Detailed Description
Embodiments of the present invention are described below with reference to the drawings. In the following description, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of, and enabling description for, those skilled in the art. It will be apparent, however, to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without some of these specific details. Furthermore, it should be understood that the invention is not limited to the specific embodiments described. Rather, any combination of the features and elements described below is contemplated as carrying out the invention, whether or not they relate to different embodiments. Thus, the following aspects, features, embodiments and advantages are merely illustrative and are not considered elements or limitations of the claims except where explicitly recited in a claim.
FIG. 1 shows a schematic front view of a concealed vehicle door handle 1 mated with a vehicle door in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 2 and 4 are views of the rear side of the hidden door handle. As can be seen from the figure, the hidden door handle 1 is installed at the handle installation hole 3 of the door body 2, wherein the hidden door handle 1 includes a rotating shaft 11 and a handle main body 12, the rotating shaft 11 is arranged along the length direction of the vehicle, and the handle main body 12 is fixedly installed on the rotating shaft 11. The handle main body 12 is configured to have a front surface side 121 (see fig. 3) that conforms to the configuration of the door outer panel, and a back surface side 122 provided with the handle portion 13. Preferably, the grip portion 13 is configured to have a smooth outer shape.
In the above embodiment, the hidden door handle 1 further has a driving device (not shown), which drives the rotating shaft 11 to rotate, thereby rotating the handle main body 12 between the hidden position (shown in fig. 9 a) and the use position (shown in fig. 9c and 6). In the concealed position, the front side 121 of the handle main body 12 faces the outside of the vehicle and is substantially coplanar with the outer surface of the door outer panel, so that the handle main body 12 is concealed within the door body 2; in the use position, the back surface side 122 of the handle body 12, i.e., the handle portion 13, faces the outside of the vehicle, thereby facilitating the door opening of the vehicle by the occupant. Wherein the rotation angle of the shaft 11 from the concealed position to the use position is substantially 180 degrees. In this embodiment, the shape of the grip portion 13 may be arbitrarily set so as to maintain comfort when the occupant grips the grip.
In one embodiment, the rotating shaft 11 may be provided with a connecting gear 110, the driving device may be a motor, for example, and an output shaft of the motor is connected to the connecting gear 110. The connection gear 110 may be integrally formed with the rotation shaft 11, or the connection gear 110 may be fixedly connected to the rotation shaft.
In order to ensure that the handle body 12 can be rotated 180 degrees, as shown in fig. 5, the handle body 12 and the hinge 11 are arranged such that a cross section of the handle body 12 perpendicular to the hinge is circumscribed by a circle, i.e., the edges A, B, C, D of the handle body 12 are each circumscribed by the circle. The center of the circle is the center O of the rotating shaft, and the radius is the distance between the center O of the rotating shaft and the side wall of the handle mounting hole 3. Instead, in the case where the bezel trim 16 is provided between the handle mounting hole 3 and the handle body 12, the radius is a distance between the center O of the rotation shaft and the bezel trim 16.
It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that the door edge is square due to metal forming process limitations, resulting in a large gap between the door handle and the door. Referring to fig. 8, the present invention can effectively reduce the gap between the door handle and the door by providing the bezel trim 16 between the hand installation hole 3 and the handle body 12.
As shown in fig. 5 and 6, the back surface side 122 of the handle main body 12 is configured to have an arc-shaped groove 120 in which the handle portion 13 is located. The arc-shaped groove is arranged, so that the appearance is attractive, and meanwhile, enough space is guaranteed for a passenger to hold the handle by hands. For example, the bezel decoration strip 16 may be made of a plastic material by injection molding, and the bezel decoration strip 16 is configured such that its edge facing the handle body is inclined or curved.
In one embodiment, the spindle 11 may be configured to be hollow, with the door lock cable 15 disposed within the hollow spindle 11. When the door handle is pulled, the door lock connecting door lock fastener 15 is driven, thereby unlocking the door lock.
Fig. 9a to 9c show the turning process of the door handle from the concealed position to the use position. In fig. 9a, the door handle is in a hidden position. If the door handle needs to be used, the connecting gear 110 can be driven by the motor to drive the rotating shaft 11 and the handle body 12 to rotate, and when the rotating shaft rotates by approximately 180 degrees, the door handle reaches the use position, as shown in fig. 9c, so that a passenger can conveniently hold the handle part 13 to open the door.
Compared with the prior art, the hidden vehicle door handle works in a rotating mode instead of a common flat push mode or a common lever mode. The edge of the built-in handle part is smooth, and the built-in handle part has better holding feeling. Compared with the prior art, the hidden door handle can be set in any shape, so that the comfort of a passenger holding the handle is ensured. In addition, since the handle is hidden in the door in a state where the handle is not used for driving, parking, or the like, dust or dirt (rain, ice, snow, or the like) is not easily accumulated, and it is possible to ensure that the handle is clean and comfortable to hold when the passenger opens the door using the handle. In cold weather, the entire exterior surface of the door is sometimes iced, and the twist grip may also better assist in breaking the iced seal. In addition, since the hidden door handle is rarely subjected to ultraviolet irradiation and rain and snow infiltration, the handle surface may be made of a material that is easily deteriorated by ultraviolet irradiation or rain and snow infiltration but has a better touch feeling, such as but not limited to leather, rubber, and the like.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiments, it is not to be limited thereto. Various changes and modifications within the spirit and scope of the present invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art from this disclosure, and it is intended that the scope of the present invention be defined by the appended claims.
