Abstract

With the continuous development of display technologies, display panels are widely applied to various products, and frameless display modules become a main development direction.
In the conventional frameless display module, in order to prevent the display panel from being damaged due to the contact between the display panel and the middle frame, as shown in fig. 1 and 2, a certain gap d is usually reserved between the middle frame 10' and the display panel 20 to prevent the two from being in direct contact. Although this design can avoid direct contact between the display panel and the bezel, the design increases the size of the display module.
Therefore, it is desirable to provide a display module and an electronic device to solve the problems of the prior art.

To solve the above technical problem, the present invention provides a display panel, including:

The display module and the electronic device comprise a display panel and a middle frame, wherein the middle frame comprises a side wall, a boss is arranged on the inner side of the side wall, the side wall comprises a first sub-portion, the first end portion of the first sub-portion is connected with the second end portion of the boss, a first accommodating cavity is formed between the first sub-portion and the boss, the display panel is located in the first accommodating cavity, a groove is arranged on the periphery of the inner side of the first sub-portion, the position of the groove corresponds to the position of the peripheral side of the display panel, and a buffer piece is filled in the groove.

The following description of the embodiments refers to the accompanying drawings for illustrating the specific embodiments in which the invention may be practiced. In the present invention, directional terms such as "up", "down", "front", "back", "left", "right", "inner", "outer", "side", etc. refer to directions of the attached drawings. Accordingly, the directional terms used are used for explanation and understanding of the present invention, and are not used for limiting the present invention. In the drawings, elements having similar structures are denoted by the same reference numerals.
The terms "first," "second," and the like in the description and claims of the present application and in the above-described drawings are used for distinguishing between different objects and not for describing a particular order. Furthermore, the terms "include" and "have," as well as any variations thereof, are intended to cover non-exclusive inclusions.
Referring to fig. 3 to 5, fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a display module according to the present invention.
As shown in fig. 3, a center frame 10 and a display panel 20 of the present invention.
The middle frame 10 includes a sidewall 11, a boss 12 is disposed on an inner side of the sidewall 11, and in an embodiment, the sidewall 11 includes a first sub-portion 111, a first end (lower end) of the first sub-portion 111 is connected to a second end (left end) of the boss 12, that is, the boss 12 intersects with the first sub-portion 111. Wherein a first receiving cavity is formed between the first sub-portion 111 and the boss 12, and the display panel 20 is located in the first receiving cavity, wherein in an embodiment, the bottom of the display panel 20 is fixed on the boss 12, and the first sub-portion 111 surrounds the periphery of the display panel 20, fig. 2 and 3 only show the structure of the right side of the display module, and it can be understood that the structure of the left side and the upper and lower sides of the display module is the same.
Referring to fig. 4, a groove 101 is formed on an inner peripheral edge of the first sub-portion 111, the groove 101 corresponds to a peripheral side of the display panel 20, and the groove 101 is filled with a buffer 40. The peripheral side of the display panel 20 is a side wall located around the display panel 20, and is composed of four side walls, i.e., an upper side wall, a lower side wall, a left side wall, and a right side wall in fig. 5. Wherein the buffer member 40 is used to prevent the display panel from directly contacting the middle frame, so as to prevent the display panel from being damaged. Wherein the material of the buffer member 40 may be an elastic material or a flexible material.
In one embodiment, the buffer 40 is integrally formed with the center frame 10. For example, the middle frame 10 may be manufactured by an injection molding process, in which an elastic material or a flexible material is molded together with the middle frame, and then an appearance treatment is performed on the surface after injection molding, so that the injection molded part and the outer case have no color difference. In another embodiment, the buffer member 40 is formed by filling a buffer material in the groove 101. The cushioning material may be an elastomeric material or a flexible material.
In one embodiment, the buffer member 40 covers the peripheral side of the display panel 20, that is, the buffer member 40 is disposed outside the edge of the groove 101 of the first sub-portion 111, so as to further prevent the display panel from contacting the middle frame, and better protect the display panel.
The display panel 20 may be fixed on the boss 12 by a glue 41, wherein in order to further protect the display panel, in an embodiment, the glue 41 may be a buffer glue.
In some embodiments, the display panel may be an organic light emitting display panel. In other embodiments, the display panel may be a liquid crystal display panel, and the display module may further include a backlight module 30; the sidewall 11 further includes a second sub-portion 112, a third end (upper end) of the second sub-portion 112 is connected to a first end (left end) of the boss 12, wherein the first sub-portion 111 is disposed above the boss 12, the second sub-portion 112 is located below the first sub-portion 111, that is, a lower end of the first sub-portion 111 is connected to an upper end of the second sub-portion 112, a second receiving cavity is formed between the second sub-portion 112 and the boss 12, and the backlight module 30 is located in the second receiving cavity. That is, the second sub-portion 112 surrounds the periphery of the backlight module 30.
The backlight module 30 includes a back plate 31, the back plate 31 has a third receiving chamber, wherein the back plate 31 includes a horizontal portion and a vertical portion; the backlight module 30 further includes a reflective sheet 32, a light guide plate 33, and an optical film 34 stacked in the third accommodating cavity from bottom to top.
Referring to fig. 5, the middle frame 10 surrounds the display panel 20 in a top view. And the gap L between the middle frame 10 and the display panel 20 is small and even negligible.
Because the inside wall at the center sets up the recess, and is filled with the bolster in the recess, consequently can avoid display panel and center direct contact, avoids both to collide and damage display panel, therefore need not be too big with the interval between display panel and the center, also for current display module assembly, has reduced the clearance between panel and the center to display module assembly's size has been reduced.
The invention also provides an electronic device which comprises any one of the display modules.
The display module and the electronic device comprise a display panel and a middle frame, wherein the middle frame comprises a side wall, a boss is arranged on the inner side of the side wall, the side wall comprises a first sub-part, the first end part of the first sub-part is connected with the second end part of the boss, a first accommodating cavity is formed between the first sub-part and the boss, the display panel is positioned in the first accommodating cavity, a groove is arranged on the periphery of the inner side of the first sub-part, the position of the groove corresponds to the position of the peripheral side of the display panel, and the groove is filled with a buffer; the display panel and the middle frame do not need to be spaced too much, so that the size of the display module is reduced.
In summary, although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiments, the above-described preferred embodiments are not intended to limit the present invention, and those skilled in the art can make various changes and modifications without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention, therefore, the scope of the present invention shall be determined by the appended claims.
Claims (10)
1. A display module, comprising:
a display panel;
the display panel comprises a middle frame and a plurality of display panels, wherein the middle frame comprises a side wall, a boss is arranged on the inner side of the side wall, the side wall comprises a first sub-part, the first end of the first sub-part is connected with the second end of the boss, a first accommodating cavity is formed between the first sub-part and the boss, the display panel is positioned in the first accommodating cavity, a groove is arranged on the periphery of the inner side of the first sub-part, the position of the groove corresponds to the position of the peripheral side of the display panel, and a buffer member is filled in the groove;
the buffer piece is located in the groove, the bottom of the display panel is fixed on the boss through a colloid, and the display panel and the buffer piece are arranged at intervals.
2. The display module of claim 1, wherein the buffer member covers a peripheral side of the display panel.
3. The display module of claim 1, wherein the buffer is integrally formed with the middle frame.
4. The display module of claim 1, wherein the buffer is formed by filling a buffer material in the groove.
5. The display module assembly of claim 1, wherein the buffer member is made of an elastic material or a flexible material.
6. The display module of claim 1, wherein the first sub-portion surrounds a periphery of the display panel.
7. The display module of claim 6, wherein the gel is a buffer gel.
8. The display module according to claim 1, wherein the display module further comprises a backlight module;
the side wall further comprises a second sub-portion, a third end of the second sub-portion is connected with the first end of the boss, the second sub-portion is located below the first sub-portion, a second accommodating chamber is formed between the second sub-portion and the boss, and the backlight module is located in the second accommodating chamber.
9. The display module of claim 8,
the backlight module comprises a back plate, the back plate is provided with a third accommodating cavity, and the backlight module further comprises a reflector plate, a light guide plate and an optical diaphragm, wherein the reflector plate, the light guide plate and the optical diaphragm are sequentially stacked in the third accommodating cavity from bottom to top.
10. An electronic device, comprising the display module according to any one of claims 1 to 9.
