Detailed Description
Reference will now be made in detail to embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to the same or similar elements or elements having the same or similar functions throughout. The following is illustrative by reference to the examples and is intended to be illustrative of the invention and is not to be construed as limiting the invention.
An ignition module distributor, the scheme is as follows:
structure and working principle of distributor
The distributor is composed of an interrupter, a distributor, a capacitor, an ignition advance adjusting device and the like, and the distributor handles multiple tasks, wherein the first task is to distribute high voltage from a coil to a correct cylinder. This is accomplished by a cover and a rotor to which the coils are attached, the rotor rotating within the cover. The rotor rotates past the contacts of each cylinder and the coil generates a high voltage pulse as the tip of the rotor passes each contact. The pulse breaks through the gap between the rotor and the contact (which are not actually touching) and then continues through the spark plug wire to the spark plug of the corresponding cylinder.
The distributor in the ignition system of gasoline engine can deliver high-voltage current to spark plug of each cylinder according to the ignition sequence of cylinder. In battery ignition systems, the distributor and the disconnector are usually mounted on the same shaft and are driven by the camshaft of the gas distribution system. It also has ignition advance angle regulator and capacitor. The contact of the breaker arm is closed by a spring piece, and opened by a breaker cam, and the opening gap is about 0.30-0.45 mm. The number of the protrusions of the de-energizing cam is the same as the number of the cylinders. When the contact is opened, the branch arms of the distributor are just aligned to the corresponding side electrodes, and the high-voltage electricity generated by induction is transmitted to the spark plugs of the corresponding cylinders from the secondary coils through the branch arms, the side electrodes and the high-voltage wires. When gasoline with different octane numbers is used, the initial ignition advance angle can be manually adjusted. When the rotation speed of the internal combustion engine rises, the centrifugal ignition advance angle adjusting device advances the ignition, otherwise, the ignition is delayed. When the load of the internal combustion engine is reduced, the vacuum degree in the air inlet main pipe is increased and is transmitted to the vacuum type ignition advance angle adjusting device through the connecting pipe, so that the ignition is advanced. Such adjustments may ensure that the engine is operating at the proper spark advance. In a magneto ignition system, a circuit breaker and the like are generally integrated with a magneto.
2.1. Circuit breaker
The function of the circuit breaker is to periodically switch on and off the circuit of the primary winding of the ignition coil, causing a change in the primary current and the magnetic flux in the core of the ignition coil, so as to generate a high voltage in the secondary winding of the ignition coil. The breaker is composed of a pair of tungsten contacts and a breaker cam. The number of the convex edges of the breaker cam is equal to the number of the cylinders of the engine. The camshaft is connected with the distributor shaft through a centrifugal ignition advance regulator. The distributor shaft is driven by the crankshaft of the engine through the gear on the distribution camshaft, and the rotating speed of the distributor shaft is equal to the rotating speed of the distribution camshaft and is half of the rotating speed of the crankshaft (four-stroke engine).
2.2. Distributor
The distributor distributes the high voltage generated in the ignition coil to the spark plugs of the cylinders in turn in the operation sequence of the engine. It is mainly composed of distributor cover and fire-dividing head made of bakelite. The distributor cover is provided with a deep-concave central high-voltage wire jack and a plurality of deep-concave high-voltage wire jacks with the number equal to that of the engine cylinders, and copper sleeves are embedded inside the high-voltage wire jacks. The extension part of the top end of the camshaft is sleeved with the fire dividing head, the extension part is cylindrical, but the side surface of the extension part is milled to form a plane, and the shape of the inner hole of the fire dividing head is in accordance with the shape of the inner hole of the fire dividing head, so that the fire dividing head and the cam can rotate synchronously, and the fire dividing head and the side electrode on the cover of the distributor can keep correct relative positions.
2.3. Capacitor with a capacitor element
The capacitor is installed on the shell of the distributor, and the capacitors used by the engine ignition system are paper capacitors generally. The pole pieces are two long and narrow metal foil strips, two same long and narrow very thin insulating papers are overlapped with the pole pieces in a staggered mode, the pole pieces are rolled into a cylinder shape, and after the pole pieces are impregnated with wax insulating media, the cylinder shape is filled into a cylinder-shaped metal shell 4 for sealing. One pole piece is in internal contact with the metal housing, and the other pole piece is connected with a lead wire led out of the housing. The capacitor shell is fixed on the distributor shell and is bonded, so that the capacitor is connected with the breaker contact in parallel.
2.4. Ignition advance adjusting device
To achieve spark advance, the breaker contacts must be separated near the end of the compression stroke before the piston reaches top dead center. The longer the time from the separation of the contacts until the piston reaches top dead center, the greater the angle through which the crankshaft rotates, i.e., the greater the angle of advance of ignition. Therefore, the ignition advance angle can be adjusted by adjusting the separation time of the breaker contact, namely changing the relative position between the contact and the breaker cam or between the breaker cam and the distributor shaft. The greater the angle through which the cam rotates relative to the shaft, the greater the angle of advance of ignition. Another method of adjustment is to immobilize the cam (without changing the relative position of the cam to the shaft) and advance the ignition by rotating the breaker contacts through an angle theta against the direction of rotation of the cam. The greater the angle through which the contacts rotate relative to the cam, the greater the angle of advance of ignition.
Centrifugal ignition advance adjusting device: when the engine is working, it utilizes the method of changing the relative position between breaker cam and distributor shaft to automatically regulate the ignition advance angle when the engine speed is changed. When the engine works, when the rotating speed of the crankshaft reaches 200-400 r/min (the rotating speed is different due to the vehicle type), the centrifugal force of the heavy blocks overcomes the action of the tensile force of the spring and is thrown outwards. At the moment, the pin on the two blocks pushes the shifting plate and the cam to rotate for an angle relative to the distributor shaft along the rotating direction, so that the contact is pushed open in advance, and the ignition advance angle is increased. The ignition advance angle is increased along with the increase of the engine speed.
The above description is only for the purpose of illustrating the preferred embodiments of the present invention and is not to be construed as limiting the invention, and any modifications, equivalents and improvements made within the spirit and principle of the present invention are intended to be included within the scope of the present invention.
