5. The suspension system of claim 4 wherein said attachment bracket further includes two side plates disposed on opposite sides of said base plate, said base plate being attached to an end of said mounting beam, said two side plates being spaced apart from said mounting beam.
6. The suspension system according to any one of claims 1 to 5, further comprising a bump stop assembly provided on the mounting cross member, and a bump stop assembly provided on the frame, the bump stop assembly being provided in correspondence with the bump stop assembly.

The suspension system of claim 6 wherein the retainer assembly includes first and second retainer seats spaced apart on the mounting beam, and the bump stop assembly includes a first bump stop disposed in correspondence with the first retainer seat and a second bump stop disposed in correspondence with the second retainer seat, the free end of the second bump stop being located above the free end of the first bump stop.

The suspension system of claim 7, further comprising a mounting bracket for attachment to the vehicle frame, the mounting bracket including a first mounting plate, and second and third mounting plates disposed on opposite sides of the first mounting plate, the second mounting plate being positioned above the third mounting plate, the first bumper being disposed on the second mounting plate, the second bumper being disposed on the third mounting plate.
9. The suspension system of claim 7 wherein said first bumper is a polyurethane bumper and said second bumper is a rubber bumper.
10. A vehicle characterized in that it comprises a suspension system according to any one of claims 1 to 9.
