本发明涉及一种用于进行气体催化反应的三维针织贵金属网,特别是涉及用于氨和空气催化氧化获得硝酸的三维针织贵金属网。
使用可透气的机织物形贵金属催化剂被证明是一种进行某些催化过程获得最高产量的方法。一个已知的例子是在氨气燃烧生产硝酸使用的铂/铑催化剂网。
催化剂网通常是用细的贵金属丝在织机上生产的。用贵金属丝通过针织生产催化剂网的方法最近在EP-A-0364153中公开了。该文献也提到了三维针织,但没有提及关于这种针织织物结构的进一步的细节。
象所有的催化剂网一样,针织网具有催化表面积大、机械强度高和生产技术简单的优点,然而,在反应期间贵金属的损耗相对大,及与此相关的使用期限短是它的缺点。如果金属丝垂直于反应气体流动方向放置,在金属丝表面的反应过程变得不稳定,同时还有相应的温度波动,导致了反应的非线性过程,并且对产量和网的使用期限有负作用。
本发明的目的是提供一种进行气体反应,特别是用于氨气与空气催化氧化生产硝酸的三维针织贵金属网。它能提高产量并保证反应过程的稳定,同时,使贵金属的损耗最少,延长催化剂网的使用期限。
按照本发明,这一目的是通过两层或多层的针织网用起圈线(Pile-thread)将各层组织(stitch)连接到一起来实现的,在每组织中最多有十根起圈线,起圈线的布置必须与反应气体的流动方向成0-50°的角度。
网最好是这样使用,即在每个组织(stitch)中用二至六根起圈线。起圈线的长度为1-10mm是有利的。如果起圈线在其平行于反应气体流动方向的方向上与流动轴线成0-30°的角度偏差是更有利的,小于15°的角度是最有益的。
这种构造的催化剂网在工业化生产硝酸中能显著地提高产量,在填充反应器时还可能节约贵金属,同时能降低反应器中贵金属的损耗,延长催化剂网的使用期限。意想不到的是,反应期间催化剂网表面的温度波动和过热区域被消除了。
优选使用至少有两层针床的卧式针织机来生产这种催化剂网。通过连接前后针床的组织来产生起圈线。起圈线也可以重复地插入一排组织,以获得每单位面积的高比例的这种线。这样辅助地提高了抗压强度和网的稳定性。对同样的面积/重量,这种网比单个机织或针织布置成两层或多层的网有更好的均匀性。

Claims (4)

1、一种用于进行气体催化反应,特别是进行氨气与空气催化氧化生产硝酸的三维针织贵金属网,其特征在于:该网是两层或多层针织的,用起圈线将各层的组织连接在一起,每组织有多至十根起圈线,起圈线相对于反应气体流动方向以0-50°的角度布置。
2、根据权利要求1的贵金属网,其特征在于:在每组织中有两至六根起圈线。
3、根据权利要求1或2的贵金属网,其特征在于:所述起圈线的长度是1-10mm。
4、根据前述任何一项权利要求的贵金属网,其特征在于:起圈线在其平行于反应气体流动方向的方向上与流动轴线最好是0-30°的角度。
