Description

Method and system for providing feedback to a vehicle user and vehicle
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to a method and system for providing feedback to a vehicle user and a vehicle having the system.
Background
Each vehicle is used in different ways under different conditions (temperature, dust content, road surface, driving time, etc.) in different places. That is why the vehicle conditions always depend on the way it is driven and used. Drivers are typically unaware of how vehicle damage is linked to their own driving style. One example is when a user idles the vehicle during doing his or her own things to keep the interior warm when the outside temperature is low and cool when the outside temperature is high, but the user is unaware that such behavior may have a detrimental effect on the vehicle.
Modern vehicles are mostly equipped with a plurality of sensors to acquire data about the state of the art (e.g. by means of a vehicle diagnostic system (OBD)) and the vehicle environment (e.g. location, other vehicles, weather). These data can be collected and analyzed.
From the prior art, various technical solutions are known, for example, to provide feedback to the driver about the fuel consumption or the driving environment of the vehicle and to prompt the driver to comply with traffic regulations (safety).
For example, a feedback system for use in a vehicle is known from DE 102013000131 a1, which comprises a plurality of context sensors for detecting context data relating to one or more contexts to which the vehicle is subjected while driving. The feedback system further comprises a context analysis unit for analyzing the context by means of the context data and obtaining a context analysis result and for providing feedback to the driver of the vehicle depending on the context analysis result. The driver is thereby advised in terms of safety or environmental friendliness to improve his driving style.
A system for providing feedback to the driver is known from US 9,129460B2, which monitors selected vehicle parameters while the vehicle is being driven and compares the actual values of these obtained parameters with predetermined thresholds. When the threshold is exceeded, a mentoring message is provided to the driver to enable the driver to correct his or her operation violation. Thereby improving the safety of the vehicle driving.
EP 2312552 a2 discloses a method for training a driver of a vehicle, which monitors a location of the vehicle when driven by the driver and a parameter which is dependent on the vehicle when driven by the driver, generates a driver profile using the location and the parameter, and uses the driver profile to provide feedback to the driver. Safety, economy and the resulting pollution can thereby be improved.
These solutions of the prior art improve road safety and environmentally friendly driving performance, but do not solve the problem of drivers who do not know the condition of the vehicle itself. These solutions do not involve the beneficial use of the vehicle itself.
For most users, their vehicles remain a "black box" to them. The driver is unaware of why damage is caused to the vehicle and the relevance of the damage to maneuvering the vehicle by himself. In addition, many of the beneficial functions of the vehicle itself are not known to the user.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above, it is an object of the present disclosure to provide a method and a system for providing feedback to a vehicle user and a vehicle having the system, with which the vehicle user is better made to use the vehicle he owns.
According to a first aspect, the object is achieved by a method for providing feedback to a vehicle user, comprising: collecting data relating to predetermined vehicle usage behaviors; determining whether a vehicle use behavior is compliant with at least one of the predetermined vehicle use behaviors based on the collected data; when the vehicle using behavior conforms to the at least one preset vehicle using behavior, outputting a reminding message corresponding to the conformed preset vehicle using behavior.
Thus, in accordance with the present disclosure, a vehicle user is "informed" of the relationship of his or her vehicle handling behavior to the effective utilization of vehicle performance and functionality through predetermined vehicle usage behaviors and their corresponding reminder messages, thereby enabling the vehicle user to better utilize his or her own vehicle.
Advantageously, the predetermined vehicle usage behavior can be updated, preferably periodically. In particular, the predefined vehicle usage behavior can be "upgraded" in the air "in a software-like manner, so that the predefined vehicle usage behavior can be continuously expanded, so that the vehicle user can use his own vehicle better.
Advantageously, the predetermined vehicle usage behavior may be defined by at least one vehicle parameter and/or at least one vehicle external parameter. The vehicle parameter may be, for example, a speed magnitude, an acceleration magnitude, an idle duration, a travel distance, an air conditioner compressor on-off condition, and the like, and the vehicle external parameter may be, for example, an ambient temperature, a road condition, a place when the vehicle travels, and the like. These parameters should be associated with the respective scenarios involved in the predetermined vehicle usage behavior. In this regard, a set of parameters consisting of respective parameters defining the predetermined vehicle usage behavior may be stored in the storage device.
Advantageously, the predetermined vehicle usage behaviour may comprise harmful behaviour and/or improvable behaviour capable of damaging the vehicle. In this case, if the predetermined vehicle use behavior that is met is a harmful behavior, the corresponding warning message may be a message that advises the user to stop improper operation or a message that advises the user to regularly check a specific component of the vehicle; if the predetermined vehicle use behavior that is met is an improvable behavior, the corresponding reminder message may be a message that advises the user to turn on a function that is not in use of the vehicle or a message that advises the user to optimize the function.
Within the scope of the present disclosure, the harmful behavior relates in particular to bad habits or wrong operations of the user when maneuvering the vehicle. For example, some vehicle users tend not to decelerate when driving a vehicle through a deceleration strip, and may not be aware that such behavior can cause a significant impact on the tires of the vehicle, thereby causing the tires to "bulge". Therefore, when such harmful behaviors are incorporated into the harmful behaviors according to the present disclosure, it is possible to make the user understand the consequences of the own behaviors and help him to correct the own behaviors.
Within the scope of the present disclosure, behaviors may be improved, particularly in application scenarios involving various functions of the vehicle. Since vehicle users often do not know which functions are present and how to utilize them in their own vehicle, defining improvable behaviors may allow vehicle users to better utilize vehicle advantages. For example, a vehicle user may not know that his vehicle is equipped with a seat heating function or a driving assistance function. In this case, when the vehicle condition permits or should use the seat heating function or the driving assist function, a function activation advice or even a notification of how to activate the function may be provided to the user. It is also possible that the vehicle user may not be aware that the function he is using may perform his function better. The user can thus be informed how to optimize the function.
According to a second aspect, the object is achieved by a system for providing feedback to a user of a vehicle, comprising: a collection device configured to collect data relating to a predetermined vehicle usage behavior; an evaluation device configured to determine, based on the collected data, whether the vehicle usage behavior complies with at least one of the predetermined vehicle usage behaviors; an output device configured to output a reminder message corresponding to the conformed predetermined vehicle use behavior when the vehicle use behavior conforms to the at least one predetermined vehicle use behavior. The system according to the present disclosure has the same advantages as the method according to the present disclosure described above, and is not described in detail herein.
According to a third aspect, the object is also achieved by a vehicle having a system as described above. Advantageously, the system for providing feedback to a user of the vehicle may be integrated in a central control of the vehicle. The vehicle according to the present disclosure has the same advantages as the method according to the present disclosure described above, and will not be described herein again.
In a fourth aspect of the disclosure, the disclosure provides a computer-readable storage medium having a computer program stored thereon, wherein the computer program is executed by a processor to implement the method according to the first aspect as described above.
In a fifth aspect of the present disclosure, the present disclosure provides an electronic device comprising a memory, a processor and a computer program stored on the memory and executable on the processor, characterized in that the computer program is executed by the processor to implement the method according to the first aspect as described above.

Detailed Description
Specific embodiments of the present disclosure are described herein with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, it is to be understood that the disclosed embodiments are merely exemplary of the disclosure and may be embodied in various forms. Specific structural and functional details disclosed herein are not intended to be limiting, but merely to teach one skilled in the art to variously employ the present disclosure in virtually any appropriately detailed structure. The same reference numbers may be used throughout the description to refer to similar or identical elements.
Specific embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 shows a schematic diagram of a system for providing feedback to a vehicle user according to the present disclosure. As can be seen from fig. 1, the system 100 comprises a collecting device 101, an evaluation device 102 and an output device 103.
The collection device 101 may be configured for collecting data related to predetermined vehicle usage behaviors. The evaluation device 102 may be configured for determining, based on the collected data, whether the vehicle usage behavior corresponds to at least one of the predetermined vehicle usage behaviors. The output device 103 may be configured to output a reminder message corresponding to the conformed predetermined vehicle use behavior when the vehicle use behavior conforms to the at least one predetermined vehicle use behavior.
In the case of this data, the individual modules of the vehicle would otherwise collect and generate a large amount of data during operation of the vehicle, which could be transmitted via the bus. Therefore, the system according to the present disclosure can easily acquire various data required for it, for example, by reading and/or processing data from the respective modules, thereby allowing the evaluation device to evaluate the vehicle use behavior of the vehicle user.
The predetermined vehicle usage behavior may be defined by at least one vehicle parameter and/or at least one vehicle external parameter and may be updated, preferably periodically, for example by a vehicle dealer or a third party, for example by remote transmission, in particular may be "upgraded on the air".
The parameter sets, which are composed of the respective parameters defining the predetermined vehicle usage behavior, constitute various behavior scenarios and may be stored in a storage device. The storage device may be the vehicle's own memory, but may also be a separate memory.
The predetermined vehicle use behavior may include harmful behavior that can damage the vehicle and/or improvable behavior. Some examples of predetermined vehicle usage behaviors and their corresponding reminder messages are listed below.
Example one:
if the ambient temperature is below zero degrees centigrade (e.g., in winter) and the vehicle is in this case driven a short distance (e.g., less than 1 kilometer) each time for a number of consecutive days (e.g., more than three days), the vehicle user may be alerted that such activity may adversely affect the vehicle engine, particularly the generation of soot on the engine, and/or may be alerted that the vehicle user recommends regular inspection or maintenance of the engine if such activity continues.
Example two:
if idling is often done for long periods of time, such as without shutting down the engine, the vehicle user may be alerted to the adverse effects on the engine system, on the lubrication of the engine, and on the engine assembly.
Example three:
if the air conditioning compressor used for cooling and dehumidification is frequently switched off and therefore remains switched off and windowed for a long period of time (since vehicle users often think that such an action can reduce fuel consumption), the vehicle user can be reminded that such an action will increase fuel consumption.
Example four:
if the user does not use the automatic air conditioning mode and selects internal circulation plus no selection to send air to the windshield in the air conditioning delivery setting and the ambient temperature is low (e.g., in winter), the vehicle user may be alerted that the vehicle windshield may be fogged and advised that the vehicle user select the external air circulation mode and select to send air to the windshield.
Example five:
if the ambient temperature is low (e.g., during winter) and the seat heating is not on, the vehicle user may be advised to turn the seat heating on.
Example six:
if the vehicle is driven on a highway with a relatively uniform and smooth driving speed and the driving assistance function is not turned on, the vehicle user may be advised to turn on the driving assistance function.
For examples one through three, it pertains to adverse behavior that can damage the vehicle. For examples four through six, it pertains to modifiable behavior without using existing functions of the vehicle.
For the evaluation process of the evaluation device 102, taking the above-described sixth example as an example, as shown in fig. 3, the evaluation device 102 may collect data from the driving assistance module (ADAS)10, the navigation module 20, and the engine control module 30 of the vehicle, respectively. If the evaluation means 102 knows from these data that the driving assistance function is not switched on, that the vehicle is running on a motorway and that the running speed of the vehicle remains substantially unchanged, the evaluation means 102 may determine that the current vehicle usage behavior corresponds to one of the predetermined vehicle usage behaviors stored in the storage means, and the evaluation means 102 may trigger the output means 103. Then, the output device may output a warning message corresponding to the one of the predetermined vehicle use behaviors that is met, in which case a warning message that suggests turning on the driving assistance function is output.
Additionally, the system 100 for providing feedback to a vehicle user according to the present disclosure may be advantageously integrated into a central control of the vehicle.
A method 200 for providing feedback to a vehicle user according to the present disclosure is described below with reference to fig. 2.
In step 201, data relating to predetermined vehicle usage behaviors is collected. Taking the second example above as an example, data is collected regarding the parameter "engine idle time".
In step 202, it is determined whether the vehicle usage behavior complies with at least one of the predetermined vehicle usage behaviors based on the collected data. Taking the second example described above as an example, it is determined whether the length of the "engine idle time" corresponds to the "long idling" (for example, more than 1 hour).
In step 203, when the vehicle using behavior conforms to the at least one predetermined vehicle using behavior, outputting a reminding message corresponding to the conformed predetermined vehicle using behavior. Taking the second example as an example, when the idle time of the engine meets the condition of long idle time, a warning message that the idle time is too long and the engine is charred is output.
The present disclosure also relates to a computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon the above-described method for providing feedback to a vehicle user according to the present disclosure.
The present disclosure also relates to an electronic device comprising a memory, a processor and the above-described method for providing feedback to a vehicle user according to the present disclosure stored on the memory and executable on the processor. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that any device comprising a memory and a processor and capable of executing programs is referred to herein as an electronic device, including but not limited to: mobile phones, notebook computers, desktop computers, palm top computers (PDAs), portable navigation devices, vehicle-mounted navigation devices, tablet Pcs (PADs), portable multimedia players, smart watches, wearable devices, and the like.
Systems and methods according to the present disclosure may obtain information about individual vehicle usage based on collected data and may analyze such information based on stored predetermined vehicle usage behavior, and may then communicate with the user to remind the user to better use the vehicle and provide advice on how to prevent vehicle damage under different driving styles. In addition, the system according to the present disclosure may identify certain beneficial functions in the vehicle that are not being used by the vehicle user, and these functions can provide benefits to the user. Thus, with the system according to the present disclosure, it is possible to provide information to a vehicle user about his vehicle usage pattern and to help the vehicle user improve his driving style in terms of vehicle health. Moreover, with the system according to the present disclosure, the user can be more aware of the vehicle he is using and can use the vehicle more continuously and efficiently, preventing the vehicle from being damaged in advance, and thus also being able to establish a more intimate relationship between the vehicle and the vehicle user.
While only certain embodiments of the disclosure have been illustrated and described herein, many modifications and changes will occur to those skilled in the art. It is, therefore, to be understood that the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications and changes as fall within the true spirit of the disclosure.
