Abstract
The invention relates to reconstituted tobacco containing lyocell fibers and a heating non-combustible tobacco product. The reconstituted tobacco comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 0.5-20 wt% of lyocell fiber; and 5-30 wt% of a smoke agent.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of tobacco, in particular to reconstituted tobacco containing lyocell fibers and a heating non-combustible tobacco product.
Background
Reconstituted Tobacco (Reconstituted tobaccos) is a sheet-shaped or filamentous regenerated product prepared by taking Tobacco materials such as Tobacco powder, Tobacco stems, Tobacco shreds and the like as raw materials and combining other fibers and auxiliary materials.
The reconstituted tobacco can be divided into a dry method, a rolling method, a thick paste method, a wet paper-making method and the like according to different processing technologies.
The dry method (also called dry paper-making method) is based on a dry forming technology, plant fibers (wood pulp fibers and the like) are mechanically crushed and processed into a substrate (base paper) by utilizing a dry paper-making airflow forming technology, pulp consisting of tobacco powder, tobacco stem powder, tobacco extract, composite glue and the like is sprayed on the substrate, and the substrate is dried to a set dryness, so that the special reconstituted tobacco is obtained.
A Heat-not-burn tobacco product (Heat-not-burn tobacco product) is a new type of tobacco product, which heats an aerosol-forming substrate without burning it, and generates smoke by volatilization of the aerosol, nicotine and flavor substances in the aerosol-forming substrate.
Disclosure of Invention
The lyocell fiber is creatively used for reconstituted tobacco, the obtained reconstituted tobacco can be used as an aerosol forming substrate of a heating non-combustion tobacco product, the smoke release amount of the heating non-combustion tobacco product during smoking can be obviously increased, and the sensory smoking quality is obviously improved.
In some aspects, a reconstituted tobacco is provided, which comprises the following components in percentage by weight:
0.5 to 20 wt% (e.g. 1 to 5 wt%, e.g. 4 to 8 wt%, e.g. 10 to 12 wt%, e.g. 5 to 15 wt%, e.g. 1.05 to 14.30 wt%) of lyocell fibre; and
5-30 wt% (e.g. 5-10 wt%, e.g. 10-15 wt%, e.g. 13-17 wt%, e.g. 15-20 wt%, e.g. 20-25 wt%, e.g. 25-30 wt%) of a smoke agent.
The weight percentage is calculated by taking the total weight of the reconstituted tobacco as 100 wt%.
In some aspects, reconstituted tobacco is provided comprising, in parts by weight of each component in the reconstituted tobacco
45-75 parts of tobacco raw materials;
0.5-15 parts of lyocell fiber;
additionally adding 5-25 parts of plant fiber;
5-15 parts of a smoke agent; and
3-8 parts of a binder.
In some embodiments, the reconstituted tobacco further comprises one or more of the following: tobacco raw material, additional plant fiber, adhesive and water.
In some embodiments, the remaining other ingredients of the reconstituted tobacco are tobacco raw material, additional plant fiber, a binder, and water.
In some embodiments, the sum of the percentages of the ingredients that make up the reconstituted tobacco is 100 wt%.
In some embodiments, the tobacco material is in a powdered form.
In some embodiments, the additional plant fibers are selected from one or more of bamboo fibers, softwood fibers, hardwood fibers, flax fibers, and grass fibers.
In some embodiments, the binder is selected from one or more of guar gum, xanthan gum, carboxymethyl cellulose, and starch.
In some embodiments, the smoking agent comprises propylene glycol and glycerin.

In some aspects, a method of preparing reconstituted tobacco is provided, comprising the steps of
(1) Preparing a substrate using the fiber composition;
(2) applying a slurry composition to a substrate;
the fiber composition comprises the following raw material components in parts by weight:
additionally adding 5-25 parts of plant fiber, such as 5-10 parts, such as 10-15 parts, such as 15-20 parts, such as 20-25 parts; and
0.5 to 15 parts, for example 0.5 to 5 parts, for example 5 to 10 parts, for example 10 to 15 parts of lyocell fibre;
wherein the slurry composition comprises the following raw material components in parts by weight:
45-75 parts, for example 50-55 parts, for example 55-60 parts of tobacco raw material;
3 to 8 parts, such as 4 to 5 parts, such as 5 to 6 parts, of a binder, and
15-25 parts of smoke agent, such as 15-20 parts, such as 20-25 parts.
In some embodiments, the lyocell fibre is present in the substrate in an amount of from 1 to 70 wt%, such as from 1 to 5 wt%, such as from 5 to 10 wt%, such as from 10 to 20 wt%, such as from 20 to 30 wt%, such as from 30 to 40 wt%, such as from 40 to 50 wt%, such as from 50 to 60 wt%, such as from 60 to 70 wt%, such as from 45 to 65 wt%.
In some embodiments, in step (1), the fibrous composition is used to prepare a substrate by dry air-forming.
In some embodiments, in step (2), the slurry composition is applied to the substrate by coating.
In some embodiments, the above preparation method further comprises the step of (3) drying the substrate to which the slurry is applied.
In some embodiments, the slurry composition is applied to the substrate in multiple applications (e.g., 2-4 applications), each application being followed by a drying operation.
In some embodiments, the tobacco material is in a powdered form.
In some embodiments, the powdered tobacco material is capable of passing through an 80-120 mesh screen.
In some embodiments, the powdered tobacco material cannot pass through a 250-350 mesh screen.
In some embodiments, the additional plant fiber is selected from bamboo fiber, softwood fiber, hardwood fiber, flax fiber, or grass fiber.
In some embodiments, softwood fibers are the product of the disintegration of softwood pulp sheets to a state where the individual fibers are dispersed.
In some embodiments, the binder is selected from guar gum, xanthan gum, carboxymethyl cellulose, or starch.
In some embodiments, the reconstituted tobacco is in the form of a sheet or a thread.
In some aspects, a heated non-combustible smoking article is provided comprising a reconstituted tobacco according to any one of the above.

Interpretation of terms
The present disclosure, if the following terms are used, may have the following meanings
The term "tobacco material" is selected from one or more of tobacco leaves, stems, tobacco dust.
The term "heat not burn smoking article" refers to a type of smoking article that heats a cartridge containing an aerosol generating substrate during use and retains the cartridge in heat but not ignited.
Lyocell (Lyocell) is a regenerated cellulose fiber produced by dissolving lignocellulose in an aqueous solution of N-methyloxymorphone (NMMO for short) and then carrying out wet spinning.
The plant fiber is produced by processing bamboo, wood, flax, grass and other plant material into pulp board chemically or mechanically, and crushing and defibering to disperse the single fiber basically. Wherein the chemical method can comprise a caustic soda method, a sulfate method or a sulfite method and the like; mechanical pulp may include groundwood pulp, refiner mechanical pulp, thermomechanical pulp, or the like.

Embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail below with reference to examples, but those skilled in the art will appreciate that the following examples are only illustrative of the present disclosure and should not be construed as limiting the scope of the present disclosure. The examples, in which specific conditions are not specified, were conducted under conventional conditions or conditions recommended by the manufacturer. The reagents or instruments used are not indicated by the manufacturer, and are all conventional products commercially available.
The following examples and comparative examples used the following raw materials as shown in the table below:

Examples 1 to 3
Raw material formula according to table 2:
(1) putting powdered tobacco raw materials, guar gum and a smoke agent (90 wt% of glycerol and 10 wt% of propylene glycol) into a pulp tank, adding a proper amount of water (45 ℃) and fully stirring to form a coating liquid;
wherein, the powdery tobacco raw material is obtained by the following method: the tobacco raw material (tobacco leaves) is cut into threads, crushed, ground and sieved to obtain powder of 100-300 meshes (namely 100 meshes pass through and 300 meshes do not pass through), namely the powdered tobacco raw material.
(2) Uniformly mixing lyocell fibers and softwood fibers, forming a fiber thin layer by adopting dry airflow forming equipment, spraying a small amount of guar gum, and shaping to obtain a functional substrate;
wherein the softwood fibers are obtained by crushing and defibering softwood fiber pulp boards (coarsely crushed to 1.0-2.0cm by a hammer crusher)2And defiberized to individual fibers with a fine saw-tooth crusher), to obtain a product in which the individual fibers are substantially dispersed with each other.

Comparative examples 1 to 3
Comparative examples 1 to 3 differ from examples 1 to 3 in that lyocell fibers in the raw material were replaced with equal weight of softwood fibers, respectively.
The contents of the respective components of the raw materials and the contents of the smoke agent and lyocell fiber in the products of examples 1 to 3 and comparative examples 1 to 3 are shown in table 2.

In appearance, the reconstituted tobacco products of examples 1 to 3 and comparative examples 1 to 2 were dry in surface and no liquid exuded. The reconstituted tobacco product of comparative example 3 exhibited a small amount of residual glycerin on the surface.
The content of the smoke agent in the reconstituted tobacco products of examples 1 to 3 and comparative examples 1 to 3 was measured according to YC/T243-2008 "gas chromatography for measurement of 1, 2-propanediol and glycerol in tobacco and tobacco products", and the results are shown in table 2.
Item 2: sensory quality (with smoke quantity)
The reconstituted tobacco leaves of the examples 1 to 3 and the comparative examples 1 to 3 are cut into tobacco shreds with the width of 0.8 to 1mm, the tobacco core section of the existing heating non-combustion tobacco product IQOS/Heat sticks in the market is replaced, and the filling amount of the tobacco shreds is 0.19 g/cigarette.
7 professional tobacco smokers were organized, smoked the tobacco products and scored for sensory quality, and the scores were averaged.
The sensory quality is divided into 100 points, the scoring standard refers to GB 5606.4-2005 sensory technical requirement of cigarette part 4, but the sensory quality evaluation of the heating non-combustible tobacco product is mainly scored from the following large indexes: "flue gas temperature (full 20 minutes); the amount of smoke (full 20 min); the number of suction ports (full 20 minutes); the style of aroma (16 points full); satisfaction (8 points of satisfaction); comfort (full 8 points); odor (score 8 full) ", and total score 100. The scoring results are shown in the table below.

As shown in tables 2 and 3, the reconstituted tobacco of examples 1 to 3 used for heating a non-combustible tobacco product did exhibit the following advantageous effects, as compared to comparative examples 1 to 3:
1) the reconstituted tobacco can contain more smoke agent, and the surface is dry without liquid exudation;
2) the reconstituted tobacco is used for heating non-combustible tobacco products, and the smoke amount is higher;
3) the product is used for heating non-combustible tobacco products, and has the advantages of good tobacco fragrance, clean aftertaste and better sensory quality.
The experimental effect can deduce that the lyocell fiber improves the overall performance of the reconstituted tobacco, improves the smoke amount and improves the sensory quality.

Claims (11)
1. The reconstituted tobacco comprises the following components in percentage by weight:
0.5-20 wt% of lyocell fiber;
5-30 wt% of smoke agent.
2. The reconstituted tobacco of claim 1, further comprising one or more of the following: tobacco raw material, additional plant fiber, adhesive and water.
3. Reconstituted tobacco according to claim 2, characterized by one or more of the following:
-the tobacco material is in powder form;
-the additional plant fibres are selected from one or more of bamboo fibres, softwood fibres, hardwood fibres, flax fibres and grass fibres;
-the binder is selected from one or more of guar gum, xanthan gum, carboxymethyl cellulose and starch;
-said smoke agent comprises propylene glycol and glycerin.
4. The reconstituted tobacco according to any one of claims 1 to 3, having a water content of 6 to 10 wt%.
5. The preparation method of the reconstituted tobacco comprises the following steps
(1) Preparing a substrate using the fiber composition;
(2) applying a slurry composition to a substrate;
the fiber composition comprises the following raw material components in parts by weight in reconstituted tobacco:
additionally adding 5-25 parts of plant fiber; and
0.5-15 parts of lyocell fiber; the slurry composition comprises the following raw material components in parts by weight in reconstituted tobacco:
45-75 parts of tobacco raw materials;
3 to 8 parts of a binder, and
15-25 parts of a smoke agent.
6. The method of claim 4, wherein the lyocell fibers are present in the substrate in an amount of 1 to 70 wt% (e.g., 45 to 65 wt%).
7. The method of claim 4, having one or more of the following features:
-in step (1), preparing a substrate from the fiber composition by dry air-forming;
-in step (2), applying the slurry composition to a substrate by means of coating;
the preparation method further comprises the step of (3) drying the substrate to which the slurry is applied.
8. The method of claim 4, having one or more of the following features:
-the tobacco material is in powder form;
-the additional plant fibers are selected from bamboo fibers, softwood fibers, hardwood fibers, flax fibers or grass fibers;
-said binder is selected from guar gum, xanthan gum, carboxymethyl cellulose or starch.
9. A heat non-combustible tobacco product comprising the reconstituted tobacco according to any one of claims 1 to 4.
10. Use of lyocell fibre in the manufacture of reconstituted tobacco.
11. The use according to claim 10, the reconstituted tobacco is reconstituted tobacco for heating a non-combustible tobacco product.
