Detailed Description
The present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples.
For the 5G non-independent networking mode, the control plane is anchored on the 4G network, and the VoLTE scheme used by the voice service is a natural choice; for the 5G independent networking mode, 3GPP proposes two schemes, a VoNR scheme and an EPS Fallback scheme. The VoNR scheme refers to that a 5G access network and a core network provide an IMS-based voice service, while the EPS Fallback scheme refers to that a terminal drops back 4G when initiating an IMS call on the 5G, and establishes a VoLTE voice service through the 4G access network and the core network, where the drop-back mode may be handover or the like.
In the 5G system, the terminal call establishment procedure mainly includes the following steps:
step 1: the terminal starts up, after a 5G cell is selected to reside, a start-up registration process (Register) is firstly carried out, then a Protocol data unit Session (PDU Session) establishment process is carried out, namely, a QoS flow with a first level (for example, the level is 5) is established to bear Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) signaling, and then an IMS registration process is initiated. And when the terminal finishes IMS registration, entering an idle state.
Step 2: the terminal initiatively initiates a call in an idle state, or after receiving a paging message as a called party, first performs a Service Request (Service Request) process, reestablishes a Quality of Service (QoS) flow with a first level (for example, level 5) for carrying SIP signaling, and then sends an SIP Invite (Invite) signaling to the IMS.
And step 3: after receiving the request, the IMS notifies the core network to prepare for bearer establishment, and then the core network requests the base station to establish a QoS stream of a second level (for example, level 1) to carry the voice service, and at this time, the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme are distinguished: if the base station selects the EPS Fallback scheme, the base station refuses to establish the QoS flow of the voice service, executes the EPS Fallback process, namely, the terminal is switched or redirected to 4G, and then the terminal completes the VoLTE call establishment on the 4G; if the base station selects the VoNR scheme, the Qos flow of the voice service is established, and the establishment of the terminal is required by issuing a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message until the VoNR voice establishment process is completed.
In the case of having the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme, the terminal voice scheme capability may not match with the voice scheme capability of the network side, for example, the terminal supports only the EPS Fallback voice scheme, and the network side supports only the VoNR voice scheme. For this scenario, a call failure is caused at this time, and the call failure delay is long.
The reason why there is a delay in this scenario is analyzed in detail below.
The call process in this scenario includes:
firstly, a terminal only supporting an EPS Fallback voice scheme actively initiates a call in an idle state, or after receiving a paging message as a called party, first performs a Service Request process, reestablishes a QoS flow of a first level (for example, a level of 5, 5QI ═ 5) to carry an SIP signaling, and then sends the SIP Invite signaling to the IMS.
Here, for the idle terminal, a Service Request procedure needs to be initiated first, and after a data bearer (i.e., DRB) used between the terminal and the base station is established to be capable of carrying the SIP signaling, the SIP Invite signaling can be sent.
Then, after receiving the request, the IMS notifies the core network to prepare for bearer establishment, and then the core network requests the base station to establish a QoS stream of a second level (for example, level 1) for carrying the voice service, at this time, since the base station only supports the VoNR voice scheme, the base station selects the VoNR voice scheme, the base station establishes a QoS stream of the voice service, and requests the terminal to establish by issuing an RRC connection reconfiguration message, and the terminal will refuse to establish because the terminal does not support the VoNR voice scheme, resulting in call failure.
As can be seen from the above process, the entire call failure process includes the complete Service Request process and the first part of the Invite process, and the corresponding delay includes the delay generated by the complete Service Request process and the part of the Invite process; the first part of the Invite procedure is from the time when the terminal sends the Invite message to the time when the base station fails to trigger the RRC connection reconfiguration procedure, and the call failure delay is expected to be several seconds, which may seriously affect the user experience.
Based on this, in various embodiments of the present invention, the core network device notifies the terminal of the voice call scheme used when performing the voice service.
Specifically, the first network device notifies the terminal of first information; the first information represents a voice call scheme used when the terminal performs a voice service. The core network side informs the terminal of the voice calling scheme used during voice service, so that the terminal can determine to select the voice scheme, thereby avoiding call failure caused by mismatching of the voice scheme capabilities of the terminal and the network side, further greatly reducing time delay caused by call failure and improving user experience.
An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for processing a voice service, which is applied to a first network device, and as shown in fig. 1, the method includes:
step 100: determining first information;
here, the first information represents a voice call scheme used when the terminal performs a voice service.
In practical application, the first network device is a core network element, such as an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF), and the like.
Specifically, the first information is determined by using first capability information of the terminal and second capability information of a second network device.
Wherein the first capability information characterizes the capability of the voice scheme supported by the terminal; the second capability information characterizes a capability of a voice scheme supported by the second network device.
Here, in an embodiment, before the network element of the core network, that is, the first network device receives the IMS notification and prepares to establish the voice bearer, the first information is determined.
Since the first information is determined using the first capability information and the second capability information, the first network device needs to obtain these information.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the method may further include:
and receiving the first capability information reported by the terminal.
The receiving of the first capability information reported by the terminal may include one of the following manners:
receiving the reported first capability information in the process of starting up and registering or in the process of TAU;
receiving the reported first capability information through second network equipment; the second network equipment obtains the first capability information through an air interface;
and the first network equipment or the second network equipment actively requests and then receives the reported first capability information.
Here, in actual application, during a power-on registration process or during a TAU process, the terminal may add a terminal voice scheme Capability to the UE Capability (for example, UE 5GC Capability) to report the first Capability information.
In practical application, the second network device may be a base station, and when the reported first capability information is received by the second network device, the terminal may report the first capability information to the base station through an air interface, for example, through messages such as an RRC connection establishment request, an RRC connection establishment completion, and an RRC reconfiguration completion, and the base station may report the first capability information to the first network device again.
For the way that the first network device or the second network device actively requests to report the first capability information, in actual application, an access network element (e.g., a base station gNB, etc.) or a core network element (e.g., an AMF, etc.) may actively initiate a voice scheme capability query for the terminal, and the terminal reports to the access network element and then reports to the first network device through the access network.
In an embodiment, the capability of the voice scheme supported by the terminal may be one of the following:
support for the VoNR scheme only;
only the EPS Fallback scheme is supported;
simultaneously supporting a VoNR scheme and an EPS Fallback scheme;
the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme are simultaneously supported, and the VoNR scheme (the second time of the EPS Fallback scheme) or the EPS Fallback scheme (the second time of the VoNR scheme) is prioritized.
As shown in fig. 2, the voice service establishment procedure corresponding to the EPS Fallback scheme may include:
step 201: a terminal initiates an IMS voice session (a calling party or a called party), and triggers a voice QoS flow establishing process, namely MOor MT IMS voice session in 5GS, Qos flow for voice interest initialization;
step 202: the 5G core network establishes the QoS flow of the IMS voice by initiating PDU session modification, namely NW (NetWork) initiated PDU session modification to setup QoS flow for IMS voice;
step 203: the 5G base station executes an EPS Fallback process to the terminal, namely Trigger for Fallback, and optional Measurement Report Solicitation;
here, in this procedure, the 5G base station performs an EPS Fallback procedure according to the measurement report.
Step 204: the 5G base station refuses the PDU session modification of the core network, because the drop of IMS Voice is required, namely, the Reject PDU session modification indication IMS Voice Fallback in progress;
step 205: the terminal is switched or redirected to the EPS, namely the Redirection or Handover to EPS;
step 206 a: the terminal initiates a Tracking Area Update (TAU) process, namely a TAU Procedure, on the 4G network;
step 206 b: a terminal initiates an attachment process on a 4G network, and a Packet Data Network (PDN) connection establishment request is accompanied, wherein the request reason is handover (Attach), namely Attach with PDN connectivity request with request type 'handover';
step 207: the 4G network initiates PDN connection modification to establish a special voice bearer, namely NW initiated PDN connection modification to setup specified bearer for voice;
step 208: and continuing the IMS Voice session establishment process, namely IMS Voice session establishment.
In an embodiment, the method may further comprise:
and receiving the second capability information reported by the second network equipment.
Wherein, the receiving the second capability information reported by the second network device includes one of the following modes:
receiving reported second capability information in the process of establishing and/or updating an interface between the second network equipment and the first network equipment;
and receiving the reported second capability information after the first network equipment actively requests.
Here, for the manner in which the first network device actively requests to report the second capability information, when actually applying, the core network element (such as the AMF, etc.) may actively initiate a voice scheme capability query for the second network device, and the second network device reports the second capability information to the first network device.
In an embodiment, the capability of the voice scheme supported by the second network device may be one of:
support for the VoNR scheme only;
only the EPS Fallback scheme is supported;
simultaneously supporting a VoNR scheme and an EPS Fallback scheme;
the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme are simultaneously supported, and the VoNR scheme (the second time of the EPS Fallback scheme) or the EPS Fallback scheme (the second time of the VoNR scheme) is prioritized.
It should be noted that: in practical application, the reporting sequence of the voice scheme capabilities of the terminal and the second network device may be that the terminal reports first and the second network device reports second, or that the second network device reports first and the terminal reports second.
In an embodiment, the determining the first information by using the first capability information of the terminal and the second capability information of the second network device includes:
matching the first capability information with the second capability information to obtain a matching result;
and determining the first information by using the matching result.
More specifically, when the matching result represents that the first capability information and the second capability information are matched, selecting a voice scheme from a voice scheme set commonly supported by the terminal and the second network equipment;
determining the first information based on the selected speech scheme.
Here, the matching of the first capability information and the second capability information means: the voice scheme capability supported by the terminal is partially or completely the same as the voice scheme capability supported by the second network equipment.
Accordingly, the voice scheme in the voice scheme set is a voice scheme supported by the terminal with the same voice scheme capability as that supported by the network side.
In an embodiment, the selecting a voice scheme from a set of voice schemes commonly supported by the terminal and the second network device includes:
and selecting a voice scheme according to the selection priority of the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme reported by the terminal, or according to the selection priority of the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme reported by the second network device.
That is, in this case, the terminal supports the voice scheme with the capability of simultaneously supporting the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme; the voice scheme capability supported by the second network device also supports the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme at the same time.
In practical application, the first network device may select the voice service by using the selection priority reported by the second network device according to needs, or select the voice service by using the selection priority reported by the terminal.
Here, the first network device needs the terminal and the second network device to report the selection priority of the vorr scheme and the epshellback scheme so as to determine the selected voice scheme.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the method may further include:
and receiving the selection priority of the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme reported by the terminal.
In practical application, similar to the way of reporting the first capability information, for example, when the first capability information reported by the terminal is received in the process of startup registration or in the process of TAU, the selection priority of the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme reported by the terminal may also be received in the process of startup registration or in the process of TAU; for another example, when the reported first capability information is received by the second network device, the selection priority of the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme reported by the terminal may also be received by the second network device.
That is, in actual use, the reception selection priority is received in the same manner as the reception capability information. That is, the capability information and the selection priority are reported simultaneously in a message or in a triggering mode; accordingly, the reported capability information and the selection priority are received simultaneously in one message or in a triggered manner.
In an embodiment, the method may further comprise:
and receiving the selection priority of the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme reported by the second network equipment.
Here, in actual application, similar to the way of reporting the second capability information, for example, when the reported second capability information is received in the process of establishing and/or updating the interface between the second network device and the first network device, the selection priority of the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme reported by the second network device may also be received in the process of establishing and/or updating the interface between the second network device and the first network device; for another example, when the reported second capability information is received after the active request of the first network device, the selection priority of the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme reported by the second network device may also be received after the active request of the first network device.
That is, in actual use, the reception selection priority is received in the same manner as the reception capability information. That is, the capability information and the selection priority are reported simultaneously in a message or in a triggering mode; correspondingly, the reported capability information and the selection priority of the second network device are received simultaneously in a message or in a triggering mode.
In practical application, when the matching result indicates that the first capability information and the second capability information are not matched, other network elements, such as the second network device, the IMS, the terminal, and the like, need to be notified in time.
Based on this, in an embodiment, when the matching result indicates that the first capability information and the second capability information are not matched, the terminal is notified that the supported voice scheme capability is not matched with the supported voice scheme capability of the second network device.
Specifically, the terminal and/or the IMS are notified that the voice scheme capability supported by the terminal does not match the voice scheme capability supported by the second network device.
And when the terminal is a calling party, carrying information representing that the voice scheme capability supported by the terminal is not matched with the voice scheme capability supported by the second network equipment in Register project signaling or other signaling and sending the information to the terminal.
Specifically, bits may be utilized in Register Reject signaling or other signaling to indicate that the voice scheme capability supported by the terminal does not match the voice scheme capability supported by the second network device, for example, the voice scheme capability reported by the terminal is not supported by 1-bit indication information.
Here, the other signaling may be TAU reject signaling.
When the terminal is a terminal with priority for Voice service (i.e., a Voice-centric User Equipment (UE)), after receiving the notification, the terminal needs to leave the current network to enable the network supporting the Voice scheme of the terminal.
If the current terminal is called, no matter the terminal is in a connected state, an idle state or an inactive state, the first network device may only notify the IMS that the voice scheme capability supported by the terminal is not matched with the voice scheme capability supported by the second network device, so that the base station does not need to page the terminal any more, thereby saving subsequent signaling overhead.
In practical application, the first network device may further notify a second network device that the voice scheme capability supported by the terminal does not match the voice scheme capability supported by the second network device.
Step 101: informing the terminal of first information;
specifically, when the terminal is a calling party, the first information is carried in Register Accept signaling or other signaling and is sent to the terminal;
and when the terminal is called, notifying the terminal of the first information after the DRB for bearing the voice service is established.
Here, the used voice call scheme may be directly carried in the Register Accept signaling or other signaling, such as the VoNR scheme, or the EPS Fallback scheme, or both.
It is also possible to use bits in the Register Accept signaling or other signaling to indicate the used voice call scheme, such as the voice scheme supporting the terminal to report through the 1-bit indication information.
Wherein, in actual application, the other signaling may be TAU accept (accept) signaling or the like.
In an embodiment, when notifying the first information, the method may further include:
notifying the terminal of second information; the second information characterizes the valid range in which the voice call scheme can be used, i.e. the capability of the first network device to be implicitly informed of the valid range of the terminal is such that it can be used later when the terminal performs voice services within this range.
Here, in practical applications, the valid range may be represented by a Tracking Area (TA), such as 1 TA, or 1 TA list (list).
Correspondingly, the embodiment of the invention also provides a processing method of the voice service, which is applied to the terminal and comprises the following steps:
receiving first information notified by a first network device; the first information represents a voice call scheme used when the terminal performs a voice service.
Here, when the voice service is subsequently initiated after the first information is received, the voice service is performed by using the voice call scheme represented by the first information.
In an embodiment, the method further comprises:
reporting first capability information; wherein the first capability information characterizes the capability of the voice scheme supported by the terminal; the capability information is used for the first network device to select a scheme of the voice call for voice service.
In practical application, the terminal may report the capability information by means of some messages or existing flows, so as to reduce signaling overhead.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the reporting the first capability information may include one of the following manners:
reporting first capability information in a starting-up registration process or a TAU process;
reporting the first capability information through the second network equipment; the second network equipment interacts with the terminal through an air interface;
the first network equipment or the second network equipment reports the first capacity information after actively requesting.
Here, when the terminal supports the voice scheme with the capability of simultaneously supporting the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme, the voice service preference of the terminal may also be set, that is, the selection priority may be set, for example, the VoNR scheme may be set to be prior to the EPS Fallback scheme, or the EPS Fallback scheme may be set to be prior to the VoNR scheme.
At this time, the terminal side voice service preference setting may be reported.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the capability of the voice scheme supported by the terminal is to support the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme simultaneously; when reporting the first capability information, the method may further include:
reporting the selection priority of the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme; the selection priority is used for a scheme for the first network device to select a voice call.
In one embodiment, the terminal is a caller; the method may further comprise:
and receiving a message that the voice scheme capability supported by the terminal and the voice scheme capability supported by the second network equipment are not matched, and prohibiting voice service or selecting a cell capable of supporting the self voice scheme capability to initiate an access process.
That is, the terminal does not initiate voice service or leave the current network to another network supporting its own voice service.
In an embodiment, when receiving the first information of the notification, the method may further include:
receiving the notified second information; the second information characterizes a valid range in which the voice call scheme can be used.
Correspondingly, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a method for processing a voice service, which is applied to a second network device, and as shown in fig. 3, the method includes:
step 300: determining second capability information;
step 301: and reporting the second capability information to the first network equipment.
Wherein the second capability information characterizes a capability of a voice scheme supported by the second network device; the second capability information is used for the scheme of the voice call of the first network equipment to carry out voice service.
Here, in practical applications, the second network device may be an access network element, such as a base station (evolved node b (enb) or 5G node b (gnb)).
In practical application, the second network device may report the capability information by using some messages or existing procedures, so as to reduce signaling overhead.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the reporting the second capability information includes one of the following manners:
reporting second capability information in the process of establishing and/or updating an interface between the first network equipment and the second network equipment;
and reporting second capability information after the first network equipment actively requests.
Here, when the capability of the voice scheme supported by the second network device is to support both the VoNR scheme and the epshellback scheme, the voice service preference of the terminal may also be set, that is, the selection priority may be set, for example, the VoNR scheme may be set first to the EPS Fallback scheme, or the EPS Fallback scheme may be set first to the VoNR scheme.
At this time, the voice service preference setting of the second network device side may be reported.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the capability of the voice scheme supported by the second network device is to support the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme simultaneously; when reporting the second capability information, the method may further include:
reporting the selection priority of the VoNR scheme and the EPS Fallback scheme; the selection priority is used for a scheme for the first network device to select a voice call.
An embodiment of the present invention further provides a method for processing a voice service, and as shown in fig. 4, the method includes:
step 400: the terminal reports the first capacity information to the first network equipment, and the second network equipment reports the second capacity information to the first network equipment;
here, the first capability information characterizes a capability of a voice scheme supported by the terminal; the second capability information characterizes a capability of a voice scheme supported by the second network device.
