The evaporative cooling fan is characterized by comprising a protection device and a control switch (9), wherein the protection device comprises a first rod body (1), a curtain cloth (2) and a driving assembly, the first rod body (1) is used for being transversely arranged in a wet curtain installation area of the evaporative cooling fan, the first rod body (1) is fixed on a shell (8) of the evaporative cooling fan, and the first rod body (1) is positioned at one side, close to an air outlet, of a top water outlet of the evaporative cooling fan; the curtain cloth (2) is hung on the first rod body and can slide along the first rod body; the driving assembly is used for driving the curtain cloth (2) to slide along the first rod body (1) so as to enable the curtain cloth (2) to be unfolded or folded, when the curtain cloth (2) is in an unfolded state, the position of the curtain cloth is positioned between the water outlet and the main body of the evaporative cooling fan, and when the curtain cloth (2) is arranged to have a certain angle, the curtain cloth (2) is used for guiding water flow to a water tank below; when the evaporation type cooling fan is provided with a wet curtain, the wet curtain triggers the control switch (9), the control switch (9) sends a signal to the driving assembly, and the driving assembly drives the curtain cloth (2) to slide along the first rod body (1) and retract; when the evaporation type cooling fan is not provided with a wet curtain, the driving assembly drives the curtain cloth (2) to slide along the first rod body (1) and open.

An evaporative cooling fan according to claim 1, wherein the drive assembly comprises a motor (3), external threads (101) formed on the first lever body (1), a mounting member (4) screwed with the first lever body (1), and a rotation restricting member, the motor (3) drives the first lever body (1) to rotate, one end of the curtain cloth (2) is fixed on the mounting member (4), and the rotation restricting member is used for restricting the rotational freedom degree of the mounting member (4).

Evaporative cooling fan according to claim 2, characterized in that the rotation constraint comprises a slider (401) shaped on the mount (4) and a runner (5) for being provided on the evaporative cooling fan, the runner (5) being parallel to the first lever body (1) and the slider (401) being limited in sliding in the runner (5).
4. Evaporative cooling fan according to claim 2, characterized in that the mounting (4) is formed with hooks (402) for hanging the curtain (2).

Evaporative cooling fan according to claim 2, characterized in that the end of the output shaft of the motor (3) is formed with a projection (301), one end of the first rod body (1) is formed with a groove (102) matching with the projection (301), and the projection (301) is inserted into the groove (102).

Evaporative cooling fan according to claim 1, characterized in that it further comprises a second rod (6), the second rod (6) being arranged transversely to the wet curtain installation area of the evaporative cooling fan, the lower end of the curtain (2) being slidingly connected to the second rod (6).
7. Evaporative cooling fan according to claim 6, characterized in that the curtain (2) is mounted on the first (1) and second (6) pole bodies by means of lifting rings (7).
8. Evaporative cooling fan according to claim 1, characterized in that the control switch (9) is fixed to the housing (8) by means of a snap-in (10).
9. The control method of an evaporative cooling fan as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 8, comprising the steps of:
detecting whether the evaporative cooling fan is provided with a wet curtain or not;
if the evaporation type cooling fan is not provided with a wet curtain, the driving assembly drives the curtain to slide along the first rod body and expand when the evaporation type cooling fan is started;
if the evaporative cooling fan is provided with a wet curtain, when the evaporative cooling fan is started, the driving assembly drives the curtain to slide along the first rod body and fold.
