Background
With the deployment of a large number of broadband FTTH, operators have higher requirements on the port density of the PON OLT system. A typical 10U system needs to support 14 service cards with up to 16 service ports supported on each service card. According to the type of the OLT system service board card, 128 ONUs need to be supported for the GPON system to be accessed. For an XGPON system, a single service port needs to access 1K ONU devices. The ONU system is located at the user's home and requires the OLT system to perform remote configuration and management. Therefore, a single OLT system needs to manage and configure as many ONUs as 224K (14 × 16 × 1K).
For a single ONU system, the OMCI defines a configuration entity me (maintenance entry) to complete a typical ONU configuration, and multiple OMCI messages are required to configure the entities one by one to configure parameters. When the number of accesses to the OLT system is very large, configuring and managing the ONUs becomes a very time-consuming and error-prone matter.

Detailed Description
The embodiments of the present invention are described below with reference to specific embodiments, and other advantages and effects of the present invention will be easily understood by those skilled in the art from the disclosure of the present specification. The invention is capable of other and different embodiments and of being practiced or of being carried out in various ways, and its several details are capable of modification in various respects, all without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. It is to be noted that the features in the following embodiments and examples may be combined with each other without conflict.
It should be noted that the drawings provided in the following embodiments are only for illustrating the basic idea of the present invention, and the components related to the present invention are only shown in the drawings rather than drawn according to the number, shape and size of the components in actual implementation, and the type, quantity and proportion of the components in actual implementation may be changed freely, and the layout of the components may be more complicated.
The technical scheme of the invention relates to the improvement of the configuration mode of an optical network terminal (such as ONU or ONT) in an optical network system, and effectively improves the configuration efficiency.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic structural diagram of an optical network system in an embodiment of the present invention.
The optical network system comprises: an optical line terminal 101(OLT) and an optical network terminal 102(ONU or ONT) which are connected in communication; each port of the optical line terminal 101 may be connected to a plurality of optical network terminals 102 through an optical splitting unit 104, and of course, if the port only needs one optical network terminal 102, the optical splitting unit 104 does not need to be arranged between the port and the optical network terminal.
Optionally, the optical network system further includes a network management system 103(NMS or EMS), which is communicatively connected to the optical line terminal 101.
Further, the optical network terminal 102 is a distributed architecture, that is, it includes at least one main control card and one or more service cards connected thereto, in this embodiment, there are multiple service cards, and each port of each service card may be connected to one or more optical network terminals 102; and the master control card is connected to the network management system 103 in an uplink manner.
Specifically, when configuring each optical network terminal 102, a system administrator may issue a configuration instruction to a main control board (as shown in ①) on the network management system 103 side, where the configuration instruction includes a terminal identifier (ONU ID) of each network terminal to be configured and configuration data of a relevant configuration item, the main control board correspondingly issues a single configuration message corresponding to each optical network terminal 102 to a relevant service card (as shown in ②), where the relevant service card refers to a service card connected to the optical network terminal 102 to be configured and may be obtained by searching a routing table, and the relevant service card sends an OMCI optical network terminal 102ME (management entity) configuration message to each optical network terminal 102 to be configured to perform configuration (as shown in ③).
If a system administrator needs to input configuration instructions corresponding to each onu 102 to complete configuration of each service according to the configuration method in the prior art, even when configuring the onu 102 corresponding to the same onu (same model as a manufacturer), a huge amount of configuration instructions need to be input, and the master card needs to generate a huge amount of response messages; similarly, in a scenario of configuring a large number of optical network terminals 102, a huge amount of single configuration message interactions may also exist between the master control card and the service card, so that performance of performing configuration of the entire system is low.
In one or more embodiments of the present invention, the configuration template is set for configuring the optical network terminal 102, and preferably, different types of configuration templates may be provided corresponding to different types of optical network terminals 102, so that batches of the optical network terminals 102 of the same type can be configured through the same configuration template, and thus, a large amount of original configuration messages with repeated contents can be covered by a small amount of configuration messages, thereby greatly reducing the interaction amount of the configuration messages between the network management system 103 and the master control card, and between the master control card and the service card.
In one or more embodiments of the present invention, as shown in fig. 2, a data structure diagram of the configuration template and the corresponding generated configuration information in one embodiment is shown.
The configuration template comprises configuration template identifiers and configuration item description information corresponding to each configuration item, wherein the configuration template identifiers are used for uniquely representing the configuration template; each item of the description information of the configuration item is generated corresponding to each configuration item, wherein the configuration item can be a standard configuration item defined by an OMCI channel and a user-defined private configuration item; in an embodiment, the standard configuration items and the private configuration items may be collected in advance, and each corresponding configuration item is mapped to a unique configuration item identifier, in some specific scenarios, some configuration items are exclusive to some specific types of the optical network terminal 102, in which case, the configuration template identifier of the configuration template to which the corresponding configuration item description information belongs may be directly associated and determined through the corresponding configuration item identifier.
Each item of description information of the configuration item comprises: configuration item identification, configuration item attribute and configuration initial value.
The configuration item identifier is, as described above, used to uniquely represent a configuration item, that is, to specify a configuration item corresponding to the description information of the configuration item; the configuration initial value refers to a default configuration value which can be set by the corresponding configuration item; the configuration item attributes are then used to define: the manner in which the optical network terminal 102 is configured using its associated configuration initial value.
Specifically, in the embodiment shown in fig. 2, the configuration item attribute includes: the configuration template comprises a first attribute information which indicates that the configuration value of a configuration item of the optical network terminal to be configured needs to be consistent with the configuration initial value of the same configuration item in the configuration template, a second attribute information which is a function used in the process of obtaining the configuration value by performing function calculation according to the configuration initial value and the terminal identification of the optical network terminal to be configured, and a third attribute information which indicates that the configuration value of a configuration item of the optical network terminal to be configured can be inconsistent with the configuration initial value of the same configuration item in the configuration template.
For example, if a configuration value of a certain configuration item to be configured by the onu needs to be consistent with an initial configuration value of the corresponding configuration description information in the configuration template, such as TCONT configuration, an attribute of the configuration item in the configuration description information may be set to be first attribute information, which may be represented by a value, such as "0"; the configuration values of some configuration items may be obtained by function calculation from configuration initial values of corresponding configuration description information in the configuration template and terminal identifiers of the optical network terminals to be configured, for example, some serial numbers and the like, for example, the terminal identifier of the first optical network terminal to be configured may be "1000", according to the function, 1 is added to the terminal identifier of each subsequent optical network terminal to be configured, then the terminal identifiers of the subsequent optical network terminals to be configured are "1001" and "1002" … in sequence, and the function of adding 1 to the terminal identifier of each subsequent optical network terminal to be configured is, for example, expressed as "ONUID (n +1) ═ ONUID (n) + 1" as the second attribute information; some configuration items, such as user names, whose configuration values may be different from the configuration initial values, may also be flexibly defined as that the attribute of the configuration item in the configuration description information corresponding to the configuration item obtained from the specified file or from the specified database may be set as the third attribute information, i.e. the ONU description information character string "Building 11-room 1003", for example.
As can be seen from the above, by setting values of different configuration item attribute information, it is possible to implement automatic configuration of each configuration item of the optical network terminal to be configured by using the configuration template or partially automatically combining with the portion according to user input, that is, for example, the configuration item attribute of each configuration item description information in a configuration item template is set as the first attribute information or the second attribute information, and thus, automatic configuration is implemented; if the attribute of the configuration item of the partial configuration item description information is the third attribute information, the configuration value of the configuration item corresponding to the partial configuration item description information needs to be determined according to configuration data input by a user or acquired by an external data source.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the configuration template may further include: the type information of the optical network terminal which is consistent with the type of the benchmarking optical network terminal is used for checking the optical network terminal which is consistent with the type information of the optical network terminal which supports the optical network terminal; and the optical network terminal which accords with the information of supporting the type of the optical network terminal can use the configuration template to carry out configuration.
For example, there are A, B, C, D, E, etc. 5 onus, where A, B is the same first type of terminal, C, D is the same second type of terminal, and E is a third type of terminal, and if a is selected as the benchmarking onus, the configuration template generated includes the information of the supported onus type corresponding to the first type, and the configuration template can be configured for A, B, but cannot be configured for C, D, E.
In a specific implementation, for example, if the first type can be represented by taking a value "1" and stored in the related information of the onu, the second type and the third type can be represented by different assignments, such as "2" and "3", and the assignment of the onu-supported type information can also be the same as the assignment of the first type, the second type or the third type, and if a is the benchmarking onu, the assignment of the onu-supported type information is "1", and when determining whether the configuration template is available for A, B, C, D, E, it can be known according to whether the comparison result of the assignments is the same, that is, the type of B is the first type, the corresponding field is assigned to "1", the configuration template is available for B, and the type corresponding assignments of C, D, E, F are respectively "2", and "2" "3" and "3" are not equal to "1", so that the comparison shows that the configuration template cannot be used for configuring the optical network terminal C, D, E, F.
As shown in fig. 2, the configuration information generated according to the configuration template is also shown, in the figure, the dashed connecting line represents the association relationship between each configuration item in the configuration information and each configuration item description information, and the association relationship between the foregoing optical network terminal type and the information supporting the optical network terminal type.
Of course, the above assignment is only a simple example, and in practical cases, the assignment can be represented by various character strings, and is not limited to the above.
The technical contents of the configuration template described above are incorporated into the optical network system shown in fig. 1 to illustrate the principle of implementing the optical network terminal configuration method.
As shown in fig. 3, a schematic flow chart of a configuration method of an optical network terminal in an embodiment is shown, and the method can be applied to the optical line terminal.
The method comprises the following steps:
step S301: the master control card synchronously configures the template to each service card; the configuration template includes: configuring template identification and configuration item description information corresponding to each configuration item;
step S302: the master control card sends a first configuration message containing the configuration template identifier and the terminal identifier of one or more optical network terminals to be configured to the service card related to each optical network terminal to be configured;
step S303: the service card searches the corresponding configuration template according to the configuration template identifier in the first configuration message and combines the configuration value of each configuration item generated according to the description information of each configuration item, or combines the searched configuration template and the user input configuration data to form configuration information, and the configuration information is issued to the optical network terminal to be configured corresponding to each terminal identifier through the second configuration message to perform configuration.
Specifically, the configuration method in step S303 includes any one or more of the following:
A) the first configuration message also contains user input configuration data, the service card generates configuration information according to the searched configuration template and the user input configuration data, and the configuration information is issued to the optical network terminal to be configured through the second configuration message for configuration.
For example, a system administrator issues a configuration template identifier of an assigned configuration template and a terminal identifier of an optical network terminal to be configured through a network management system, configures configuration item data needing manual configuration in the network management system and issues a configuration instruction, a main control card issues a corresponding first configuration message to a related service card, and the service card then issues a second configuration message to each optical network terminal to be configured for configuration, which is like the above-mentioned case that the configuration of partial configuration items can be automatically performed according to the configuration template, and the user manual configuration is combined, that is, the configuration data is input by the user to obtain complete configuration.
B) The first configuration message also comprises user setting attribute information, the service card sets the configuration item attribute of each configuration item description information in the configuration template according to the user setting attribute information, calculates the configuration value of each configuration item corresponding to each configuration item description information according to the set configuration item attribute, generates configuration information according to the configuration value, and sends the configuration information to the optical network terminal to be configured through the second configuration message for configuration.
For example, a system administrator issues a configuration template identifier of a specified configuration template to a master control card through a network management system, and issues set attribute information of configuration item attributes of configuration item description information in the configuration template, so that the master control card issues a service card correspondingly through a first configuration message, the service card searches the configuration template according to the configuration identifier, sets the configuration item attributes of the corresponding configuration description information in the configuration template one by one according to the set attribute information, generates configuration information according to the set configuration template, and issues an optical network terminal for setting.
C) The first configuration message comprises terminal identifications of a plurality of optical network terminals to be configured of the same type, and the service card generates configuration information according to the configuration template and issues the configuration information to the optical network terminals to be configured corresponding to the terminal identifications through a second configuration message for configuration.
For example, the configuration of the to-be-configured optical network terminals that need to be configured in batch may be uniformly and automatically performed according to a default configuration template in a) or a set configuration template in B), for example, all the optical network terminals that are provided in batch under a certain service card are optical network terminals of the same manufacturer, batch, model and the like purchased by an operator, the master control card may send a first configuration message including a configuration template identifier of the used configuration template and a terminal identifier set of each to-be-configured optical network terminal to the service card, and it is not necessary to send a huge amount of first configuration messages one by one; after receiving the first configuration message, the service card executes the configuration of each optical network terminal to be configured one by using the configuration template.
In a GPON network, one port of a service card can be connected with 64 optical network terminals at most, and in an XGPON network, one port of the service card can be connected with 1K ONUs at most, so that if the service card has 16 ports, the configuration of 1K ONUs per port at most 16 ports can be simplified into 1 configuration message and sent to the corresponding service card.
Specifically, in the above mode A, B, C, the mode of configuring the optical network terminal by the service card specifically includes: the service card issues the configuration information to a remote optical network terminal and receives a configuration result of the optical network terminal; and after all the configuration items are sent, informing the main control card of the configuration result.
In addition, since the service cards of B) and C) automatically perform configuration, the main control card needs to make the OLT device reserve resources, such as GEM resources, service resources, Qos queue resources, etc., required by the service cards to perform configuration before issuing the first configuration message.
In an embodiment of the present invention, when an operator plans and changes that an original configuration template is no longer suitable and needs to reconfigure each optical network terminal, the technical solution of the present invention can also greatly improve efficiency.
Firstly, modifying and updating a configuration template to be suitable for new planning; further, the master control card synchronizes the modified configuration template to each service card; under the condition of receiving an updating instruction, each service card checks the modification of the configuration template; and under the condition that the optical network terminal needing to be updated which uses the configuration information corresponding to the old version of the configuration template is found, the service card generates the updated configuration information according to the modification of the configuration template, and the updated configuration information is issued to the optical network terminal needing to be updated through a second configuration message so as to update the configuration.
Since the service card reconfiguration of each optical network terminal can be implemented with reference to the foregoing embodiments, details are not repeated herein.
Preferably, in an embodiment of the present invention, the main control card may also generate configuration information in any one or more of the manners a), B), and C), and store the configuration information in the form of a configuration file to serve as a backup.
It should be noted that the action of generating the configuration message by the master control card may preferably occur before the first configuration message is issued, and of course, may also be completed in another time, which is not limited thereto.
It should be noted that the optical network terminal configuration method may be implemented by running a program through a processing system in the main control card and the service card, where the processing system includes a processor and a memory, the memory is used for storing a computer program, and the processor is used for running the computer program to implement the optical network terminal configuration method.
The memory may include a Random Access Memory (RAM), and may further include a non-volatile memory (non-volatile memory), such as at least one disk memory.
The processor may be a general-purpose processor, and includes a Central Processing Unit (CPU), a Network Processor (NP), and the like; but also Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) or other programmable logic devices, discrete gate or transistor logic devices, discrete hardware components, etc.
To achieve the above and other related objects, the present invention provides a computer storage medium for storing a computer program, which when executed by a processor, implements the method for configuring an optical network terminal, where the computer program may be a collection of control programs of a master control card and a service card.
The computer-readable storage medium can be any available medium that can be accessed by a computer or a data storage device, such as a server, a data center, etc., that includes one or more of the available media. The usable medium may be a magnetic medium (e.g., floppy disk, hard disk, magnetic tape), an optical medium (e.g., DVD), or a semiconductor medium (e.g., Solid State Disk (SSD)), among others.
In summary, in the optical network terminal configuration method, the optical line terminal, the optical network system and the medium of the present invention, the master card of the optical line terminal synchronously configures the template to each service card; the configuration template includes: configuring template identification and configuration item description information corresponding to each configuration item; the master control card sends a first configuration message containing the configuration template identifier and the terminal identifier of one or more optical network terminals to be configured to the service card related to each optical network terminal to be configured; the service card searches a corresponding configuration template according to the configuration template identifier in the first configuration message and combines configuration values of each configuration item generated according to description information of each configuration item, or combines the searched configuration template and user input configuration data to form configuration information, and the configuration information is issued to the optical network terminal to be configured corresponding to each terminal identifier through a second configuration message to carry out configuration; the configuration template is used for configuring the optical network terminals in batches, so that the number of configuration messages between the network management system and the optical line terminal and between the optical line terminal and the optical network terminal can be effectively reduced, the efficiency is effectively improved, and the risk of configuration errors is reduced.
Furthermore, the configuration of the optical network terminals of the same type can be modified in batch by modifying the configuration template, so that the workload of reconfiguring all the optical network terminals because one parameter needs to be modified is reduced.
