Disclosure of Invention
[ technical problem to be solved by the invention ]
In recent years, the dual-bearing reel has been increasingly made compact (downsized). In a compact dual-bearing reel, when the index finger of the hand to be gripped is extended from the lower side of the reel unit to the handle side as in the conventional art, the index finger of the hand to be gripped tends to be excessively extended, and the gripping tends to become unstable. Further, in the conventional dual-bearing reel, the reel unit cannot be supported against a force of pulling the reel unit forward when the reel unit is held, and therefore, a large load is imposed on the fishing rod attachment portion of the reel unit attached to the fishing rod.
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a dual-bearing reel that can support a reel unit against a force that pulls the reel unit forward.
[ technical means for solving problems ]
The dual-bearing reel according to one aspect of the present invention is capable of releasing a fishing line in a forward direction, and includes a reel unit and a handle. The fishing line reel main body is provided with a 1 st side plate; a 2 nd side plate disposed at a distance from the 1 st side plate in the left-right direction; a fishing rod mounting part arranged between the 1 st side plate and the 2 nd side plate; and a front cover covering between the 1 st side plate and the 2 nd side plate from the front. The center of the tip of the front cover in the left-right direction is located closer to the 1 st side plate than the center of the fishing rod attachment section in the left-right direction.
In the dual-bearing reel, the center of the tip end portion of the front cover in the left-right direction is positioned closer to the 1 st side plate side than the center of the fishing rod attachment portion in the left-right direction. That is, the center of the tip end portion of the front cover in the left-right direction is offset to the handle side from the center of the fishing rod attachment portion in the left-right direction. Therefore, for example, when the index finger of the hand to be wrapped is brought into contact with the front cover to be wrapped, the vicinity of the 1 st joint of the index finger of the hand to be wrapped can be hooked to the distal end portion of the front cover. Accordingly, the reel unit can be effectively and reliably supported against a force that pulls the reel unit forward when the reel unit is held. Further, when the fishing rod is held, the index finger of the hand can be prevented from being excessively extended, and therefore the reel unit can be reliably held together with the fishing rod.
Preferably, the reel unit further includes a thumb rest (thumb rest) disposed so as to cover at least a part of the front cover from above. The thumb rest has a finger rest portion for placing a thumb of a hand holding the reel unit from the 2 nd side plate side. The finger placing part is provided corresponding to the top end part of the front cover. In this case, the reel unit can be held together with the fishing rod more firmly when the thumb of the hand is placed on the finger placing portion.
Preferably, the finger release portion is disposed at a position closer to the 1 st side plate side than the center of the rod attachment portion in the left-right direction, and in this case, the finger release portion is disposed at a position closer to the center of the distal end portion of the front cover, so that the grip of the reel unit is improved when the reel unit is gripped.
Preferably, the finger placing part has a shape recessed from an upper direction toward the front cover. In this case, the reel unit can be held in a stable state by the index finger and the thumb of the hand.
Preferably, the reel unit further includes a 2 nd side cover covering a side of the 2 nd side plate. The front cover has a 1 st bending part and a 2 nd bending part, wherein, the 1 st bending part extends from the front end part to the 1 st side plate in an arc shape; the 2 nd bent portion extends from the tip end portion toward the 2 nd side plate while being curved in an arc shape, and is smoothly connected to the 2 nd side cover. In this case, the grip of the reel unit when the index finger of the hand to be gripped is brought into contact with the front cover to grip the reel unit is improved.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a dual-bearing reel that can support a reel unit against a force that pulls the reel unit forward when the reel unit is held.

Fig. 5 is a diagram illustrating positions of the thumb and the index finger when the bag is held. In the present embodiment, since the handle 4 is provided on the 1 st side plate 6a side (right side), the handle 4 is gripped by the left hand.
In the dual-bearing reel having the above-described structure, as shown in fig. 5, the index finger of the hand to be held can be brought into contact with the front surface of the front cover 9. As described above, the center C1 of the distal end portion 9a of the front cover 9 in the left-right direction of the dual-bearing reel 100 is offset toward the handle 4 side from the center C2 of the fishing rod attachment portion 6d in the left-right direction. Therefore, as shown in fig. 5, when the index finger of the hand to be wrapped is brought into contact with the front surface of the front cover 9 to be wrapped, the vicinity of the 1 st joint of the index finger of the hand to be wrapped can be hooked on the distal end portion 9a of the front cover 9. Accordingly, the reel unit 2 can be effectively and reliably supported against a force that pulls the reel unit 2 forward. Further, since the forefinger of the hand being held can be prevented from being excessively extended, the reel unit 2 and the fishing rod 20 can be reliably held together.
The dual-bearing reel 100 is provided so that the finger-placing portion 10d corresponds to the distal end portion 9a of the front cover 9. Specifically, the finger placing part 10d is offset to the 1 st side plate 6a side from the center C2 of the rod attachment part 6d in the left-right direction. Therefore, when the thumb of the hand is placed on the finger placing portion 10d, the reel unit 2 and the fishing rod 20 can be held together in a more firm and stable state. Further, since the 2 nd curved portion 9c of the front cover 9 and the 2 nd side cover 8 are smoothly connected, the index finger of the hand to be held can be easily brought into contact with the front cover 9 and the 2 nd side cover 8, and the grip of the reel unit 2 can be improved.
