Abstract
The embodiment of the invention relates to a reflection eliminating device and augmented reality display equipment, wherein the reflection eliminating device comprises: the polarizer comprises a polarizer and a quarter-wave plate attached to one surface of the polarizer, and the light transmission direction of the polarizer and the optical axis of the quarter-wave plate form an included angle of 45 +/-10 degrees. The reflection eliminating device can eliminate or weaken light reflected and scattered to the outside by human eyes and surrounding skin when the augmented reality display equipment is worn, and reduce the exposure probability of a wearer when the wearer participates in night military operation or other activities needing to be concealed.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of augmented reality, in particular to a reflection eliminating device and an augmented reality display device.
Background
Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology for calculating the position and angle of a camera image in real time and adding a corresponding image. The AR can present the virtual information in reality and let the person interact with the virtual information. The AR can carry out seamless butt joint on real and virtual information through a technical means, and constructs things which do not exist in reality into a three-dimensional scene to be displayed, and the three-dimensional scene is mutually connected with real life.
Usually, the augmented reality display device needs to be worn to realize interaction with virtual information, but when the augmented reality display device is worn, light projected by the glasses is irradiated on human eyes and the surroundings of the human eyes, so that a wearer can see virtual patterns projected by the augmented reality display device, but the illumination of the human eyes and the surroundings of the human eyes is strong, and bright spots are formed. The eyeballs and the skin around the eyes can reflect and scatter light to the outside, so that the eyeballs and the skin around the eyes can be seen by others or the instrument can detect the bright spots at the positions of the eyes. Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating generation of bright spots in human eyes when an augmented reality display device is worn in the prior art. If the augmented reality display device is worn to participate in night military operations or other activities that require concealment, the resulting light spot tends to expose the wearer's location.
It can be seen that the augmented reality display device in the prior art has a problem that the wearer is exposed due to the generated bright spots.
The above drawbacks are expected to be overcome by those skilled in the art.

Detailed Description
For the purpose of better explaining the present invention and to facilitate understanding, the present invention will be described in detail by way of specific embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.
All technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this invention belongs. The terminology used in the description of the invention herein is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of the invention. As used herein, the term "and/or" includes any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items.
Fig. 2 is a schematic composition diagram of a reflection removing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 2, the reflection removing apparatus includes: the display panel comprises a polarizer 201 and a quarter-wave plate 202 attached to one surface of the polarizer, wherein the light transmission direction of the polarizer 201 and the optical axis of the quarter-wave plate 202 form an included angle of 45 degrees +/-10 degrees, namely the display effect is ensured within the range of up-down 10 degrees within the range of 45 degrees.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the path of light from the outside world to the human eye is: the incident light beam becomes polarized light after passing through the polarizer 201, and the polarized light becomes circularly polarized light after passing through the quarter-wave plate 202; the path of light from the human eye to the outside world is: the light reflected by human eyes is changed into linearly polarized light with the vibration direction perpendicular to the transmission axis direction of the polaroid sheet after passing through the quarter-wave plate 202, and then is absorbed after passing through the polaroid sheet 201, so that the light reflected by the human eyes cannot be seen from the outside, and the problem of bright spots is solved.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the polarizer and the quarter-wave plate may be glued together. For example, the bonding of the two can be achieved by a light-curable glue (UV glue) for bonding the optical element, a solid state optical bonding glue (OCA glue) or other light-transmissive glue.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the polarizer and the quarter wave plate are fixed together by a structural member.
In an embodiment of the present invention, fig. 5 is a schematic diagram illustrating a sheet metal fixing of a reflection eliminating apparatus in an embodiment of the present invention, and the structural member may be a sheet metal housing 501 as shown in fig. 5, and fixes a protective cover plate 301, a polarizer 302, a quarter-wave plate 303, and a protective cover plate 304; the additional portion 502 having the fixing hole may be protected.
In an embodiment of the present invention, fig. 6 is a schematic view of fixing a fixing case of a reflection eliminator in an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 6, the protective cover plate 301, the polarizer 302, the quarter-wave plate 303, and the protective cover plate 304 may be installed in a housing 601, and then the housing 602 is covered and finally fixed by screws.

Fig. 3 is a schematic structural view of the reflection removing device with protective cover plates disposed on two sides thereof according to the present invention, as shown in fig. 3, sequentially including: a protective cover plate 301, a polarizer 302, a quarter-wave plate 303 and a protective cover plate 304, wherein adjacent two plates or plates may be bonded together by gluing or structural members.
In an embodiment of the present invention, an antireflection film may be further disposed on an outer surface of the protective cover 301 and/or 304, so as to improve a display effect.
Fig. 4 is a schematic diagram of a specific implementation of the reflection eliminating apparatus in the embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 4, light emitted by the augmented reality display device passes through the protective cover 301 and the polarizer 302, then is changed into linearly polarized light with a vibration direction parallel to a transmission axis direction of the polarizer 302, further passes through the quarter-wave plate 303, then is changed into circularly polarized light, further passes through the cover glass 304, and then reaches human eyes, light reflected or scattered by human eyes and surrounding skin passes through the cover glass 304 and the quarter-wave plate 303, then is changed into linearly polarized light with a vibration direction perpendicular to the transmission axis direction of the polarizer 302, and then reaches the polarizer 302, and is absorbed, so that the light is not seen or detected by others, and the probability of finding a wearer.
In addition, the embodiment of the invention also provides an augmented reality display device, which comprises the reflection elimination device, and based on the principle shown in fig. 4, the reflection elimination device is arranged between a display screen of the augmented reality display device and human eyes, so that the reflection elimination effect is realized, and the wearer is protected. The augmented reality display apparatus may be a head-mounted display device.

Claims (10)
1. A reflection eliminating apparatus, comprising:
the polarizer comprises a polarizer and a quarter-wave plate attached to one surface of the polarizer, and the light transmission direction of the polarizer and the optical axis of the quarter-wave plate form an included angle of 45 +/-10 degrees.
2. The light reflection removing device according to claim 1, further comprising:

7. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the polarizer and the quarter wave plate are secured together by a structural member.
8. The light reflection eliminating apparatus of claim 7, wherein the structural member is a metal plate or the structural housing is fixed to the housing cover by screws.
9. An augmented reality display apparatus comprising the reflection eliminating apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 8.
10. The augmented reality display apparatus of claim 9, wherein the reflection eliminating means is provided between a display screen of the augmented reality display apparatus and human eyes.
