Description

Method and apparatus for providing point of interest information
Technical Field
The invention relates to a method and a device for providing point of interest information near a destination.
Background
New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) are now becoming more and more popular, and most of them require the use of electric energy for driving the vehicle by charging the vehicle. Typically, charging the NEV requires a considerable amount of time, e.g., from 30 minutes to several hours, etc.
Because of the long time to charge the new energy vehicle, the user may feel bored and waste time while waiting for the vehicle to charge to completion, desiring some other activity. However, when a user searches for a destination (e.g., a charging station) location through a vehicle navigation system, current vehicle navigation systems do not consider other activity needs of the user during vehicle charging, but only search for and provide a suitable destination location. In this case, during the charging of the vehicle, if the user wants to perform other activities, the user has to additionally search for a plurality of types of points of interest (POI) near the destination location and/or search for a desired point of interest according to different information types.
Accordingly, a user desires a technique that enables a navigation system to take into account the user's other activity needs and preferences when providing a destination location to suggest suitable points of interest to the user in the vicinity of the destination.

The system 100 for providing point of interest information may be, for example, a navigation system, a query system, an information push system, and any system for providing point of interest information that may interact with a user; it may be located in a vehicle, in a vehicle-mounted device, in various mobile terminals such as a mobile phone, PAD, portable computer, handheld device, etc., or in a stationary device such as a desktop, television, etc.
Fig. 2 shows a flow diagram of a method 200 for providing point of interest information according to an embodiment of the invention. The method 200 shown in fig. 2 may be implemented by the system 100, for example.
As shown in FIG. 2, at block 202, a destination is determined, such as a charging station for charging a user's vehicle, wherein determining the destination may be determined based on any suitable manner, including but not limited to based on user input including a need or request to charge the vehicle; and based on the detected current condition of the vehicle, such as "the charge of the vehicle is only 20%, the charging is required". In one example, a destination closest to the user's current location may be searched or determined, or a destination with a greater number of charging devices may be searched or determined, and so on.
At block 204, information for one or more points of interest associated with the destination may be obtained based on the determined destination. For each destination, it may have an associated point of interest or activity, such as one or more points of interest located within a predetermined distance from the destination, e.g., points of interest within 500 meters of the perimeter of the destination. The information of the points of interest may be evaluated and obtained based on multiple dimensions using any suitable weighting algorithm.
In one embodiment, the charge index I may be calculated based on equation 1 belowij
Wherein for i, the range is (0, len (destination count within n distance)); for j, the range is (0, len (count of POI types selected)); calculating the distance to the highest rated POI (DHR), calculating POI hotspots within a regular grid (e.g. 20 meters) within n distances, calculating the distance to hotspots (DH), calculating the walkability (such as the average distance between the destination of the charging station and the POI) (WA), calculating the Average Rating (AR), calculating the turn-around Ratio (RP) of the POI (time of day).
For a set of destinations, e.g. a set of charging stations, a charging index IijIs an i x j matrix. The matrix may be filtered by a time factor for different times of day. These charging indices may be presented as a sort input to a sort module or sort algorithm, or may be visually considered as a recommendation visual effect; it may also be used as a search threshold.
At block 206, information for one or more points of interest of the user may be selected from the obtained information for one or more points of interest based at least on user settings. Wherein the user settings comprise at least one of: identity information of the user, preferences of the user, historical activity records of the user. For example, if the user's identity information indicates that the user is a young woman, information about a beauty shop, a shopping mall, or the like near the destination is preferably selected; selecting information of hot pot restaurants near the destination if the user's preferences indicate that the user likes to eat hot pots; if the user's historical activity record indicates that he or she frequently visits a bank or a child attraction during vehicle charging, information of the bank or the child attraction near the destination is selected.
Wherein selecting information of one or more points of interest for the user from the obtained information of one or more points of interest further comprises: selecting information for one or more points of interest for the user based on a degree of matching of the user settings with the information of the points of interest. For example, when the user setting indicates that the user prefers to go to brand a clothing store for shopping, if there are a plurality of different clothing stores-a clothing store, B clothing store, C clothing store near the destination, where a clothing store is farthest from the destination and C clothing store is closest to the destination, then based on the information indicated by the user setting, a clothing store best matches the user preferences, and the information of a clothing store is preferably selected to be provided to the user regardless of the distance.
Additionally, the information selected for one or more points of interest of the user may also be selected based on the activity needs of the user. For example, when the user inputs "restaurant", an activity demand that the user wants to have a meal while charging the vehicle, that is, a point of interest is restaurant, may be identified, so that restaurants near the destination are searched based on the activity demand, and information of the point of interest is provided to the client. In one example, the information for the user's point of interest may be < type of POI, number of POIs, rating, popularity, distance from destination, etc. >. For example, one exemplary point of interest information may be: < restaurant: 4, the restaurant A is closest to the destination and about 50 meters, the restaurant B is evaluated highest and about 200 meters is located to the destination, the restaurant C is the most vigorous, and the restaurant C is about 500 meters.
Optionally or alternatively, the information for one or more points of interest of the user may also be selected based on predetermined rules when the user does not indicate a need for activity. The predetermined rule may include at least one of: the distance of the destination to the point of interest, the rating of the point of interest, the type of the point of interest, the open time of the point of interest, the popularity of the point of interest, the walkability of the destination to the point of interest, for example, when the identity information in the user setting indicates that the user is a young woman, the information of an exemplary point of interest may be: < shopping place: 2, supermarkets (open time 08: 00-21: 00) and convenience stores (24 hours open); leisure places: 3 cafes (cafe a is the highest, cafe B is a chain store, cafe C is the closest), 1 home theater, 2 beauty shops (beauty shop D is the highest ranking, beauty shop E is popular with young people) >.
At block 208, information may be provided to the user for one or more points of interest of the user. All of the selected point of interest information for the user may be provided to the user in a random manner or in a sequence, or a portion of the selected point of interest information for the user may be provided to the user in a random manner or in a sequence.
Fig. 3 shows a schematic diagram of a method 300 for providing point of interest information according to another embodiment of the invention. The method 300 shown in fig. 3 may be implemented by the system 100, for example.
As shown in fig. 3, the method 300 may include, at block 302, receiving a user input, such as may be received via the input interface 102 of fig. 1, where the user input may include charging demand information for the vehicle by the user. In one embodiment, the user enters his charging needs, e.g., inputs ". multidot.destination or charging station", via the touch screen to indicate his desire to search for charging stations. In another embodiment, the user may input a voice via a microphone, such as "i want to search for a destination or charging station", "vehicle is dead, please navigate to a destination or charging station", and so on. In other embodiments, the user may input the charging requirements that he or she wants to charge the vehicle in any suitable manner. Optionally, the user input may also include activity requirements that the user wants to perform a desired activity. For example, the user may input ". about. destination & lunch" or "i want to charge and shop for a car" in any manner to express the user's charging needs and activity needs.
The method 300 may also include, at block 304, determining a destination based on the demand in the user input. Alternatively, the destination may be determined based on detected vehicle conditions, such as the vehicle being low, only moving on for 20 kilometers, and needing to be charged. Additionally, a suitable destination may also be determined based on the current location of the vehicle.
At block 306, information for one or more points of interest associated with the destination may be obtained based on the determined destination. For example, information for points of interest near the destination (e.g., within 500 meters of the perimeter) may be obtained based on the determined location of the destination.
At block 308, it may be identified whether the user input contains information about the needs of the activity. In one embodiment, the information of the activity requirement may be, for example, various requirements such as "eat", "shop", "beauty", "drink coffee", "watch a movie", "get money", "play with child", and the like. It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that the examples given herein are merely exemplary activity requirements, which in other embodiments may also include any activity requirements desired by the user.
At block 310, upon identifying that the user input does not include the user's activity requirements, information for the user's points of interest may be selected based on user settings and predetermined rules. Wherein the predetermined rule comprises at least one of: distance of destination to point of interest, rating of point of interest, type of point of interest, open time of point of interest, popularity of point of interest, walkability of destination to point of interest.
At block 312, when the user input is identified as including the user's activity requirements, information for the user's points of interest is selected based on the user settings and the user's activity requirements. For example, when the activity demand of the user is "eat", information of a point of interest related to "eat", for example, information of "restaurant" near the destination may be determined. In addition, if the user setting indicates that the user prefers chinese dishes, related information of "chinese museum" near the destination may be further determined. Wherein the related information of the point of interest may be any one or more of a type, a number, a name, an address, a telephone, a distance from a destination, a rating, a popularity, a per-person consumption, and the like of the point of interest.
At block 314, one or more points of interest for the user may be ranked. These points of interest may be ranked based on any ranking method and weighting algorithm. For example, based on user settings and respective weights of activity requirements, based on weights of various points of interest in activity requirements, and so forth. Where time may be used as a factor in the ranking rules, for example, the time factors may be different on weekdays, holidays, weekends, for example, the time factor may be 06: 00-09: 00. 11: 00-13: 00. 17: 00-20: 00, while on weekends and holidays, the time factor may be 10: 00-12: 00. 13: 00-18: 00. for example, when the user is on weekday 06: 00-09: when the vehicle is charged during 00 hours, the weight of eating or drinking coffee is considered to be larger than the weight of beautifying or watching the film; and 14 on weekends or holidays: 00-17: when the vehicle is charged during 00 hours, it can be considered that the weight of "beauty" or "watching a movie" is larger than the weight of "eating". The examples given herein are merely illustrative and are provided for the purpose of better understanding of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
At block 316, information for the user's points of interest may be provided based on the ranking results for the user to select points of interest according to their own needs.
At block 318, a user selection of a point of interest, such as a first, second, or any of the provided plurality of points of interest, is received.
At block 320, based on the user selected point of interest, the system may perform navigation or other operations.
As can be seen from the above description, according to the scheme of the embodiment of the invention, the user provides the information of the interest points of other activities to the user when charging the vehicle, so that the user can make full use of the charging time of the vehicle, and better experience and suggestion can be brought to the user.
Furthermore, most recommendation systems are based on the count of points of interest or distance to points of interest. The information of the interest points in the scheme of the embodiment of the invention is based on hot points considering POI clusters. Hotspots may be a better diversity indicator than the number of POIs. The information of the points of interest of the embodiments of the present invention is also based on a spatial unit that fully accounts for the charging scenario where the user has to leave the vehicle. In addition, the information of the point of interest of the embodiment of the present invention also considers the rating, the walkability, and the open time of the customer, wherein the walkability is a unique feature for the charging scenario because the user has to leave the vehicle while the vehicle is being charged; the open time is considered to create a dynamic index, which will be more accurate than other recommendation systems.
Fig. 4 shows an exemplary diagram 400 of providing different point of interest information for the same or different users at different destinations (e.g., charging stations), according to one embodiment of the invention.
In fig. 4, the vehicle current location 401 and four different charging stations, charging station 1, charging station 2, charging station 3, charging station 4 are shown. Where reference numeral 402 denotes information of a point of interest in the vicinity of charging station 1, reference numeral 404 denotes information of a point of interest in the vicinity of charging station 2, reference numeral 406 denotes information of a point of interest in the vicinity of charging station 3, and reference numeral 408 denotes information of a point of interest in the vicinity of charging station 4.
In the example of fig. 4, a solid black circle represents a child's attraction, a solid gray circle represents a retail store, a gray circle filled with horizontal bars represents a restaurant, a gray circle filled with vertical bars represents a cafe, a gray circle filled with squares represents a bank, a gray circle filled with diagonal bars represents a movie theater, and a large circle filled with diagonal squares represents a beauty shop.
In the example of fig. 4, a nearby charging station location may be searched when the user finds that the vehicle is low on charge, while the user also wants to do some activity near the charging station while charging.
In one embodiment, the system may determine to charge the user's vehicle with charging station 1. When the vehicle is charged at the charging station 1, the system can provide information of points of interest according to user settings or user activity needs. For example, when a user setting or a user's activity needs indicate that the user wants to shop during vehicle charging, the system may provide the user with information about the retail stores near charging station 1, e.g., only the top one of 402 may be provided based on user preferences or proximity, or both may be provided to the user in sequence.
In another embodiment, the system may determine to charge the user's vehicle with the charging station 4, which may be determined based on the distance between the charging station and the current location of the vehicle, or the degree of vacancy of a charging post in the charging station, or any other factor. In the case of charging using charging station 4, the system may provide the user with information about different points of interest, for example, only the top retail store in 408 may be provided based on distance, or all retail stores in 408 may be provided in sequence.
In some examples, the system may also provide information to the user about the point of interest based on a rating or popularity for the point of interest or activity, brand popularity, etc., e.g., one of the three circles in 406 representing beauty shops may be larger, which may indicate that the shop is highly rated or popular. When the user charges the vehicle at charging station 3 and the user settings or user's activity requirements indicate that the activity he wants to perform is beauty, the system may provide/recommend to the user the beauty shop corresponding to the largest circle at the bottom right of 406.
The display in 402-408 provides the user with different ratings of points of interest around several nearby charging stations, such as the highest rating for restaurants in 402 and the highest rating for children's rides in 404, and the user can select different charging stations as desired. For example, when a user wants to eat lunch or dinner while the vehicle is charging, then 402 involving charging station 1 is ideal for the user's current activity needs; when a user wants to play with a child in the vicinity of a charging station during vehicle charging, then 404 involving charging station 2 is ideal for the user's current activity needs; when a user wants to go to a beauty shop for beauty during vehicle charging, then 406 involving charging station 3 is ideal for the user's current activity needs; additionally, when a user wants to shop during vehicle charging, then 408 involving charging station 4 is ideal for the user's current activity needs.
Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the embodiment shown in FIG. 4 is merely exemplary, and in other embodiments, the information for the user's points of interest may be provided or ordered in any other manner.
