Abstract
The invention discloses a method and a device for on-line upgrading of a server LCD module, wherein the method is applied to the device for on-line upgrading of the server LCD module and comprises the following steps: the BMC is communicated with the LCD module through a serial port, wherein the BMC and the LCD module are both contained in a server LCD module online upgrading device; the BMC judges whether a user burning request instruction is received; if so, the BMC sends a connection instruction to the LCD module; after the connection is successful, the BMC sends an erasing instruction to the LCD module; after the erasing is successful, the BMC sends the burning file to the LCD module; the BMC sends a burning instruction to the LCD module; the LCD module writes the burning file into a ROM chip, wherein the ROM chip is contained in the LCD module. Through the arrangement, the method can directly upgrade the LCD firmware through the online upgrade device of the LCD module of the server, avoids the power failure of the server and the invariance brought by the interruption of user services, also avoids the damage to the server caused by the disassembly of the case, and greatly improves the upgrade efficiency of the LCD firmware of the server.

Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of servers, in particular to a method and a device for online upgrading of a server LCD module.
Background
The existing method for upgrading the module firmware of the LCD (liquid crystal display) first needs to power off the server in the running server, and then opens the chassis to detach the LCD module from the server. And connecting a main control chip MCU (microcontrollerUnit) in the LCD module with a computer by a special burning tool, and simultaneously installing corresponding burning software and a driver in the computer. In the above process, the power failure needs to stop the service running on the server, which affects the service of the client. In addition, when the LCD firmware needs to be upgraded in a large scale in a computer room, a large number of LCD modules need to be disassembled and assembled, which is a very large workload for maintenance personnel, and the stability and consistency of the server are affected when the server is opened. Therefore, the existing server LCD module upgrading method is very cumbersome and inconvenient.

The invention mainly aims to provide an on-line upgrading method for a server LCD module, and aims to solve the technical problems that the existing server LCD module upgrading method is very complicated and inconvenient.

s1: the BMC2 is communicated with the LCD module 1 through a serial port, wherein the BMC2 and the LCD module 1 are both contained in a server LCD module online upgrading device;
s2: the BMC2 judges whether a user burning request instruction is received;
s3: if yes, the BMC2 sends a connection instruction to the LCD module 1;
s4: after the connection is successful, the BMC2 sends an erasing instruction to the LCD module 1;
s5: after the erasing is successful, the BMC2 sends the burning file to the LCD module 1;
s6: the BMC2 sends a burning command to the LCD module 1;
s7: the LCD module 1 writes the burning file into a ROM chip, wherein the ROM chip is contained in the LCD module 1.
In the embodiment of the present invention, when a BMC2(baseboard management controller) is started, it is necessary to initialize a corresponding serial port, set a baud rate 115200, set a data stream format, and set a frame format. The BMC2 communicates with the LCD module 1 through a serial port to realize data interaction between the LCD module and the BMC. Specifically, the BMC chip AST2500 of the upper motherboard of the hardware is connected to the MCU11 of the LCD module 1 through a serial port, and the MCU11 drives the LCD13 through the SPI bus. The BMC2 is in communication connection with the client 3, and the user can send a control command to the BMC2 through the client 3. The BMC2 judges whether a user burning request instruction is received in real time; if the BMC2 receives the user recording request command, it generates a connection command and sends the connection command to the LCD module 1. After the connection is successful, the BMC2 sends an erasing instruction to the LCD module 1 to complete the preparation of the burning file. After the program of the LCD module 1 is successfully erased, the BMC2 sends a recording file, which is specifically a bin file, to the LCD module 1. After sending the burning file, the BMC2 sends a burning command to the LCD module 1, the LCD module 1 starts burning, specifically, the MCU11 writes the burning file into the ROM chip after receiving the burning file, wherein the ROM chip is included in the LCD module 1, thereby completing the online upgrade of the LCD module 1. Through the arrangement, the method can directly upgrade the LCD firmware through the BMC2, avoids the power failure of the server and the invariance brought by the interruption of user services, also avoids the damage to the server caused by the disassembly of the case, and greatly improves the upgrading efficiency of the LCD firmware of the server.
Further, the step S2, in which the BMC2 is in communication connection with the Web side, and the BMC2 determines whether the user burn request instruction is received, includes:

In the embodiment of the invention, a user accesses a server through a world wide Web (world wide Web) end and sends an instruction to the server. the BMC sends a burning instruction to the LCD module;
