Description

Box type furniture
Technical Field
The invention relates to box-type furniture.
Background
In particular in the context of handleless kitchens, handle grooves have been known for several years which provide a gripping space behind the front of the furniture so that a user can grip with his hands in the region of the narrow sides of the front of the furniture and act back on the front of the furniture on the rear side. In order to construct such a handle channel, profile elements are usually mounted behind the front of the furniture, which profile elements close the handle space back so that the interior of the furniture part cannot be seen from the front. The more and more illumination possibilities are also implemented in the corresponding handle groove, in order to illuminate in particular the region of the handle groove; not only is an optically good recognition of the handle groove possible in the dark, but also an advantageous artistic optical effect with corresponding illumination is possible. In particular directly below the work plate of the cabinet: profile elements are inserted which are L-shaped in cross section, the short sides of the L-shape generally facing the rear side of the front of the piece of furniture with their free ends, and the vertical sides running together toward the underside of the work plate. In the region between the work plate and the vertical side of the L, a lighting element can then be provided in order to illuminate the handle groove formed by the L-profile.
A corresponding manner is no longer possible if a handle slot is realized between two furniture fronts. The problem on one hand is that: the underside for mounting the lighting device as in the worktop is not usually provided, but on the other hand the lighting device present behind the front in the handle groove likewise hinders the gripping of the adjacent furniture front from the rear and in this respect blocks the gripping space.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the invention is therefore: a box-type piece of furniture of the type mentioned at the outset is provided, in which the described disadvantages are avoided.
The basic idea of the invention is that: at the back of the front of the piece of furniture, a C-or U-shaped profile element is prevented, which forms a handle groove. In this way, an insertion profile for receiving a lighting device, for example an LED strip or the like, can be inserted into this profile, more precisely preferably on or in the region of one of the two sides of the respective profile element. In this way, the lighting device can be arranged such that it is not visible from the front. Furthermore, the profile element as a U-profile or C-profile provides the following advantages: the profile element can be used universally not only in the handle region between the two front faces but also between the front face of the cabinet and the work plate. The main longitudinal extension direction of the profile element can be both horizontal and vertical.
To this end, the box-type furniture according to the invention has at least one furniture front, behind which a recessed handle groove is provided, which is provided in the form of a profile element arranged on the rear side of the front of the furniture front facing away from the furniture front. The main longitudinal extension direction extends parallel or perpendicular to the floor plane as mentioned. In this case, the profile element is substantially C-shaped or U-shaped in cross section transversely to the main longitudinal extension. Lateral sections which are not located in the plane of the base are connected on both sides to the base of the profile element and are configured as the sides of a C-shaped or U-shaped cross section. According to the invention, an insertion profile which is inserted into the profile element and in which the lighting device can be accommodated or is already accommodated in the accommodation space is provided on the inner side of the profile element adjacent to at least one of the side sections, the insertion profile being a hollow profile which at least partially surrounds the accommodation space.
Thereby, the profile element provides several advantages with respect to known solutions, in particular the possibility of being mounted on different points in box furniture; only one profile element is also required in order to place a corresponding insert profile for the lighting device in the region of the handle slot.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, provision is made for: the insert profile has a recessed section on the side facing the inner side of the at least one furniture front. This recessed section promotes: a rear action on the furniture front at the front of the recess section is possible, without the inlet area being blocked by the insertion profile. The recess section can be designed as a bevel extending away from the inner side of the furniture front. In this way, the fingers of the user are guided into the region of action when the front of the piece of furniture is acted upon from behind. The recess section may in particular enclose an angle (α) with the inner side of the furniture front, which is preferably about 45 °, wherein other angles are also possible.
For aesthetic reasons it may be stated that: between the base and a side section of the profile element, there is a curved transition region. Of course, angled transition regions may also be provided.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the insert profile bears at least in regions against the profile element in a form-fitting manner. The form-locking simplifies the assembly of the insert profile in the profile element, and furthermore ensures secure retention, for example by gluing, by means of the form-locking surface. In this way, the supply of current to the lighting device can be guided very easily from the insertion profile through the through-opening of the rear wall into the furniture carcass.
The insertion profile is preferably a hollow profile which at least partially surrounds the receiving space. In this receiving space, a lighting device can be installed, which can be, for example, an LED strip, although other lighting means are conceivable depending on the size of the receiving space.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, provision can be made for: the insertion profile has an opening which is closed by a closing element, which is in particular at least partially transparent. The opening serves on the one hand for inserting the lighting device and on the other hand, in the case of a translucent closure element, can also serve as a radiation opening for the lighting device. Of course, other parts of the insertion profile may also be transparent.
Here, it can be provided that: in particular, a reflective section is provided on the closing element for reflecting the light emitted by the illumination device. In this way, the radiation pattern of the illumination device into the receiving space, which is sometimes more likely to be punctiform, can be homogenized.
Preferably, a transparent radiation section can also be provided, in particular on the closure element, which radiation section is designed to radiate light radiated by the lighting device from the insert profile.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the reflective section is advantageously arranged such that light radiated by the lighting device is reflected by the reflective section in the direction of the transparent radiation section. In this way, the illumination of the handle groove is optimized.
The profile element according to the invention is universally applicable. The profile elements can therefore be arranged in the region of two adjacent narrow sides of the furniture front or in the region of a narrow side of a furniture front and of a side wall of an adjacent work plate or of the box-type furniture. The position of the insertion profile can then also be selected correspondingly to the position.
The insert profile with the lighting device can also be concealed behind the front side of the furniture with the profile element according to the invention, so that the insert element is not visible from the outside. For this purpose, in particular: the side of the insertion profile which points toward the center of the profile element is recessed relative to the narrow side of the furniture front which is closest to the insertion profile. The height of the recess may be several millimeters. Thereby causing: the insertion profile is at least partially covered by the closest furniture front when viewing the front side of the box furniture.
Drawings
The invention is described in detail below with the aid of examples.
Fig. 1 shows a sectional view of a box-type furniture according to the invention in the region of two furniture fronts, which is not completely shown;
fig. 2 shows an enlarged view of a portion a in fig. 1;
fig. 3 shows a detail of the insertion profile shown in fig. 2.
Detailed Description
For better clarity, the complete box furniture is not shown in the sectional view shown in fig. 1. Only the region of the two furniture fronts 1, 2 is shown, between which the handle groove 4 is formed. The handle groove 4 is delimited on the one hand by two opposite narrow sides of the furniture carcass 1, 2 and on the rear side by the profile element 3. According to the invention, the profile element 3 is of C-or U-shaped design, wherein the profile element has a base section and two edge sections adjoining the base section.
The detail from fig. 1 is shown enlarged in fig. 2. Only a part of the bottom section 30 of the profile element is shown, as well as one edge 32 and a transition region 31 present therebetween, which in the example shown has a rounding, but can also be curved at all. In the profile element, an insert profile 5 is inserted on the inside, which in the example shown on the inside of the profile element bears in a form-fitting manner against the transition region 31 and the edge 32. The lower side of the insertion profile 5 in this figure is slightly recessed by a distance d with respect to the narrow side of the front side 1. If the box-type furniture is viewed from the front side (from the left in the drawing) of the box-type furniture, the front face 1 covers the insertion profile 5, so that it cannot be seen from the front to the observer.
The insertion profile 5 is also shown somewhat more precisely in fig. 3. The insertion profile has a receiving space 56, in which a lighting device, not shown in detail here, can be accommodated. Preferably, an LED bar is inserted in an area of an upper portion of the inclined portion 54. The insertion of the lighting device can be performed through an opening formed between the points 57 and 58 in the insertion profile 5. In the example shown, the opening is closed by a closure element 51. This closing element 51 can be transparent, for example, so that possible light generated by the lighting device in the receiving space 56 is radiated by the closing element 51 to the outside into the handle groove 4 in the region of the profile element 3 (fig. 1). Preferably, the closing element 51 is clipped between the projections 57 and 58 of the insertion profile according to the snap-in type of connection. For this purpose, the closure element can have corresponding receptacles or recesses into which the projections 57, 58 can be latched. The projection 57 is arranged at the free end of the rounded section 53 of the insert profile 5. This section 53 extends towards section 55. The sections 53 and 55 are preferably designed on the outside of the insertion profile in such a way that they can be placed against the sections 31 and 32 (fig. 2) of the profile element on the inside of the profile element in a form-fitting manner.
On the inner side of the insert profile 5, a reflective element 52 is provided, which in the example shown is preferably formed integrally with the closure element 51, in such a way that it rests against the sections 53 and 55. The reflective element can of course also bear solely against the inner wall of the insert profile 5 or be formed jointly with this inner wall. The reflective element 52 reflects the light generated by the lighting device and throws it at least in the direction of the transparent closing element 51, so that the light thus thrown back is incident into the grip groove of the profile element.
The projection 58 of the retaining closure element 51 is located at the end of the obliquely extending recessed section 54. This recessed section has on its outer side an inclined portion which encloses an angle α with the back side of the furniture front 1 (fig. 2) (shown by the dashed line S in fig. 3). In this way, a grip space is created between the furniture front S and the insertion profile 5 in the region of the angled recess, into which grip space the user' S fingers can enter when gripping on the furniture front, i.e. when acting into the handle groove. Thus, despite the insertion profile 5 being in the handle groove, the furniture carcass 1 can be moved on its underside by a rear action in order to open or make accessible a storage space which is present, for example, behind the carcass 1.
Of course, the insertion profile according to the invention in the profile element can be mounted not only on the upper side as shown here, but alternatively or additionally on the opposite side of the profile element 3, i.e. on the side opposite the sides 31, 32. Preferably, the insert profile 5 is adhesively bonded to the profile element 3. Other fastening possibilities, such as a screw connection or a snap-on connection, are likewise conceivable.
Even if in the example shown a horizontal extension is shown in respect of the main longitudinal extension of the profile element 3, it is of course also possible in the same box-type furniture or in other box-type furniture: a profile assembly is selected in which the main longitudinal extension of the profile element 3 extends in the vertical direction, i.e. perpendicularly to the floor plane.
