Background
With the development of Organic Light Emitting Display (OLED) technology, particularly flexible display technology, foldable flexible display products have come closer and closer to our lives.
As shown in fig. 1, a schematic plan view of a conventional foldable display device, a foldable display device 90 includes a foldable structure 91 and a display panel 92, and the display panel 92 is a flexible display panel and is partially or completely fixed in a non-foldable area 911 and a foldable area 912 of the foldable structure 91. Since the stress generated when each layer of the display panel 92 is bent is different, and the smaller the bending radius, the larger the stress, the more likely the risk of peeling or breaking between different layers occurs, so the bending radius of the folding structure 91 cannot be too small at present.
As shown in fig. 2, which is a schematic structural diagram of the folded display device 90 in fig. 1, a stress problem exists when the flexible display panel 92 is bent in the corresponding folding region 912, so that a certain stress is generated between the folded flexible display panel 92 and the folding structure 91, the flexible display panel 92 is wrinkled in the folding region 912, a large stress is generated in the bending region 921 of the flexible display panel 92, and if there is not enough buffer space around the bending region 921, the stress cannot be released, so that the bending region 921 is excessively concentrated to cause a fracture or wrinkle phenomenon.
Therefore, a suitable mechanical component needs to be arranged inside the display device, so that after the flexible display panel is bent, the bending area can naturally expand the appearance, stress is released, and damage caused by bending is avoided.
