Description

Wireless communication device
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a wireless communication apparatus that performs wireless communication with each wireless device of a slave unit and a repeater.
Background
In a general wireless LAN (Local Area Network) system, a relay device for relaying wireless communication between a master device and a slave device is used. In this case, even if the slave unit does not enter the communication area of the master unit, the slave unit can wirelessly connect to the relay unit and can wirelessly communicate with the master unit via the relay unit as long as the slave unit enters the communication area of the relay unit.
In the above-described wireless LAN system, when a situation (hereinafter referred to as "specific situation") occurs in which a slave unit wirelessly connected to a repeater moves within a communication area of the repeater and enters a communication area of both the repeater and the master unit, radio waves of the master unit, the repeater, and the slave unit interfere with each other. As a result, communication efficiency in the wireless LAN system is lowered. In order to avoid such interference, when a specific situation occurs, it is necessary to switch the connection destination of the slave unit from the repeater to the master unit. However, in a general wireless LAN system, a slave unit is configured to be wirelessly connected to one access point having a stronger radio wave intensity preferentially. Therefore, even when a specific situation occurs, if the radio wave intensity of the relay device is stronger than that of the base device, the connection destination of the slave device cannot be switched from the relay device to the base device.
Further, the following techniques are proposed: when the slave unit moves, a handover (handoff) request is transmitted to the AP of the destination in response to a request from the AP of the source of movement, and the connection destination of the slave unit is handed over from the AP of the source of movement to the AP of the destination of movement (see, for example, patent document 1).

The wireless communication device of the present invention includes: a wireless communication unit that performs wireless communication with each of the wireless devices of the slave unit and the relay unit; a probe detection unit that detects a probe request transmitted from each wireless device and received by the wireless communication unit; and a connection control unit that specifies a transmission source of the probe request detected by the probe detection unit and transmits a probe response to the specified transmission source, thereby establishing a wireless LAN connection between the wireless communication unit and the transmission source, wherein the relay unit is configured to disconnect the wireless LAN connection with the slave unit if the wireless LAN connection with the wireless communication unit is disconnected, and wherein the connection control unit transmits the probe response to the slave unit as the transmission source after disconnecting the wireless LAN connection between the wireless communication unit and the relay unit when the transmission source is the slave unit and the wireless LAN connection is established between the wireless communication unit and the relay unit.
Effects of the invention

Detailed Description
Hereinafter, a radio communication apparatus according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings according to preferred embodiments. In the description of the drawings, the same or corresponding portions are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant description thereof is omitted.
Embodiment 1.
Fig. 1 is a configuration diagram showing a wireless LAN system according to embodiment 1 of the present invention. In fig. 1, the wireless LAN system includes a wireless communication device 1 (hereinafter, referred to as a master 1) having functions as a master, a repeater 2, and a slave unit 3.
In fig. 1, a communication area a1 of the master 1, a communication area a2 of the repeater 2, and a communication area A3 of the slave unit 3 are schematically illustrated. Fig. 1 illustrates a case where a wireless LAN connection is established between the master unit 1 and the relay unit 2, and a wireless LAN connection is established between the relay unit 2 and the slave unit 3.
As shown in fig. 1, the slave unit 3 does not enter the communication area a1 of the master unit 1, but enters the communication area a2 of the repeater 2 wirelessly connected to the master unit 1. Since the slave unit 3 is wirelessly connected to the relay unit 2, wireless communication with the master unit 1 can be performed via the relay unit 2.
The repeater 2 periodically transmits a Probe request (Probe request) in order to attempt a wireless LAN connection with the base unit 1. The probe request includes, as information for specifying a source of the probe request, a Media Access Control (MAC) address of the source. If the probe request transmitted from the repeater 2 is received by the master 1 and a probe response is returned from the master 1 to the repeater 2, a wireless LAN connection is established between the master 1 and the repeater 2.
The slave unit 3 periodically transmits a probe request in order to attempt a wireless LAN connection with the master unit 1 or the relay unit 2. When the probe request transmitted from the slave unit 3 is received by the master unit 1 and a probe response is returned from the master unit 1 to the slave unit 3, a wireless LAN connection is established between the master unit 1 and the slave unit 3. On the other hand, if the probe request transmitted from the slave unit 3 is received by the relay unit 2 and the probe response is returned from the relay unit 2 to the slave unit 3, the wireless LAN connection is established between the relay unit 2 and the slave unit 3.
The relay unit 2 is configured to disconnect the wireless LAN connection established with the slave unit 3 if the wireless LAN connection established with the master unit 1 is disconnected. Specifically, if the wireless LAN connection established with the base unit 1 is disconnected in accordance with control from the base unit 1 side, the relay 2 stops the relay function. When the relay function is stopped, the wireless LAN connection established between the relay device 2 and the slave device 3 is disconnected, and the relay device 2 cannot receive the probe request from the slave device 3. If the wireless LAN connection is established again between the base unit 1 and the relay unit 2, the stop of the relay function of the relay unit 2 is released. When the stop of the relay function is released, the repeater 2 can receive the probe request from the slave unit 3. Such a configuration is a configuration provided in a general repeater.
Next, the structure of the base unit 1 will be described with reference to fig. 2. Conventional configurations can be applied to the respective configurations of the repeater 2 and the slave unit 3, and the configuration of the master unit 1 corresponds to the technical features of the present application. Therefore, the configurations of the repeater 2 and the slave unit 3 will not be described in detail, and the configuration of the master unit 1 will be described in detail.
Fig. 2 is a configuration diagram showing the base unit 1 in embodiment 1 of the present invention. The master 1 is realized by, for example, a microcomputer that executes arithmetic processing, a ROM (Read Only Memory) that stores data such as program data and fixed value data, a RAM (Random Access Memory) that updates and sequentially rewrites the stored data, and a communication device. In fig. 2, the base unit 1 includes a wireless communication unit 11, a probe detection unit 12, a storage unit 13, and a connection control unit 14.
The wireless communication unit 11 performs wireless communication with each wireless device of the repeater 2 and the slave unit 3. The probe detection unit 12 detects a probe request transmitted from each wireless device and received by the wireless communication unit 11.
The storage unit 13 stores a MAC address list in which the type of each wireless device, the MAC address of each wireless device, and the state of each wireless device are associated with each other.
Here, an example of the MAC address list stored in the storage unit 13 will be described with reference to fig. 3. Fig. 3 is a table showing an example of the MAC address list stored in the storage unit 13 of the master 1 in embodiment 1 of the present invention.
In fig. 3, "category" indicates a wireless device registered in advance in the wireless LAN system, and here, a case where the wireless device registered in advance is the slave unit 3 and the relay unit 2 is exemplified. The "MAC address" is information for specifying the wireless devices shown in the "category", and is independently assigned to each wireless device. The "state" is classified into three types of "unconnected", "close", and "connected".
In addition, "unconnected" indicates a state in which there is no corresponding wireless device within a range in which the probe request reaches the wireless communication unit 11. "proximity" indicates a state in which, although there is a corresponding wireless device within a range in which the probe request reaches the wireless communication unit 11, no wireless LAN connection is established between the wireless communication unit 11 and the corresponding wireless device. "connected" indicates a state in which a wireless LAN connection is established between the wireless communication section 11 and the corresponding wireless device.
In this way, in the MAC address list, the category of each wireless device, the MAC address of each wireless device, and the state of each wireless device are associated. In the MAC address list, "type" and "MAC address" are registered in advance by an administrator of the wireless LAN system. In the MAC address list, the initial value of the "state" is "unconnected", and is updated by the connection control unit 14.
Returning to the description of fig. 2, the connection control unit 14 determines the transmission source of the probe request detected by the probe detection unit 12. Specifically, the connection control unit 14 refers to the MAC address list, selects a type corresponding to the MAC address of the transmission source included in the probe request detected by the probe detection unit 12, and specifies the transmission source.
The connection control unit 14 establishes a wireless LAN connection between the wireless communication unit 11 and the specified transmission source by transmitting a probe response to the transmission source.
Here, a general connection procedure to be handled when the wireless communication unit 11 establishes a wireless LAN connection with each wireless device will be described with reference to fig. 4. Fig. 4 is a diagram showing an example of a connection procedure to be performed when a wireless LAN connection is established between the master unit 1 and the slave unit 3 in embodiment 1 of the present invention.
As shown in fig. 4, when the master unit 1 is present in the range where the probe request transmitted by the slave unit 3 reaches, the wireless communication unit 11 of the master unit 1 receives the probe request, and the probe detection unit 12 detects the probe request received by the wireless communication unit 11.
Next, a probe response is returned from the master unit 1 to the slave unit 3 in response to the probe request detected by the probe detection unit 12. Subsequently, authentication is performed from both the slave unit 3 and the master unit 1. Finally, an Association request (Association request) is transmitted from the slave unit 3 to the master unit 1, and an Association response is returned from the master unit 1 to the slave unit 3, thereby establishing a wireless LAN connection between the slave unit 3 and the master unit 1.
The connection procedure performed when the wireless LAN connection is established between the master unit 1 and the relay unit 2 and the connection procedure performed when the wireless LAN connection is established between the relay unit 2 and the slave unit 3 are the same as those shown in fig. 4.
Returning to the description of fig. 2, when the source of the probe request is the slave unit 3 and the wireless LAN connection is established between the wireless communication unit 11 and the relay unit 2, the connection control unit 14 performs the following characteristic control processing. That is, the connection control unit 14 disconnects the wireless LAN connection between the wireless communication unit 11 and the relay unit 2, and then transmits a probe response to the slave unit 3 as the transmission source.
That is, as described above, the repeater 2 is configured to disconnect the wireless LAN connection established with the slave unit 3 if the wireless LAN connection established with the master unit 1 is disconnected. Therefore, by utilizing the configuration of the repeater 2 as described above, the connection control unit 14 indirectly disconnects the wireless LAN connection between the repeater 2 and the slave unit 3 by disconnecting the wireless LAN connection between the wireless communication unit 11 and the repeater 2.
Then, the connection control unit 14 transmits a probe response to the slave unit 3 that is the transmission source of the probe request. Thereby, the wireless LAN connection is established between the wireless communication unit 11 and the slave unit 3.
In this way, when the transmission source of the probe request is the slave unit 3 and the wireless LAN connection is established between the wireless communication unit 11 and the relay unit 2, the connection control unit 14 disconnects the wireless LAN connection between the wireless communication unit 11 and the relay unit 2 and then transmits the probe response to the slave unit 3 as the transmission source. Such control processing is performed during a period from the detection of the probe request from the source to the return of the probe response to the source.
Therefore, even when the above-described specific situation occurs, the connection destination of the slave unit 3 can be appropriately switched from the relay unit 2 to the master unit 1.
Next, a characteristic control process of the connection control unit 14 will be further described with reference to fig. 5. Fig. 5 is a diagram schematically showing an example in which the connection destination of the slave unit 3 is switched from the relay unit 2 to the master unit 1 by the control processing of the connection control unit 14 of the master unit 1 in embodiment 1 of the present invention. In fig. 5, a situation is considered in which the slave unit 3 wirelessly connected to the relay unit 2 moves and enters the communication areas of both the master unit 1 and the relay unit 2 in the situation shown in fig. 1.
As shown in fig. 1, the master 1 is wirelessly connected to the repeater 2. Since the slave unit 3 transmits the probe request as described above, when the slave unit enters the communication area a1 of the master unit 1, the wireless communication unit 11 receives the probe request transmitted from the slave unit 3, and the probe detection unit 12 detects the probe request. In this case, the transmission source of the probe request is the slave unit 3, and the wireless LAN connection is established between the wireless communication unit 11 and the relay unit 2.
Therefore, as shown in fig. 5, the connection control unit 14 disconnects the wireless LAN connection between the wireless communication unit 11 and the repeater 2. Thereby, the relay function of the relay unit 2 is stopped, and as a result, the wireless LAN connection between the relay unit 2 and the slave unit 3 is disconnected. However, when the probe detection unit 12 no longer detects the probe signal transmitted from the slave unit 3, the connection control unit 14 establishes the wireless LAN connection again between the wireless communication unit 11 and the relay unit 2.
The connection control unit 14 disconnects the wireless LAN connection between the wireless communication unit 11 and the relay device 2, and then returns a probe response to the slave unit 3 that is the transmission source of the probe request. As a result, the process of the connection procedure shown in fig. 4 is performed, and thus, as shown in fig. 5, a wireless LAN connection is established between the master unit 1 and the slave unit 3. That is, even when the above-described specific situation occurs, the connection destination of the slave unit 3 can be switched from the relay unit 2 to the master unit 1 by the control processing of the connection control unit 14.
The connection control unit 14 further updates the "state" in the MAC address list by managing the establishment status of the wireless LAN connection between the wireless communication unit 11 and each wireless device.
Next, a characteristic control process of the connection control unit 14 will be described with reference to fig. 6. Fig. 6 is a flowchart showing a series of control processes performed by the connection control unit 14 of the base unit 1 in embodiment 1 of the present invention.
The series of processing in the flowchart of fig. 6 is performed when the probe detection unit 12 detects a probe request received by the wireless communication unit 11.
In step S101, the connection control unit 14 specifies the source of the probe request detected by the probe detection unit 12, and the process proceeds to step S102.
Specifically, the connection control unit 14 acquires the MAC address of the transmission source included in the probe request. Next, the connection control unit 14 refers to the MAC address list, selects a category corresponding to the acquired MAC address, and identifies the selected category as a transmission source. If the category corresponding to the acquired MAC address does not exist in the MAC address list, the connection control unit 14 makes the transmission source unknown.
In step S102, the connection control unit 14 determines whether or not the transmission source identified in step S101 is the relay 2.
If it is determined in step S102 that the transmission source is the relay 2, the process proceeds to step S103. On the other hand, if it is determined in step S102 that the transmission source is not the relay 2, the process proceeds to step S105.
In step S103, the connection control unit 14 updates the state of the relay 2 as the transmission source of the probe signal from "unconnected" to "close" in the MAC address list, and the process proceeds to step S104. In addition, if the state of the relay 2 is "close" or "connected" in the MAC address list, the connection control unit 14 does not update the state of the relay 2, and the process ends.
In step S104, the connection control unit 14 checks the state of the slave unit 3 by referring to the MAC address list, and determines whether the checked state of the slave unit 3 is "close" or "connected".
When it is determined in step S104 that the state of the slave unit 3 is "close" or "connected", the process ends. In this case, the probe response is not returned to the relay device 2 that is the source of the probe request.
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S104 that the state of the slave unit 3 is neither "close" nor "connected", that is, "unconnected", the process proceeds to step S109. In this case, in step S109 to be described later, a probe response is returned to the relay device 2 that is the source of the probe request.
In step S105, the connection control unit 14 determines whether or not the transmission source identified in step S101 is the slave unit 3.
If it is determined in step S105 that the transmission source is the slave unit 3, the process proceeds to step S106.
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S105 that the transmission source is not the slave unit 3, the process ends. In this case, the source of the probe request is unknown, and therefore, the probe response is not returned to the source.
In step S106, the connection control unit 14 updates the state of the slave unit 3 as the transmission source of the probe signal from "unconnected" to "close" in the MAC address list, and the process proceeds to step S107. In the MAC address list, if the state of the slave unit 3 is "close" or "connected", the connection control unit 14 does not update the state of the slave unit 3, and the process ends.
In step S107, the connection control unit 14 checks the state of the relay 2 by referring to the MAC address list, and determines whether the checked state of the relay 2 is "connected". That is, in step S107, the connection control unit 14 refers to the MAC address list and determines whether or not the wireless LAN connection is established between the wireless communication unit 11 and the relay device 2.
When it is determined in step S107 that the state of the relay 2 is "connected", the process proceeds to step S108.
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S107 that the state of the relay 2 is not "connected", that is, "close" or "unconnected", the process proceeds to step S109. In this case, in step S109 to be described later, a probe response is returned to the slave unit 3 as the transmission source of the probe request.
In this way, when the source of the probe request is the slave unit 3 and the wireless LAN connection is not established between the wireless communication unit 11 and the relay unit 2, the connection control unit 14 transmits the probe response to the slave unit 3 as the source.
In step S108, the connection control unit 14 transmits a signal for canceling the authentication of the wireless LAN connection to the relay device 2, thereby disconnecting the wireless LAN connection between the wireless communication unit 11 and the relay device 2, and the process proceeds to step S109. In this case, in step S109 to be described later, a probe response is returned to the slave unit 3 as the transmission source of the probe request. Further, the connection control unit 14 updates the state of the relay 2 from "connected" to "unconnected" in the MAC address list.
In this way, the connection control unit 14 disconnects the wireless LAN connection between the wireless communication unit 11 and the repeater 2. Thereby, the wireless LAN connection between the repeater 2 and the slave unit 3 is disconnected.
In step S109, the connection control unit 14 transmits a probe response to the transmission source specified in step S101 via the wireless communication unit 11, and the process ends. In this case, by performing the processing of the connection procedure shown in fig. 4, the wireless LAN connection is established between the master 1 and the source having returned the probe response to the probe request. Further, if a wireless LAN connection is established between the wireless communication section 11 and the transmission source, the connection control section 14 updates the state of the transmission source from "close" to "connected" in the MAC address list.
In this way, when the source of the probe request is the slave unit 3 and the wireless LAN connection is established between the wireless communication unit 11 and the relay unit 2, the connection control unit 14 disconnects the wireless LAN connection between the wireless communication unit 11 and the relay unit 2 and then transmits the probe response to the slave unit 3 as the source of the probe request.
Next, an application example of the wireless LAN system in embodiment 1 will be described with reference to fig. 7. Fig. 7 is a configuration diagram showing an elevator apparatus 100 to which a wireless LAN system according to embodiment 1 of the present invention is applied.
In an elevator apparatus 100 shown in fig. 7, a parent machine 1 is provided at a lower portion of a hoistway 101 and is communicably connected to a monitoring apparatus 102. The monitoring device 102 is communicably connected to an elevator control panel (not shown) that controls operations of various devices of the elevator apparatus 100. The master 1 is connected to an upper network such as the internet. The monitoring device 102 monitors the state of the elevator apparatus 100, and transmits the monitoring result to a remote monitoring center (not shown) via the base unit 1.
The relay 2 is disposed in an upper portion of the hoistway 101. The slave unit 3 is, for example, a portable terminal for service point inspection held by a service person of the elevator apparatus 100, and moves as the service person moves between floors.
The slave unit 3 enters only the communication area of the master unit 1 when it is located on the a-layer, enters both the communication areas of the master unit 1 and the repeater 2 when it is located on the B-layer, and enters only the communication area of the repeater 2 when it is located on the C-layer.
For example, when the slave unit 3 wirelessly connected to the relay unit 2 moves from the C-layer to the B-layer, the slave unit 3 enters the communication area of both the master unit 1 and the relay unit 2. Even in such a situation, the wireless LAN connection between the base unit 1 and the relay unit 2 is disconnected by the control processing of the connection control unit 14, and the connection destination of the slave unit 3 is switched from the relay unit 2 to the base unit 1.
As described above, according to embodiment 1, the wireless communication apparatus is configured to establish a wireless LAN connection with the slave unit by disconnecting the wireless LAN connection with the relay unit and then transmitting a probe response to the slave unit as the transmission source when the transmission source of the detected probe request is the slave unit and the wireless LAN connection is established with the relay unit. The relay device is configured to disconnect the wireless LAN connection with the slave device if the wireless LAN connection with the wireless communication device is disconnected.
In this way, since switching from the relay of the slave unit to the master unit is performed at an appropriate timing, stable communication in the wireless LAN system can be continued, and since the modification of the slave unit is not required, the general-purpose terminal can be used as the slave unit. Therefore, even when a general-purpose terminal is used as the slave unit, it is possible to contribute to the realization of a wireless LAN system in which the connection destination of the slave unit can be appropriately switched from the relay unit to the master unit when a specific situation occurs.
In the above configuration, the radio communication apparatus refers to the MAC address list in which the type of each radio device and the MAC address of each radio device are associated with each other, and thereby specifies the source of the probe request. By using such a MAC address list, the source of the probe request can be accurately determined.
In the above configuration, the wireless communication apparatus is configured to determine whether or not the wireless LAN connection is established with the repeater by referring to a MAC address list which associates the type of each wireless device and the MAC address of each wireless device and also associates the state of each wireless device with the type of each wireless device and the MAC address of each wireless device. By using such a MAC address list, it is possible to accurately determine whether or not a wireless LAN connection between the wireless communication apparatus and the relay is established.
The wireless communication device 1 according to embodiment 1 may be configured to have a function as a relay in addition to the above-described function as a master.
