Background
The rapid development of electronic technology and information industry has led to the development of various electronic devices with light, thin, short, small and powerful functions. Such as computers, notebook computers, tablet computers, smart phones, etc., have become indispensable electronic devices for modern people in daily life or work. In most cases, users operate electronic devices by using input devices such as a mouse and a keyboard, and the keyboard is most convenient.
In order to clearly see the symbol on each key in an environment with insufficient light, technicians introduce light source technology into the keyboard to develop a light-emitting keyboard with a backlight module. The light emitting keyboard in the market at present is that the bottom of the key module is provided with a backlight module, and the backlight module comprises a light guide plate, a reflecting plate, a light emitting element and other structures. The light-emitting element is arranged on the light guide plate, so that light can be guided to the bottom of the whole keyboard through the light guide plate and can be projected to the back of the keycap of each key. The light can be transmitted out from the key surface or the periphery of the key, so that the user can clearly see the character symbols on the keycap.
The main function of the reflective plate is to reflect light back to the light guide plate. The material of the reflective plate is generally white plastic plate, such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and has no conductive effect. Therefore, a metal plate is added to the bottom of the backlight module of a part of the light-emitting keyboard, or the metal plate is directly used to replace the reflecting plate, so as to prevent the keyboard from being damaged due to electrostatic discharge (ESD). However, the additional arrangement of a metal plate increases the thickness of the backlight module, which is not favorable for the thin design of the light-emitting keyboard. The metal plate is directly used to replace the reflecting plate, so that the reflecting effect is poor, the luminous effect of the luminous keyboard is further poor, the brightness is low, and the improvement is necessary.

Detailed Description
In order to make the technical content of the present invention more comprehensible, preferred embodiments are described below.
Fig. 1 is an exploded view of a keyboard backlight module according to an embodiment of the invention, and fig. 2 is a partial sectional view of the keyboard backlight module shown in fig. 1 after being assembled, please refer to fig. 1 and fig. 2 at the same time. In the present embodiment, the keyboard backlight module 1 includes a light shielding sheet 10, a light guide plate 20, a metal plate 30 and a light emitting device 40. In the view of fig. 1 and 2, the light shielding sheet 10, the light guide plate 20, and the metal plate 30 are sequentially disposed from top to bottom.
Specifically, the light shielding sheet 10 has a lower surface 11 and an upper surface 12, and the upper surface 12 faces the bottom of the key module (not shown). The light shielding sheet 10 includes a plurality of light emitting parts 13, which respectively correspond to the keys (not shown) of the key module. In the embodiment, the light guide plate 20 has a first opening 21 and a light emitting surface 22, and the light emitting surface 22 is disposed on the lower surface 11 of the light shielding sheet 10. The metal plate 30 has a second opening 31 and a reflective surface 32. The metal plate 30 is located on a side of the light guide plate 20 opposite to the light exit surface 22, and the reflection surface 32 is disposed facing the light guide plate 20. Preferably, a glue 50 may be disposed on the periphery of the lower surface 11 of the light shielding sheet 10, such that the metal plate 30 and the light shielding sheet 10 are connected by the glue 50, and the light guide plate 20 is located between the metal plate 30 and the light shielding sheet 10. The reflective surface 32 of the metal plate 30 is provided with a plurality of reflective structures 321.
When the metal plate 30 is disposed on a side of the light guide plate 20 opposite to the light-emitting surface 22, the first opening 21 and the second opening 31 are disposed correspondingly to form a through hole, and the light-emitting element 40 can be disposed in the through hole. In the embodiment, the light emitting element 40 is disposed on the circuit board 41, the circuit board 41 is disposed on the bottom surface of the metal plate 30, and the light emitting element 40 passes through the second opening 31 of the metal plate 30 and is accommodated in the through hole formed by the first opening 21 and the second opening 31. The light emitted from the light emitting device 40 enters the light guide plate 20 from the sidewall of the first opening 21 and is guided to the whole light guide plate 20. Part of the light is emitted toward the light shielding sheet 10 through the light-emitting surface 22, and is emitted to the key cap of the key through the light-emitting part 13 of the light shielding sheet 10, thereby achieving the effect of light emission of the key.
If the light in the light guide plate 20 is emitted downward to the metal plate 30, or the light emitted from the light emitting device 40 is emitted into the metal plate 30 through the second opening 31, the light can be reflected to the light guide plate 20 by the reflective surface 32 of the metal plate 30 and then utilized by the light guide plate 20. Therefore, the metal plate 30 can be used as a reflective plate, and the reflective structure 321 can further improve the reflective effect of the reflective surface 32.
In the present embodiment, the material of the metal plate 30 may be aluminum, copper, or a combination thereof. Preferably, the reflective surface 32 is an aluminum layer, and the reflective structure 321 is disposed on the aluminum layer. For example, the metal plate 30 may be an aluminum plate, and the surface (aluminum) of the metal plate 30 may be directly used as the reflective surface 32. Alternatively, the metal plate 30 may be a copper plate, and a layer of aluminum may be plated on the surface of the copper plate to serve as the reflection surface 32. In the present embodiment, a textured surface (texture surface) is formed on the reflection surface 32, as shown in fig. 2, and the microstructure constituting the textured surface is the reflection structure 321.
Preferably, the reflecting structures 321 can be stripe microstructures and are arranged in parallel on the reflecting surface 32. For example, the reflection surface 32 may be formed by Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) to form a hairline surface, as shown in fig. 1, and each hairline (stripe-shaped microstructure) is the reflection structure 321 of this embodiment. The reflectivity of a general white Plastic (PET) reflector plate can reach about 88% under a 450nm wave band. After the aluminum layer (the reflective surface 32) forms the surface of the hairline (the reflective structure 321), the reflectivity of the metal plate 30 can be increased to 88%.
Fig. 3 is an enlarged view of a portion of the light emitting device shown in fig. 1 accommodated in the second opening of the metal plate, that is, an enlarged view of the area a shown in fig. 1, please refer to fig. 3. Preferably, the reflective structure 321 of the present embodiment is parallel to one of the sidewalls 311 of the second opening 31, so that the reflective structure 321 and a main path (as indicated by the arrow in fig. 3) of the light emitted from the light emitting device 40 can be perpendicular to each other or parallel to each other. In fig. 3, the reflecting structure 321 and the sidewall 311 are parallel to each other, so that the reflecting structure 321 is perpendicular to the main path of the light, and the light can be more effectively emitted toward the light guide plate 20 by the structure, so as to improve the reflectivity of the metal plate 30. In other embodiments, the reflective structure 321 may be parallel to the sidewall 312 (i.e., the reflective structure 321 may be perpendicular to the sidewall 311), so that the reflective structure 321 is parallel to the main path of the light, which may also improve the reflectivity of the metal plate 30.
The circuit board 41 is disposed on the bottom surface of the metal plate 30, and further utilizes the conductive property of the metal plate 30 to achieve the effect of preventing electrostatic discharge (ESD). Fig. 4 is a schematic bottom view of the metal plate shown in fig. 1, please refer to fig. 4. Preferably, a surface of the metal plate 30 opposite to the reflective surface 32, i.e. a bottom surface of the metal plate 30, has a conductive region 33 and a non-conductive region 34. The conductive region 33 is connected to the ground element to protect against electrostatic discharge, thereby preventing the keyboard backlight module 1 or the entire light-emitting keyboard from being damaged by electrostatic discharge.
The non-conductive region 34 of the present embodiment is used for heat dissipation. A non-conductive layer, such as ink, may be applied to the bottom portion of the metal plate 30. Specifically, a non-conductive layer may be coated on the non-conductive region 33 by ink printing according to the configuration of the conductive region 33 to form the non-conductive region 34. The area not coated with the non-conductive layer (ink) is the bottom surface of the metal plate 30 to serve as the conductive area 33. Preferably, the non-conductive layer may be black ink, which has high thermal conductivity and can be used for absorbing heat to absorb heat radiation inside the keyboard backlight module 1, such as heat radiation emitted from the circuit board 41. The heat radiation is then conducted to the metal plate 30 and assisted by the metal plate 30 to achieve the heat dissipation effect. Preferably, the thickness of the metal plate 30 can be 0.02 mm to 0.1 mm, so as to achieve a better heat dissipation effect.
In summary, the keyboard backlight module according to the present invention includes a light shielding sheet, a light guide plate and a metal plate. The light guide plate is arranged on the lower surface of the shading sheet, and the reflecting surface of the metal plate faces the light guide plate. The reflecting surface of the metal plate can reflect the light to the light guide plate and then be utilized by total reflection, so that the metal plate can be directly used as a reflecting plate, and the effect of thinning can be achieved. Moreover, the reflecting surface is provided with a plurality of reflecting structures, and the reflectivity of the reflecting surface can be improved by the reflecting structures so as to provide enough brightness. Meanwhile, the conductive characteristic of the metal plate can be utilized to achieve the protection effect of electrostatic discharge.
In addition, the bottom surface of the metal plate can be coated with a non-conductive layer to form a non-conductive area, and the non-conductive area is a conductive area. In addition to the aforementioned electrostatic discharge protection effect achieved by the conductive region, the heat radiation (e.g., the heat radiation emitted by the circuit board) inside the keyboard backlight module can be absorbed by the non-conductive region and conducted to the metal plate, so as to achieve the heat dissipation effect.
