The invention provides a checkout method and a checkout system, which are suitable for checkout operation in a store. By the checkout method and the checkout system, the checkout speed and the checkout efficiency of commodities in a store are improved, the convenience of customers is improved, and the problems of self-service checkout loss, inaccurate take-out inventory information, untimely message notification and the like are effectively avoided. The checkout method and the checkout system are further described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 illustrates a schematic diagram of an interactive system 100 for a store in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. As shown, the store's interaction system 100 includes: server 101, cashier device 102, clerk 103, order device 104, and customer 105. The ordering device 104 has physical keys or a graphical user interface, and can be operated by the store clerk 103 or by the customer 105 to select the commodity specified by the customer 105. Or alternatively, the customer 105 may use an APP or applet installed on his own electronic device (e.g., cell phone, PDA, etc.) to select the specified merchandise. The cashier device 102 includes, for example, a computer and a scanner device for performing settlement and collection operations after the customer 105 completes shopping. The server 101 is, for example, a server in the background of a store, and can record commodity information of the store and transactions generated by the store. The server 101 may be a server for a single store or may be a server shared among a plurality of stores.
Those skilled in the art will readily appreciate that the interactive system 100 shown in fig. 1 is a relatively complete topology and is merely introduced for convenience in describing the checkout method of the present invention and is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
FIG. 2 illustrates a flow chart of a checkout method 200 according to one embodiment of the invention. The checkout method 200 may be used to checkout one or more items in a store. The checkout method will be described in detail below in conjunction with fig. 1 and 2. As shown, the steps of the checkout method 200 include:
in step S201: a selection input of one or more items is received.
The commodity is preferably a commodity without a settlement code, such as a commodity of a Guandong cook, staple food, hot meal, or the like. In the present invention, the settlement code is, for example, a bar code or a two-dimensional code for settlement, and information such as the price of the commodity can be obtained by scanning the settlement code. The invention is not limited thereto and can also be used for settlement with settlement codes. The merchandise may be selected by interaction with the order device, and/or interaction with the user device. The pointing device or the user device may be an interactive device with physical buttons or an interactive device with a touch screen, and a graphical user interface with virtual controls thereon. The following description will take an example of selecting food items through interactive operation of the menu device 104 shown in fig. 1. As shown in fig. 1, a customer 105 selects foods and meals in front of the respective counter, and a clerk 103 selects the corresponding items and quantities of goods on a ordering device 104 according to the customer's selection. FIG. 3 illustrates a schematic diagram of a touch screen ordering operator interface in accordance with one embodiment of the invention.
Additionally or alternatively, the customer 105 may also use the point-of-sale device 104 to make a selection of merchandise, or may use the customer's own cell phone or other electronic product to make a selection of merchandise within the store's APP or applet. The basic procedure is as described above and will not be described in detail here.
When selecting commodities, besides selecting through entity keys or a graphic user interface, the commodities can be selected through a voice recognition mode, namely, voice signals are generated through dictating information such as commodity names, quantity and the like, and after recognition, the voice signals are input according to the selected commodities, so that ordering is performed. Preferably, the clerk 103 wears a headset microphone and issues an order [ start order ] or enters a voice order mode by clicking a microphone button of the touch screen, and performs voice order according to the requirement of the customer 105, for example, the order term is: number of goods (several) +name of goods or abbreviation. The device for selecting the commodity by voice recognition comprises: a headset microphone or a talking earphone for voice ordering; and the voice processing device is used for analyzing the voice signal and acquiring commodity information and quantity information in the voice signal, and the acquired commodity information and quantity are sent to the ordering device 104 so as to select commodities. The device used to select the merchandise by voice recognition may also be integrated into the order device 104. The voice-recognized merchandise information and quantity may be presented on the screen of the ordering device 104 for confirmation by the store clerk 103 or the user 105. When the voice recognition fails, a corresponding prompt is presented on the ordering device 104 for re-recognition or manual addition of the unrecognized dish until all dishes are correctly recognized.
In addition, the commodity can be selected by means of image acquisition and image analysis, for example, an image signal of the commodity can be acquired, and the commodity and the quantity thereof are obtained by means of image recognition according to the image signal. For example, for some staple foods (such as rice, steamed bread, steamed stuffed bun, corn, sweet potato, etc.), hot dishes (such as fried dish, fried string, leg sausage, etc.), and other commodities, the types (and optional amounts) of commodities selected by customers can be accurately and quickly identified by means of image acquisition and analysis. To perform image acquisition and analysis, the pointing device 104 may include a camera and an image analysis unit. For example, in a store, the store clerk 103 takes a selected dish according to the needs of a customer, places the dish in a cutlery box, places the cutlery box under a camera, stands for a few seconds, faces the dish upwards and is opposite to the camera, the camera collects images of the dish in the cutlery box, and a background image analysis unit divides and identifies the images, for example, which food is included in the cutlery box. In this embodiment, a conventional camera may be used to perform image capturing, and the image analysis unit may be implemented by integrating an existing image recognition algorithm into the ordering device 104, for example, different dishes have different preset features, and by matching the features, it is determined what type of dishes are included in the cutlery box. When the image recognition is completed, the recognized information may be presented on the screen of the ordering device 104 for confirmation by the store clerk 103 or the user 105. When the image identification fails, a corresponding prompt is presented on the ordering device 104 for re-identifying or manually adding the unidentified dishes until all dishes are correctly identified.
The above description has been made taking the example that the commodity does not have a settlement code, and it will be readily understood by those skilled in the art that the present invention is not limited thereto, and the settlement method of the present invention is equally applicable to the settlement operation of the commodity having a settlement code.
In step S202: and acquiring commodity information of the one or more commodities. The commodity information includes, but is not limited to, one or more of the name (full or short), number, price (unit price or total price), batch, quantity, discount information of the commodity.
In addition, it will be readily understood by those skilled in the art that the order of step S201 and step S202 is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention, and the two may be performed sequentially or simultaneously. For example, in the process of receiving the commodity selection input in step S201, some of the commodity information, such as the name, number, and the like of the commodity, may be acquired in synchronization. While for some other merchandise information, the ordering device 104 may query the database of the server 101 (or the database of the ordering device 104) by using the name or number of the merchandise as a key to obtain the merchandise information.
In step S203: an order corresponding to the one or more items is formed, the order having an order number.
When customer 105 selects to complete, ordering device 104 forms an order and generates an order number for the order. The order encompasses a collection of items selected by the customer 105. The order number is preferably unique and may uniquely characterize the order. In addition, in addition to the order number being generated by the ordering device 104, the order number may also be generated by the server 101 and assigned to the ordering device 104 to ensure that the order number is unique to the store.
Additionally or alternatively, the customer 105 may also use the ordering device 104 to make a selection of items, or may use the customer's own user device (e.g., a cell phone or other electronic product) to make a selection of items within the store's APP or applet, which, upon completion of the selection, generates an order with a unique order number. The basic procedure is as described above and will not be described in detail here.
In step S204: generating a set code, wherein the order number and/or commodity information are encoded in the set code. After the customer finishes selecting the commodity and obtains the commodity information, a set code can be generated, and the set code can be in a bar code or two-dimensional code mode, wherein the order number or commodity information can be encoded, and the order number and commodity information can be encoded at the same time. As shown in fig. 3, after ordering on the order device 104 is completed, the "print statement" button may be clicked, and the aggregate code may then be printed out by a printer in communication with the order device 104. Additionally or alternatively, the aggregate code may be displayed on a user device (e.g., a cell phone) for use by the customer in final checkout.
The checkout method 200 according to one embodiment of the invention is described above. By the checkout method 200, a user may integrate charging information for one or more items into a collective code, which may be advantageous for the settlement of code-less items without a settlement code. For example, in a cooked food area, a customer requires a clerk to select a plurality of dishes, such as a Guandong cook, a staple food, a stir-fry dish and the like, the clerk inputs the selection of the customer through the point list device 104 while taking the dishes for the customer, the customer finishes the point meal, the clerk generates and prints a set code through the point list device 104 to deliver the set code to the customer, and then at a cash register of a store, the cashier device 102 can acquire the information of the plurality of dishes selected by the customer at one time through the set code without acquiring the information of each dish, so that a large amount of time can be saved, and the efficiency of the store and the experience of the customer are greatly improved.
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the order number is encoded in the aggregate code, or more preferably, the order number is encoded in the aggregate code without encoding the merchandise information. In this case, the checkout method includes:
Step S205: the order number and the commodity information are transmitted to the server 101. After receiving the commodity selection and acquiring the commodity information, the ordering device 104 or the user device may send the order number and the commodity information to the server 101, and all the commodity information of the order may be queried through each order number, where the order number and the commodity information are stored in the server 101 for querying and retrieving the order.
Step S206: the cashier device 102 scans the set code and decodes to obtain the order number. The cashier device 102, for example, includes a scanning gun or scanner, which can scan and decode the aggregate code to obtain the order number therein.
Step S207: the cashier device 102 retrieves and receives commodity information of the order from the server 101 according to the order number. Further, the commodity information is displayed on the screen of the cashier device 102 for inspection, verification, or modification by the store clerk 103 and/or the customer 105.
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, when the aggregate code is encoded with the order number, the checkout method further includes:
the order number and the commodity information are sent to the cashier terminal equipment by the order ordering equipment or the user equipment;
The cashier terminal equipment scans the set codes and decodes the set codes to obtain the order numbers; and
and the cashier terminal equipment retrieves the order number and acquires commodity information of the commodity of the order. In this embodiment, after the customer orders, the cashing end device receives and stores the order number and the commodity information in time, and when the customer checks out, the collection code is scanned and the order number is obtained, so that the commodity information is obtained according to the order number for use in checking out.
According to another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the commodity information is encoded in the set code, or more preferably, the commodity information is encoded in the set code while the order number is not encoded. In this case, the checkout method includes: in step S208, the cashier terminal device 102 scans the set code and decodes the set code to obtain the commodity information, and then the commodity information may be displayed on the screen of the cashier terminal device 102 for inspection and verification by the store clerk 103 and/or the customer 105, and then the commodity total price may be calculated.
According to another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the aggregate code is encoded with both the order number and the merchandise information. In this case, the checkout method includes:
Step S209: the order number and commodity information are transmitted to the server 101. After receiving the commodity selection and acquiring the commodity information, the ordering device 104 or the user device sends the order number and the commodity information to the server 101 for background storage and inquiry.
Step S210: the cashier terminal device 102 scans the set codes and decodes the set codes to obtain the order numbers and commodity information.
Step S211: commodity information of the order is retrieved and received from the server 101 according to the order number.
Step S212: the commodity information obtained by scanning the set code is compared with the commodity information received from the server 101 for verification. The process of comparing and verifying can be automatically completed by the cashier terminal device 102, and if the verification information is correct, the commodity information is further output to a display screen of the cashier terminal device 102, for example, and the total commodity price can be calculated; if the verification information is incorrect, the commodity information obtained by scanning the set code and the commodity information received from the server 101 are re-checked, and if necessary, the store clerk 103 manually compares the commodity information with the commodity information purchased by the customer 105 to check whether the commodity information is identical with the commodity information purchased by the customer.
Alternatively, when the aggregate code is encoded with the order number and the commodity information at the same time, the checkout method further includes: the cashier terminal device 102 scans the set codes and decodes the set codes to obtain the order numbers and commodity information. Alternatively, the order number and the commodity information obtained by decoding are transmitted to the server 101 and stored. In addition, the commodity information may be displayed on the screen of the cashier device 102. In the present embodiment, when scanning at the cashier device 102, the order number and the commodity information obtained by decoding are transmitted to the server 101 for backup and storage without being transmitted in advance or being verified. Or alternatively, the checkout method further includes sending the order number to the server. For example, after an order is generated, the APP or applet on the order device or user device sends the order number to a server.
For the commodities of the self-made dishes in the store, the method for settling accounts by using the aggregate codes solves the problem that the commodities are difficult to settle accounts due to the fact that the aggregate codes are not available, speeds up commodity settlement, unifies the settlement mode of the self-made dishes with the settlement mode of the commodities with the settlement codes, and enables the settlement method to be simpler and clearer and easy to operate.
When the commodity selected by the customer is a self-made dish without a settlement code, the commodity settlement method comprises the following steps: scanning one or more set codes to obtain prices of commodities of orders corresponding to the one or more set codes; and calculating the total price of the order corresponding to the one or more set codes, and settling.
When the commodity selected by the customer comprises not only the self-made dishes without the settlement code but also the commodity with the settlement code, the settlement method comprises the following steps: scanning one or more set codes to obtain prices of commodities of orders corresponding to the one or more set codes; scanning one or more coded commodities with settlement codes to obtain the price of the coded commodities; the total price is calculated.
After the step of scanning the aggregate code or the scan aggregate code and settlement code, the checkout method further includes: and generating payment credentials, and performing a collection operation. The payment certificate is optionally printed by a printer connected to the cashier device 102 to generate a bill, and the bill may further include information such as store information, commodity information, order information, transaction information, printing time, and payment certificate identification, etc. for the customer to view and keep. Alternatively, the payment document may be an electronic payment document, which includes a two-dimensional code or a bar code, and the information related to the transaction is encoded, for example, at least including the transaction amount, and the customer may make an electronic payment by scanning the electronic payment document.
When the clerk 103 misplaces due to mishandling or the customer 105 wants to modify the selected merchandise, the checkout method provides steps for modification, specifically: providing a graphical user interface on the cashier device for modifying merchandise, including adding and deleting merchandise items and/or amounts, prior to generating the payment credentials; and receiving a modification input through interaction with the graphical user interface for modifying the commodity for which the payment credential is to be generated.
Because the aggregate code is configured to correspond to an order generated by an entirety of one or more selected homemade dishes or items, in the checkout method described above, the graphical user interface is preferably configured to allow for the entire deletion of the order corresponding to the aggregate code, and not to allow for the deletion of individual items in the order corresponding to the aggregate code. When the store clerk 103 or the customer 105 modifies one or more commodities in the order, the order needs to be deleted, wherein the aggregate code is invalidated, and the commodity is reselected to generate a new aggregate code and the order corresponding to the aggregate code is checked out.
