Fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a dock display method applied to a terminal according to an exemplary embodiment, and the dock display method includes the following steps, as shown in fig. 1.
In step 101, a page of an application that the terminal is running is displayed in a screen.
In step 102, a display signal is received indicating that a dock is displayed, the dock including an icon for at least one application.
In step 103, a dock is displayed on the page displayed in the screen.
In summary, according to the dock display method provided by the present disclosure, if a terminal receives a display signal when an application is running, a dock is displayed on a page of the application displayed in a screen under an indication of the display signal, so that the dock can be displayed by triggering globally, that is, a user can trigger to display the dock without exiting the running application, and a problem that the user needs to exit from a desktop from the running application before triggering to display the dock on the desktop when the dock is fixed on the desktop is solved, thereby improving display efficiency of the dock.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a dock display method applied to a terminal according to another exemplary embodiment. As shown in fig. 2, the dock display method includes the following steps.
In step 201, a page of an application that the terminal is running is displayed in the front screen.
In this embodiment, the terminal is running an application in the foreground, and at this time, the terminal needs to display a page of the application in the front screen, where the application may be any application installed in the terminal. Referring to fig. 3, in fig. 3, taking the application as a call log application as an example, a page of the call log application is displayed in a front screen of the terminal.
It should be noted that the terminal includes a front panel and a side panel. In a first possible implementation manner, the front screen and the side screen are mutually independent screens, and if the terminal comprises the front screen and one side screen, the front screen is fixed on the front side of the terminal, and the side screen is fixed on the left side or the right side of the terminal; if the terminal comprises a front screen and two side screens, the front screen is fixed in front of the terminal, and the two side screens are respectively fixed on the left side and the right side of the terminal. In a second possible implementation manner, the front screen and the side screen are different areas in the same screen, if the screen is a foldable flexible screen, when the screen is in a folded state, the front screen is located on the front of the terminal, and the side screen is located on the side of the terminal; if the screen is a non-foldable screen, the front screen is fixed on the front side of the terminal, and the side screen is fixed on the side of the terminal, as described in the first possible implementation manner.
In step 202, a pressing signal acting on a side screen is received, the pressing signal is used for displaying a dock, and an icon of at least one application is included in the dock.
The dock is a task bar arranged at the edge of a screen of the terminal, the dock comprises at least one application icon, and when any icon is triggered, the application corresponding to the icon is started. Wherein, the dock can be in any shape and can be displayed at any edge of the screen of the terminal. The dock in this embodiment is displayed vertically at the left or right edge of the screen, and can accommodate more icons to increase the number of applications that are launched quickly compared to a dock displayed horizontally at the bottom of the screen.
The icons in the dock are not editable or the icons in the dock are editable and the user can customize the icons that are added to the dock. Optionally, the terminal may further add an icon of an application commonly used by the user (i.e., an application with a launch frequency greater than the first threshold) or an icon of an application recently opened by the user (i.e., a predetermined number of applications opened before the current time) to the dock, which is not limited in this embodiment. Referring to fig. 4, the dock includes 7 icons, which are an icon of a browser, an icon of a short message, an icon of a contact, an icon of a phone, an icon of a WeChat, an icon of a Michatting, and an icon of a photo, respectively, and the first 4 applications are user-defined applications and the last 3 applications are applications recently opened by the user.
The dock may be always displayed on the screen, or the dock may be displayed under the operation of the user, and in this embodiment, the example that the dock is displayed under the operation of the user is described. In one possible implementation manner, the user performs a pressing operation on the side screen, and the terminal receives a pressing signal and determines that the pressing signal is used for indicating the display of the parking bar. Of course, the user may perform other operations to display the dock in the side screen besides the pressing operation, such as a sliding operation, a clicking operation, a double-clicking operation, a predetermined gesture operation, and the like, which is not limited in this embodiment.
In step 203, a dock is displayed on the page displayed in the front screen.
The terminal may display a dock in an overlay manner on the currently displayed page, please refer to fig. 4.
Optionally, when the terminal includes a left side screen and a right side screen, the terminal may further determine whether the received pressing signal is applied to the left side screen or the right side screen; when the pressing signal acts on the left side screen, the terminal displays a stop bar on the edge of the left side of the front screen; when the pressing signal is applied to the side screen on the right side, the terminal displays a dock at the edge of the right side of the front screen.
Optionally, after the terminal displays the dock, the user may select an icon through a sliding operation, and then step 204 is executed; the icon may also be selected by a selection operation, at which point step 207 is performed.
In step 204, a second slide signal applied to the side screen is received.
In a first implementation, after the pressing operation is performed, the user may first lift the finger from the side screen and then press the finger on the side screen to perform the sliding operation. In a second implementation, the user can directly perform the sliding operation without lifting the finger after performing the pressing operation.
Optionally, in the first implementation manner, the terminal may further receive a fixed signal before receiving the second sliding signal, where the fixed signal is used to instruct that the dock is fixedly displayed in the screen, that is, the dock is prohibited from being automatically hidden. The fixing signal may be generated when a user performs a fixing operation, and the fixing operation may be a click operation, a double click operation, a predetermined gesture operation, and the like, which is not limited in this embodiment.
In step 205, one icon is slide-selected from the icons in the dock according to the slide direction of the second slide signal.
The sliding selection refers to that icons are selected in the sliding process, and at most one selected icon exists at the same time.
When the dock includes at least two icons, the terminal may first arrange the at least two icons, determine an order in which the arranged icons are selected according to a sliding direction of the second sliding signal, and slide and select one icon according to the order. Still taking the dock shown in fig. 4 as an example, if the sliding direction is from top to bottom, it is determined that the sequence of selecting the icons is from top to bottom, that is, the icon of the browser is selected for the first time, the icon of the short message is selected for the second time, and so on. If the sliding direction is from bottom to top, the sequence of the selected icons is determined to be from bottom to top, namely, the icon for photographing is selected for the first time, the icon for chatting is selected for the second time, and the like.
Optionally, when an icon is selected, a highlighting rule set for the icon may be further obtained, and the icon is displayed with the highlighting rule to prompt that the icon is currently selected. For example, if the highlighting rule is to enlarge and display an icon, please refer to fig. 5, and if the currently selected icon is an icon of a short message, the icon of the short message is enlarged and displayed.
In step 206, the icon selected when the second sliding signal disappears is determined, and an application corresponding to the icon is started, and step 209 is executed.
And when the user lifts the finger from the side screen after selecting one icon, the terminal determines that the second sliding signal disappears and starts the application corresponding to the icon. Referring to fig. 6, if the selected icon is the icon of the short message when the second sliding signal disappears, the short message is started, and the page of the short message is displayed.
In this embodiment, icons can be efficiently browsed and selected by sliding selection. In addition, when the user directly executes the sliding operation without lifting the finger after executing the pressing operation, one application can be quickly started through a continuous operation, and the starting efficiency of the application is improved.
In step 207, a selection signal is received that acts on one of the icons in the dock.
When a user performs a selection operation in a display area of one icon, the terminal receives a selection signal applied to the one icon. The selection operation may be a click operation, a double-click operation, a predetermined gesture operation, and the like, and the embodiment is not limited.
Optionally, the terminal may further receive a fixing signal for instructing to fixedly display the dock in the screen, i.e., to prohibit the dock from being automatically hidden, before receiving the selection signal. The fixing signal may be generated when a user performs a fixing operation, and the fixing operation may be a click operation, a double click operation, a predetermined gesture operation, and the like, which is not limited in this embodiment.
In step 208, an application corresponding to the icon is launched.
In step 209, the dock is hidden; or receiving a hiding signal for indicating to hide the dock, and hiding the dock according to the hiding signal.
Optionally, the terminal may automatically hide the dock. In one possible implementation, the terminal hides the dock when the user's finger is lifted; in another possible implementation manner, the terminal hides the dock after starting an application; in another possible implementation manner, the terminal hides the dock after the dock is displayed for a predetermined time.
Optionally, the terminal may hide the dock under operation of the user. In one possible implementation, the terminal receives a hide signal, and hides the dock under the direction of the hide signal. The hiding signal may be generated when a user performs a hiding operation in a blank space in the side screen or the front screen, where the hiding operation may be a click operation, a double click operation, a predetermined gesture operation, and the like, and the embodiment is not limited.
Optionally, after the terminal fixes the dock, the dock cannot be automatically hidden, and the dock needs to be hidden only when a hidden signal is received.
Optionally, since the dock is overlaid on the page of the application, when the user performs the hiding operation on the front screen, the terminal controls the dock to respond to the hiding operation, and the application does not respond to the hiding operation.
In this embodiment, a plurality of modes for selecting an icon and a plurality of modes for hiding a dock are provided, and a plurality of operation modes of a dock can be obtained by combining these modes, and two operation modes thereof will be described below.
The first operation mode is as follows: the terminal displays a page of an application running in a front screen; a user performs pressing operation on the side screen, and the terminal displays the parking bar according to the received pressing signal; the user directly executes a second sliding operation when the finger is not lifted, and the terminal slides and selects one icon in the parking bar according to the received second sliding signal; when the user lifts the finger, the terminal determines that the second sliding signal disappears, and starts the application corresponding to the selected icon; the terminal hides the docking fence.
The second operation mode is as follows: the terminal displays a page of an application running in a front screen; a user performs pressing operation on the side screen, and the terminal displays the parking bar according to the received pressing signal; the user performs double-click operation on the blank of the side screen or the front screen after lifting the finger, and the terminal fixes the parking bar according to the received double-click signal; a user executes a click operation on one icon in the stop bar, the terminal selects one icon according to a received click signal and starts an application corresponding to the icon; and the user executes click operation on the blank of the side screen or the front screen, and the terminal hides the docking bar according to the received click signal.
By displaying the dock vertically at the left or right edge of the screen, more icons can be accommodated to increase the number of applications that are launched quickly compared to a dock displayed horizontally at the bottom of the screen.
Icons can be efficiently browsed and selected by sliding selection. In addition, when the user directly executes the second sliding operation without lifting the finger after the pressing operation is executed, an application can be quickly started through a continuous operation, and the starting efficiency of the application is improved.
