Abstract

The present specification provides a method and apparatus for testing a wireless network, where the wireless network includes a wireless controller and a wireless access point, and the method includes: sending a test request to the wireless controller, wherein the test request is generated according to test data included in a test case; receiving a configuration request returned by the wireless controller according to the test request, and forwarding the configuration request to the wireless access point; receiving a configuration response returned by the wireless access point according to the configuration request; and determining test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point according to the configuration request and the configuration response. The wireless controller and the wireless access point are subjected to combined test, so that the test time and the test resources are saved.

Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to the field of internet technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for testing a wireless network.
Background
A wireless network system generally includes a wireless controller and a wireless access point. The wireless controller is mainly used to manage wireless access points, which are mainly used to provide access services. In testing a wireless network system, a common test method is to test a wireless controller and a wireless access point separately. This two-test approach takes more test time and consumes more test resources.
Therefore, a test method is needed, which can perform a combined test on the wireless controller and the wireless access point at the same time, and efficiently complete a test plan, so as to save test time and resources.
Disclosure of Invention
At least one embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method for testing a wireless network, which performs a combined test on a wireless controller and a wireless access point, so as to save test time and resources.
In a first aspect, a method for testing a wireless network, where the wireless network includes a wireless controller and a wireless access point, is provided, the method including:
sending a test request to the wireless controller, wherein the test request is generated according to test data included in a test case;
receiving a configuration request returned by the wireless controller according to the test request, and forwarding the configuration request to the wireless access point;
receiving a configuration response returned by the wireless access point according to the configuration request;
and determining test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point according to the configuration request and the configuration response.
In a second aspect, a test apparatus for a wireless network is provided, the wireless network including a wireless controller and a wireless access point; the testing device is respectively connected with the wireless controller and the wireless access point; the test device comprises:
the test request sending module is used for sending a test request to the wireless controller, wherein the test request is generated according to test data included in the test case;
the configuration request processing module is used for receiving a configuration request returned by the wireless controller according to the test request and forwarding the configuration request to the wireless access point;

Reference will now be made in detail to exemplary embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Before a complete wireless network system product is normally used, the performance or stability of the wireless network system needs to be tested, and the wireless network system product can be put into normal use after the test reaches a certain standard. Or in the normal use process of the wireless network system, the reliability or stability of the wireless network needs to be detected frequently, and the fault is eliminated in time, so that the normal operation of the wireless network is ensured. In the related test technology, the wireless controller and the wireless access point are tested separately. This two-test approach takes more test time and consumes more test resources.
In view of the foregoing drawbacks of the testing techniques, the present disclosure, in at least one embodiment, provides a method for testing a wireless network. In the testing process, the interaction information or configuration information of the wireless controller and the wireless access point is collected at the same time, and the combined testing of the wireless controller and the wireless access point is realized by utilizing the collected information. Therefore, the test plan is efficiently completed, and the test time and the test resources are saved.
In order to make the test solution of the wireless network provided in the present specification clearer, the following detailed description of the implementation procedure of the solution provided in the present specification is provided with reference to the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a flowchart of a method for testing a wireless network including a wireless controller and a wireless access point according to an embodiment provided in the present specification. In this embodiment, the complete test of the wireless network, that is, the combined test of the wireless controller and the wireless access point, needs to be performed by executing multiple test cases to complete the test together. Wherein, a test case comprises at least one piece of test data. Test data may be understood as the smallest test execution unit in a test procedure.
The execution body of the embodiment may be an intermediate device that connects the wireless controller and the wireless access point in the wireless network, and the device may be a physical device or may be a virtual module integrated on one side, which is not limited in this specification. In one example, before sending the test request to the wireless controller, the method further comprises: and generating the test case according to the preset test target information. And before the test, carrying out relevant parameter setting on the test according to the test target information, and automatically generating an executable test case. For example, the relevant parameters can be set in advance by a tester, so that the test target information is more controllable, the test reliability of the wireless controller and the wireless access point is improved as a whole, and the accuracy of the wireless network test is improved.
In another example, the test target information includes at least one of: test function point, test parameter combination and value range.
In the above example, the test function point may include radio frequency parameters: radio frequency mode, radio channel, spatial stream, transmit power, channel bandwidth or packet interval, etc.; network parameters may also be included: signal name, encryption mode, speed limit, user authentication, maximum number of users, signal hiding or black-and-white list, etc. The test parameters are specific parameters of each test functional point, for example, the parameters of the transmitting power of 1dbm-20dbm (dbm-decibel, which is a power unit); parameters of channel bandwidth 20Mhz, 40Mhz, 80Mhz or 160Mhz; parameters of packet interval 400ns or 800ns, etc., can be regarded as the test parameters of each test function point. Wherein each test parameter can be arbitrarily combined to form a test parameter combination. The test parameters may be defined in the form of parameter ranges, so that the value ranges are also used as test target information.
Step 102, receiving a configuration request returned by the wireless controller according to the test request, and forwarding the configuration request to the wireless access point.
After receiving the test request, the wireless controller updates and configures the self configuration information according to the test request, and generates a configuration request according to the self configuration updating information so that the wireless access point can correspondingly update and configure the configuration, thereby ensuring the normal connection between the wireless controller and the wireless access point and ensuring the normal operation of the whole wireless network. In this step, a configuration request sent by the wireless controller is received and stored, and the test request is forwarded to the wireless access point.
Step 103, receiving a configuration response returned by the wireless access point according to the configuration request.
After receiving the configuration request, the wireless access point correspondingly configures configuration information of the wireless access point according to the configuration request, and simultaneously generates and returns a configuration response.
And 104, determining test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point according to the configuration request and the configuration response.
In one example, in step 101, after the sending a test request to the wireless controller, the method further includes: and receiving the controller configuration returned by the wireless controller, wherein the controller configuration is information of the wireless controller configured according to the test request. After receiving the test request, the wireless controller generates and returns a configuration request according to the test request; meanwhile, the configuration information is updated according to the test request. In this example, after receiving the test request, the wireless controller also returns configuration information corresponding to the update.
Correspondingly, in step 104, the determining, according to the configuration request and the configuration response, a test result of the wireless controller and the wireless access point includes: and determining the test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point according to the controller configuration, the configuration request and the configuration response. In this example, by acquiring the controller configuration, the configuration request and the configuration response of the wireless access point of the wireless controller, the test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point are determined together by integrating three factors, the test results of the wireless network are determined, and the test reliability is improved.
The configuration response in the above embodiment or example may include: the wireless access point carries out configuration information according to the configuration request, and/or the wireless access point corresponds to a configuration result returned by the configuration request. The configuration response returned by the wireless access point according to the configuration request can include: the wireless access point carries out configuration information according to the corresponding configuration request; alternatively, it includes: the wireless access point responds to the configuration response returned by the configuration request; alternatively, it includes: the wireless access point carries out configuration according to the information of the configuration request and the configuration response returned by the wireless access point corresponding to the configuration request. The configuration response returned by the wireless access point can comprise information of success or failure of the response of the corresponding configuration request; or, configuration information of the wireless access point corresponding to the configuration request may be further included.
The configuration response of the wireless access point may include configuration information and configuration response of the wireless access point, or may further include other information of more wireless access points. Thereby improving the reliability of the wireless access point test and the reliability of the wireless network test.
According to the wireless network testing method, the combined test of the wireless controller and the wireless access point is achieved by collecting the configuration request of the wireless controller and the configuration response returned by the wireless access point corresponding to the wireless request. And in one test process, the common test of the wireless controller and the wireless access point is realized, the test efficiency of the wireless network is improved, and the test time and the test resources are saved.
For a specific implementation of step 104 in fig. 1, reference may be made to the flow shown in fig. 2, which includes the following steps:

A test procedure for a wireless network generally needs to be completed by executing a plurality of test cases. And the execution results of the plurality of test cases form a test case result set of one-time wireless network test. According to the result set of the test case, the test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point can be analyzed and determined, so that the test results of the wireless network can be determined. For example, the test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point may be determined according to the proportion of successful execution of all test cases in one wireless network test, and the test results of the wireless network may be determined.
In the above embodiment, the execution result of one test case is determined according to the execution results of a plurality of test data, and then the test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point in one test are analyzed and determined according to the execution results of a plurality of test cases, so as to determine the test result of the corresponding wireless network. In the result determining mode, the two-side result determination comprises a plurality of execution results, so that the test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point are more reliable, and the test results of the whole wireless network are more reliable.

The test device may include: a test request transmitting module 301, a configuration request processing module 302, a configuration response receiving module 303, and a test result management module 304. and the test result management module 304 is configured to determine a test result of the wireless controller and the wireless access point according to the configuration request and the configuration response.
