Abstract

The present specification provides a method and an apparatus for testing a wireless network, the wireless network including a wireless controller and a wireless access point, the method including: sending a test request to the wireless controller, wherein the test request is generated according to test data included in a test case; receiving a configuration request returned by the wireless controller according to the test request, and forwarding the configuration request to the wireless access point; receiving a configuration response returned by the wireless access point according to the configuration request; and determining the test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point according to the configuration request and the configuration response. The wireless access point and the wireless controller are tested in a combined mode, and testing time and resources are saved.

Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to the field of internet technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for testing a wireless network.
Background
A wireless network system generally includes a wireless controller and a wireless access point. The wireless controller is mainly used to manage the wireless access points, and the wireless access points are mainly used to provide access services. When testing a wireless network system, a common test method is to separately test a wireless controller and a wireless access point. This approach, which requires two tests, costs more test time and consumes more test resources.
Therefore, a testing method is needed, which can simultaneously perform a combined test on a wireless controller and a wireless access point, and efficiently complete a testing plan, so as to save testing time and resources.
Disclosure of Invention
At least one embodiment of the present specification provides a method for testing a wireless network, which performs a combined test on a wireless controller and a wireless access point to save test time and resources.
In a first aspect, a method for testing a wireless network is provided, where the wireless network includes a wireless controller and a wireless access point, and the method includes:
sending a test request to the wireless controller, wherein the test request is generated according to test data included in a test case;
receiving a configuration request returned by the wireless controller according to the test request, and forwarding the configuration request to the wireless access point;
receiving a configuration response returned by the wireless access point according to the configuration request;
and determining the test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point according to the configuration request and the configuration response.
In a second aspect, a testing apparatus for a wireless network is provided, the wireless network comprising a wireless controller and a wireless access point; the testing device is respectively connected with the wireless controller and the wireless access point; the test device includes:

In response to the above-mentioned deficiencies in the testing techniques, the present specification, in at least one embodiment, provides a method for testing a wireless network. And in the test process, the interactive information or the configuration information of the wireless controller and the wireless access point is collected at the same time, and the combined test of the wireless controller and the wireless access point is realized by utilizing the collected information. Therefore, the test plan is efficiently completed, and the test time and the test resources are saved.
In order to make the testing scheme of the wireless network provided by the present specification clearer, the following describes in detail the implementation process of the scheme provided by the present specification with reference to the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a method for testing a wireless network, which includes a wireless controller and a wireless access point, according to an embodiment provided in the present specification. In this embodiment, a plurality of test cases need to be executed to jointly complete a complete test of a wireless network, that is, a combined test of a wireless controller and a wireless access point. Wherein, one test case comprises at least one piece of test data. The test data may be understood as the smallest test execution unit in the test process.
The execution main body of this embodiment may be an intermediate device that connects the wireless controller and the wireless access point in the wireless network, and the device may be an entity device or a virtual module integrated on a certain party, which is not limited in this specification. In one example, before sending the test request to the radio controller, the method further comprises: and generating the test case according to preset test target information. Before testing, according to the test target information, the relevant parameters of the test are set, and an executable test case is automatically generated. For example, the relevant parameters can be set in advance by a tester, so that the test target information is more controllable, the test reliability of the wireless controller and the wireless access point is integrally improved, and the accuracy of the wireless network test is improved.
In another example, the test target information includes at least one of: test function points, test parameters, test parameter combinations and value ranges.
In the above example, the test function point may include the radio frequency parameters: radio frequency mode, wireless channel, spatial stream, transmit power, channel bandwidth or packet transmission interval, etc.; network parameters may also be included: signal name, encryption mode, speed limit, user authentication, maximum user number, signal hiding or black and white list and the like. The test parameters are specific parameters of each test function point, for example, parameters of the transmission power of 1dbm-20dbm (dbm-decibel milliwatt, in power unit); parameters of channel bandwidth 20Mhz, 40Mhz, 80Mhz, or 160 Mhz; the parameters of the packet transmission interval are 400ns or 800ns, and the above parameters can be regarded as the test parameters of each test function point. The test parameters can be combined at will to form a test parameter combination. The test parameters can also be limited in the form of parameter ranges, so the value range also serves as test target information.
And 102, receiving a configuration request returned by the wireless controller according to the test request, and forwarding the configuration request to the wireless access point.
After receiving the test request, the wireless controller updates and configures the self-configuration information according to the test request, and generates a configuration request according to the self-configuration-updating information so that the wireless access point updates and configures correspondingly, thereby ensuring the normal connection between the wireless controller and the wireless access point and the normal operation of the whole wireless network. In this step, the configuration request sent by the wireless controller is received and stored, and the test request is forwarded to the wireless access point.
Step 103, receiving a configuration response returned by the wireless access point according to the configuration request.
After receiving the configuration request, the wireless access point correspondingly configures the configuration information of the wireless access point according to the configuration request, and simultaneously generates and returns a configuration response.
And 104, determining the test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point according to the configuration request and the configuration response.
In one example, after the sending the test request to the radio controller in step 101, the method further comprises: and receiving a controller configuration returned by the wireless controller, wherein the controller configuration is information configured by the wireless controller according to the test request. After receiving the test request, the wireless controller generates and returns a configuration request according to the test request; and meanwhile, updating the configuration information according to the test request. In this example, the wireless controller also returns the configuration information corresponding to the update after receiving the test request.
Correspondingly, in step 104, the determining the test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point according to the configuration request and the configuration response includes: and determining the test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point according to the controller configuration, the configuration request and the configuration response. In this example, the test results of the wireless controller and the wireless access point are determined by acquiring the controller configuration, the configuration request and the configuration response of the wireless access point of the wireless controller and combining three factors, and the test results of the wireless network are determined, so that the test reliability is improved.
The configuration response in the above embodiments or examples may include: and the wireless access point carries out configuration information according to the configuration request, and/or the wireless access point returns a configuration result corresponding to the configuration request. The configuration response of the wireless access point may include configuration information and configuration response of the wireless access point, or may further include other information of more wireless access points. Therefore, the reliability of the test of the wireless access point is improved, and the reliability of the test of the wireless network is improved.
The wireless network testing method of the embodiment collects the configuration request of the wireless controller and the configuration response returned by the wireless request corresponding to the wireless access point, so as to realize the combined test of the wireless controller and the wireless access point. The wireless controller and the wireless access point are tested together in one test process, the test efficiency of the wireless network is improved, and the test time and the test resources are saved.
