Abstract
The invention provides a display module and an electronic device, wherein the display module comprises: wherein the display module assembly has first side and second side, and it includes: the backlight module comprises a light source, and the light source is positioned at the first side of the display module; the liquid crystal display panel is arranged on the backlight module and comprises a first peripheral part and a second peripheral part; wherein the first peripheral portion corresponds to a position of the first side; the second peripheral portion corresponds in position to the second side; and the shading colloid at least coats the second peripheral part. The display module and the electronic device can avoid light leakage at the side edge of the display panel, thereby improving the display effect.

The present invention relates to the field of display technologies, and in particular, to a display module and an electronic device.

As shown in fig. 1, the conventional display module includes a backlight module 10, a liquid crystal display panel 20 and a housing 30, wherein the liquid crystal display panel 20 is attached to the backlight module 10 through a glue 11, the backlight module 10 includes a light source 12, and the light source 12 is located at one side of the backlight module 10. As shown in fig. 2, in a top view, the glue body 11 is located at a periphery of an upper surface of the backlight module 10. The liquid crystal display panel 20 and the backlight module 10 are located in the housing 30.
However, after the lcd panel and the backlight module are assembled, the backlight source is easily leaked from the side of the lcd panel, thereby causing light leakage and reducing the display effect.
Therefore, it is desirable to provide a display module and an electronic device to solve the problems of the prior art.

The invention aims to provide a display module and an electronic device, which can avoid light leakage at the side edge of a liquid crystal display panel, and further improve the display effect.
In order to solve the above technical problem, the present invention provides a display module, wherein the display module has a first side and a second side, and comprises:
the backlight module comprises a light source, and the light source is positioned at the first side of the display module;
the liquid crystal display panel is arranged on the backlight module and comprises a first peripheral part and a second peripheral part; wherein the first peripheral portion corresponds to a position of the first side; the second peripheral portion corresponds in position to the second side;
and the shading colloid at least coats the second peripheral part.
The invention also provides an electronic device which comprises the display module.
The invention discloses a display module and an electronic device, comprising a backlight module, a light source and a display module, wherein the backlight module comprises a light source which is positioned at a first side of the display module; the liquid crystal display panel is arranged on the backlight module and comprises a first peripheral part and a second peripheral part; wherein the first peripheral portion corresponds to a position of the first side; the second peripheral portion corresponds in position to the second side; a light-shielding colloid at least covering the second peripheral part; because the periphery of the liquid crystal display panel is coated with the shading colloid, the light source emitted by the backlight module can be completely shaded in the display module, so that the light source cannot leak from the edge of the liquid crystal display panel, and the display effect is improved.

The following description of the embodiments refers to the accompanying drawings for illustrating the specific embodiments in which the invention may be practiced. In the present invention, directional terms such as "up", "down", "front", "back", "left", "right", "inner", "outer", "side", etc. refer to directions of the attached drawings. Accordingly, the directional terms used are used for explanation and understanding of the present invention, and are not used for limiting the present invention. In the drawings, elements having similar structures are denoted by the same reference numerals.
Referring to fig. 3 and 4, fig. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a display module according to an embodiment of the invention.
As shown in fig. 3, the display module 100 of the present embodiment includes a backlight module 10, a liquid crystal display panel 20 and a first light shielding adhesive 41, and in combination with fig. 4, the display module has a first side 101 and a second side 102. In one embodiment, the first side includes, for example, a rear side and left and right sides, and the second side 102 is, for example, a front side.
The backlight module 10 comprises a light source 12, the light source 12 is located at a first side 101 of the backlight module 10; for example, in an embodiment, the light source 12 is located at a lower side of the backlight module 10, and it is understood that a first side of the backlight module 10 is respectively aligned with a first side of the display module 100 and a first side of the liquid crystal display panel 20, and a second side of the backlight module 10 is respectively aligned with a second side of the display module 100 and a second side of the liquid crystal display panel 20. In one embodiment, the light source 12 is an organic light emitting diode light bar, although the specific structure of the light source is not limited. In one embodiment, the backlight module 10 may further include a reflective sheet 15, a light guide plate 16, an optical film 17, and a shielding member 18; the light guide plate 16 and the optical film 17 are sequentially provided on the reflective sheet 15. The reflective sheet 15, the light guide plate 16 and the optical film 17 are located in the shielding member 18, and the top of the shielding member 18 is attached to the bottom of the liquid crystal display panel 20.
The liquid crystal display panel 20 is disposed on the backlight module 10 and includes a first peripheral portion and a second peripheral portion; wherein the first peripheral portion corresponds to the position of the first side 101; the second peripheral portion corresponds in position to the second side. In one embodiment, the liquid crystal display panel includes a first polarizer 21, a body portion 22, and a first polarizer 23. Wherein the body part 22 may include first and second substrates and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first and second substrates. In one embodiment, the first substrate may be an array substrate, and the second substrate may be a color filter substrate.
The light-shielding colloid 40 at least covers the second peripheral part. For example, in one embodiment, the light-shielding resin 40 covers at least the left and right peripheral edges and the rear peripheral edge of the liquid crystal display panel 20. In another embodiment, the light-shielding sealant 40 covers the left and right peripheral edges and the front and rear peripheral edges of the liquid crystal display panel 20. In one embodiment, the inner surface (the surface close to the liquid crystal display panel 20) of the light-shielding colloid 40 may be provided with a reflective layer (not shown).
In one embodiment, in order to simplify the manufacturing process, the light-shielding glue 40 is further used for attaching the liquid crystal display panel 20 and the backlight module 10.
In order to improve the utilization rate of the light source, referring to fig. 4, the light-shielding glue 40 includes a first light-shielding glue 41 and a second light-shielding glue 42.
The first light shielding glue 41 covers the second peripheral portion of the liquid crystal display panel 20, and the top of the second side 102 of the backlight module 10 is attached to the bottom of the second side of the liquid crystal display panel 20 through the first light shielding glue 41. For example, in one embodiment, the first light shielding adhesive 41 covers the left and right peripheral edges and the rear peripheral edge of the liquid crystal display panel.
The top of the first side of the backlight module 10 is attached to the bottom of the first side of the liquid crystal display panel through the second light shielding glue 42.
In one embodiment, in order to further prevent light leakage and better prevent light leakage from the side of the liquid crystal display panel, the width W1 of the first light shielding glue 41 is greater than the width W2 of the second light shielding glue 42.
In one embodiment, to further avoid the light shielding phenomenon, the first light shielding glue 41 includes a first sub-portion 411, a second sub-portion 412 and a third sub-portion 413, wherein the first sub-portion 411 is located between the backlight module 10 and the display panel 20; the second sub-portion 412 covers the second peripheral portion, and the third sub-portion 413 is disposed on the liquid crystal display panel 20. The first light shielding glue 41 is partially located between the liquid crystal display panel 20 and the backlight module 10, the other part covers the sidewall (periphery) of the liquid crystal display panel 20, and the rest part is located on the liquid crystal display panel 20. Of course, in other embodiments, the first light shielding glue 41 may not include the third sub-portion 413.
In one embodiment, a setting surface of the second sub-portion 412 and a setting surface of the third sub-portion 413 are sticky, and the setting surfaces are surfaces close to the liquid crystal display panel 20, that is, the setting surfaces are inner surfaces.
In one embodiment, to simplify the manufacturing process, the first sub-portion 411 has a first surface and a second surface, and both the first surface and the second surface have adhesive properties. The first and second surfaces are, for example, upper and lower surfaces.
In one embodiment, the shield 18 includes a first piece 181 and a second piece 182, one end of the first piece 181 being attached to one end of the second piece 182, the first piece 181 being perpendicular to the second piece 182.
The display module 100 may further include a housing 30, wherein the housing 30 is used for accommodating the liquid crystal display panel 20 and the backlight module 10, and the other end of the first workpiece 181 is fixed on the housing 30.
Referring to fig. 5, fig. 5 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a display module according to another embodiment of the invention.
As shown in fig. 5, the display module of the present embodiment is different from the previous embodiment in that the light-shielding colloid 40 of the present embodiment is disposed outside the housing 30, and in one embodiment, the light-shielding colloid 40 covers the peripheral portion of the housing 30, for example, the light-shielding colloid 40 covers the left and right side walls and the front and rear side walls of the housing 30.
Because the second peripheral part of the liquid crystal display panel is coated with the shading colloid, the light source emitted by the backlight module can be completely shaded in the display module, so that the light source cannot leak from the edge of the liquid crystal display panel, and the display effect is improved. In addition, the invention adopts the shading glue as the shading material, thereby reducing the processing procedures and further reducing the production cost.
The invention also provides an electronic device which comprises any one of the display modules. The electronic device can be a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a computer and other equipment.
The invention discloses a display module and an electronic device, comprising a backlight module, a light source and a display module, wherein the backlight module comprises a light source which is positioned at a first side of the display module; the liquid crystal display panel is arranged on the backlight module and comprises a first peripheral part and a second peripheral part; wherein the first peripheral portion corresponds to a position of the first side; the second peripheral portion corresponds in position to the second side; a light-shielding colloid at least covering the second peripheral part; because the periphery of the liquid crystal display panel is coated with the shading colloid, the light source emitted by the backlight module can be completely shaded in the display module, so that the light source cannot leak from the edge of the liquid crystal display panel, and the display effect is improved.
In summary, although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiments, the above-described preferred embodiments are not intended to limit the present invention, and those skilled in the art can make various changes and modifications without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention, therefore, the scope of the present invention shall be determined by the appended claims.

and the shading colloid is used for attaching the liquid crystal display panel and the backlight module.

the shading colloid comprises: first light-shielding glue and second light-shielding glue;
the top of the second side of the backlight module is attached to the bottom of the second side of the liquid crystal display panel through the first shading glue;
the top of the first side of the backlight module is attached to the bottom of the first side of the liquid crystal display panel through the second light shading glue.
4. The display module of claim 3,
the width of the first shading glue is larger than that of the second shading glue.
5. The display module of claim 3,
the first light shading glue comprises a first sub-part and a second sub-part, and the first sub-part is positioned between the backlight module and the liquid crystal display panel; the second sub-portion covers the second peripheral portion.
6. The display module of claim 5,
the first light shielding glue further comprises a third sub-portion, and the third sub-portion is arranged on the liquid crystal display panel.
7. The display module of claim 5,
the setting surface of the second sub-section and the setting surface of the third sub-section have viscosity, and the setting surfaces are surfaces close to one side of the liquid crystal display panel.
8. The display module of claim 1,
the shading colloid also coats the periphery.
