The following detailed description of embodiments of the invention refers to the accompanying drawings.
An embodiment of the present invention is an electronic device, which is a reading terminal capable of operating and reading an electronic book, and fig. 1 shows a schematic diagram of the reading terminal.
As shown in fig. 1, the reading terminal 100 includes: a processor 101, a communication interface 102, a power component 103, a display 104, an audio component 105, a memory 106, and a key interface 107.
The processor 101 may be a central processing unit CPU or a specific integrated circuit ASIC or an integrated circuit configured to implement an embodiment of the invention. Furthermore, the reading terminal 100 can include multiple processors, which can be of the same type or different types of processors, such as multiple CPUs, multiple ASICs, or a CPU plus an ASIC.
The communication interface 102 is configured as a module for wireless communication between the reading terminal 100 and other devices, including bluetooth 112, WiFi antenna 122, 4G/5G antenna communication 132, and the like. In another embodiment, the communication interface 102 further includes a Near Field Communication (NFC) module to facilitate short-range communications.
The power supply component 103 provides power to the various components of the reading terminal 100. The power supply assembly 103 may include an external power interface 113 and a charging interface circuit 123.
The display 104 is an interactive display interface between the reading terminal 100 and the user, and includes an electromagnetic film 114, a capacitive screen 124, an ink screen 134, and the like.
The electromagnetic film 114 is used for receiving signals of an electromagnetic pen, and is distinguished by magnetic field changes generated by inductors under an electromagnetic pen operating process and a panel, the electromagnetic pen is a signal transmitting end, the electromagnetic film 114 is a signal receiving end, magnetic flux changes when the electromagnetic pen is close to induction, and position points are defined through operation.
The capacitive screen 124 is a touch screen for receiving signals from a user's finger input and includes one or more touch sensors to detect gestures on the touch, slide and touch screen panels. The touch sensor may detect not only the boundary of a touch or slide action, but also the duration and pressure associated with the touch or slide operation.
The electromagnetic film 114 and the capacitive screen 124 are collectively referred to as a touch screen 174.
The ink screen 134 is a display screen using electronic ink, also called electronic paper display technology, and has a main structure including a top transparent electrode layer, an electrophoretic layer, and a bottom electrode pixel layer. The electrophoretic layer is internally provided with a plurality of fine microcapsules, the microcapsules are provided with transparent liquid and a plurality of tiny electrophoretic particles, the electrophoretic particles are distributed in the transparent electrophoretic liquid to form a suspension system, the surfaces of the electrophoretic particles are easy to adsorb electric charges, and the particles capable of inducing the electric charges can move under the action of an external electric field.
Specifically, the electrophoretic particles are classified into negatively charged black particles and positively charged white particles. When a positive voltage is applied to the bottom electrode pixel layer, the white particles are repelled to move toward the top transparent electrode layer, and the black particles are attracted to move toward the bottom electrode pixel layer, in which case the pixel appears white. Conversely, when a negative voltage is applied to the bottom electrode pixel layer, the white particles are attracted to move toward the bottom electrode pixel layer, the black particles are repelled to move toward the top transparent electrode layer, and the pixel is displayed as black.
The display 104 also includes a sensing component 144 configured with a plurality of various sensors for providing various aspects of status assessment for the electronic device. For example: the temperature sensor 154 in the sensing assembly 144 can detect the temperature change of the display 104, and the detected temperature is transmitted to the processor 101 and then to the timing controller 108 as a parameter for table lookup.
The display 104 further includes a front light and light guide plate 164 disposed at a side of the display 104 to provide a stable and uniform light source.
The audio component 105 is configured to output and/or input audio signals. For example, the audio component 105 includes a microphone 118, and when the reading terminal 100 needs to receive speech, such as a call mode, a recording mode, and a speech recognition mode, the microphone 118 is configured to receive external audio signals. The audio module 105 further comprises a speaker 128 for outputting audio signals.
The memory 106 is used for storing programs, electronic books and notes, and may be a high-speed RAM memory or a non-volatile memory (non-volatile memory), such as a disk memory.
The key interface 107 is used for controlling the page turning of the user, and is generally physical keys, which are disposed at the side of the reading terminal 100 and include a front page turning key and a back page turning key.
The timing controller 108 is used for finding out the corresponding control parameter, i.e. the driving waveform, through the lookup table. Since the black and white particles in the ink screen 134 are sensitive to temperature, the lower the temperature, the less active the particles, the longer it takes to move to the same position in the microcapsule at room temperature; the particles move faster when the temperature is higher, and the time required to move to the same location in the microcapsule is relatively shorter compared to the time required at normal temperature. The temperature sensor 154 collects temperature data on the display 104, and the timing controller 108 finds corresponding control parameters according to the temperature data to select an appropriate driving waveform.
The display driver 109 converts the driving waveform into a control signal to drive the ink particles on the ink screen 134 to move, so that image data to be displayed can be imaged on the ink screen 134.
In the embodiment of the scheme, the reading terminal is provided with a plurality of application scenes, and each application scene corresponds to at least one common function key. The ink screen 134 displays the shortcut keys on the page of the reading terminal 100. When the user presses the shortcut key, the touch screen 174 receives an instruction from the user to start the shortcut key and transmits the instruction to the processor 101, and the processor 101 detects a current scene displayed on the page, where the current scene is one of a plurality of application scenes. The processor 101 links the shortcut key with a current function key corresponding to the current scene, where the current function key is at least one of the frequently used function keys. For example: when the current scene is a note editing page, the corresponding current function keys are copying, pasting, adding, deleting and the like. The processor 101 responds to the instruction for activating the shortcut key, and triggers and links the current function key, and indirectly drives the ink screen 134 to display the current function key through the timing controller 108 and the display driver 109.
Fig. 2(a) to (e) are diagrams showing the setting of the shortcut keys of the reading page 200 according to the embodiment of the present invention. The embodiment can hide the shortcut key when the shortcut key is not used so as not to affect the reading of the user. Fig. 2(a) is a page showing a general reading, and the ink screen 124 does not display a shortcut key. When the user wants to activate the shortcut key, the user may click a predetermined position of the reading terminal 100 to trigger, for example, the predetermined position may be a blank of a page, in this embodiment, the position set by the reading terminal is a lower right corner of the page, i.e., the first position 201. When the user clicks the first position 201 in a specific manner, the touch screen 174 detects a touch command from the user and transmits the touch command to the processor 101, and the processor 101 indirectly drives the ink screen 124 to display the shortcut key 202 shown in fig. 2(b) via the timing controller 108 and the display driver 109 in response to the touch command triggered at the first position 201 of the page. The shortcut key of this embodiment is a floating ball.
In the embodiment, the specific manner is that the user touches the touch screen 174 at the first position 201 for a plurality of times (e.g., 2 times) within a specific time (e.g., within 1 second), the touch screen 174 detects a touch signal of the specific operation and transmits the touch signal to the processor 101, and the processor 101 determines that the signal is a signal for displaying the floating ball 202, so the ink screen 124 is indirectly driven to display the floating ball 202 through the timing controller 108 and the display driver 109. The location where the hover ball 202 is displayed on the page is the second location. In this embodiment, the current scene is reading, the ink screen 134 displays the reading page of the e-book, and the corresponding current function key returns to the initial page after the reading terminal is turned on, and in more detail, when the user clicks the hover ball 202, the processor 101 drives the ink screen 124 to jump directly to display the first page of the reading terminal 100.
When the user wants to hide the floating ball 202, the user clicks the touch screen 174 in a specific manner, which may be that the user clicks the floating ball 202 multiple times within a specific time, that is, clicks the second position multiple times within a specific time, for example, the floating ball is clicked 2 times within 1 second, the touch screen 174 receives a signal triggering the hidden floating ball 202 at the second position, the processor 101 responds to the touch command, indirectly drives the ink screen 124 to hide the floating ball 202 through the timing controller 108 and the display driver 109, and returns to the display page of fig. 2(a), and the processor 101 simultaneously turns off the shortcut key function.
In addition to directly clicking on the hover ball 202 to hide the shortcut keys, in another scenario, this embodiment may also provide other ways to hide the shortcut keys. As shown in fig. 2(c), the second position 211 for triggering the hidden shortcut key may be the same position as the first position 201 in fig. 2(a), when the user clicks the second position 211, the touch screen 174 receives the touch signal, and the processor 101 drives the ink screen 124 to cancel displaying the floating ball 202 in response to the hidden signal triggered by the second position 211.
This embodiment may further provide other ways to display and hide the shortcut keys. As shown in fig. 2(d), the first position includes a first sub-position 203 and a second sub-position 204. When the user wants to open the floating ball 202, the user clicks the first sub-position 203 and the second sub-position 204 with two fingers at the same time, the touch screen 174 receives the touch instruction and transmits the touch instruction to the processor 101, and the processor 101 drives the ink screen 124 to display the floating ball 202 in response to the touch instruction at the first sub-position 203 and the second sub-position 204 of the page. When the user wants to hide the floating ball 202, as shown in fig. 2(e), the second position includes a first sub-position 205 and a second sub-position 206, the second position is located at the same position on the page as the first position, and the processor 101 drives the ink screen 124 to hide the floating ball 202 by simultaneously clicking the first sub-position 205 and the second sub-position 206 with two fingers. Clicking 2 preset positions at the same time is less prone to false touch.
The aforementioned first position and the second position may be set by the reading terminal or the user, but are preferably at the blank of the page, and optionally or alternatively, the first position or the second position is at the edge of the page, and the first position and the second position may be different positions or the same position, but are preferably not located on other function keys or control keys, so as to avoid that the processor 101 cannot distinguish the touch signal from the first position or the second position or the other function keys or control keys.
Fig. 3(a) to (d) are schematic views showing a reading page 300 according to another embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 3(a), the shortcut key of this embodiment is the floating ball 301, and the operation manner of controlling the floating ball 301 to be invisible is the same as that of the previous embodiment. In contrast, the processor 101 may select an appropriate shortcut key according to the application scenario. Assuming that the current scene is a note editing, the corresponding current function key does not return to the first page, but the editing note is a commonly used function key. In more detail, when the user clicks on the hover ball 301 to initiate its function, the ink screen 134 displays the current function keys corresponding to the current scene, which are arranged in a circle around the hover ball. As shown in fig. 3(b), the ring shape includes a visible area 311 and a non-visible area 312, the visible area 311 is superimposed on the page, and includes 5 function keys, such as A, B, C, G and H. Accordingly, the non-visible area 312 is located outside the reading page 300 and includes 3 function keys, D, E and F. Processor 101 maps the layer comprising the partial ring shape onto the page, which is displayed as viewable area 311 by ink screen 134. Alternatively, the number of the current function keys is not limited to only 6, and the number of the function keys of the hover ball may be set in the function menu according to the preference of the user.
When the user wants to view or click the function keys in the non-visible area 312, the user presses the ring of the visible area 311, the finger or the stylus slides along the ring, the touch screen receives a signal that the user rotates along the ring, and the processor 101 drives the ink screen 134 to move the function keys in the non-visible area 312 into the visible area 311 along the ring. The rotation direction may be clockwise or counterclockwise as shown in fig. 3(b), which is not limited herein. For example, when the user rotates in a clockwise direction along the ring, the processor 101 responds to the rotation signal to drive the ink screen 134 to display that the current function keys in the visible area 311 are changed from 5 function keys, such as A, B, C, G and H, to 5 function keys, such as A, E, F, G and H, as shown in fig. 3 (c). Accordingly, the aforementioned non-visible area 312 becomes B, C and 3 function keys D.
Further, the user may also continuously press the floating ball 301 and drag the floating ball horizontally to the left, as shown in fig. 3(d), the touch screen 174 receives the movement instruction, and the processor 101 drives the ink screen 134 to display the floating ball 301 and move the current function key to the left in response to the movement signal, so that the range of the visible area is wider and wider until all the function keys are moved to be located in the visible area, that is, all 8 function keys such as A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are visible. Conversely, the user can also continuously press the floating ball to move to the right, so that the visual area becomes smaller and smaller.
The common function keys collocated for each application scene are preset, a user can set in the setting function table, the touch screen 174 receives an instruction of the user for setting the function list, and the processor 101 establishes the relation table of the common function keys corresponding to each application scene according to the function list. Specifically, the user may preset a plurality of commonly used application scenarios and the shortcut keys and function keys corresponding to the application scenarios, and when the application scenario changes, the processor 101 responds to the change of the application scenario, and indirectly drives the ink screen 134 to display the corresponding current shortcut key through the timing controller 108 and the display driver 109. For example: if the current scene is a note mode, the current function keys are copying, pasting, newly building a page of note, converting the handwriting note into characters and the like; when the current scene is changed into a reading mode, the current function key is changed into global page turning, function switching, bookmark adding, full text searching, dictionary and the like; when the current scene is changed into the third-party application program, the current function keys are also changed into refresh frequency, refresh mode, switching function, screenshot, closing the third-party application program and the like.
The common function keys corresponding to each application scenario may be different, or may be partially the same and partially different. For example: the common function keys for reading scenes are at least one of global page turning, function switching, bookmark adding, full text searching, dictionary and the like; the common function keys of the note scene are at least one of functions of adding, modifying, deleting, full text searching, dictionary and the like, and the two modes are both provided with the common function keys of the full text searching and the dictionary. The user can adjust the preset common function keys according to the needs of the user.
In another implementation scenario, the processor 101 counts habits of the user in operating the application scenario, and establishes a corresponding relationship between the application scenario and the commonly used function keys according to the habits of the user. For example, when the user opens a specific application scenario, the user uses a certain function key for multiple times, and after the processor 101 detects the usage habit of the user, that is, the default is that in the application scenario, the function key is set as a commonly used function key. Optionally, the user may set the relationship between the application scenario and the commonly used function key by himself or herself when using the application for the first time.
Fig. 4 is a flowchart illustrating a shortcut key setting method 400 of a reading terminal according to another embodiment of the present invention.
In step 401, a shortcut key is displayed on a page of the reading terminal. As disclosed in the foregoing embodiments, the shortcut key may be a hover ball, and the reading terminal receives a signal of continuously pressing a blank of the page within a specific time to display the hover ball. When a user wants to start a shortcut key, the user can click a preset position of the reading terminal to trigger, for example, the position set by the reading terminal is the lower right corner of the page. Still alternatively, the user clicks 2 predetermined positions simultaneously with two fingers to start displaying the hover ball.
In step 402, a current scene of the page display is detected, wherein the current scene is one of the application scenes. In this embodiment, the application scenario may include a note mode, a reading mode, a third party application, and the like. The reading terminal identifies which one of the application scenes the current scene is.
In step 403, linking the shortcut key with a current function key corresponding to the current scene, where the current function key is at least one of the frequently used function keys. The method 400 may display at least one of the current function keys on the page. If the current scene is the note mode, the current function key includes: at least one of copying, pasting, newly creating a page of note, recognizing a handwritten note and converting characters, if the application scene is a reading mode, the current function keys comprise: global page turning, function switching, bookmark adding, full text searching and dictionary; if the application scenario is a third-party application, the current function key includes: at least one of refresh frequency, refresh mode, switching function, screenshot and closing the third-party application program.
In step 404, an instruction of a user to start the shortcut key is received. For example, when a user clicks on the hover ball to initiate its function, the responsive current function keys are arranged in a circle around the hover ball, the circle including a visible region and a non-visible region, the visible region being superimposed on the page and including several current function keys. Correspondingly, the non-visible area is located outside the reading page and also comprises a plurality of current function keys.
When the user wants to check or click the function key of the non-visual area, the user presses the ring shape of the visual area, the finger or the stylus pen slides along the ring shape, the current function key in the non-visual area is moved into the visual area along the ring shape, and meanwhile, the current function key in the visual area is moved into the non-visual area along the ring shape, so that the user can conveniently select and click a specific current function key.
