The invention can realize the electrical insertion positioning of the two wires 3 by only one connector, greatly reduces the production and manufacturing cost of the electric connector 100, can further reduce the space occupied by the electric connector 100 and is beneficial to the further miniaturization trend of equipment. The electrical connector 100 is not limited to the case of being applied to two wires 3, and may be applied to the case of being applied to two or more wires 3. Of course, the electrical connector 100 should not be understood as being extended integrally, and even if the technical solution of the present invention is manufactured in blocks and then spliced for use, it is within the scope of the present invention.
The lower cover part 1 includes an insulator 11 for inserting the wire 3, and the insulator 11 includes an insertion part 112 having an insertion hole 113 for inserting the wire 3 and a base 111 extending from the insertion part 112 for limiting the inserted wire 3. Thus, the lead 3 passes through the insertion hole 113 and is limited on the base 111 to realize preliminary positioning, which is beneficial to the lead 3 not easy to displace when the upper cover part 2 is subsequently fixed on the lower cover part 1, thereby realizing the effectiveness of installation and improving the installation yield. Of course, in other embodiments, the lead wires 3 may be preliminarily limited on the lower cover part 1 in other manners.
The two sides of the base 111 of the insulator 11 are fixedly provided with downwardly extending clasps 12, the clasps 12 are provided with pivot holes 123, the pivot holes 123 include rotation holes 1231 and positioning holes 1232 integrally extending with the rotation holes 1231 and smaller than the rotation holes 1231, the upper cover part 2 is pivoted on the lower cover part 1, the upper cover part 2 is provided with pivot shafts 20 for cooperating with the pivot holes 123 of the lower cover part 1, and the pivot shafts 20 are used for rotating in the rotation holes 1231 to realize the positioning restriction in the positioning holes 1232. With this arrangement, the upper cover part 2 and the lower cover part 1 can be pivoted together by the pivot shaft 20 and the pivot hole 123. Specifically, referring to fig. 6 and 7, the upper lid portion 2 is moved to the rear so as to locate the pivot shaft 20 in the rotation hole 1231, the space of the rotation hole 1231 is large so that the pivot shaft 20 can rotate freely therein, after the wire 3 is inserted into the lower lid portion 1, the upper lid portion 2 is rotated downward and pressed, and after the pressing, the upper lid portion 2 is further pushed forward and horizontally, so that the pivot shaft 20 is held in the positioning hole 1232 with a small space at the front end of the rotation hole 1231, thereby achieving the limiting.
Preferably, the pivot shaft 20 has a rectangular cross-section. With this arrangement, the pivot shaft 20 can rotate freely in the rotation hole 1231, and when entering the positioning hole 1232, the pivot shaft 20 is limited by the positioning hole 1232 in the vertical direction and cannot rotate freely. In other embodiments, the cross section of the pivot shaft 20 may have other shapes, such as a cylindrical shape with a flat upper side.
The latching member 12 further includes a latching hook 124 located at the front end of the pivot hole 123, and the latching hook 124 extends along the vertical direction and further bends and extends towards the inside of the electrical connector 100. With such an arrangement, when the upper cover part 2 is pressed and pushed forward, the upper cover part 2 can be inserted into the hooking range of the buckling hook part 124, so that the most stable hooking and fixing of the upper cover part 2 and the lower cover part 1 can be realized, and the upper cover part 2 is prevented from being separated from the lower cover part 1.

With such an arrangement, the hooking recess 216 facilitates the positioning of the latching hook 124, facilitates the flatness of the exterior of the electrical connector 100, and facilitates the miniaturization trend of the electrical connector 100 to a certain extent.
The clasps 12 are metal sheets fixed to the left and right sides of the insulator 11. With such an arrangement, the buckling member 12 has better strength than a plastic material, so as to prolong the service life of the electrical connector 100. In another embodiment, the retainer 12 may be integrally extended with the insulator 11. In the present embodiment, the metal sheet is embedded and molded in the insulator 11, and in other embodiments, the metal sheet may be held in the insulator 11 by another method. In this embodiment, the latching member 12 includes a holding portion 121 and a latching portion 122 bent and extended downward from the holding portion 121, and the pivot hole 123 is located on the latching portion 122.
The upper cover portion 2 is provided with an insulating body 21, the insulating body 21 is provided with a base portion 211 and side walls 212 located at the left and right sides of the base portion 211, the pivot shaft 20 is located on the side walls 212, the base portion 211 is concavely provided with a left accommodating cavity 214 and a right accommodating cavity 214 which are arranged at intervals, and the conductive terminal 22 comprises a main body portion fixed in the accommodating cavities 214 and a contact arm 222 which protrudes out of the accommodating cavities 214 and is used for electrically contacting with the conductive wire 3. With this arrangement, the conductive terminal 22 can be held on the upper cover portion 2, and the contact arm 222 can be electrically contacted with the conductive wire 3 after the upper cover portion 2 is fastened to the lower cover portion 1. In the present embodiment, the conductive terminal 22 is embedded in the insulating body 21, and in other embodiments, the conductive terminal 22 may be mounted on the insulating body 21 in other manners.
The conductive terminal 22 includes an extending leg 223 extending outward from the main body 221 to the sidewall 212, an extending protrusion 215 protruding from the sidewall 212 is disposed on one side of the extending leg 223, and the pivot shaft 20 includes the extending leg 223 and the extending protrusion 215. Therefore, the pivot shaft 20 has both plastic and metal components, the metal component improves the overall strength, and the plastic component makes the pivot shaft 20 have a certain volume thickness, which is also convenient for molding.
The base portion 211 is protruded with a supporting protrusion 213 for supporting the lead 3. Thus, the supporting protrusion 213 can achieve better stability of the wire 3 inside after the electrical connector 100 is completely engaged, and thus, unnecessary displacement is not likely to occur inside, thereby improving the overall stability of the electrical connector 100.
The above-listed detailed description is only a specific description of a possible embodiment of the present invention, and they are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention, and equivalent embodiments or modifications made without departing from the technical spirit of the present invention should be included in the scope of the present invention.
