Abstract
The invention discloses a panel idle port multiplexing device which comprises a debugging serial port unit, a USB storage unit, a panel USB port, an analog change-over switch unit, a current-limiting switch unit and a control unit. The invention also provides a multiplexing method of the device. For non-service ports such as a debugging serial port and a storage interface, the device is usually in an idle state when the device operates normally. According to the invention, the debugging serial port in the form of the USB physical interface is realized by the way of adding the UART module to the UART-to-USB interface, so that the unification of the physical interface forms of the debugging serial port and the USB storage interface is realized; and then, multiplexing of idle ports of the panel is realized by a mode of gating data back and forth through the analog change-over switch. Compared with the prior art, the panel space is effectively saved, and the utilization rate of the panel space is improved.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a multiplexing technology of an external port of communication equipment, in particular to a device and a method for multiplexing a panel idle port.
Background
With the increasing requirements of people on various communication services, the functions of communication equipment are stronger and the density of external service ports is higher, and dozens or even dozens of external service ports are often integrated in a limited panel space of a single board. For the client, the importance of different types of ports is different, and for various service ports such as ethernet, SDH, OTN, etc., it is important and in the butt joint operation state at all times; for non-service ports such as debugging serial ports and storage interfaces, the ports are often idle in many cases, but the ports also need to exist for opening debugging, routing inspection maintenance and the like. In order to overcome the above disadvantages, the present invention provides a device and a method for reusing an idle port, which is adopted due to insufficient panel space when external service ports of communication equipment are dense, so as to solve the problem in the prior art that how to effectively utilize the panel space and improve the utilization rate of the panel space when the external service ports of communication equipment are dense.
The scheme of the invention is as follows: an apparatus for panel idle port multiplexing, comprising:
the debugging serial port unit is used for realizing the debugging serial port function of the upper computer;
the USB storage unit is used for realizing the function of externally connecting a USB memory;
panel USB port for external multiplexing interface of debugging serial port unit and USB memory unit
The analog switch unit is used for gating and debugging a data channel of the serial port unit or the USB storage unit according to requirements;
the current-limiting switch unit is used for turning on or off a power supply signal provided by the equipment to the panel USB port;
and the control unit is used for controlling various enable signals.
Furthermore, the debugging serial port unit comprises a UART module and a UART-to-USB interface.

step 3, judging whether the panel USB port is required to be used as a USB storage interface, if not, returning to the step 2; if yes, executing step 4;
step 4, setting an analog switch to gate a data channel of the USB storage interface, and setting a current limiting switch to turn on a power supply provided for a panel USB port by the device;
and 5, returning to the step 2 after the use of the peripheral USB memory is finished.
The invention has the technical effects that: for non-service ports such as a debugging serial port and a storage interface, the device is usually in an idle state when the device operates normally. The invention is further described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The invention provides a panel idle port multiplexing device, which is particularly suitable for being used under the condition that external service ports of communication equipment are dense, and comprises a debugging serial port unit, a USB storage unit, a panel port, an analog change-over switch unit and a control unit, wherein the debugging serial port unit, the USB storage unit, the panel port, the analog change-over switch unit and the control unit are shown in an attached figure 1.
The debugging serial port unit and the USB storage unit are different functional units, and the debugging serial port function and the external USB storage function of the upper computer are respectively realized, and input and output are required from a panel port. The debugging serial port is generally composed of a UART module and different types of physical layer interface chips such as RS232 or RS 485. The invention adopts a physical layer interface chip of the UART-to-USB interface, thus realizing the unification of external physical interface forms of the debugging serial port unit and the USB storage unit.
The analog switch unit is used for switching between the debugging serial port unit and the USB storage unit back and forth according to requirements and realizing input and output from the same panel port. The control unit is used for controlling various enabling signals, such as gating signals for controlling the analog selector switch, so as to select and debug the data signals of the serial port unit or the data signals of the USB storage unit.
In a specific implementation, as shown in fig. 3, the method includes: the device comprises a debugging serial port unit 301, a USB storage unit 302, a panel USB port 303, an analog switch unit 304, a current limiting switch unit 305 and a control unit 306.
The debugging serial port unit 301 is used for implementing the upper computer debugging serial port function, and includes a UART module 3011 and a UART-to-USB interface 3012. UART is an english abbreviation of universal asynchronous receiver transmitter, which is a generic name of an asynchronous serial communication port for converting data to be transmitted between parallel communication and serial communication. The UART module is added with a physical layer interface chip to form a debugging serial port. The USB storage unit 302 is used to implement an external USB memory function. The panel USB port 303 is an external multiplexing interface of the debug serial port unit and the USB storage unit, and defines a data signal pin and a power signal pin. The analog switch unit 304 is used to gate and debug the data channel of the serial port unit or the USB memory unit according to the requirement.
The current limit switch unit 305 is used to turn on or off the power signal provided by the device to the panel USB port. When the panel USB port is used as a debugging serial port, the USB port belongs to slave equipment, and a port power supply is provided by an upper computer in a master equipment state through a USB cable, so that the power supply provided by the equipment to the panel USB port is cut off by closing a current-limiting switch; when the panel USB port is used as a storage interface, the USB port belongs to a master device, the external USB memory is in a slave device state, and the port power is provided by the device in the master device state, so that the power provided by the device for the panel USB port is turned on by turning on the current-limiting switch.
The control unit 306 is used for controlling various enabling signals, including controlling a gating signal of the analog switch to gate and debug a data channel of the serial port unit or the USB storage unit, and controlling a switching signal of the current limiting switch to turn on or turn off a power supply provided by the device to the panel USB port.
According to the invention, the debugging serial port in the form of the USB physical interface is realized by the way of adding the UART module to the UART-to-USB interface, so that the unification of the physical interface forms of the debugging serial port and the USB storage interface is realized; and then, the data is gated back and forth by the analog change-over switch, so that the back and forth switching of the debugging serial port and the USB storage interface is realized, and the aim is to realize the multiplexing of the idle ports of the panel, thereby effectively saving the space of the panel and improving the space utilization rate of the panel.
The invention also provides a panel idle port multiplexing method, which is shown in the attached figures 2 and 4.
By default, the panel port is used as functional unit a, and the analog switcher is gated to unit a. At this time, the user can implement the function of the unit a through the panel port; judging whether the panel port is required to be used as a functional unit B or not, if not, continuing to be used as a functional unit A; if yes, the analog switch is switched to be gated to the unit B, and at the moment, the user can realize the function of the unit B through the panel port. And after the functional unit B is executed, the analog change-over switch is gated to the unit A again. The unit A and the unit B can be a debugging serial port unit or a USB storage interface unit.
The specific process steps are as follows:

1. An apparatus for panel idle port reuse, comprising:
the debugging serial port unit is used for realizing the debugging serial port function of the upper computer;
the USB storage unit is used for realizing the function of externally connecting a USB memory;
panel USB port for external multiplexing interface of debugging serial port unit and USB memory unit
The analog switch unit is used for gating and debugging a data channel of the serial port unit or the USB storage unit according to requirements;
the current-limiting switch unit is used for turning on or off a power supply signal provided by the equipment to the panel USB port;
and the control unit is used for controlling various enable signals.
2. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the debugging serial port unit includes a UART module and a UART-to-USB interface.
3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said panel USB port defines data signal pins and power signal pins.
4. A panel idle port multiplexing device as defined in claim 1, wherein said current limiting switching unit functions to:
when the panel USB port is used as a debugging serial port, the USB port belongs to slave equipment, and a port power supply is provided by an upper computer in a master equipment state through a USB cable, so that the power supply provided by the equipment to the panel USB port is cut off by closing a current-limiting switch;
when the panel USB port is used as a storage interface, the USB port belongs to a master device, the external USB memory is in a slave device state, and the port power is provided by the device in the master device state, so that the power provided by the device for the panel USB port is turned on by turning on the current-limiting switch.

The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the functions of the control unit include controlling the gating signal of the analog switch to gate the data channel of the debug serial port unit or the USB memory unit, and controlling the switching signal of the current limit switch to turn on or off the power supplied to the USB port of the panel by the apparatus.
6. A panel idle port multiplexing method is particularly suitable for being used under the condition that external service ports of communication equipment are dense, and is characterized by comprising the following steps:

step 3, judging whether the panel USB port is required to be used as a USB storage interface, if not, returning to the step 2; if yes, executing step 4;
