Detailed Description
The present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples. It is to be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not limiting of the invention. It should be further noted that, for the convenience of description, only some of the structures related to the present invention are shown in the drawings, not all of the structures. In addition, the embodiments and features of the embodiments in the present invention may be combined with each other without conflict.
Example one
Fig. 1A is a flowchart of a video downloading method according to an embodiment of the present invention, which is applicable to a situation where multiple associated videos are played in any service scenario. The method for downloading video provided by this embodiment may be performed by a device for downloading video provided by the embodiment of the present invention, where the device may be implemented in a software and/or hardware manner, and is integrated in a server for performing the method, where the server may be a background server participating in downloading video data.
Specifically, referring to fig. 1A, the method may include the steps of:
s110, determining the downloading progress of the uncompleted downloaded currently played video in real time.
Specifically, when a user continuously plays each associated video, in order to avoid video playing jamming as much as possible, the user usually selects to download the video in advance before playing the video, and at this time, there are two situations that the downloading is already completed and not completed at this time when playing the video, for example, if the user frequently switches the video playing operation, the user switches to the next video playing after only playing a small part of the video before switching, and at this time, the video after switching may only download a part of the video, and not complete the downloading locally; the video which is not downloaded is processed in a side-by-side playing mode so as to avoid pause of subsequent playing of the video.
In this embodiment, in order to avoid the problem that the video playing is paused when the user frequently switches the video playing operation, and the switched video is not yet downloaded during playing, the switched video is downloaded while the video before switching is played in advance, that is, if the currently played video is not downloaded locally, the next played video is selected to be downloaded simultaneously during the video playing process while the currently played video is being played, and the pre-downloading of the next played video occupies a part of the network bandwidth during downloading the currently played video, so that the downloading rate of the currently played video is reduced, and thus the currently played video may be paused, at this time, in order to avoid the playing of the currently played video being paused, the embodiment needs to analyze in real time whether the downloading state of the currently played video can ensure the smooth playing of the currently played video, when the smooth playing of the currently played video cannot be guaranteed, the downloading of the next played video can be selectively suspended, so that the currently played video can be fully downloaded by adopting all network bandwidths, and the downloading priority of the currently played video is realized.
And S120, if the downloading progress supports smooth playing of the currently played video and residual pre-downloading of the next played video, pre-downloading the next played video while downloading the currently played video, and suspending the pre-downloading of the next played video until the downloading progress does not support the smooth playing of the currently played video, and only downloading the currently played video.
Specifically, after determining the downloading progress of the currently playing video in real time, first, it needs to be determined whether the downloading progress can support the smooth playing of the currently playing video, the smooth playing of the currently playing video may require that the playing content of the currently playing video that needs to be played at the current time has been downloaded at the previous time, that is, the remaining playable time of the currently playing video is longer than a preset smooth playing lower limit, which is the minimum time length of the currently playing video that is downloaded and is allowed to be played smoothly, if the downloading progress of the currently playing video is determined to support the smooth playing of the currently playing video, it continues to be determined whether the downloading progress can continue to support the remaining pre-downloading of the next playing video, that is, it is determined whether the remaining playable time length of the currently playing video is longer than the remaining downloading time length of the next playing video after subtracting the preset smooth playing lower limit, as shown in fig. 1B, if the downloading progress of the currently playing video supports smooth playing of the currently playing video and remaining pre-downloading of the next playing video, the currently playing video and the next playing video are downloaded simultaneously in the playing process of the currently playing video, so that the next playing video is synchronously pre-downloaded on the basis of ensuring the playing smoothness of the currently playing video, and pre-downloading of the next playing video is realized, so as to ensure that the next playing video can be played as soon as possible after being switched, and avoid pause in playing of the next playing video.
It should be noted that the preset smooth playing lower limit in this embodiment may be configured by using an online service experiment, for example, an online AB experiment.
Further, when the next playing video is kept in the pre-downloading state, the embodiment further determines the downloading progress of the currently playing video in real time, and determines whether the downloading progress at each subsequent moment is smooth playing of the currently playing video, if the next playing video is always in the pre-downloading state in the current time period until the downloading progress of the currently playing video does not support smooth playing of the currently playing video, that is, the remaining playable time length of the currently playing video is less than or equal to the preset smooth playing lower limit, the pre-downloading of the next playing video is suspended, and the currently playing video is downloaded by using all network bandwidths, so as to ensure that the currently playing video is downloaded as soon as possible, so that more downloaded playing contents can exist in the currently playing video to realize smooth playing, at the moment, the next playing video is always in the pre-downloading suspended state, and the downloading progress of the currently playing video is continuously determined in real time subsequently, and continuously downloading the next playing video again while downloading the current playing video until the downloading progress of the current playing video supports the smooth playing of the current playing video and the residual downloading of the next playing video, and circularly updating the state of whether the next playing video is downloaded in advance or not according to the downloading progress of the current playing video, so that the pre-downloading of the next playing video is realized on the basis of ensuring the smooth playing of the current playing video, and the pause of the playing of the next playing video is avoided.
Illustratively, the remaining playable time length of the currently played video refers to a time length that the currently played video has been downloaded but not played, at this time, the present embodiment sets a transition interval with a length of the remaining download time length of the next played video by hopefully ensuring that the next played video can be downloaded within the remaining playable time period of the currently played video as far as possible, the lower limit of the transition interval is a preset lower smooth play limit, the upper limit of the transition interval is the sum of the preset lower smooth play limit and the remaining download time length of the next played video, since the remaining playable time length of the currently played video changes with the network download state, at this time, if the remaining playable time length of the currently played video is greater than the remaining download time length of the next played video after subtracting the preset lower smooth play limit, that is, the remaining playable time length exceeds the transition upper limit, the next played time length starts to be downloaded, if the continuous remaining playing time length is continuously reduced, the next playing time length still keeps the pre-downloading state when the playing time length is reduced to be positioned in the transition interval, the pre-downloading of the next playing video is not suspended until the playing time length is reduced to be below the preset smooth playing, and if the remaining playing time length of the current playing video begins to increase, the next playing video still keeps the suspended pre-downloading when the playing time length is larger than the preset smooth playing and enters the transition interval, and the next playing video is not downloaded again until the sum of the preset smooth playing lower limit and the remaining downloading time length is increased to be more than the upper limit of the transition interval, so that the state of the pre-downloading of the next playing video is kept in the transition interval when the pre-downloading of the next playing video is switched on and switched off, and the frequent switching between the starting and the suspending cannot be carried out along with the change of the remaining playing time length of the current playing video above and below a certain threshold, and the error of the pre-downloading of the next playing video is avoided.
Further, after determining the currently played video, the present embodiment may further include: and determining the next playing video related to the current playing video.
Specifically, the next playing video associated with the currently playing video is determined by judging the association relationship among the set videos, for example, when a user continuously watches different short videos or television series, the playing sequence of each video is preset, and then the next playing video associated with the currently playing video is determined.
In the technical scheme provided by this embodiment, if the currently playing video is not downloaded locally, the corresponding downloading progress is determined in real time during the playing process of the currently playing video, and at this time, if the downloading progress supports smooth playing of the currently playing video and remaining pre-downloading of the next playing video, the next playing video is pre-downloaded while the currently playing video is downloaded, so as to ensure that the currently playing video and the next playing video are downloaded synchronously during the playing process of the currently playing video, and the next playing video can be continuously downloaded without completing downloading of the currently playing video, so that the next playing video can be pre-downloaded as soon as possible, thereby avoiding the playing jam during switching playing of the video, and only downloading the currently playing video until the downloading progress does not support smooth playing of the currently playing video, the downloading priority of the currently played video is ensured, the playing jam of the currently played video is avoided, and the playing smoothness of the currently played video is improved.
Example two
Fig. 2A is a flowchart of a video downloading method according to a second embodiment of the present invention, and fig. 2B is a schematic diagram of a video downloading process according to the second embodiment of the present invention. The embodiment is optimized on the basis of the embodiment. Specifically, as shown in fig. 2A, the present embodiment explains in detail a specific process of determining whether the downloading progress of the currently playing video supports the smooth playing of the currently playing video and the remaining downloading process of the next playing video.
Optionally, as shown in fig. 2A, the present embodiment may include the following steps:
s210, determining the downloading progress of the uncompleted downloaded currently played video in real time.
S220, determining the playing progress of the currently played video in real time.
Specifically, when judging whether the download progress of the currently played video supports the smooth playing of the currently played video, it is necessary to judge whether the remaining playable time length of the playing content that can be played after the currently played video has been downloaded can reach the minimum playable time length that supports the smooth playing, that is, the preset smooth playing lower limit in this embodiment, at this time, as shown in fig. 2B, after the download progress of the currently played video is determined in real time, the play progress of the currently played video also needs to be determined in real time, so as to calculate the remaining playable time length of the currently played video in real time; meanwhile, when judging whether the downloading progress of the currently played video supports the remaining downloading of the next played video, whether the remaining playable time of the currently played video is greater than the remaining downloading time of the next played video on the basis of the preset smooth playing lower limit needs to be judged, so that the remaining downloading time of the next played video is further estimated according to the current network state and the data volume which is not downloaded in the next played video.
For example, in this embodiment, estimating the remaining download duration of the next playing video may specifically include: and estimating the residual downloading time length of the next playing video according to the playing time length and the downloading parameters of the current playing video.
Specifically, in this embodiment, the network state of the next playing video during downloading may be predicted by referring to the network change state of the currently playing video during downloading, and the play duration of the currently playing video and the downloading parameters such as the video bitrate and the downloading rate of the currently playing video downloaded in the current play period are determined first, so that the change condition of the current network state is analyzed according to the play duration and the downloading parameters, and meanwhile, the video data amount of the next playing video not yet downloaded at the current time is determined, and then the remaining downloading duration of the next playing video is estimated according to the network state and the remaining downloading data amount, so as to continuously determine whether the remaining playable duration of the currently playing video supports the remaining downloading duration of the next playing video.
And S230, calculating the remaining playable time length of the currently played video according to the downloading progress and the playing progress of the currently played video.
In this embodiment, after determining the downloading progress and the playing progress of the currently played video in real time, a time difference between the downloading progress and the playing progress is calculated as the remaining playable time of the currently played video.
S240, if the remaining playable time of the currently played video is longer than the remaining download time of the next played video on the basis of the preset smooth play lower limit, the currently played video is downloaded, and the next played video is pre-downloaded at the same time, until the remaining playable time of the currently played video is less than or equal to the preset smooth play lower limit, the pre-download of the next played video is suspended, and only the currently played video is downloaded.
In the technical scheme provided by this embodiment, if the currently played video is not downloaded locally, the corresponding download progress and play progress are determined in real time during the playing process of the currently played video, and at this time, if the remaining playable time of the currently played video is longer than the remaining download time of the next played video on the basis of the preset smooth play lower limit, the next played video is pre-downloaded while the currently played video is downloaded, so as to ensure that the currently played video and the next played video are downloaded synchronously during the playing process of the currently played video, and the next played video can be continuously downloaded without downloading the currently played video after the downloading of the currently played video is completed, so that the next played video can be pre-downloaded as soon as possible, thereby avoiding the playing jam during the switching playing of the video until the remaining playable time of the currently played video is less than or equal to the preset smooth play lower limit, the pre-downloading of the next playing video is suspended, only the current playing video is downloaded, the downloading priority of the current playing video is ensured, the playing jam of the current playing video is avoided, and the playing smoothness of the current playing video is improved.
EXAMPLE III

Specifically, as shown in fig. 3, the present embodiment explains in detail the other steps existing in the video downloading process.
Optionally, as shown in fig. 3, the present embodiment may include the following steps:
s310, determining the current playing video which is appointed to be played by the user playing instruction.
Optionally, the user may select a currently played video at the client to play, for example, by sliding a plurality of short videos to play the video displayed on the current interface, or clicking the collection number currently played in the television scenario, so as to generate a corresponding user playing instruction, and the server analyzes the user playing instruction to determine that the currently played video is specified, so as to subsequently determine whether the currently played video is completely downloaded at the client.
S320, judging whether the downloading of the current playing video is finished, if so, executing S330; if not, go to S340.
S330, playing the downloaded current playing video and only pre-downloading the next playing video.
In this embodiment, if the currently playing video is completely downloaded, the currently playing video that has been downloaded is directly played, and only the next playing video associated with the currently playing video is pre-downloaded.
S340, when the currently playing video that is not downloaded is started to play, suspending the pre-downloading of the next playing video, and downloading only the currently playing video.
Optionally, when it is determined that the currently played video is not completely downloaded, the currently played video is started to be played according to the playing instruction of the user, and at this time, in order to ensure that the currently played video is played as soon as possible, in this embodiment, the pre-downloading of the next played video is firstly suspended, and only the remaining playing content that is not downloaded in the currently played video is downloaded, so that the current network can be completely used for playing and downloading the currently played video, and the playing delay of the currently played video is avoided.
And S350, determining the downloading progress of the uncompleted downloaded currently played video in real time.
And S360, if the downloading progress supports smooth playing of the currently played video and residual pre-downloading of the next played video, pre-downloading the next played video while downloading the currently played video, and suspending the pre-downloading of the next played video until the downloading progress does not support the smooth playing of the currently played video, and only downloading the currently played video.
