Detailed Description
As mentioned in the background, there is a disadvantage in entering the download mode when the terminal is powered on, and improvement is needed.
At present, when the terminal enters a download mode and adopts a Strap Pin mode, the level of a Strap Pin signal is judged at the Romcode operation stage of a chip. There are two types of hardware that function as Strap pins: one is to fix a pin of the chip to a pull-up resistor or a pull-down resistor, and then to determine the high-low state of the level by reading the signal of the pin; another method determines the high-low state of the level according to the key state, wherein the key can be other keys besides the open key (i.e. power key) or other combination keys. The Strap Pin mode has the advantages of high efficiency of entering a downloading mode, good reliability and no influence on the starting speed; the disadvantage is that for the terminal with the complete machine shape only having the startup key, the Strap Pin mode cannot be adopted to enter the downloading mode because the exposed Pin is not available.
When the command interaction mode is adopted, the terminal and an upper computer (such as a computer) carry out command interaction at the running stage of the Romcode program executed by the chip. After receiving the appointed instruction for entering the downloading mode, the terminal may enter the downloading mode. The command interaction mode has the advantages that the downloading mode can be entered without depending on an external pin or pressing a key, and the defects that a timeout (timeout) mechanism needs to be set at the terminal, and the terminal needs to wait for the instruction of the upper computer before timeout. Even if the user does not want to enter the download mode but normally powers on the terminal, the terminal must wait for a timeout before executing the normal power-on process, which may cause the power-on time of the terminal to be longer and affect the user experience. The command interaction mode is suitable for special terminals with low starting speed requirements and common terminals without the requirements on the starting speed.
In general, the general terminal has not only a power-on key but also other physical keys, such as volume up/down keys. The terminal is suitable for directly designing a Strap Pin mode to enter a downloading mode. If there is no requirement for starting speed, it can also include supporting Interaction mode. And special terminals such as car-mounted terminals, smart watches and the like usually only have a power-on key, and the terminals are suitable for entering a downloading mode in a command interaction mode.
An embodiment of the present invention provides a user equipment, including: the main chip is provided with a mode selection pin, the level state of the mode selection pin is used for controlling whether the user equipment enters an interactive downloading mode, and under the interactive downloading mode, the user equipment carries out data downloading through instruction interaction with an upper computer.
By adopting the main chip with the mode selection pin provided by the embodiment of the invention, the user equipment can determine whether to adopt an interactive downloading mode according to the mode selection pin, so that the user equipment can quickly determine whether to download data (such as an operating system software version), and the power consumption of the terminal is saved.
In order to make the aforementioned objects, features and advantages of the present invention comprehensible, embodiments accompanied with figures are described in detail below.
The Strap Pin in this document may be a chip Pin, and may be connected with a pull-up resistor or a pull-down resistor, and after a terminal main Chip (CPU) system is powered on, the system is determined to perform a fixing action according to a signal level state of the pull-up resistor or the pull-down resistor. The Strap Pin can also refer to a special key or a combined key, and the system can be determined to do fixed action according to the signal level state after a terminal main Chip (CPU) system is powered on through the special key or the combined key.
The read only memory ROM code, or Romcode, in this context refers to program code that is solidified in the terminal main Chip (CPU) ROM.
Command interaction in this context means that two communication ends of an upper computer (e.g., a computer) and a lower computer (e.g., a terminal) perform communication handshake through protocol instructions to realize some predetermined functions.
A general terminal herein refers to a terminal satisfying one of the following conditions: (1) the whole machine state is provided with more than two keys, the Strap Pin mode including the keys can be judged when the Romcode program is started to run, and whether the download mode is entered or not can be determined according to the signal state output by the Strap Pin Pin, the signal state output by a special key or the signal state output by a combined key; (2) although the terminal complete machine state only has a power-on key (namely a power key), when the Romcode program runs, whether to enter a downloading mode can be determined according to a command interaction mode.
The special terminal in the text means that the whole state of the terminal is only an on-key, and whether the terminal enters a download mode or not can not be judged by using a Strap Pin mode including the key when a Romcode program runs.
The pull-up resistor herein is capable of clamping an indeterminate signal at a high level in an electronic circuit.
The pull-down resistor herein is capable of clamping an indeterminate signal low in an electronic circuit.
The pull-up resistor or the pull-down resistor is referred to an input/output (I/O) port, and the output is similar to a triode collector C. When the triode collector C is connected with a power supply through a resistor, the resistor is called a pull-up resistor, and the I/O port outputs a high-level signal. When the collector C of the transistor is connected to ground through a resistor, referred to as a pull-down resistor, the I/O port will output a low level signal.
Fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of a main chip according to an embodiment of the present invention. The main chip can be used in terminal products such as user equipment and the like as a Central Processing Unit (CPU) of the terminal products.
Referring to fig. 1, a main chip 100 may include a body 101 and a mode selection pin 102. The level state of the mode selection pin 102 is used for controlling whether the user equipment enters an interactive downloading mode, and in the interactive downloading mode, the user equipment performs data downloading through instruction interaction with an upper computer.
The interactive downloading mode refers to downloading data by adopting a command interactive mode based on instructions of the upper computer. In one exemplary embodiment, the data download refers to an operating system software version download. Entering the download mode by the terminal typically refers to the terminal downloading a version of the operating system software.
Fig. 2 is a schematic structural diagram of a user equipment according to an embodiment of the present invention. Referring to fig. 2, the user equipment 200 may include a main chip 100. The main chip 100 has a mode selection pin (not shown in fig. 2), and a level state of the mode selection pin is used to control whether the user equipment enters an interactive download mode, in which the user equipment performs data download through instruction interaction with an upper computer.
Further, the user equipment 200 may further include a pre-configuration circuit 201. The pre-configuration circuit 201 is coupled to a mode selection pin of the main chip 100, and is configured to pre-configure a level state of the mode selection pin to a preset state.
In one embodiment, referring to fig. 3, the preconfigured circuit 201 in the user device 200 may include a pull-up resistor 2011. A first terminal of the pull-up resistor 2011 is connected to a power supply (shown as Vcc) and a mode selection pin (not shown) of the master chip 100, and a second terminal of the pull-up resistor 2011 is grounded.
In another embodiment, referring to fig. 4, the pre-configured circuit 201 in the user device 200 may include a pull-down resistor 2012. A first terminal of the pull-down resistor 2012 is connected to a power supply (shown as Vcc), a second terminal of the pull-down resistor 2012 is connected to the mode selection pin (not shown), and a second terminal of the pull-down resistor 2012 is grounded.
In actual production, on the chip platform hardware reference design, a pull-up resistor or a pull-down resistor reserving position can be reserved at the mode selection pin output. If the final mass-produced user equipment is a special terminal or a common terminal without strict requirements on the speed of the switch, the pull-up resistor or the pull-down resistor can be welded on the mainboard to enable a command interaction mode to carry out downloading during production, and the scheme can be suitable for more terminal forms.
Fig. 5 is a flowchart illustrating a method for controlling start-up of a ue according to an embodiment of the present invention. The start control method is used in the user equipment 200 described in fig. 2 to 4, and a main chip of the user equipment 200 has a mode selection pin.
Specifically, the start control method may include the steps of:
step S501, when a user device is powered on, judging whether a download control signal is received, wherein the download control signal is used for indicating the user device to enter a download mode, and the user device directly downloads data in the download mode;
step S502, if the download control signal is not received, determining whether to enter an interactive download mode according to the level state of the mode selection pin.
More specifically, in step S501, when the user equipment 200 is powered on, the main chip of the user equipment 200 may determine whether a download control signal for instructing the user equipment 200 to enter a download mode is received. In this download mode, the user equipment 200 can directly download data.
It should be noted that, directly downloading data means that whether to enter the download mode or not can be determined according to the download control signal without performing instruction interaction with the upper computer.
The download control signal refers to an output signal of a Strap Pin, or the download control signal refers to an output signal obtained by using a preset key or a preset combination key of the user equipment 200.
In step S502, if the download control signal is not received, the main chip may determine whether to enter an interactive download mode according to the level state of the mode selection pin, that is, determine whether to download data in a command interactive manner.
Further, if it is determined that the command interaction mode is entered, the main chip may wait for receiving a download mode entering instruction within a preset time period, so that the user equipment performs data downloading according to the download mode entering instruction.
In a specific implementation, if the download control signal is not received, the main chip may first detect whether the ue 200 is connected to an upper computer.
In one embodiment, the master chip may detect whether the user equipment 200 is connected to the upper computer through a Universal Serial Bus (USB). It should be noted that USB is the most widely used downloading method for industrial terminals. The USB cable has a simple charging function and also has a data line function, and the USB cable has the data line function when being used for downloading. Once the main chip recognizes that the charger type is a Standard Downlink Port (SDP) or a Charging Downlink Port (CDP), it may preliminarily determine whether the user equipment 200 is connected to the upper computer through the USB.
Secondly, if the detection result indicates that the user equipment 200 is connected to the upper computer, the main chip may determine a level state of the mode selection pin.
Further, when the level state indicates that data downloading is performed in a command interaction mode, the main chip may attempt to enter an interaction downloading mode, otherwise, the main chip may execute a boot process.
Further, if the detection result indicates that the user equipment 200 is not connected to the upper computer, the main chip may execute a boot process.
Further, if the instruction for entering the download mode is not received within the preset time period, the main chip may execute a boot process after timeout.
Fig. 6 is a flowchart illustrating a method for controlling activation of a ue according to another embodiment of the present invention. Referring to fig. 6, first, in step S601, the terminal is powered on, and the master chip executes the Romcode program. Next, in step S602, when the Romcode program is running, the main chip determines whether the Strap Pin signal or the key combination enables downloading, that is, the main chip determines whether the Strap Pin signal or the special key or the combination key enables downloading. If the determination result is that the downloading is enabled, the process goes to step S603, i.e., the downloading mode is entered.
Otherwise, if the judgment result is not to enable downloading, the process goes to step S604, that is, whether the terminal is connected to the upper computer through the USB is detected. If not, the step S605 is executed, namely, a normal starting process is executed; if yes, go to step S606, i.e. determine the level status of the mode selection pin as enabling the interactive download mode.
If the judgment result indicates that the interactive downloading mode is adopted, step S607 is executed, that is, it is judged whether the instruction of entering the downloading mode sent by the upper computer is successfully received. If the instruction of entering the download mode sent by the upper computer is successfully received, the step S603 is turned to, that is, the download mode is entered. It should be noted that the interactive download mode is entered at this time.
Further, if the instruction of entering the download mode sent by the upper computer is not successfully received, the process goes to step S608, that is, it is determined that the waiting time is out. If not, continuing to wait, namely turning to the step S607; if yes, go to step S605, i.e. execute the normal boot process, and the process ends.
In summary, the main chip provided in the embodiments of the present invention may be adapted to a common terminal and a special terminal through a combination of hardware configurations. When the terminal is a common terminal, the hardware design can be configured to enter a downloading mode only by adopting a Strap Pin mode; when the terminal is a special terminal or a common terminal with low requirement on the speed of the open-top, the hardware design can be configured to start an interactive download mode, and the main chip can support to adopt a Strap Pin or a key combination to enter the download mode and can also adopt the interactive download mode. In addition, the main chip can judge whether the interactive downloading mode is supported or not through the level state of the mode selection pin when the USB line is connected with the upper computer, and if no USB line is connected with the upper computer and the terminal, a normal starting process can be executed, so that the influence on the starting speed of the terminal is favorably reduced.
Fig. 7 is a schematic structural diagram of a start control apparatus of a user equipment according to an embodiment of the present invention. The start control device 7 of the user equipment may be configured to control a start process of the user equipment, implement the technical solution of the method shown in fig. 5, and be executed by a main chip of the user equipment.
Specifically, the activation control means 7 may include: the determining module 71 is adapted to determine whether a download control signal is received when the user equipment is powered on, where the download control signal is used to instruct the user equipment to enter a download mode, and in the download mode, the user equipment directly downloads data; a determining module 72, if the download control signal is not received, the determining module 72 is adapted to determine whether to enter an interactive download mode according to the level state of the mode selection pin.
For more details of the operation principle and the operation mode of the start control device 7 shown in fig. 7, reference may be made to the description of the technical solutions in fig. 1 to 6, which is not repeated herein.
Although the present invention is disclosed above, the present invention is not limited thereto. Various changes and modifications may be effected therein by one skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
