In fact, the number, position and angle of the above-mentioned camera lenses can be adjusted according to actual requirements, and the above is merely an example and is not intended to be limiting. For example, the image capturing unit 10 may have only a single camera lens (e.g., the front camera lens 10F or the rear camera lens 10B).
As shown in fig. 1, the image analysis unit 20 is connected to the image capturing unit 10, and when the image outside the vehicle captured by the image capturing unit 10 has encoded image information C, the image analysis unit 20 analyzes the encoded image information C in the image outside the vehicle to obtain decoded information D.
In some embodiments, the encoded image information C may be a one-dimensional barcode (e.g., EAN-13 barcode, UPC barcode, Code32 barcode, or Code128 barcode, etc.) image, a two-dimensional barcode (e.g., QR Code barcode, DataMatrix barcode, PDF417 barcode) image, or a Character encoding (charcter encoding) image. The image analysis unit 20 may be an image decoding device, such as hardware or firmware with built-in image decoding software, for analyzing the content of the encoded image information C in the vehicle exterior image to obtain the decoded information D. In some embodiments, the coding information D may be a series of words, letters, numbers, symbols, or a combination of at least two thereof. For example, the coding information D may be a URL string (e.g., https:// www.google.com.tw) including at least letters and symbols.
In some embodiments, the image analysis unit 20 may perform the analysis operation in the following manners. As shown in fig. 3, in an embodiment, the playing unit 30 may be a display provided in the vehicle V to directly display the notification information. Alternatively, in other embodiments, the playing unit 30 may also be a voice player, and plays the notification information in a voice manner, so that the driver can directly listen to the notification information without moving his/her eyes to the front, thereby reducing the occurrence of accidents and improving the driving safety.
As shown in fig. 1 and 3, the playing unit 30 can also simultaneously display the vehicle exterior image (the vehicle left image IL, the vehicle right image IR, the vehicle rear image IB, or the vehicle front image IF) captured by the image capturing unit 10 or the three-dimensional ring field projection image S (as shown in fig. 4 and 5) synthesized by the image synthesizing unit 50, so that the driver can see the vehicle exterior view blocked by the vehicle body during driving to improve the driving safety.
In one embodiment, the processing unit 40 can wirelessly obtain the notification information corresponding to the encoded video information C from a remote location according to the decoding information D. For example, as shown in fig. 4, the driving image assisting system 1 includes a wireless communication unit 60 (such as an antenna unit, a WiFi unit, a 3G/4G unit), the wireless communication unit 60 is connected to the processing unit 40 and connected to the internet, so that the wireless communication unit 60 can be wirelessly connected to a remote database R. The processing unit 40 can wirelessly obtain the notification information from the remote database R via the wireless communication unit 60 according to the decoding information D. For example, assuming that the decoding information D is a URL string, the processing unit 40 can obtain the web page information (i.e. notification information) corresponding to the URL string from the remote database R via the wireless communication unit 60, and control the playing unit 30 to display the web page information for the driver to view.
In another embodiment, the decoded information D obtained by the image analysis unit 20 analyzing the content of the encoded image information C in the vehicle exterior image may be the notification information directly. For example, the decoding information D may be a string of plain text information (e.g. plain text advertisement content or product offer content), and the processing unit 40 can directly control the playing unit 30 to play the decoding information D without obtaining the notification information from the remote database R via the wireless communication unit 60.
In some embodiments, the image capturing unit 10, the image parsing unit 20, the playing unit 30 and the processing unit 40 can be connected by a wired connection or a wireless connection to transmit data or signals therebetween.
In summary, according to the driving image assisting system 1 of the embodiment of the present invention, the image capturing unit 10 continuously captures the images outside the vehicle, and when the encoded image information (such as a one-dimensional barcode image, a two-dimensional barcode image, or a character encoded image) appears in the images outside the vehicle, the image analyzing unit 20 can automatically analyze the encoded image information C, so that the processing unit 40 can control the playing unit 30 in the vehicle to play the notification information (such as text information, picture information, image information, web page information, or push information) corresponding to the encoded image information C. Therefore, the driver can acquire any information transmitted by the code in real time without manually scanning through a mobile electronic product (such as a smart phone or a tablet personal computer) in the driving process (no matter the vehicle V is in a traveling state or a static state), so that the convenience, the safety and the information transmission efficiency of driving are improved.
For example, as shown in fig. 6, a schematic view of an embodiment of a driving image assistance system according to the present invention is shown. In the driving process of the driver, the image capturing unit 10 continuously captures the images outside the vehicle around the vehicle V, in this embodiment, the driver drives into a parking lot of a driving shop to find a parking space, and a shop worker can set a code pattern P (here, a QR code bar code, but may also be a code pattern of other forms) in the parking lot to provide the good preference information of the product, for example, set the code pattern P on an entrance, a road surface, a pillar or a parking grid of the parking lot. In the embodiment of fig. 6, the parking lot has a plurality of code patterns P respectively disposed on the road surface and the parking spaces, so that the image capturing unit 10 of the vehicle V captures images of the code patterns P during the traveling of the vehicle V or after the vehicle V is parked in the parking spaces. Referring to fig. 6 and 7, the front image IF captured by the front camera lens 10F of the image capturing unit 10 includes encoded image information C corresponding to the encoded pattern P, the image analyzing unit 20 can analyze the encoded image information C in the front image IF of the vehicle body to obtain decoded information D, and the processing unit 40 can obtain product offer information of the store according to the decoded information D and control the playing unit 30 to play, so that the driver can know the product offer information in advance before entering the store.
As another example, as shown in fig. 8, a schematic view of another embodiment of the driving image assisting system of the invention is shown. In this embodiment, a driver drives a vehicle into the expressway from a ramp entrance, wherein the ramp entrance is provided with a coding pattern P (here, a QR code bar code, but may also be other forms of coding patterns) to provide traffic information of the expressway, for example, a standing plate with the coding pattern P is provided at the ramp entrance. Therefore, when the vehicle V enters the ramp entrance, the image capturing unit 10 captures the image (encoded image information C) of the encoded pattern P, the image analyzing unit 20 analyzes the encoded image information C to obtain the decoding information D, and the processing unit 40 obtains the traffic road condition information according to the decoding information D and controls the playing unit 30 to play, so that the driver can know the road condition of the expressway in advance, and can respond to the road condition in real time.
In an embodiment, as shown in fig. 4, the processing unit 40 may also wirelessly upload the acquired notification information to the remote database R via the wireless communication unit 60 to update the notification information content in the remote database R or share the notification information content with other users, so as to maintain the correctness and real-time performance of the notification information. For example, as shown in fig. 6, generally speaking, the dealer will change different code patterns P over time to change different product offer information, and the processing unit 40 of each vehicle V can wirelessly upload the obtained real-time product offer information to the remote database R for updating or sharing to other drivers through the internet of vehicles.
In one embodiment, the image analysis unit 20 may analyze the encoded image information C to obtain the decoding information D when the vehicle speed value of the vehicle V is less than a threshold (e.g., 10km/h, 15km/h, or 20km/h), so as to avoid the problem that the image analysis unit 20 has an excessive calculation amount or runs out of excessive notification information during driving to interfere with driving of the driver.
In some embodiments, the threshold may vary depending on the environment in which the vehicle V is traveling, for example, the threshold may correspond to a speed limit for the environment in which the vehicle V is traveling. For example, assuming that the speed limit of the parking lot is 10km/h and the speed limit of the ramp entrance of the expressway is 50km/h, when the driver drives into the parking lot, the image analysis unit 20 analyzes the encoded image information C to obtain the decoded information D when the vehicle speed is less than 10km/h, and when the driver drives into the ramp entrance of the expressway, the image analysis unit 20 analyzes the encoded image information C to obtain the decoded information D when the vehicle speed is less than 50km/h, and so on.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiments, it should be understood that various changes and modifications can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
