Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a trim for a vehicle cabin, said trim having at least one supporting surface and at least one movable display device, the movable display device defining a movable display area, the movable display device being movable relative to the supporting surface between a stowed position in which the surface of the movable display area visible from outside the trim is reduced or zero and at least one deployed position in which the surface of the movable display area visible from outside the trim is greater than the surface of the movable display area visible from outside the trim in the stowed position.
Background
In the context of so-called "automatic" vehicles, in which the driver intervention for the purpose of driving the vehicle is reduced, even almost zero, the cabin arrangement can be adjustable to improve the humanization of the vehicle. Thus, it is contemplated that information regarding the driving of the vehicle or its geographic location may be displayed, and alternatively, that some vehicle functions may be controlled at other locations than a conventional dashboard disposed in front of the driver.
Disclosure of Invention
One of the objects of the present invention is to propose a trim for a vehicle cabin which allows integration of a plurality of functions, one of which is an integrated display device.
To this end, the invention relates to a vehicle trim of the aforementioned type in which a movable display is carried by an arm that is movable between the stowed position and the deployed position, the movable display being pivotally movable relative to the arm.
In the deployed position, the arm may bring the display device to a position in which the display device extends within the field of view of one or more passengers of the vehicle, the display device being rotatable relative to the arm to improve the visibility of the display area. Thus, the display device can be positioned in the vehicle cabin in a human-friendly manner and can be used as an instrument panel instead of a conventional instrument panel provided on the instrument panel of the vehicle.
The following further optional features are used according to the invention alone or in any technically feasible combination:
-the arm is mounted slidably with respect to the support surface along a deployment path between a stowed position and a deployed position, the axis of rotation of the mobile display device being substantially perpendicular to a tangent of said deployment path;
-the unwinding path extends along a curve;
-the movable display is rotatably movable between a portrait (portrait) position in which the movable display extends along the arm, and a scene (scene) position in which the movable display extends substantially perpendicular to the arm;
the trim further having a fixed display means defining a fixed display area, the fixed display means extending protrudingly relative to the support surface such that the fixed display area is visible from outside the trim, the arm and the movable display means being slidable along a lower surface of the fixed display means opposite the fixed display area such that in a stowed position of the movable display means at least a portion of the movable display area of the movable display means is covered by the fixed display area of the fixed display means;
-in the stowed position of the movable display device, the movable display area is completely covered by the fixed display area;
-the movable display and the arm are movable between a stowed position and a deployed position relative to a bezel disposed in the trim such that the arm moves outwardly of the bezel when moving from the stowed position to the deployed position;
the fixture further has a container defining a storage space extending below the support surface, the container being movable relative to the support surface between a closed position in which the storage space is closed by the support surface and at least one open position in which at least a portion of the container is spaced from the support surface, the storage space being accessible;
-the trim piece forms a center console of a vehicle cabin, the center console extending between at least two seats of the vehicle;
the active display device is movable in a plurality of deployed positions in which the active display area surface is visible to a greater or lesser extent.

Detailed Description
Herein, the term "longitudinal" is defined in terms of the front-rear direction of the vehicle, the term "lateral" is defined in terms of the width of the vehicle, and the term "height" is defined in terms of the height of the vehicle.
A seat 1 for a vehicle is described with reference to the accompanying drawings, the seat being intended to be placed in a vehicle cabin intended to receive one or more passengers of the vehicle. The vehicle is, for example, a motor vehicle. However, of course, the present invention is applicable to any type of vehicle. The seat 1 is mounted on the floor of the vehicle, the orientation of the seat relative to the floor being changeable, for example, as will be described later.
Generally, the seat 1 has a seat portion 2 on which a passenger sits, and a backrest 4 on which the back of the passenger can lean. The position of the seat 1 can be adjusted in order to change its position in the cabin, for example to move the seat away from or close to the dashboard of the vehicle. For this purpose, the seat part 2 of the seating arrangement 1 is, as is known per se, mounted so as to be movable in translation on a guide rail which is fixed to the vehicle floor and extends in the longitudinal direction. Thus, the entire seat 1 can be moved in the longitudinal direction by adjusting the position of the seat 2 relative to the guide rails. Also typically, the inclination of the seat 2 and/or the backrest 4 is adjustable. Thus, the angle between the seat 2 and the longitudinal direction and/or the angle between the backrest 4 and the vehicle height direction can be adjusted in order to vary the inclination of the seat according to the comfort of the passengers. According to one embodiment, the inclination of the seat 2 and the backrest 4 can be adjusted independently of each other according to one operating mode, while the inclination of the seat 2 and the backrest 4 can be adjusted synchronously according to another operating mode. Thus, according to one mode of operation, the user can adjust the inclination of the seat 2 accordingly without changing the inclination of the backrest 4, adjusting the inclination of the backrest 4 without changing the inclination of the seat 2. According to another operating mode, a change in the inclination of the seat 2, respectively of the backrest 4, results in a corresponding change of the backrest 4, respectively of the seat 2.
According to one embodiment, the seat 1 is also mounted so as to be pivotable with respect to the floor, so as to allow the orientation of the seat to be determined with respect to the other seats of the vehicle. Thus, during an automatic driving phase of the vehicle without intervention by the driver, the seat 1 can, for example, be turned towards other seats, whereas during a manual driving phase, the seat can be turned towards the windscreen. For this purpose, the seat 1 can be moved in a rotary manner, for example about an axis a extending substantially perpendicularly to the floor, i.e. in the height direction.
Thus, the position and orientation of the seat 1, its seat 2 and its backrest 4 are adjustable in the vehicle cabin.
The seat part 2 of the seat 1 has at least one seat part 6, for example a cushion, which is faced. The seat 6 defines a receiving surface 8 for receiving a seat occupant, i.e. for the occupant to sit on when the seat is mounted in the seat 1.
The seat 2 is delimited in the longitudinal direction by a rear edge 10, a front edge 12 and in the transverse direction by two side edges 14. The rear edge 10 extends in the vicinity of the backrest 4, and the front edge 12 forms a free edge of the seat 2 opposite the rear edge 10. Thus, when an occupant sits on the seat 1, his back rests on the backrest 4 near the rear edge 10, his thighs rest on the receiving surface 8, and his knees are beyond the receiving surface 8 near the front edge 12. The side edges 14 extend between the rear edge 10 and the front edge 12 on both sides of the receiving surface 8.
As shown in fig. 1, two seats 1 are arranged side by side with each other, for example, in the transverse direction, with a space separating the two seats.
At least the trim 16 is arranged in the cabin. The trim 16 extends, for example, along one of the side edges 14 of the seat 1, for example in the space between two seats. Thus, according to this embodiment, the trim 16 is the center console of the vehicle, extending between the two front seats of the vehicle. However, of course, the present invention may be applied to other types of garnishes, such as a seat armrest, a rear console disposed at a rear seat of a vehicle, and the like. The trim 16 defines a bearing surface 17, which is formed, for example, by the upper surface of the trim 16. The support surface 17 may, for example, enable an occupant of the seat adjacent to the trim 16 to rest his elbow and his forearm on the support surface 17. In a variant or as a supplement, at least a part of the support surface 17 may be shaped for receiving an article, thus forming a bag.
The fixture 16 according to the invention also has an active display device 18 defining a display area 20 capable of displaying information and/or audiovisual content or the like relating to the vehicle and/or to at least one device connected to the active display device 18, such as a portable electronic device. The active display 18 is formed, for example, by a touch screen, i.e. a screen which can handle one or more functions relating to the vehicle or to a device connected to the display 18. To this end, the display area 20 is covered, for example, with a capacitive membrane connected to the vehicle controls, or with any other component that may allow a user to interact with the display area 20 by touching and/or approaching it with a finger. Thus, a user may interact with active display device 18 to control one or more functions of the vehicle, such as to control an air conditioning system and/or an audio system and/or to change the display of display area 20. The active display device 18 may also be arranged to allow control of one or more functions of a device connected to the display device and/or to control or set parameters for the audiovisual content displayed on the display device 18. The connection of the devices, for example the connection of portable electronic devices such as cell phones or "smart phones" etc., may be made in any known manner, by wireless connection or other means. Such portable electronic components can be received, for example, in the vicinity of the display device 18, for example in a profile arranged for this purpose in the support surface 17.
The movable display device 18 is mounted on an arm 22 which extends near the front edge of the trim 16 so that the display area 20 extends in a space visible to an occupant of the seat 1 extending on either side of the trim 16. Furthermore, in this space, the occupant's hand of the seat 1 is easily able to get the touch function of operating the active display device 18 because when the occupant sits in one of the seats 1, his hand is positioned near the active display device 18. The movable display device 18 is in particular accessible when the occupant of the seat 1 rests his arm on the support surface 17 formed by the trim 16.
The movable display 18 is mounted on a free end portion 24 of the arm 22 extending forwardly of the trim piece 16 so that the movable display is pivotally movable relative to the arm 22 between a portrait position in which the movable display 18 extends along the arm, as shown in fig. 2 and 3, and at least one scenery position in which the display extends generally perpendicular to the arm 22, as shown in fig. 1 and 4. The movable display device 18 is, for example, substantially rectangular. Thus, in the portrait position, the length of the movable display 18 is generally aligned along the direction in which the arm 22 extends, and in the scene position, the length of the movable display 18 extends generally perpendicular to the direction in which the arm 22 extends. Accordingly, the axis of rotation B of the movable display device 18 is substantially perpendicular to the direction in which the arm 22 extends. In the scenery position, as shown on the left seat 1 of fig. 1, the movable display 18 may extend above the seat 2, for example, projecting from one side of the arm 22, when the axis of rotation B of the movable display 18 and the fixed member extend near one edge of the movable display 18. According to one embodiment, the rotation in one direction brings the display device 18 over the seat 2 of one of the seats 1 extending on both sides of the trim, and the rotation in the other direction brings the display device 18 over the seat 2 of the other seat 1, the orientation of the image displayed by the display device 18 being automatically adapted to the position of the display device. Thus, according to this embodiment, the display device 18 can be placed in two different scene positions. In a modification, as shown in fig. 4, when the rotation axis B of the movable display device 18 and the fixed member extend substantially at the center of the movable display device 18, the display device 18 extends on both sides of the arm 22.
According to one embodiment, the active display device 18 is removably secured to the arm 22 such that the active display device 18 is detachable from the arm 22 for handheld use by a user, as is the case with portable electronic devices such as touch pads and the like.
The arm 22, and thus the movable display 18 carried by the arm 22, is also mounted for movement relative to the support surface 17 between a stowed position in which the viewable surface of the display area 20 is reduced or zero, and at least one deployed position in which the viewable surface of the display area 20 is increased, being greater than the viewable surface of the display area 20 in the stowed position, as shown in fig. 1-4, in which a plurality of different deployed positions are shown. By visible surface is meant the part of the display area 20 visible from outside the trim piece 16, in particular the part visible to a person sitting on one of the seats 1 extending on both sides of the trim piece 16.
Thus, in the stowed position, the display area 20 is largely obscured, i.e. the largest part of the display area 20, and even the entire display area, is not visible from outside the trim piece 16. According to one embodiment, in the stowed position, only the portion of the display area 20 extending near an edge of the movable display 18 is visible from outside the trim piece 16. The visible portion extends, for example, so as to protrude from the support surface 17, so that small amounts of information, such as control icons for functions, time information, etc., can be displayed.
According to one embodiment, the covered portion of the display area 20 extends within the trim 16. For example, in this embodiment, the cover portion of the display area 20 extends below the support surface 17 and is not visible from outside the trim piece. In particular, according to the embodiment shown in fig. 2 to 4, the covering portion of the display area 20 extends in a bezel 26, said bezel 26 extending in or under the trim 16, the bezel having an opening which opens into the front of the trim 16 in the vicinity of the support surface 17.
The arm 22 is mounted to slide within the bezel 26 between a stowed position, in which the arm 22 extends primarily within the bezel 26, and an extreme deployed position, in which the arm 22 extends largely out of the bezel 26 projecting from the opening to the front of the trim 16. Thus, the arm 22 moves out of the pocket 26 when moving from the stowed position to the deployed position.
In the stowed position, the movable display 18 is in a portrait position so as to be received in the slot seat 26. In the extreme extended position, the movable display 18 may be positioned in a portrait or landscape position, depending on the user's preference and/or the type of content displayed on the display area 20, because the movable display 18 extends entirely outside of the bezel 26.
Between the stowed position and the extreme deployed position, the arm and the movable display 18 may be disposed in a plurality of intermediate deployed positions in which the visible surface of the display area 20 of the movable display 18 is more or less visible. In these extended positions, the display device 18 therefore projects more or less from the support surface 17 in order to change the visible surface of the display area 20.
The movable display 18 may be placed in a portrait or landscape position or may be removed from the arm 22 when the arm 22 is sufficiently extended from the slot housing 26.
According to one embodiment, the arms 22 have a curved shape so as to define a concavity facing the backrest 4 of one or more seats 1 when the arms 22 are in the deployed position. In other words, the concavity is toward the rear of the vehicle. Thus, the sliding of the arm 22 relative to the trim 16 between the stowed and deployed positions occurs along a deployment path that extends along a curve, thereby providing a pleasing aesthetic appearance to the deployment motion of the movable display device 18. In this case, the axis of rotation B of the movable display device 18 is substantially perpendicular to the tangent of the deployment path. Furthermore, when the arms 22 are in the extreme deployed position as shown in fig. 1 and 4, the curved shape of the arms 22 allows the movable display device 18 to be brought towards the back 4 of the seat 1 extending on either side of the trim 16, thereby bringing the movable display device 18 close to the occupant of the seat 1 to improve the visibility and accessibility of the display area 20. In particular, as shown in fig. 1 and 4, in the extreme deployed position, the display area 20 extends, for example, in the field of view of an occupant of one of the seats when leaning against the backrest 4, without the occupant needing to look down and/or tilt their head.
By way of example, the active display device 18 may assume at least the following positions:
a stowed position in which the display area 20 of the active display device 18 is completely covered,
a first extended position in which only the upper part of the display area 20 is visible, as previously described, and
an extreme deployed position in which the entire display area 20 is visible, in which the display device 18 can be rotated, as previously described.
The size of the information displayed on the display area 20 may automatically adapt to the visible surface of the display area 20, for example, depending on where the active display device 18 is located.
The display provided by the active display device 18 is thus adjustable, being adaptable according to the type of information to be displayed and/or according to the position of the piece of seating furniture, as will be described later.
According to one embodiment, the trim 16 also has a fixed display device 28 defining a fixed display area 30. The fixed display device 28 extends in a projecting manner relative to the support surface 17, so that the fixed display region 30 is always visible from outside the trim 16. According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the fixed display means 28 extend protrudingly from the front edge of the support surface 17 to cover the opening of the housing 26. In this case, the arm 22 and the movable display 18 slide along the lower surface of the fixed display 28 opposite the fixed display area 30. Thus, at least a portion of the active display area 20 of the active display device 18 is covered by the fixed display device 28 when the active display device 18 is in the stowed position. According to one embodiment, in the stowed position, the movable display area 20 is completely covered by the fixed display 28, so that in the stowed position only the fixed display area 30 is visible from outside the seating furniture 1.
The fixed display area 30 is used, for example, to display information that is always visible in the vehicle cabin, such as time, temperature, and the like. Advantageously, the fixed display 30 is formed by a touch screen, so that the fixed display 30 can be used to control some functions of the vehicle or of the connected device, as described previously with reference to the active display 18. According to a particular embodiment, the fixed display 28 may be used to control the movement of the movable display 18 between the stowed and deployed positions.
According to one embodiment, shown in figures 2 to 4, the seating furniture 1 also has a container 32 defining a storage space extending below the support surface 17. The container 32 is movable relative to the support surface, for example in a longitudinal direction, between a closed position, in which the storage space is closed by the support surface 17, as shown in fig. 2 and 3, and at least one open position, in which at least a part of the container 32 is spaced from the support surface 17, the storage space being accessible, as shown in fig. 4. By usable is meant that the occupant of the seat or another occupant of the vehicle can use the storage space, for example after opening of a closure curtain of the storage space, as shown.
In fig. 4, the container 32 has been moved to an open position in which the container 32 extends forward of the trim 16. In another open position, the container 32 may extend to the rear of the trim 16 so that it can be used by a passenger seated in another seat behind the trim 16.
According to one embodiment, the movement of the movable display 18 can be combined with the movement of the seat 1, so that the position of the movable display 18 is automatically adapted to the position of the seat 1, or so that the movable display 18 is automatically placed in a certain position under certain conditions of use of the vehicle. Thus, the movement of the movable display device 18 may be combined with the movement of the seat 2 and/or the backrest 4 of the piece of seating furniture 1 when the position and/or orientation of the seat 2 and/or the backrest 4 is changed.
By way of example, it can be provided that the movable display device 18 is placed in an extreme unfolded position when the seat 1 is in the unfolded position in which the angle formed between the axis of the backrest 4 and the axis of the seat 2 is large, the unfolded position corresponding to the unfolded position of the occupant of the seat. Thus, in this position, the seat occupant can see the active display area 20 without being in an uncomfortable position.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, the movable display 18 is arranged for automatic switching to the stowed position when the seat 1 is pivoted about the axis a. Thus, when the seat is pivoted, for example, so that passengers face each other, passengers are prevented from hitting the movable display device 18. Likewise, the active display device may also be arranged for automatic switching to the stowed position when a collision is detected, so that the active display device 18 does not form a hard obstacle in the vehicle cabin that could easily injure passengers. It may also be provided that the active display device 18 near the driver's seat is placed in the stowed position during a manual driving phase of the vehicle so that the active display area 20 is not distracted by the driver during driving of the vehicle. The movement control of the seat 1 can be provided, for example, on the fixed display device 28 described above.
According to one embodiment, the trim 16 is movable in the vehicle cabin, for example to bring the trim closer to or away from the front of the vehicle, depending on the passenger desiring to use the display device 18. Thus, the trim 16 is movable, for example, between a front position, in which the trim 16 extends between the front seats of the vehicle, and a rear position, in which the trim 16 extends between the rear seats of the vehicle.
The decoration 16 can be integrated with the display device in a humanized, beautiful and adjustable manner.
