Each network device may then serve at least one cell; different network devices may also serve the same cell.
The technical scheme of the invention will be described in detail by a specific embodiment in combination with the network equipment from the point of view of the terminal equipment.
Example 1
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a flowchart of an RRC connection release method based on a terminal device according to an embodiment of the present invention; as shown in fig. 1, the terminal device-based RRC connection release method may include:
101. and the terminal equipment acquires the establishment reason for establishing the RRC connection when establishing the RRC connection between the terminal equipment and the network equipment.
When the terminal device uses a network (such as information transmission, network voice call, etc.), the terminal device needs to complete data interaction with the network device. For example, the embodiment of the invention can be applied to a radio access network, wherein the radio access network comprises at least one network device, and the network device can correspond to one cell and only provide service for the corresponding cell. The terminal equipment resides in a certain cell and needs to complete data interaction with the network equipment serving the resident cell.
As an alternative implementation manner, when the terminal device needs to perform data interaction with the network device, an RRC connection establishment request is sent to the network device, and a message returned by the network device to agree to establish an RRC connection is received, so as to establish the RRC connection between the terminal device and the network device.
Further, after obtaining a message returned by the network device and agreeing to establish the RRC connection, the terminal device completes the establishment of the RRC connection between the terminal device and the network device, and simultaneously obtains the establishment reason for establishing the RRC connection. It will be appreciated that the reasons for establishing an RRC connection include signaling, voice calls, video calls, short message transmissions, etc.
102. And the terminal equipment starts a first timing when the establishment cause is not a first specific cause, wherein the first specific cause indicates that the terminal equipment is used for realizing voice call or video call.
It will be appreciated that when the terminal device needs to communicate with voice or video, it needs to keep the RRC connection in a connected state for a long time, and this may not be used as special processing.
The first item of timing may be to start the third timer, set a timing value of the third timer, and use the timing value of the third timer as the first preset value. The first preset value is set according to the experience value, so that the time that the terminal equipment can normally transmit and receive data can be accurately reflected, namely, the terminal equipment can normally transmit and receive data in the first preset value can be ensured.
103. And the terminal equipment disconnects the RRC connection when the timing value of the first timing meets a first preset value.
And when the timing value of the first timing meets a first preset value, actively disconnecting the RRC connection to reduce the power consumption of the terminal equipment.
As an optional implementation manner, when the timing value of the first timing meets the first preset value, the terminal device further monitors the data traffic of the RRC connection, and if no data traffic is monitored on the RRC connection or no data traffic is monitored on the RRC connection within a preset duration, the RRC connection is disconnected.
104. The terminal device reestablishes the RRC connection between it and the network device and sends a connection release request to the network device.
Through step 104, an RRC connection can be reestablished first, and network desynchronization caused by disconnection of the RRC connection can be avoided, so that it is ensured that paging information of the network device can be timely received, and normal transceiving of data traffic is ensured to the greatest extent.
105. The terminal equipment receives the RRC connection release message sent by the network equipment and releases the re-established RRC connection according to the RRC connection release message.
If the first timing is implemented by using the third timer, after the RRC connection is released, the timing of the third timer is stopped and a clear operation is performed on the third timer.
Implementing the above embodiment, when establishing an RRC connection between a terminal device and a network device, the terminal device acquires an establishment cause of the RRC connection, if the establishment cause is not a first specific cause for implementing a voice call or a video call, then starts a first timing, disconnects the RRC connection when a timing value of the first timing satisfies a first preset value, then reestablishes the RRC connection between the terminal device and the network device, then sends a connection release request to the network device, and finally releases the reestablished RRC connection when receiving an RRC connection release message sent by the network device for the connection release request; it can be seen that when the terminal device analyzes the establishment cause of the RRC connection and the established RRC connection is not for implementing a voice call or a video call, the terminal device actively and timely disconnects the RRC connection by timing calculation when a certain time is satisfied, so as to achieve the purpose of saving power consumption of the terminal device, improve the standby capability of the terminal device, i.e. prolong the service time of the terminal device.
Example two
Referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a flowchart of an RRC connection release method according to another embodiment of the present invention; as shown in fig. 2, the terminal device-based RRC connection release method may include:
201. and the terminal equipment acquires the establishment reason for establishing the RRC connection when establishing the RRC connection between the terminal equipment and the network equipment.
When the establishment cause is the first specific cause, the process is not performed, and the process is ended. The first specific cause indicates to implement a voice call or a video call.
202. And when the establishment cause is not the first specific cause, the terminal equipment starts the first timer and sets the timing value of the first timer.
Wherein step 202 is completed and the process goes to step 203 or step 204.
As an alternative implementation manner, when the establishment cause is not the first specific cause, the first timer is started, and the first timer may be used to calculate the time given in the network protocol for releasing the RRC connection, for example, it may take 10 seconds for the general network to release the RRC connection after the RRC connection is established, so in an embodiment of the present invention, the first timer may be set for a similar time, and the timing value of the first timer may be set correspondingly, for example, N2 seconds, for example, N2 may be set to be 10.
The timing value is set corresponding to the timer and is used for triggering a corresponding event, for example, the timing value of the first timer is N1, for example, N1 is 10 seconds, that is, after the first timer is started for timing, if the timing value of the first timer meets 10 seconds, that is, when the timing value is reached, the corresponding event is triggered.
203. And the terminal equipment releases the RRC connection when the timing value of the first timer meets the timing value.
The normal RRC connection is released by setting a first timer, and when the timing value of the first timer meets the timing value, the RRC connection is released, the timing of the first timer is stopped, and the first timer is cleared. It should be further noted that, at this time, if the second timer and/or the third timer are also in the on state, then it is further required to stop the operation of the second timer and/or the third timer, and perform a zero clearing operation on the second timer and/or the third timer, so as to ensure that timing from zero can be started after the next start.
204. The terminal device determines whether the establishment cause is a second specific cause, the second specific cause indicating for transmitting signaling. Wherein, when the establishment cause is not the second specific cause, the process goes to step 205, and when the establishment cause is the second specific cause, the process goes to step 209.
205. The terminal device starts the first item of timing.
The first item of timing may be to start the third timer, set a timing value of the third timer, and use the timing value of the third timer as the first preset value. The first preset value is set according to the experience value, so that the time that the terminal equipment can normally transmit and receive data can be accurately judged, namely, the terminal equipment can normally transmit and receive data in the first preset value can be ensured.
206. The terminal equipment judges whether the timing value of the first timing meets a first preset value. Wherein, when the first preset value is satisfied, turning to step 207, otherwise, turning to step 206.
207. The terminal device disconnects the established RRC connection.
208. The terminal device reestablishes the RRC connection between it and the network device and sends a TAU request to the network device.
It will be appreciated that the terminal device re-establishes the RRC connection for the purpose of signaling, i.e. sending the TAU request.
209. The terminal device receives a TAU Accept (TAU Accept) message sent by the network device.
210. The terminal device starts the second item of timing.
Wherein, starting the second item of timing may be to start the second timer and set a timing value of the second timer, and take the timing value of the second timer as a second preset value. The second preset value is set according to an experience value, so as to accurately judge that the terminal equipment can normally send the signaling, and particularly set according to the size of the signaling.
It should be noted that, the timing value of the first timer is greater than the timing value of the second timer, the timing value of the first timer is greater than the timing value of the third timer, and the timing value of the second timer may be equal to the timing value of the third timer or the timing value of the second timer may not be equal to the timing value of the third timer.
211. The terminal device determines whether the timing value of the second timing meets a second preset value, wherein when the second preset value is met, the step is turned to 207, otherwise, the step is turned to 211.
212. And the terminal equipment releases the established RRC connection according to the RRC connection release message when receiving the RRC connection release message sent by the network equipment.
It will be appreciated that after the RRC connection is re-established, the RRC connection will be released when an RRC connection release message is received at any point in time, and if the first timer has not been stopped at this time, the timing of the first timer is stopped and the first timer is cleared.
After receiving the RRC connection release message, the RRC connection is released, and at this time, if the first timer, the second timer, and the third timer are still in an operating state, the operations thereof are stopped, and a zero clearing process is performed.
In the above embodiment, when the established RRC connection is not for implementing a voice call or a video call, the terminal device actively and timely disconnects the RRC connection by timing calculation when a certain time is satisfied, so as to achieve the purpose of saving power consumption of the terminal device, and improve standby capability of the terminal device, that is, prolong service duration of the terminal device.
Example III
Referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 is a flowchart of an RRC connection release method according to another embodiment of the present invention; as shown in fig. 3, the terminal device-based RRC connection release method may include:
301. the terminal device acquires the establishment cause of the established RRC connection.
302. And when the establishment cause is not voice call or video call, the terminal equipment detects whether the first timer is in an activated state, wherein when the first timer is in the activated state, the step 304 is shifted, and otherwise, the step 303 is shifted.
303. The terminal device starts a first timer and sets a timing value of the first timer.
Where step 303 is performed, the process goes to step 304 or 306.
304. The terminal device determines whether the timing value of the first timer satisfies the timing value thereof. Wherein, if satisfied, the process goes to step 305, otherwise, the process goes to step 304.
305. The terminal device releases the RRC connection.
306. The terminal equipment further judges whether the establishment cause is used for transmitting signaling; if yes, go to step 310, otherwise, go to step 307.
307. The terminal device starts the third timer and sets the timing value of the third timer.
308. The terminal device determines whether the timing value of the third timer meets the timing value, wherein if yes, step 309 is written, otherwise, step 308 is proceeded to.
309. The terminal device disconnects the RRC connection.
After the terminal device disconnects the RRC connection, it is necessary to stop the third timer and perform a zero clearing operation on the third timer, so as to ensure that the third timer can start to count from zero when the terminal device is started next time. At this time, the first timer is still in a normal operation state, i.e., an activated state.
310. The terminal device reestablishes the RRC connection between it and the network device and sends a TAU request to the network device.
311. The terminal equipment receives the ATU acceptance message sent by the network equipment.
312. The terminal device starts the second timer and sets the timing value of the second timer.
It should be noted that, when the second timer is started, the timing value is zero.
As an alternative embodiment, if the establishment cause is a signaling cause, the second timer is started when a tracking area update accept message or an attach accept message (such as an attach/tau accept message) sent by the network device is received. In this embodiment, for establishing an RRC connection for signaling, after receiving a tracking area update accept message or an attach accept message sent by a network device, a corresponding timer is set for timing release of the RRC connection, so as to increase a standby duration of the terminal device.
313. The terminal device determines whether the timing value of the second timer meets its timing value, wherein if yes, it goes to step 309, otherwise it goes to step 313.
314. And the terminal equipment releases the established RRC connection according to the RRC connection release message when receiving the RRC connection release message sent by the network equipment.
It will be appreciated that after re-establishing the RRC connection, the RRC connection will be released when an RRC connection release message is received at any point in time. After the RRC connection is released, the timing of the second timer is stopped, and a clear operation is performed on the second timer. Meanwhile, if the first timer does not stop working at the moment, stopping timing of the first timer and resetting the first timer.
It can be seen from the above embodiment that the terminal device actively disconnects the RRC connection first, so as to achieve the purpose of saving power consumption of the terminal device, and improve standby capability of the terminal device, that is, prolong service life of the terminal device.
Example IV
Referring to fig. 4, fig. 4 is a schematic structural diagram of a terminal device according to an embodiment of the present invention; as shown in fig. 4, the terminal device may include: acquisition unit 410, timing unit 420, connection processing unit 430, and communication unit 440.

Further, after obtaining the message returned by the network device to agree to establish the RRC connection, the establishing unit completes the establishment of the RRC connection between the terminal device and the network device, and at the same time, triggers the acquiring unit 410 to acquire the establishment cause of establishing the RRC connection. It will be appreciated that the reasons for establishing an RRC connection include signaling, voice calls, video calls, short message transmissions, etc.
Implementing the above terminal device, when establishing an RRC connection between the terminal device and the network device, the terminal device acquires an establishment cause of the RRC connection, if the establishment cause is not a first specific cause for implementing a voice call or a video call, then starts a first timing, disconnects the RRC connection when a timing value of the first timing satisfies a first preset value, then reestablishes the RRC connection between the terminal device and the network device, then sends a connection release request to the network device, and finally releases the reestablished RRC connection when receiving an RRC connection release message sent by the network device; it can be seen that when the terminal device analyzes the establishment cause of the RRC connection and the established RRC connection is not for implementing a voice call or a video call, the terminal device actively and timely disconnects the RRC connection by timing calculation when a certain time is satisfied, so as to achieve the purpose of saving power consumption of the terminal device, improve the standby capability of the terminal device, i.e. prolong the service time of the terminal device.
