Technical Field

Background
Personalized and differentiated services are one of the potential directions for improving the value of the next generation network, and the premise of the personalized services is that a network operator can provide proper end-to-end QoS commitment and QoS guarantee for users. The 3GPP defines a network slicing mechanism: the end-to-end slicing comprises core network, transmission and wireless slicing management. Wherein the resource allocation of the wireless side is a bottleneck of the end-to-end slice; standard support cases: 3GPP R15 defines a framework for network slicing, mainly focusing on the core network side, and does not define enhancements for wireless side slicing. Compared with 4G, slicing is equivalent to a pipeline being more refined, but does not solve a key problem: how fine-grained the operator knows the network capabilities is a prerequisite for the operator to provide the users with the appropriate end-to-end QoS commitments and QoS guarantees. Therefore, a technical solution for acquiring network capability is needed.

According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a network capability determining method, including: the core network configures network capability report information corresponding to the wireless access network and sends the network capability report information to the wireless network side; the wireless network side obtains the capability information of a wireless access network based on the network capability report information and sends the capability information to the core network; and the core network performs corresponding network configuration based on the capability information.

Detailed Description
The present disclosure now will be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which exemplary embodiments of the disclosure are shown. The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present disclosure will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present disclosure, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present disclosure, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments disclosed herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present disclosure.
The existing wireless network adopts the core idea of best effort, and under the mechanism, the real personalized and differentiated services are difficult to provide. Operators need refined knowledge of the end-to-end network capabilities, which is a prerequisite to provide users with appropriate QoS commitments and QoS guarantees. The bottleneck of the end-to-end capability is at the wireless network side, and the core network needs to collect the capability fluctuation process of the wireless network, so as to provide a comprehensive reference view for the end-to-end network capability analysis, the QoS commitment achievement and the QoS commitment guarantee.
Fig. 1 is a schematic flow chart of an embodiment of a network capability determining method according to the present disclosure, as shown in fig. 1:

Through the network capacity determining method provided by the disclosure, the capacity information of the wireless network fluctuating in a specific time window can be obtained. The SMF configures network capability report information and requires a wireless network side to report the network capability information, and the method comprises the following steps: whether the wireless network side can reach the specified QoS index or not; or the lowest QoS index or the highest QoS index which can be supported by the wireless network side; or the wireless network side suggests the supported QoS index; or a combination of the above. QoS metrics include bit rate, delay, reliability, etc. The capability information can adopt a periodic reporting mode, and the reporting period is configured by the system; the network capability information can also adopt an aperiodic report mode, and the report is triggered by the system.
The network capacity determining method provided by the disclosure can solve the problem of wireless network capacity cognition, and can dynamically and finely acquire the end-to-end network capacity, so that appropriate QoS commitment and QoS guarantee become possible.
In one embodiment, the nodes in the wireless network side may be gNB, ng-gNBd, etc. And the node in the wireless network side acquires the current QoS parameter of the wireless access network based on the QoS grade information, wherein the current QoS parameter is at least one of a QoS index which can meet the requirement, a minimum QoS grade which can be met currently, a maximum QoS grade which can be met currently and a suggested QoS grade. And the node carries out format processing on the QoS parameter according to the capability information reported format information to generate capability information. And the node sends the capability information based on the capability information reporting mode information, wherein the mode for sending the capability information is a periodic sending mode or a non-periodic sending mode.

The node periodically generates capability information based on the information transmission interval and transmits the capability information to the SMF, step 302.
In one embodiment, the core network configures corresponding network capability report information to the NG-RAN through the SMF, where the network capability report information includes QoS report parameters, and the QoS report parameters include: NG-RAN reporting period, QoS level, reporting format and the like. The NG-RAN reports whether the QoS grade is met or not according to a specified format according to a specified period; and the SMF performs corresponding network configuration according to the NG-RAN report.
Alternatively, the core network performs the enabling control of the above parameters through the SMF, and the enabling control may be a part of the above QoS parameters or separate signaling. When the enable control is on, or a trigger signaling is sent, the NG-RAN reports whether the QoS class is satisfied in a specified format according to a specified period, or in response to the trigger signaling. And the SMF performs corresponding network configuration according to the NG-RAN report.
The core network configures corresponding network capability report information to the NG-RAN through the SMF, wherein the network capability report information comprises QoS parameters and comprises the following steps: an NG-RAN reporting period, a reporting format and the like; and the NG-RAN reports the lowest QoS grade which can be currently met by the NG-RAN, or the highest QoS grade, or the suggested QoS grade, or the combination of the QoS grades according to a specified format according to a specified period, and the SMF carries out corresponding network configuration according to the NG-RAN report.
Alternatively, the core network performs the enabling control on the above parameters through the SMF. The enable control may be part of the above QoS parameters or be separately signaled. When the enable signaling is on or the trigger signaling is sent, the NG-RAN reports the lowest QoS level which can be met currently by the NG-RAN, or the highest QoS level, or the suggested QoS level according to a specified period or a specified format in response to the trigger signaling. And the SMF performs corresponding network configuration according to the NG-RAN report.
The 3GPP defines a Notification control for GBR Flow to indicate whether the bitrate requirement of the current GBR Flow can be met. In the network capacity determining method in the above embodiment, a capacity identification mechanism is provided to identify a fluctuation process of the network capacity within a specific time window; network capacity awareness oriented to a specific time window, rather than within the current GBR Flow lifecycle; there is no restriction on traffic type, not just GBR Flow; the network capacity determining method in the embodiment aims at refined network capacity cognition and is oriented to various QoS indexes; and various report formats and report contents are supported, and periodic and non-periodic feedback is supported, so that the network can obtain good balance between the fineness of capacity acquisition and the report complexity.
In one embodiment, as shown in fig. 4, the present disclosure provides a network capability determination system, comprising: a core network device 41 and a radio network side node 42.
The core network device 41 configures network capability report information corresponding to the radio access network, and sends the network capability report information to the radio network side. The radio network side node 42 obtains the capability information of the radio access network based on the network capability report information, and sends the capability information to the core network. The core network device 41 performs corresponding network configuration based on the capability information.
The core network device includes: session management function SMF, etc.; the SMF configures network capability report information, wherein the network capability report information comprises: capability information reporting mode information, QoS level information, capability information reporting format information and the like. The wireless network side node 42 obtains the current QoS parameter of the wireless access network based on the QoS class information, wherein the current QoS parameter is at least one of a QoS index that can meet the requirement, a minimum QoS class that can be currently satisfied, a maximum QoS class that can be currently satisfied, and a suggested QoS class. And the wireless network side node 42 performs format processing on the QoS parameters according to the capability information reporting format information to generate capability information.
The wireless network side node 42 sends the capability information based on the capability information reporting mode information, wherein the mode for sending the capability information is a periodic sending mode or a non-periodic sending mode. If the mode of sending the capability information is the aperiodic sending mode, the wireless network side node 42 obtains the trigger signaling information based on the capability information reporting mode information. Upon receiving the trigger signaling sent by the SMF, the radio network side node 42 generates capability information and sends the capability information to the SMF.
If the mode of sending the capability information is a periodic sending mode, the wireless network side node 42 obtains an information sending interval based on the capability information reporting mode information. The radio network side node 42 periodically generates capability information based on the information transmission interval and transmits the capability information to the SMF.
Fig. 5 is a block diagram of one embodiment of a network capability determination system according to the present disclosure. As shown in fig. 5, the apparatus may include a memory 51, a processor 52, a communication interface 53, and a bus 54. The memory 51 is used for storing instructions, the processor 52 is coupled to the memory 51, and the processor 52 is configured to execute the network capability determination method implemented above based on the instructions stored in the memory 51.
The memory 51 may be a high-speed RAM memory, a non-volatile memory (non-volatile memory), or the like, and the memory 51 may be a memory array. The storage 51 may also be partitioned and the blocks may be combined into virtual volumes according to certain rules.
