Description

Charging method and device
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to the field of electronic technologies, and in particular, to a charging method and device.
Background
Generally, the charging mode of the battery may include both constant current charging and constant voltage charging. The constant current charging may be expressed as keeping the charging current constant during the charging process until the charging voltage value of the battery reaches a preset value. Constant voltage charging may be expressed as a charging voltage value that is maintained at a constant value throughout the charging time during the charging process, and a current that is gradually decreased as the terminal voltage of the battery is gradually increased. When the battery is charged by constant current charging, the battery generates large polarization due to large current, so that the charging speed is reduced, and the battery generates heat due to the large current. In the related art, in order to alleviate the heat generation of the battery, the constant current charging is continued at a reduced charging current value after the battery is subjected to the constant current charging for a period of time, but in this case, the polarization phenomenon of the battery cannot be alleviated, and is likely to be further aggravated, which may further result in a reduction in the charging speed. In the related art, in order to alleviate the polarization phenomenon of the battery, the constant-current charging is performed on the battery for a period of time, and then the constant-voltage charging is performed on the battery, however, in the process of converting the constant-current charging to the constant-voltage charging, the temperature of the battery rises rapidly, and the aging of the battery is accelerated.

Detailed Description
Reference will now be made in detail to the exemplary embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. When the following description refers to the accompanying drawings, like numbers in different drawings represent the same or similar elements unless otherwise indicated. The implementations described in the exemplary embodiments below are not intended to represent all implementations consistent with the present disclosure. Rather, they are merely examples of apparatus and methods consistent with certain aspects of the present disclosure, as detailed in the appended claims.
Fig. 1 is a flow chart illustrating a charging method according to an exemplary embodiment. The method may be applied to a charging control module, which may be, for example, a charging control circuit or a charging control chip, and the type of the charging control module is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in fig. 1, the method may include: step 100, charging the battery by adopting a first charging mode.
In step 100, may include:
and 1001, performing constant current charging on the battery at a first current value from a first time to a second time later than the first time.
And 1002, charging the battery with a second current value from the second time to a third time later than the second time, wherein the second current value is gradually decreased from the first current value to a third current value between the second time and the third time.
And 1003, performing constant current charging on the battery at a third current value from the third time to a fourth time later than the third time.
As an example of this embodiment, the charging control module may detect a voltage value of the battery before charging the battery, and may determine whether the voltage value of the battery meets a preset first charging condition (for example, the first charging condition may be a voltage value interval, and if the voltage value of the battery belongs to the voltage value interval, it may be determined that the voltage value of the battery meets the preset first charging condition.
The charging control module may start constant-current charging of the battery at a preset first current value when the voltage value of the battery meets a first charging condition (an example of a first time), and may continuously detect the voltage value and the current value of the battery throughout the charging process (for example, may detect the voltage of the battery at a preset detection frequency), the charging control module may determine whether the voltage of the battery meets a second charging condition (for example, may determine that the voltage of the battery meets the second charging condition if the voltage of the battery is greater than or equal to a first voltage threshold), and may charge the battery at a second current value from the time to a third time when the voltage value of the battery is determined to meet the second charging condition (an example of a second time), and the second current value may be decreased stepwise from the first current value to the third current value at a preset period and a preset magnitude during charging of the battery at the second current value (for example, if the first current value is 5 amperes, the third current value is 3 amperes, the preset period is 30 seconds, and the preset decrement amplitude is 0.5 amperes, the charging control module may perform constant current charging on the battery at 4.5 amperes in the first 20 seconds of the first period, perform power-off processing on the battery in the last 10 seconds of the first period, then perform constant current charging on the battery at 4 amperes in the first 20 seconds of the second period, perform power-off processing on the battery in the last 10 seconds of the second period, finally perform constant current charging on the battery at 3.5 amperes in the first 20 seconds of the third period, and perform power-off processing on the battery in the last 10 seconds of the third period). The charging control module may perform constant current charging on the battery at the third current value from the third time.
As another example of the embodiment, the charging control module may detect a voltage value of the battery before charging the battery, and may determine whether the voltage value of the battery meets a preset first charging condition (for example, if the voltage value is greater than a preset voltage threshold, it may be determined that the voltage value of the battery meets the preset first charging condition). The charging control module may use a time when the voltage value of the battery is determined to meet the first charging condition as a first time, and may determine the second time, the third time, and the fourth time according to an interval between the first time, a preset first time and the second time, a preset second time and the third time, and a preset third time and a preset fourth time. The charging control module may start constant current charging of the battery at a preset first current value from the first time to the second time. And charging the battery with the second current value from the second time to the third time, wherein the second current value is gradually decreased from the first current value to the third current value in the process of charging the battery with the second current value. The charging control module may perform constant current charging on the battery at the third current value from the third time.
Generally speaking, because when adopting constant voltage charging, the speed that the current value descends is slower, make the charging current value maintain a higher current value scope in longer time, cause the battery to generate heat further aggravation, this disclosed embodiment is through making the second current value from the cascaded third current value that descends of first current value between second moment to third moment, compare in constant voltage charging, the speed that the current value descends has been accelerated, the battery phenomenon of generating heat has effectively been alleviated, be favorable to improving the life of battery, furthermore, the direct reduction of charging current has been avoided to the cascaded descending of charging current value, be favorable to alleviating the polarization of battery, and then the charging rate of battery has effectively been promoted.
In a possible implementation, the time intervals between the first time and the second time, between the second time and the third time, and between the third time and the fourth time are the same, partially the same, or different from each other.
For example, the charging control module may detect a voltage value of the battery at a preset frequency during charging, and may dynamically determine a time interval between the first time and the second time, between the second time and the third time, and between the third time and the fourth time according to a real-time voltage value of the battery.
For another example, the time intervals between the first time and the second time, between the second time and the third time, and between the third time and the fourth time may also be preset in the charging control module, for example, according to empirical values. It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present disclosure, a determination manner of a time interval between a first time and a second time, between the second time and a third time, and between the third time and a fourth time is not limited.
Fig. 2 is a flow chart illustrating a charging method according to an example embodiment. As shown in fig. 2, the difference between fig. 2 and fig. 1 is that step 1002 may include: step 200, performing constant current charging on the battery in each sub-period between the second time and the third time, and gradually decreasing the current values adopted for performing constant current charging on the battery in each sub-period according to the sequence of the sub-periods from first to last; the decreasing amplitudes of the current values adopted for constant current charging of the battery in each sub-period are the same, partially the same or different.
For example, if the first current value is 5 amperes, the third current value is 3 amperes, the durations of the sub-periods are equal, and the decreasing amplitudes of the current values are 0.5 amperes, the charging control module may perform constant current charging on the battery at 4.5 amperes in the first sub-period, perform constant current charging on the battery at 4 amperes in the second sub-period, and perform constant current charging on the battery at 3.5 amperes in the third sub-period.
In one possible implementation manner, the decreasing amplitude of the current value adopted for constant current charging of the battery in each sub-period is gradually decreased in the sequence of the sub-periods from first to last. Therefore, the current value can be quickly reduced, and the heating phenomenon of the battery can be further relieved.
For example, if the first current value is 5 amperes, the third current value is 3 amperes, and the durations of the sub-periods are equal, the charging control module may perform constant current charging on the battery at 4 amperes in the first sub-period, perform constant current charging on the battery at 3.5 amperes in the second sub-period, and perform constant current charging on the battery at 3.2 amperes in the third sub-period.
In one possible implementation manner, the decreasing amplitude of the current value adopted for constant current charging of the battery in each sub-period gradually increases in the order of the sub-periods from first to last. Therefore, the charging current can be further effectively prevented from being reduced too fast, and the polarization of the battery is favorably relieved.
For example, if the first current value is 5 amperes, the third current value is 3 amperes, and each subinterval is 30 seconds, the charging control module may perform constant-current charging on the battery at 4.7 amperes in the first subinterval, perform constant-current charging on the battery at 4.1 amperes in the second subinterval, and perform constant-current charging on the battery at 3.1 amperes in the third subinterval.
It should be noted that other forms of decreasing amplitudes may be determined according to the charging requirement (for example, the decreasing amplitude of the current value adopted for the constant current charging of the battery in each sub-period is changed randomly), and the embodiment of the present disclosure does not limit the changing form of the decreasing amplitude of the current value adopted for the constant current charging of the battery in each sub-period.
In one possible implementation, the time durations of the sub-periods may be the same, partially the same or different from each other. The duration of each sub-period can be adjusted and set according to the actual charging requirement, and the duration of each sub-period is not limited in the embodiment of the disclosure.
Fig. 3 is a flow chart illustrating a charging method according to an example embodiment. As shown in fig. 3, the method may further include step 300 of charging the battery in a second charging mode, in which the battery is charged at a constant voltage by a preset voltage value; in the whole process of charging the battery, the battery is charged by adopting the first charging mode once or for multiple times, and the battery is charged by adopting the second charging mode once or for multiple times.
For example, the charging control module may detect a voltage value and a current value of the battery at a preset frequency during the process of charging the battery in the first charging mode, and determine whether the voltage value of the battery satisfies the third charging condition. The charging control module may perform constant voltage charging on the battery at a preset voltage value when it is determined that the voltage value of the battery satisfies a third charging condition (e.g., the voltage value of the battery is greater than a second voltage threshold). And may end the constant voltage charging of the battery when it is detected that the charging current value is less than the preset current threshold value. The polarization of the battery can be further effectively relieved by adopting constant voltage charging to the battery, and the actual capacity of the battery is enlarged.
It should be noted that the order between the first charging mode and the second charging mode may be adjusted according to the charging requirement during the whole process of charging the battery, for example, the first charging mode and the second charging mode may be alternately used for charging the battery for a plurality of times during the whole process of charging the battery. The disclosed embodiment does not limit the sequence between the first charging mode and the second charging mode, so that the disclosed embodiment can flexibly select different charging modes to meet batteries with different characteristics.
In a possible implementation manner, in order to adopt the first charging mode for a plurality of times to charge the battery, a plurality of current values of the first charging mode adopted at the next time are all smaller than the minimum current value of the first charging mode adopted at the previous time, so that the charging current value adopting the first charging mode at each time is continuously decreased with the increase of the times, thereby being beneficial to further eliminating the polarization of the battery and relieving the heating phenomenon of the battery.
For example, if the battery is charged in the first charging mode for 2 times in the entire process of charging the battery, the current values used when the battery is charged in the first charging mode for the second time are all smaller than the third current values used when the battery is charged in the first charging mode for the first time.
In a possible implementation manner, in a case where the battery is charged by adopting the second charging mode for multiple times, a voltage value of the second charging mode adopted for the next time is greater than a voltage value of the second charging mode adopted for the previous time, so that as the number of times increases, the charging voltage of the second charging mode adopted for each time continuously increases, which is beneficial to further eliminating polarization of the battery and increasing the capacity of the battery.
For example, if the battery is charged in the second mode 2 times in the entire process of charging the battery, the voltage value used when the battery is charged in the second mode for the second time is larger than the third current value used when the battery is charged in the second mode for the first time.
In one possible implementation, in a case where the battery is charged by using the second charging mode a plurality of times, the battery is charged by using the first charging mode one or more times between charging the battery by using the second charging mode twice. After the first charging mode is adopted for charging the battery for one time or multiple times, the second charging mode is adopted for constant-voltage charging of the battery, so that battery polarization accumulated when the first charging mode is adopted for charging the battery for one time or multiple times can be effectively relieved, and the actual capacity of the battery is further expanded.
For example, the charging control module may charge the battery in the second charging mode one time after charging the battery in the first charging mode one or more times, and repeat this process until the charging control module detects that the battery is fully charged.
In one possible implementation manner, for the case that the battery is charged by adopting the first charging mode for multiple times, the charging time lengths in each time of adopting the first charging mode are the same, partially the same or different from each other; and aiming at the condition that the battery is charged by adopting the second charging mode for multiple times, the charging time length of each time by adopting the second charging mode is the same, partially the same or different.
FIG. 4 is a block diagram of an electronic device in an application example. The electronic device may be an electronic device such as a mobile phone, a smart watch, a tablet computer, a notebook computer, and the like, and the type of the electronic device is not limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in fig. 4, the electronic device 40 may include a battery 41 and a charging control module 42, wherein the charging control module 42 may be electrically connected to the battery 41, and the charging control module 42 may perform the above method when being powered by an external power source 43 to perform charging control on the battery 41.
Fig. 5 is a schematic diagram of a charging current varying with time in an application example, as shown in fig. 5, the charging control module may preset a first current value I1, a third current value I2, and a preset voltage value (not shown in the figure) for constant voltage charging, the charging control module may detect a voltage value of the battery, and may determine whether the voltage value of the battery meets a preset first charging condition, and if the charging control module determines that the voltage value of the battery meets the first charging condition (for example, the voltage value of the battery is smaller than the third voltage threshold value) at a time T0 (an example of the first time), the charging control module may start constant current charging on the battery with the preset first current value I1 from the time T0. The charging control module may continuously detect the voltage value and the current value of the battery throughout the charging process. The charging control module may determine whether the voltage value of the battery meets a preset second charging condition, and if the charging control module determines that the voltage value of the battery meets the second charging condition (for example, the voltage value of the battery is greater than or equal to a fourth voltage threshold) at time T1 (an example of a second time), the battery may be subjected to constant-current charging in each sub-period from time T1 to time T2 (an example of a third time), and a current value adopted for the constant-current charging of the battery in each sub-period is gradually decreased from I1 to I2 in an order from first to last in each sub-period. The charging control module performs constant current charging on the battery at a third current value I2 from the time T2. The charging control module may determine whether the voltage value of the battery meets a preset third charging condition, and may perform constant voltage charging of the battery at the preset voltage value from time T3 if the charging control module determines that the voltage value of the battery meets the third charging condition (e.g., the voltage value of the battery is greater than or equal to a fifth voltage threshold) at time T3 (an example of a fourth time). If the charging control module detects that the current value of the battery is smaller than the preset current threshold at the time T4, the charging of the battery may be ended at the time T4.
