Description

Method for discovering and configuring Ethernet link layer equipment
Technical Field
The invention relates to a communication technology, in particular to a method for discovering and configuring Ethernet link layer equipment.
Background
With the rapid development and application of ethernet technology, the conventional DDC controller based on RS485 bus in building automation industry is being replaced by the DDC controller based on ethernet interface. The DDC controller based on the ethernet interface generally supports the TCP/IP protocol, and needs to configure information such as an IP address, a subnet mask, a gateway address, and the like, and only after configuring the information, the DDC controller can normally perform networking. Unlike the DDC controller based on the RS485 bus, the DDC controller based on the Ethernet interface cannot simply adopt a dial switch mode to set the information, and the DDC controller rarely provides a man-machine interaction interface with a liquid crystal display screen based on cost consideration, but adopts a network communication mode, and configuration software running on a PC end configures information such as an IP address and the like for the DDC controller through a specific protocol based on TCP/IP.
Based on the requirement that the configuration software running at the PC end and the DDC controller are in the same IP network segment in IP network communication, generally, a manufacturer configures a fixed IP address and a subnet mask for the DDC controller when the DDC controller leaves a factory, and when the DDC controller is deployed on an engineering site, the communication can be realized only by setting the PC where the configuration software is located to be in the same IP network segment.
In an actual engineering project, dozens of DDC controllers are often arranged in a local area network, the DDC controllers are generally installed before a field engineer plans an IP address, IP address conflict is caused due to the fact that factory IP addresses are the same, and configuration software cannot perform point-to-point communication on a certain DDC controller.
In another case, the deployed DDC controllers may be in different IP network segments, and in the conventional method, a plurality of IP network segments are generally set on a PC where configuration software is located, or a manner of multiple network cards is adopted, where each network card is set to a different network segment.
For the above two situations, there is a device search scheme based on the ethernet link layer in the prior art, such as "a cross-network device search and communication method" in the pending patent application No. 201610859757.5. The patent can solve the two problems, namely, the function of searching equipment is realized under the condition of IP address conflict or cross-network section. However, the method described in this patent does not require that the device side broadcasts the message by using the ethernet link layer whose destination addresses are FF, and FF when responding to the search side, and it is not reasonable that the device needs to send the information packet every 30 seconds. Unreasonable in two points: 1. in the patent application, the device cannot respond to the search message in a point-to-point manner, so that other devices in the network cannot receive the meaningless message; 2. in the patent application, the extra network bandwidth is occupied by sending information data packets every 30 seconds in the ethernet local area network, and the number of messages is not limited in consideration of the situation that the number of devices in the local area network is large.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the shortcomings in the prior art, it is an object of the present invention to provide a method for ethernet link layer device discovery and configuration. The technical scheme of the invention is as follows:
a method for Ethernet link layer device discovery and configuration, comprising the steps of:
s1: defining a communication protocol based on an Ethernet link layer;
s2: configuring software to initiate equipment search;
s3: the DDC controller responds to the device searching command;
s4: the configuration software stores and displays the searched DDC controller information;
s5: a user selects a certain searched DDC controller, modifies and issues configuration;
s6: the DDC controller stores the new configuration and responds to the configuration software.
Further, the step S2 further includes: and the configuration software sends a search message to the local area network in an MAC address broadcasting mode.
Further, the step S3 further includes: after receiving the search message, the DDC controller sends a search response message to the search terminal in a point-to-point mode, wherein the search response message comprises equipment MAC address, equipment type, IP address, subnet mask and gateway address information.
Further, the step S4 further includes: and the searching terminal identifies the response message, records the information of all the response DDC controllers by taking the MAC address as a unique identifier, forms an equipment list and presents the equipment list to the user.
Further, the step S5 further includes: the user selects a DDC controller from the device list of the configuration software and modifies the IP address information in a point-to-point mode.
Further, the step S6 further includes: and after receiving the configuration message, the DDC controller stores the configuration information and responds to the configuration software in a point-to-point mode.
Further, in step S1, the type of the "communication protocol" is 0x 8890.
Further, the method is based on the second layer of the TCP/IP protocol, the data link layer.
Compared with the prior art, the invention has the following beneficial effects:
1. the invention adopts a point-to-point response mode when the equipment responds to the search command, thereby avoiding that irrelevant equipment in the network receives meaningless messages.
2. The invention can not send any message at regular time in the network, thus avoiding the occupation of network bandwidth.
3. The invention can find, identify and configure the DDC controller with the Ethernet interface in the local area network, and can still realize the aim even if the IP addresses of the DDC controllers conflict or the DDC controllers cross network segments.

The type of the "communication protocol" is 0x 8890.
S2: configuring software to initiate a device search, further comprising: and the configuration software sends a search message to the local area network in an MAC address broadcasting mode.
The configuration software initiates a device search command, protocol type 0x8890, target address ff: ff: ff: ff: ff, representing an Ethernet link layer broadcast. The ServiceId + servicetypee 0x0101 indicates the "discovery request" command. As shown in fig. 4.
S3: the DDC controller responds to the device search command, further comprising: after receiving the search message, the DDC controller sends a search response message to the search terminal in a point-to-point mode, wherein the search response message comprises equipment MAC address, equipment type, IP address, subnet mask and gateway address information. Wherein:
the DDC controller responds to the configuration software in a point-to-point manner after receiving the discovery request command, which can be done because the MAC address of the configuration software is included in the discovery request command. The protocol type 0x8890, the destination address is the MAC address of the PC where the configuration software is located, and ServiceId + servicetypee ═ 0x0102 indicates the "discovery response" command. The user data includes the IP address, subnet mask, gateway address, device type, and device name information of the device, as shown in fig. 5.
S4: the configuration software stores and displays the searched DDC controller information, and further comprises the following steps: and the searching terminal identifies the response message, records the information of all the response DDC controllers by taking the MAC address as a unique identifier, forms an equipment list and presents the equipment list to the user.
The configuration software stores the responses of all devices on the network and presents the search results in an intuitive manner, as shown in fig. 6.

After receiving the configuration request command, the DDC controller stores the configuration information and responds to the configuration result. The protocol type 0x8890, the destination address is the MAC address of the PC where the configuration software is located, and ServiceId + servicetypee ═ 0x0202 indicates the "configuration response" command. As shown in fig. 9.
The method of the invention is based on the second layer of TCP/IP protocol, namely the data link layer, under the IP layer, the method can cross IP network segments, and can realize the discovery, identification and configuration of the DDC controller even under the condition of IP address conflict.
Aiming at the defects of the prior art, the invention realizes a communication protocol defined on an Ethernet link layer, realizes the method for discovering, identifying and configuring the equipment under the conditions of IP address conflict and cross-network segment, adopts a broadcast search and point-to-point single response mode in the search stage, and adopts a point-to-point configuration mode in the configuration stage, thereby avoiding the network equipment from receiving meaningless messages and effectively reducing the occupation of network bandwidth.
