Abstract

The invention provides a display substrate, which relates to the technical field of display, and is divided into a punching area, a display area surrounding the punching area and a packaging area positioned between the punching area and the display area, wherein the packaging area is used for arranging packaging glue; wherein the display substrate includes: the display structure comprises a substrate base plate, a display structure layer arranged on the substrate base plate and an organic light-emitting function layer arranged on one side, away from the substrate base plate, of the display structure layer; the organic light-emitting functional layer covers the display area and the packaging area; a groove is formed in the display structure layer in the packaging area, and a part of the organic light-emitting function layer is located in the groove. The invention also provides a display device, an electronic watch and a preparation method of the display substrate. The invention ensures that the boundary of the contact area of the packaging adhesive and the organic light-emitting functional layer is well packaged, thereby improving the sealing property of the display substrate packaging.

Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of display, in particular to a display substrate, a preparation method of the display substrate, a display device and an electronic watch.
Background
At present, the application of an Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) display substrate to a wearable device has become a mainstream form of small-sized display in the market, wherein a watch and a bracelet are two display products which are most widely applied.
When the hands are arranged in the watch and the bracelet, the display substrate needs to be punched in the middle, and in order to ensure the tightness of the device, the inner wall of the punched through hole needs to be packaged. However, in the process of encapsulating the encapsulation adhesive, bubbles are generated in the organic material in contact with the encapsulation adhesive, so that a gap exists between the encapsulation adhesive and the organic material, and the display substrate is not well encapsulated.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims to solve at least one technical problem in the prior art, and provides a display substrate, a preparation method thereof, a display device and an electronic watch.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a display substrate, which is divided into a punching area, a display area surrounding the punching area, and a packaging area located between the punching area and the display area, wherein the packaging area is used for arranging packaging glue; wherein the display substrate includes:
the display structure comprises a substrate base plate, a display structure layer arranged on the substrate base plate and an organic light-emitting function layer arranged on one side, away from the substrate base plate, of the display structure layer; the organic light-emitting functional layer covers the display area and the packaging area;
a groove is formed in the display structure layer in the packaging area, and a part of the organic light-emitting function layer is located in the groove.
Optionally, the recess is a continuous structure surrounding the perforated area.
Optionally, the display structure layer comprises a flat layer; the groove is located on the flat layer.
Optionally, a pixel defining layer is arranged between the organic light emitting functional layer and the flat layer, and a spacer is arranged on one side of the pixel defining layer, which is far away from the substrate;
the pixel defining layer and the spacer are both located in the display area.

Detailed Description
The following detailed description of embodiments of the invention refers to the accompanying drawings. It should be understood that the detailed description and specific examples, while indicating the present invention, are given by way of illustration and explanation only, not limitation.
Fig. 1 is a schematic partial structure diagram of a display device in the prior art, and as shown in fig. 1, the display device includes a display substrate, an encapsulation adhesive 52, and an encapsulation layer 9. The display substrate comprises a substrate 4, a display structure layer 5 and an organic light-emitting function layer 6 which are sequentially arranged. In the prior art, if a hole needs to be drilled in a display device, the sidewall of the through hole needs to be encapsulated to prevent water and oxygen from entering the inside of the display substrate to cause poor display. The substrate 4 is provided with a light emitting device, the light emitting device includes an organic light emitting function layer such as a light emitting layer, an electron transport layer, an electron injection layer, etc., wherein a portion of the organic light emitting function layer is formed by a whole surface evaporation method, so that the organic light emitting function layer 6 also exists in a packaging area, in a packaging process, bubbles 53 are generated in a contact area between the packaging glue 52 and the organic light emitting function layer 6, and the bubbles 53 cause a gap to exist in the contact area between the packaging glue 52 and the organic light emitting function layer 6, resulting in poor packaging.
Based on this, an embodiment of the present invention provides a display substrate, and fig. 2 is a top view of the display substrate provided in the embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 2, the display substrate is divided into a hole punching area 1, a display area 2 surrounding the hole punching area 1, and a packaging area 3 located between the hole punching area 1 and the display area 2, and the packaging area 3 is used for disposing a packaging adhesive. Fig. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view taken along a sectional line AA' of fig. 2 according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 3, showing that the substrate includes: the display device comprises a substrate 4, a display structure layer 5 arranged on the substrate 4 and an organic light-emitting function layer 6 arranged on one side of the display structure layer 5, which is far away from the substrate. The organic light emitting functional layer 6 covers the display region 1 and the encapsulation region 3. A recess 51 is provided on the display structure layer 5 in the encapsulation area 3, and a portion of the organic light emitting function layer 6 is located in the recess 51.
Specifically, the punching area 1 is provided with a through hole penetrating through the display substrate, and the punching area 1 may be located in a central area of the display substrate (as shown in fig. 2) or in other areas of the display substrate, which is not limited herein. The display structure layer 5 may include a flat layer, and a plurality of film layers between the flat layer and the substrate base plate 4. The organic light emitting functional layer 6 may be one or more of an Electron Transport Layer (ETL), an Electron Injection Layer (EIL), a Hole Injection Layer (HIL), and a Hole Transport Layer (HTL).
With the display substrate according to the embodiment of the present invention, the groove 51 is formed in the display structure layer 5 in the encapsulation region 3, and a portion of the organic light emitting functional layer 6 is located in the groove 51, so that when the encapsulation adhesive is provided in the encapsulation region 3, a contact region between the encapsulation adhesive and the organic light emitting functional layer 6 can be located in the groove 51. In the packaging process, at least a part of the bubbles generated by the organic light-emitting functional layer 6 can be controlled in the groove 51, so that the gap between the organic light-emitting functional layer and the packaging adhesive is positioned in the groove due to the bubbles, and the packaging adhesive which does not fall into the groove can still have a good blocking effect on external water vapor, thereby improving the sealing performance of the display substrate package.
In some embodiments, the recess 51 is a continuous structure surrounding the perforation area 1. When the continuous structure is an annular structure, the orthographic projection of the groove 51 on the substrate 4 can be the same as the orthographic projection range of the encapsulation area 3 on the substrate, so that the contact areas of the encapsulation glue and the organic light-emitting functional layer 6 at various positions in the encapsulation area 3 are all located in the groove 51.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the cross section of the groove 51 may be gradually reduced, for example, the longitudinal section of the groove 51 may be an inverted trapezoid, and the width of the top opening of the groove 51 may be the same as the width of the encapsulation area 3 in this direction.
Fig. 4 is a schematic structural diagram of the display substrate and the encapsulation adhesive and the encapsulation layer thereon according to the embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 4, the display structure layer 5 includes a flat layer 54 and a plurality of film layers 55, and the flat layer 54 is located on a side of the plurality of film layers 55 away from the substrate 1. The recess 51 is located on the planarization layer 54. A pixel defining layer 7 is arranged between the organic light-emitting function layer 6 and the flat layer 54, and a spacer 8 is arranged on the side, away from the substrate base plate 4, of the pixel defining layer 7. The pixel defining layer 7 and the spacer 8 are both located in the display area 2. In the embodiment of the present invention, the depth and the shape of the groove 51 may also be adjusted, for example, an included angle between the side wall and the bottom wall of the groove 51 is made as large as possible, so that a portion of the organic light emitting functional layer 6 located in the groove 51 during the evaporation process mainly covers the bottom wall of the groove 51, and only a small amount of or no organic light emitting functional layer 6 exists on the side wall of the groove 51, and therefore, a contact area between the encapsulation adhesive 52 and the organic light emitting functional layer 6 is located at the bottom of the groove 51, so that bubbles 53 at a boundary of the contact area between the encapsulation adhesive 52 and the organic light emitting functional layer 6 are further reduced.
Specifically, the pixel defining layer 7 may include a plurality of banks which are criss-crossed to define a plurality of pixel openings, and a portion of the organic light emitting functional layer 6 is located in the pixel openings and another portion is located on a side of the banks facing away from the base substrate 4. In addition, a light emitting layer, for example, a red light emitting layer, a green light emitting layer, a blue light emitting layer, or a white light emitting layer may be provided in the pixel opening.
The display substrate provided by the embodiment of the invention further includes an anode layer 10, and the anode layer 10 includes a plurality of anodes corresponding to the plurality of pixel openings one to one. One side of the anode departing from the substrate base plate 1 is sequentially provided with: a hole injection layer, a hole transport layer, a light emitting layer, an electron transport layer, and an electron injection layer. In the embodiment of the present invention, the organic light emitting function layer 6 covering the encapsulation region 3 and the display region 2 may be an electron transport layer and an electron injection layer.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the pixel defining layer 7 and the spacer 8 may be located only in the display region 2, and the organic light emitting functional layer 6, the planarization layer 54 may be located in the display region 2 and the encapsulation region 3. Therefore, when the display substrate is manufactured, only the patterns of the mask plate for forming the planarization layer 54, the pixel defining layer 7 and the spacer 8 need to be changed, and other processes do not need to be changed, so that the manufacturing process is simplified.
Based on the same inventive concept, the embodiment of the invention further provides a display device, which comprises the display substrate and the packaging adhesive arranged in the packaging area of the display substrate. Wherein, the packaging adhesive is glass adhesive (frit adhesive).
Specifically, as shown in fig. 4, the encapsulation adhesive 52 is located in the encapsulation area 3, the display device further includes an encapsulation layer 9, the encapsulation layer 9 is located on a side of the encapsulation adhesive 52 away from the substrate base plate 1, and the encapsulation adhesive 52 is used for bonding the encapsulation layer 9 and the display base plate into a whole to complete encapsulation of the display device. The packaging process needs to carry out steps such as laser sintering and high-temperature curing on the packaging adhesive 52, and this process can cause bubbles 53 to be generated in the connection area between the packaging adhesive 52 and the organic light-emitting functional layer 6, and the bubbles 53 can cause gaps to exist in the connection area between the organic light-emitting functional layer 6 and the packaging adhesive 52, which results in poor packaging of the display device. In the embodiment of the present invention, since the groove 51 is disposed on the display structure layer 5 having the display substrate, so that the contact area between the encapsulation adhesive 52 and the organic light emitting functional layer 6 is located in the groove 51, even if the bubble 53 is generated during the encapsulation process, the bubble 53 is located in the groove 51, thereby improving the encapsulation effect. After the packaging is finished, the punching area 1 of the display device is punched through the punching device to form a through hole penetrating through the display device, and at the moment, the periphery of the through hole is sealed by the packaging adhesive 52, so that water and oxygen are prevented from entering the display device from the through hole to influence a display device in the display device, and poor display is prevented.
Based on the same inventive concept, the embodiment of the invention also provides an electronic watch, wherein the electronic watch comprises hands, a display device and a movement arranged on the backlight side of the display device. Wherein the backlight side of the display device is the side facing away from the light emission. The display device is the display device, and the pointer penetrates through the punching area of the display device and is connected with the movement.

According to the display substrate adopting the preparation method provided by the embodiment of the invention, the groove is formed in the display structure layer in the packaging area, and a part of the organic light-emitting function layer is positioned in the groove, so that when packaging glue is arranged in the packaging area, the contact area of the packaging glue and the organic light-emitting function layer can be positioned in the groove. In the packaging process, the contact area of the packaging adhesive and the organic light-emitting function layer is positioned in the groove, so that bubbles generated by the organic light-emitting function layer can be controlled in the groove, no bubble exists at the boundary (the part close to the display area or the part close to the punching area) of the contact area of the packaging adhesive and the organic light-emitting function layer, the boundary packaging of the contact area of the packaging adhesive and the organic light-emitting function layer is ensured to be good, and the sealing performance of the display substrate is improved.
In some embodiments, the recess is a continuous structure surrounding the perforated area. The display structure layer comprises a flat layer, the flat layer is positioned between the organic light-emitting function layer and the substrate, and the groove is positioned on the flat layer. In order to simplify the manufacturing process, the planarization layer may be made of a photosensitive material, and when the grooves are formed, the planarization layer may be exposed using a Halftone (Halftone) mask and then developed. The half-tone mask plate comprises a half-transmitting area, wherein the half-transmitting area corresponds to an area where a groove is to be formed, so that a part of a flat layer corresponding to the half-transmitting area is removed after development, and the groove is formed.

the pixel defining layer and the spacer are both located in the display area.
