Fig. 1 shows a schematic structural diagram of a system for handheld device printing according to an aspect of the present application, the system comprising: the system comprises a handheld device 11, a PC 12 and a network device 13, wherein a printing transfer program is run on the PC 12 and used for scanning all information for calling a printer on the PC 12 and reporting the scanned information to the network device 13; running a relevant program on the handheld device 11 to generate print job data and sending the print job data to the network device 13; the network device 13 runs an information management system service program, and is configured to receive information scanned by the print relay program and print job data generated on the handheld device 11; and receiving the data to be printed fed back by the information management system service program through the printing transfer program, and calling a system printing interface to print, wherein the data to be printed is determined by the information management system service program based on a target selected by a user, a printer and the printer task data. Here, the PC is a personal computer, and taking the installation of the Windows operating system as an example, the print relay program, the Windows print-related API, and the printer driver are run on the Windows operating system, the information management system service program is run on the network device, and the related program is run on the handheld device (PDA).
Specifically, the method comprises the following steps: as shown in the schematic diagram of the hardware environment mode framework shown in fig. 2, each local area network corresponds to a physical work space, and a user in one work space can walk to any one printer to take printed paper. The printer may be directly connected to the lan and shared (e.g., PRT _01), may be connected to the PC first and then shared by the PC in the lan (e.g., PRT _02A), or may be directly connected to the PC but not shared (e.g., PRT _02B, PRT _ 03). The printer may be connected by any one of the above three methods, or by any combination of a plurality of methods. The PDA device can access the information management system server (e.g., PDA _01) through a wireless access point in the lan, or can connect to the information management system server (e.g., PDA _02) through another secure network. Each local area network can be connected to an information management system server; each device can also communicate with the information management system server, and the information management system can be located in a superior local area network or a wide area network. The set printing transfer program needs to be installed on the PC, and when the PDA device is used, at least one PC is required to be started and the printing transfer program is required to be normally operated.
The network device described in this application may be one server, a plurality of servers connected via a local area network, a plurality of servers connected via the internet, or a cloud including a plurality of servers. Here, the Cloud is composed of a large number of computers or network servers based on Cloud Computing (Cloud Computing), which is a kind of distributed Computing, a super virtual computer composed of a group of loosely coupled computer sets.
In an embodiment of the present application, with continued reference to the block diagram of fig. 1, the information management system service program is a program running on the information management system server, and maintains a printer information list therein, and each printer in all the workspaces has a unique record in the list and a globally unique number; meanwhile, each printer corresponds to a print job queue. The related program on the PDA is a program running on the PDA, the program can create a new print task, and after a printer number is selected for the print task, the new print task is reported to the information management system service program, so that the information management system service program can add the print task into a print task queue corresponding to the printer number. The printing transfer program is a program running on a PC (Windows operating system), and can scan all printers that can be called by the PC, report to the information management system service program, receive printing task data returned by the information management system service program, and call a system printing interface (Windows printing API) to print. The printing data can be sent to the printer and the printer can be driven to complete the printing task through the Windows printing related API and the printer driver. Therefore, through the system, any type of PDA equipment can use a common consumption-level printer and an industrial-level printer to print through PC transfer. Under the management of an information management system, any number of PCs form a cluster, and as long as one PC in the cluster can normally operate, the whole printing process can be smoothly carried out. The printer compatible with various interfaces can support a shared printer directly connected to a local area network through a network port, and can also support a printer connected to a PC through interfaces such as a USB, a serial port and a parallel port. The uniqueness of the printer can be identified, and even if a certain printer is shared by a plurality of PCs, only one piece of registration information of the printer can be seen on the information management system and the PDA device.
Fig. 3 shows a flow diagram of a method of handheld device printing provided in accordance with an aspect of the present application, the method comprising: step S11 to step S13,
in step S11, scanning all the information of the called printers on the PC through the print relay program running on the PC, and reporting the scanned information to the information management system service program running on the network device; after the print relay program running on the PC is started, all printers that can be called by all the native computers are obtained by scanning through the Windows system print related API, and the information of all printers that can be called by all the native computers obtained by scanning is reported to the information management system service program running on the network device, where the information includes the device address, name, local area network where the printer is located, and the like.
In step S12, generating print job data by a related program running on the handheld device, and sending the print job data to the information management system service program; when the user operates the PDA, a piece of print task data is generated through a relevant program, and after a printer number is selected for the piece of print task, the print task data is reported to the information management system service program, so that the information management system service program adds the piece of print task into a print task queue corresponding to the printer number.
In step S13, the print relay program receives the data to be printed fed back by the information management system service program, and calls a system print interface to print, where the data to be printed is determined by the information management system service program based on the target selected by the user using the printer and the printer task data. After receiving the fed back data to be printed, the transfer program calls a Windows system API according to the printer to which the printer to be printed belongs, and informs the corresponding printer of performing actual printing work; wherein, the data to be printed is determined by the information management system service program according to the information reported by the printing transfer program and the target printer selected by the user and reported by the related program on the handheld device, and the data to be printed is matched with the target printer, if the print job is determined to include the print job 1 and the print job 2 according to the information reported by the print relay program, depending on the user's selection on the handheld device, print job 1 needs to be printed on target use printer A, print job 2 needs to be printed on target use printer B, the data to be printed, which is composed of the printing task 1 needing to be printed on the target printer A and the printing task 2 needing to be printed on the target printer B, is fed back to the printing transfer program, so that the corresponding printer is called to print the corresponding data needing to be printed. Through the form of PC machine transfer, solved the problem that android, iOS system lack the printer driver.
In an embodiment of the present application, in step S12, a selection operation of a user on a handheld device is obtained, and print job data is generated based on the selection operation, wherein the selection operation includes determining a target workspace. The printing transfer program starts to run, and selection operation of a user is obtained, wherein the selection operation comprises selection of a number of a target working space, the target working space is a current working space, each local area network corresponds to one physical working space, so that printers in one or more local area networks can be subsequently managed in an information management system service program according to the number of the selected current working space, and all local area networks, namely all printers corresponding to all working spaces, have a unique record in a printer information list and have a globally unique number; the PC in the working space local area network can be any one, can be one or a cluster, or can be a server provided with a Windows system and a printer driver, and the whole printing function can be used as long as at least one PC operates normally; in addition, the user of the PDA can select any printer under the workspace to print, and is not limited to a small printer on the PDA device.
Further, a list of printer information under the target workspace is determined by the information management system service. Here, the printer information list in the target workspace can be inquired by using the printer information list maintained inside the information management system service program and the number of the target workspace selected by the user.
In an embodiment of the application, after generating print task data by a related program running on a handheld device, a list of all printers in the target workspace can be obtained by the print relay program, and a target usage printer selected by the user from the list of all printers is obtained; and reporting the name of the target printer and the corresponding printing task data to the information management system service program. Here, as shown in fig. 4, after the user operates the PDA to generate print job data, a list of all printers in the target workspace (current workspace) is obtained by the information management system service program, the user is allowed to select which printer to use from the list of printers for printing, that is, the target printer to use, and the printer number selected by the user is reported to the information management system service program together with the printer job. It should be noted that, the PDA may not obtain the printer information list, but may attach a barcode label to each printer by an operator in each workspace, where the barcode content is a globally unique number of the printer, and a user may use the PDA to scan the barcode of the printer beside a target printer instead of selecting the printer from the printer information list.
With continued reference to fig. 4, identification information of the target-use printer selected by the user and corresponding print job data may be obtained; searching a corresponding printing task queue according to the identification information of the target use printer; adding the print job to the print job queue. Here, the information management system service program finds a corresponding print job queue according to a printer selected by a user, and adds print data to the print job queue.
In an embodiment of the present application, before receiving, by the print relay program, data to be printed, which is fed back by the information management system service program, the information management system service program may query, according to the machine name, the printer name, and a current target workspace, a printer list in the target workspace; if the record of the target printer is found in the printer list, acquiring a printing task queue corresponding to the target printer; if the record of the target printer is not found in the printer list, newly adding the record of the target printer in the printer list, and acquiring a printer task queue corresponding to the target printer; and summarizing the printer task queues obtained by inquiring the printer list so as to summarize the data to be printed. The information management system service program inquires a printer information list according to three conditions of a machine name, a printer name and a working space number reported by a printing transfer program, adds a new record if the printer record does not exist, registers the new record in the system and generates a globally unique number for the printer; if the record of the printer exists, finding a printer task queue corresponding to the printer to obtain task data to be printed, summarizing the two conditions, and returning the summarized task data to be printed to a printing transfer program; therefore, even if one printer is shared by a plurality of PCs, the information management system and the PDA device only see one copy of the registration information of the printer, and the situation of repeated registration does not occur.
In an embodiment of the present application, in step S11, the print intermediary program running on the PC scans device addresses of all calling printers on the PC; determining the type of each called printer according to the path format to which the equipment address belongs, and determining the printer address, the printer name and the machine name according to the type, wherein the type comprises a local printer and a shared printer; and reporting the printer address, the printer name and the machine name together with the identification information of the target working space to an information management system service program running on the network equipment. Here, the printing relay program scans all printer device addresses that can be called by the host computer, and determines whether each printer is a network sharing printer according to a path format to which the printer addresses belong, where the path format to which the printer addresses belong is, for example, a UNC format, and the UNC format is a naming rule of a universal, stable, and reliable network sharing device on Windows. That is, whether each printer is a network shared printer or a local printer is judged according to whether the printer address is in the UNC path format, so that the corresponding printer address, printer name, machine name and the identification information of the target workspace are reported to the information management system service program running on the network device. The printer in the embodiment of the application can be accessed into a network in any mode, can be directly shared into a local area network through a network port, and can also be connected to a PC; the printers may or may not be shared with the local area network after being connected to the PC, and can be used by the PDA device as long as the PC has the print intermediation program installed therein. Of course, the UNC path may not be split, and in another embodiment of the present application, the printer name of the local printer may be rewritten into the form of the UNC path, for example, if the current PC name is PC _03, and the printer name read from the Windows system API is PRT _03, the printer path is rewritten into "\\ \ PC _03\ PRT _ 03"; meanwhile, the UNC path of the local area network shared printer is not changed (such as "\ \ PC _02\ PRT _ 02A"); when the printer list is reported to the information management system service program, all printer paths (UNC paths) + workspace numbers are used.
Specifically, when determining a printer address, a printer name, and a machine name according to the type, if the type is a local printer, the printer address of the printer is used as the printer name, and the PC name is used as the machine name; and if the type is the shared printer, taking the UNC path to which the equipment address belongs as a printer address, splitting the UNC path, and obtaining a machine name and a printer name. If the printer is a local printer, the printer address is the printer name, and the local PC machine name and the printer name are reported to the information management system service program together with the number of the current working space; if the printer is shared, the printer address is a UNC path, wherein the UNC path is 'machine name \ printer name', the UNC path is divided into two items of an actual machine name and a printer name, the actual machine name is a fixed IP under the condition of pure network sharing of the printer, and the machine name and the printer name obtained by the division and the number (such as LAN _01) of the current working space are reported to the information management system service program together.
In an embodiment of the present application, a system printing interface may be called by using a printer according to a target to which the data to be printed belongs, and the system printing interface notifies a corresponding target to use the printer to perform actual printing; and after a preset time interval, scanning all the information of the called printer on the PC through the transfer program again until the printing transfer program is closed. After receiving the data to be printed, the print relay program calls a Windows system API according to the printer to which the data to be printed belongs, notifies the corresponding printer to perform actual printing, and scans information of all printers that can be called (for example, scans device addresses of all printers that can be called) on the PC again through the relay program after a preset time interval (for example, 1 hour) until the program is closed by the user.
Fig. 5 is a flowchart illustrating a method for printing by a PDA device according to an embodiment of the present invention, where after a printer relay program starts to run, a user selects a number of a current workspace, scans all printers that can be called by a PC according to the selected number, circularly processes each printer, determines whether a printer name is in a UNC path format, if so, splits the UNC path to obtain a machine name to which the shared printer belongs and a real name of the printer, otherwise, obtains the machine name of the current PC as the machine name to which the printer belongs, and after all the printers are completely processed, reports a list of the machine name to which the printer belongs and the printer name together with the current workspace number to an information management system service program; then, the information management system service program circularly processes each printer, judges whether the printer is recorded in the system, if so, obtains a task to be printed in a task queue corresponding to the printer, otherwise, registers the printer in the system and generates a globally unique number for the printer; summarizing the tasks to be printed corresponding to the printers under the two conditions, returning the data to be printed to the printing transfer program after all the printers are circularly processed, calling the corresponding printers by the printing transfer program to print, and scanning the printers which can be called by the PC again after a certain time interval until the programs are closed.
In addition, the embodiment of the present application also provides a computer readable medium, on which computer readable instructions are stored, and the computer readable instructions can be executed by a processor to implement the aforementioned method for printing by a handheld device.
In an embodiment of the present application, there is also provided a handheld device printing apparatus, including:
one or more processors; and
a memory storing computer readable instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to perform the operations of the method as previously described.
For example, the computer readable instructions, when executed, cause the one or more processors to:
scanning all information for calling printers on a PC through a printing transfer program running on the PC, and reporting the scanned information to an information management system service program running on network equipment;
generating print task data through a related program running on the handheld device, and sending the print task data to the information management system service program;
