Abstract

The invention provides a preparation method of a flexible display device, which comprises the steps of providing a flexible substrate and a hard substrate, wherein the flexible substrate comprises a substrate body and a bonding layer, and the bonding layer covers one surface of the substrate body; attaching one side of the flexible substrate, which is provided with the bonding layer, to the hard substrate; forming a fixing layer on the periphery of the flexible substrate, wherein the bonding strength of the bonding layer is smaller than that of the fixing layer; preparing a display device on the substrate body; cutting off the fixed layer; and peeling the substrate body with the display device from the hard substrate to obtain the flexible display device. The requirement of strong adhesive force between the substrate body and the hard substrate in the preparation process of the display device is met, and the flexible substrate is prevented from peeling off; after the display device is manufactured, the flexible display device can be easily peeled off only by cutting off the part of the fixing layer, and the purpose of not damaging the flexible display device is achieved.

Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of display panels, in particular to a preparation method of a flexible display device.
Background
Flexible displays are a mainstream trend in new displays because of their advantages of light weight, thinness, and flexibility. However, the conventional large glass substrate has the disadvantages of too large bending curvature, heavy weight, fragility, etc., which limits the application and development of the conventional large glass substrate in flexible displays. Therefore, at present, flexible displays mostly use polymer-based flexible substrates as carriers. In the general panel manufacturing process, a layer of flexible substrate is manufactured on a hard substrate, devices are manufactured on the flexible substrate, and after the manufacturing process is finished, the flexible devices are taken down from the hard substrate. The difficulty in the process is that the adhesive force between the flexible substrate and the hard substrate is controlled, the adhesive force is too large, and the device is easily damaged due to the difficulty in stripping and taking off; the adhesion is too small, and the flexible substrate is easy to peel off in the process of manufacturing.
Therefore, there is a need to develop a new method for manufacturing a flexible display device to overcome the defects of the prior art.
Disclosure of Invention
An object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a flexible display device, which can solve the problem in the prior art that the adhesion between a flexible substrate and a rigid substrate cannot be controlled when manufacturing the flexible substrate.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a method for manufacturing a flexible display device, including providing a flexible substrate and a hard substrate, where the flexible substrate includes a substrate body and a bonding layer, and the bonding layer covers one surface of the substrate body; attaching one side of the flexible substrate, which is provided with the bonding layer, to the hard substrate, wherein the attaching area of the flexible substrate is smaller than that of the hard substrate; forming a fixing layer on the peripheral side of the flexible substrate, wherein the fixing layer is adhered to the hard substrate, and the adhesive strength of the adhesive layer is smaller than that of the fixing layer; preparing a display device on the substrate body; cutting off the fixed layer; and peeling the substrate body with the display device from the hard substrate to obtain the flexible display device.
Further, in other embodiments, the flexible substrate further includes a protective film attached to a surface of the adhesive layer away from the substrate body; in the step of providing a flexible substrate, the method further comprises removing the protective film from the surface of the adhesive layer.
Further, in other embodiments, in the step of forming a fixed layer on the peripheral side of the flexible substrate, the fixed layer surrounds the flexible substrate.
Further, in another embodiment, in the step of forming a fixing layer on the peripheral side of the flexible substrate, the fixing layer surrounds the flexible substrate and covers the side of the flexible substrate facing away from the hard substrate.
Further, in other embodiments, in the step of cutting the fixing layer, the fixing layer is removed by laser cutting.
Further, in other embodiments, in the step of cutting the fixing layer, the flexible substrate is cut along a joint seam between the fixing layer and the flexible substrate, or the flexible substrate is cut along a predetermined path, and the predetermined path has a predetermined distance from the joint seam.

The invention has the beneficial effects that: the invention provides a preparation method of a flexible display device, wherein a silicon-based adhesive with weak adhesive force is adhered between a substrate body and a hard substrate, and the edge part of the substrate body is fixed by a fixing layer with strong adhesive force, so that the requirement of strong adhesive force between the substrate body and the hard substrate in the preparation process of the display device is met, and the flexible substrate is prevented from peeling off; after the display device is manufactured, the flexible display device can be easily peeled off only by cutting off the part of the fixing layer, and the purpose of not damaging the flexible display device is achieved.

All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
Specific structural and functional details disclosed herein are merely representative and are provided for purposes of describing example embodiments of the present invention. The present invention may, however, be embodied in many alternate forms and should not be construed as limited to only the embodiments set forth herein.
In the manufacturing process of the flexible display device in the prior art, a layer of flexible substrate is generally manufactured on a hard substrate, a device is manufactured on the flexible substrate, and after the manufacturing process is finished, the flexible device is taken down from the hard substrate. The difficulty in the process is that the adhesive force between the flexible substrate and the hard substrate is controlled, the adhesive force is too large, and the device is easily damaged due to the difficulty in stripping and taking off; the adhesion is too small, and the flexible substrate is easy to peel off in the process of manufacturing. The embodiment of the invention provides a novel preparation method of a flexible display device, which can overcome the defects of the prior art.
Referring to fig. 1, in an embodiment, a method for manufacturing a flexible display device is provided, and referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a method for manufacturing a flexible display device according to an embodiment of the present invention, where the method for manufacturing a flexible display device includes steps S1 to S6.
Step S1: providing a flexible substrate 100 and a hard substrate; referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a schematic structural diagram of the flexible substrate 100 provided in the present embodiment, where the flexible substrate 100 includes a substrate body 110, an adhesive layer 120, and a protective film 130. The adhesive layer 120 covers one surface of the substrate body 110, and the protective film 130 is attached to one surface of the adhesive layer 120 away from the substrate body 110.
The material used for the substrate body 110 includes: at least one polymer material selected from polyimide, polycarbonate, polyethylene terephthalate and cellulose triacetate.
The material of the adhesive layer 120 is a silicon-based adhesive, and the adhesive layer 120 has low viscosity and is easy to tear and separate two objects adhered to each other.
Wherein the material for the hard substrate can adopt a glass substrate.
Step S2: the protective film 130 is peeled off from the surface of the adhesive layer 120, and the side of the flexible substrate having the adhesive layer 120 is attached to the hard substrate 200. Referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 is a schematic structural diagram of a manufacturing method of a flexible display device according to an embodiment of the present invention in step S2.
In attaching the flexible substrate to the hard substrate, wherein the attachment area of the flexible substrate is smaller than the area of the hard substrate, in step S1, the size of the hard substrate provided should be larger than the size of the flexible substrate for attaching the flexible substrate.
Step S3: the fixing layer 140 is formed on the peripheral side of the flexible substrate, and the fixing layer 140 is adhered to the hard substrate 200. Referring to fig. 4, fig. 4 is a schematic structural diagram of a manufacturing method of a flexible display device according to an embodiment of the present invention in step S3.
In this embodiment, the fixing layer 140 is also a glue layer, wherein the material used for the fixing layer 140 includes at least one of epoxy resin, polyimide, and acrylic resin. In specific implementation, the fixing glue is only needed to be sprayed on the periphery of the flexible substrate. The fixing layer 140 surrounds the flexible substrate, and in other embodiments, the fixing layer 140 surrounds the flexible substrate and covers a side of the flexible substrate away from the hard substrate 200.
In this embodiment, the fixing layer 140 is added on the peripheral side of the flexible substrate 100, so that the fixing layer 140 can further bond the flexible substrate and the hard substrate 200.
In the present invention, the adhesive strength of the adhesive layer 120 is smaller than the adhesive strength of the fixing layer 140. When only the adhesive layer 120 is used as an adhesive, the adhesive strength between the flexible substrate 100 and the rigid substrate 200 is not high, and the flexible substrate 100 is easily separated from the rigid substrate 200, which affects the manufacture of the flexible display device. The present invention adds the fixing layer 140 so that the flexible substrate 100 can have better stability when the display device 150 is manufactured.
Step S4: the display device 150 is prepared on the substrate body 110. Referring to fig. 5, fig. 5 is a schematic structural diagram of a manufacturing method of a flexible display device according to an embodiment of the present invention in step S4.
Specifically, the display device 150 includes a substrate, a buffer layer disposed on the substrate, an active layer disposed on the buffer layer, a gate insulating layer disposed on the active layer, a gate layer disposed on the gate insulating layer, a source drain layer disposed on the gate layer, a planarization layer disposed on the source drain layer, and a pixel electrode layer disposed on the planarization layer, wherein the array substrate 210 has a plurality of sub-pixels arranged in an array, and each sub-pixel includes the active layer, the gate insulating layer, the gate layer, and the source drain layer. The design point of the present application is the manufacturing method of the flexible display device, and thus the detailed structure of the display device 150 is not described in detail.
Step S5: the fixing layer 140 is cut off, wherein the fixing layer 140 is removed by means of laser cutting. When the fixed layer 140 is specifically cut off, the cutting can be performed along the joint of the fixed layer 140 and the flexible substrate, or the flexible substrate is cut along a preset route, the preset route and the joint have a preset distance, the preset distance is 10nm-1000nm, the setting of the preset route is set according to actual needs, and the flexible display device 150 is not damaged when only the fixed layer 140 is cut off.
Referring to fig. 6, fig. 6 is a schematic structural diagram of a manufacturing method of a flexible display device according to an embodiment of the present invention in step S6; step S6: the substrate body 110 having the display device 150 is peeled off from the hard substrate 200, and the flexible display device 300 is obtained.
The invention has the beneficial effects that: the invention provides a preparation method of a flexible display device, wherein a silicon-based adhesive with weak adhesive force is adhered between a substrate body and a hard substrate, and the edge part of the substrate body is fixed by a fixing layer with strong adhesive force, so that the requirement of strong adhesive force between the substrate body and the hard substrate in the preparation process of the display device is met, and the flexible substrate is prevented from peeling off; after the display device is manufactured, the flexible display device can be easily peeled off only by cutting off the part of the fixing layer, and the purpose of not damaging the flexible display device is achieved.

1. A method for manufacturing a flexible display device includes
Providing a flexible substrate and a hard substrate, wherein the flexible substrate comprises a substrate body and a bonding layer, and the bonding layer covers one surface of the substrate body;
attaching one side of the flexible substrate, which is provided with the bonding layer, to the hard substrate, wherein the attaching area of the flexible substrate is smaller than that of the hard substrate;
forming a fixing layer on the peripheral side of the flexible substrate, wherein the fixing layer surrounds the flexible substrate and is bonded on the hard substrate, and the bonding strength of the bonding layer is smaller than that of the fixing layer;
preparing a display device on the substrate body;
cutting the fixed layer, and cutting along a joint seam of the fixed layer and the flexible substrate, or cutting the flexible substrate along a preset path, wherein the preset path and the joint seam have a preset distance, and the preset distance is 10nm-1000 nm;
and peeling the substrate body with the display device from the hard substrate to obtain the flexible display device.
2. The manufacturing method of the flexible display device according to claim 1, wherein the flexible substrate further comprises a protective film attached to a surface of the adhesive layer away from the substrate body;
in the step of providing a flexible substrate, the method further comprises removing the protective film from the surface of the adhesive layer.
3. The method according to claim 1, wherein in the step of forming a fixing layer on the peripheral side of the flexible substrate, the fixing layer surrounds the flexible substrate and covers a side of the flexible substrate on a side away from the hard substrate.
4. The method for manufacturing a flexible display device according to claim 1, wherein in the step of cutting the fixing layer, the fixing layer is removed by laser cutting.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein the substrate body is made of a polymer material selected from the group consisting of polyimide, polycarbonate, polyethylene terephthalate, and cellulose triacetate.
6. The method for manufacturing a flexible display device according to claim 1, wherein the material used for the fixing layer comprises at least one of epoxy resin, polyimide, and acrylic resin.
7. The method of claim 1, wherein the material of the bonding layer is a silicon-based adhesive.
