Abstract

Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for notifying in a voice format.
Background
Currently, in the B-TrunC technology and the LTE technology, the VOIP voice format is supported by default. In the total length of VOIP format, the IP header occupies 50% of the entire data length.
In order to save the wireless resources of the air interface, B-Trunc introduces a voice format of adaptive multi-rate coding (AMR Over PDCP) based on a packet data convergence protocol, and the payload of the adaptive multi-rate coding (AMR) is transmitted at the air interface, namely only three AMR sub-streams are transmitted at the air interface, so that compared with the data of a standard VOIP format, 42 bytes are reduced, and the utilization rate of the air interface resources can be improved by fifty percent.
The inventor discovers that in the process of implementing the invention: in the above system supporting AMR Over PDCP and VOIP two voice formats, what voice format is used is negotiated by the terminal and the server, and the base station does not participate in the negotiation process, so the base station cannot know the voice format used before service data transmission. The difference from the existing system is that when the inter-station handover is performed for the user, the switching request message received by the eGME carries the voice format type to indicate the voice format used by the current context, that is, the switching request message sent by the source service base station carries the voice format type, and then the eGME forwards the switching request message to the target base station, so that the target base station can establish a corresponding user plane for the user as soon as possible according to the voice format type indicated by the switching request message, and the base station to which the user is switched can be ensured to perform correct transmission processing on the user service data.
