Disclosure of Invention
The object of the invention is to provide a floor nozzle of the type mentioned at the outset which can be constructed with low mass and has a wide range of operating possibilities.
In the ground nozzle described above, this object is achieved according to the invention in that a retaining body is provided; a holding device arranged on the holding body and configured to hold the cleaning cloth; a tube element is provided which is arranged on the holding body via an articulation means, wherein the articulation means comprise a first articulation via which the holding body can be pivoted about a first pivot axis relative to the tube element, and wherein the articulation means comprise a second articulation via which the holding body can be pivoted about a second pivot axis transverse to the first pivot axis relative to the tube element; and comprises spring means which are assigned to the first articulation and which exert a restoring force tending to bring the holding body into the basic position when the holding body is pivoted relative to the tube element about the first pivot axis relative to the basic position.

It is further provided that the second pivot axis is a roll axis for the laterally movable movement of the holding body relative to the tube element. The second pivot axis is in particular parallel to the width direction of the retaining body with its maximum extent. In particular, the second pivot axis is parallel to the spacing direction between the lateral outer ends of the retaining body. Via the second pivot axis, the distance of the outer end of the pipe element or of a lever placed on the pipe element relative to the surface to be cleaned can be set.
Advantageously, the spring device associated with the first articulation comprises at least one torsion spring (and in particular exactly one torsion spring), which is in particular of an open-close configuration. In an alternative embodiment, the first articulation is associated with a link track having a link element and a counter element, wherein the spring device (for the first pivot axis) is supported on the link element. By means of a relative rotation about the first pivot axis, a relative movement between the gate element and the counter element takes place, and in particular the movement has a linear component. In particular, the swivel angle range in which the holding body swivels about the first swivel axis (for luffable kinematics) with reference to the basic position is at least ± 60 °, and in particular at least ± 70 °, and in particular at least ± 90 °, and in particular at least approximately ± 90 °. Thus a high operational flexibility is obtained.
The spring device associated with the first articulation is advantageously designed in such a way that, with the same deflection in the first pivoting direction and the second pivoting direction, at least approximately the same restoring force acts. This achieves easy operability. The basic position can be reached in a simple manner.
In one embodiment, the first joint comprises a first tube section and a second tube section, wherein the second tube section is rotatably mounted in the first tube section about a first pivot axis, and one of the first tube section and the second tube section is connected to the tube element in a rotationally fixed manner about the first pivot axis, while the other tube section is connected to the retaining body in a rotationally fixed manner about the first pivot axis. A simple construction provides that the spring device associated with the first joint is supported on the first pipe section and the second pipe section. In this way, a restoring moment can be provided in a simple manner when a deflection out of the basic position about the first pivot axis takes place.
A constructively simple construction is obtained when the second hinge comprises a fluid distributor through which fluid can be supplied to the lower side of the holding body. This enables the fluid (steam) to be conveyed through or via the second hinge to the lower side of the holding body, in particular to the distribution space.
Advantageously, the fluid dispenser is or includes a tee. The second hinge can thus be realized in a simple manner. The second hinge part can be coupled to the first hinge part in a simple manner. Furthermore, an optimized loading of the cleaning cloth with fluid (steam) is achieved in a simple manner.
Advantageously, the second articulated joint comprises a dispensing tube which is mounted on the retaining body so as to be pivotable about a second pivot axis. In one aspect, the distribution pipe serves for distributing the fluid (steam) and is coupled into a distribution space of the holding body. On the other hand, the dispensing tube can form the axis of the second hinge and can be pivoted about the second pivot axis for the tiltable mobility in a simple manner.

This makes it possible, for example, to connect the floor nozzle to the carpet slide in a simple manner, or to fasten or release the cleaning cloth in a simple manner.
Advantageously, the return device is a spring device and in particular comprises at least one torsion spring, and in particular exactly one torsion spring. A compact, structurally simple construction is thus obtained.
It is advantageous here if the pipe element, starting from the basic position, can be pivoted about the second pivot axis at least in the first pivot direction by a pivot angle range of at least 60 °, and in particular at least 65 °, and in particular at least 70 °, and in particular at least 75 °. Thus obtaining a high operational flexibility. The given angle value is the upper limit of the possible swing angle (from 0 ° to the upper limit).
In one embodiment, it is provided that the basic position is set in such a way that, starting from the basic position, the pipe element can only be pivoted in a first pivoting direction and that the pivotability in a second pivoting direction opposite to the first pivoting direction is blocked. It is advantageous if the retaining body has a free area, in particular in the form of a recess, wherein the tube element is connected to the retaining body in the area of the free area via a hinge means. In an embodiment, the holding body has a first region, a second region connected to the first region, and a third region connected to the second region, wherein the hinge means is arranged on the second region. In this way, the first region and the third region having relatively low heights can be formed. This enables a good down-going capacity under furniture or the like.
In particular, the first region and the third region are at least approximately of identical design and are in particular arranged and designed symmetrically with respect to the second region. A structurally simple construction is thus obtained.
For the reasons mentioned above, it is advantageous if the first and third regions have a lower maximum height than the second region with reference to the envelope surface of the lower side of the retaining body. The second zone has a higher height due to the positioning of the hinge means. The first and third zones are designed in such a way that they have a lower height in order to improve the downstream capacity.

It is advantageous if a distribution space is formed on the underside of the holder, into which distribution space fluid can be coupled, wherein the distribution space is covered by the cleaning wipes when the cleaning wipes are held on the holder. It is particularly advantageous if the retaining body has a first transverse end and an opposite second transverse end, and the retaining device has one or more retaining points for cleaning cloths, which are located on the retaining body between the first and second transverse ends and in particular have an extent in the width direction between the first and second transverse ends. The cleaning cloth can thus be fixed to the holder in a simple manner. For this purpose, for example, no rag clamps or the like are required. This enables the floor nozzle to be constructed with a low weight. In addition, the cleaning cloth can be fixed to the retaining body over a relatively large area. Thereby avoiding or at least reducing the drape of the cleaning wipe.
Advantageously, the total width of the holding portion, which is the sum of all the widths in the width direction, is at least 30%, in particular at least 40%, of the total width of the holding body in the width direction. It is advantageous to provide a plurality of spaced-apart holding locations, and in particular to provide evenly spaced-apart holding locations. An effective fixing of the cleaning wipe while avoiding overhang can thereby be obtained.
In particular, it is provided that the at least one holding point is designed in such a way that, when the holding body is placed on the cleaning cloth, the fixing of the cleaning cloth to the holding device can be established and/or the fixing of the cleaning cloth to the holding body can be released by pulling the cleaning cloth apart in one direction. Hereby is obtained the possibility of facilitating the fixing or loosening by the operator.
It is particularly advantageous if at least one of the holding locations is a hook-and-loop holding location having a hook-and-loop fastener for a mating holding location on the cleaning wipe. In this way, the cleaning cloth can be fixed to the holding body via the holding device over a relatively large area, wherein the fixing can be established in a simple manner and the fixing can be released in a simple manner.

The cleaning cloth is advantageously designed in such a way that it projects beyond the retaining body at least on one side and in particular on all sides when it is fastened to the retaining body. On a corresponding projecting-beyond region of the cleaning cloth relative to the holder, a "bumper" can be realized, which prevents or at least attenuates impacts of the holder, for example against walls, doors or furniture.
Advantageously, the cleaning cloth has at least one tongue which projects beyond the retaining body when the cleaning cloth is fastened to the retaining body and which serves to release the cleaning cloth from the retaining device. For example, when the floor nozzle with the cleaning wipe secured thereto is placed on the floor, the operator may step his foot on the tongue and pull the nozzle upwardly away from the floor. The cleaning cloth can thus be released from the holding device without the operator having to bend over or hold the floor nozzle with his or her hands.
Advantageously, when the cleaning cloth is (correctly) secured to the holding device, the cleaning cloth is held in a non-hanging manner on the holding body. Good operability can thus be achieved while optimizing the cleaning effect.
In one embodiment, the floor nozzle comprises a (releasable) carpet slide into which the holding body can be arranged, in particular together with the cleaning wipe fastened thereto. Carpet carriages are used for renovating woven floor coverings. An extension of the range of application of the floor nozzle is thus obtained. By automatically reaching the basic position with reference to the first pivot axis (and preferably also with reference to the second pivot axis), the floor nozzle can be connected to the carpet slide in a simple manner.

Detailed Description
An embodiment of the steam cleaner 8 comprises a steam generating device 10. In an embodiment, the steam generating device 10 is a transportable device on which a releasable water tank 12 is arranged. The steam generating device 10 comprises a steam generator 14 arranged within a housing. The steam generator 14 generates steam consisting of liquid water supplied from the water tank 12.
The steam generator 14 is, for example, a once-through heater or is configured as a kettle steam generator.
The hoses 18 are coupled with the steam generating device 10 via the respective plugs 16. Hose 18 leads to a steering gun 20 having a handle 22. The steam cleaner 8 includes a mop 24. Gun 20 is operated as part of the mop 24. The mop 24 can be held and guided via manipulation of the handle 22 of the gun 20.
Mop 24 includes a handle 26. The stick 26 is formed from one or more tubes 28a, 28b. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the stick 26 includes a first tube 28a and a second tube 28b releasably connected to each other. The tube 28b is connected to the operating gun 20. The operating gun 20 has an operating element 30, via which the fluid can be released or blocked from passing through the operating gun 20 and the fluid can be coupled into the tube 28b.
The wand 26 is releasably connected to the floor nozzle 32. The floor nozzle 32 is provided with a textile cleaning cloth 34, which is designed in particular as a microfiber cloth.
The cleaning wipe 34 has an underside 36 which can be placed onto the surface to be cleaned and via which this surface to be cleaned can be wiped. A rear side 38 opposite the lower side 36 can be acted upon with a fluid, in particular steam, via the floor nozzle 32. Steam is provided by a steam generator 14 of the steam generating device 10 and via a hose 18 which operates a gun 20. By actuating the actuating element 30, the fluid can flow through the bar 26 and be applied to the cleaning cloth 34 on its rear side 38 at the floor nozzle 32.
It is also possible, for example, for the floor nozzle 32 to be connected directly to the operating gun 20 or, for example, to the pipe 28b, and thus the pipe 28a can be dispensed with.
In order to wipe the surface to be cleaned, in particular a hard floor surface, via the mop 34, a standing operator can hold the mop 34 at the handle 22 and in this case manipulate the actuating element 30.
An embodiment of the floor nozzle 32 according to the invention (fig. 7 to 16) comprises a holding body 40. The holding body 40 is in particular designed as a holding plate.
The retention body 40 has an upper side 42 and a lower side 44. On the underside 44, a distribution space 46 for the fluid is formed, which is closed off towards the upper side 42 by a plate element 48.
The holding body 40 comprises a rim 50 (fig. 8) which surrounds and encloses the dispensing space 46. The edge strip 50 is provided with a holding device 52 for the cleaning cloths 34. This will be described in more detail below.
The retention body 40 has a first lateral end 54. It also has an opposite second transverse end 56. The retention body 40 extends in a width direction 58 (fig. 7) between the first and second lateral ends 54, 56 and has a width B in the width direction 58 (fig. 8).
The retention body 40 also has a front end side 60 and an opposing rear end side 62. A lateral width direction 64 between the front end side 60 and the rear end side 62 is perpendicular to the width direction 48.
The width of the holding body 40 in the width direction 58 is larger than the width in the lateral width direction 64. The holding body 40 has an at least approximately rectangular outer contour, the longer side of which is in the width direction 58.
The retention body has a first region 66 (fig. 12) that includes the first lateral end 54 and extends away from the first lateral end in the width direction 58. In the width direction 58, the first region 66 is followed by a second region 68 which is coupled to the first region 66 and is in particular integrally connected thereto. In the width direction 58, the second region 68 is followed by a third region 70 which contains the second transverse end 56 and is in particular integrally connected to the second region 68. The first, second and third regions 66, 68, 70 collectively comprise the front end side 60 and the rear end side 62.

The first region 82 is in particular designed as a socket, in which the coupling 80 is arranged.
On the pipe element 78 and in particular on the first region 82, a retaining element 92 is arranged, for example in the shape of a hook, by means of which the floor nozzle 32 and in particular the mop 24 can be fixed on the steam generating device 10 in its parking position.

Due to the luffable movement about the first pivot axis 96, it is possible to pivot starting from a basic position (which can be regarded as a zero-angle position) in a first pivot direction 110 (fig. 10) and a second pivot direction 112 opposite the first pivot direction 110.
The first spring arrangement 108 is arranged and configured in such a way that, when the holding body 40 is deflected out of the basic position, it tends to bring the holding body back into the basic position again; the first spring device 108 has a restoring force for restoring the positioning of the holding body 40 relative to the tube element 78 into the basic position.
The first spring arrangement 108 is designed in such a way that a restoring force is present during pivoting in both the first pivoting direction 110 and the second pivoting direction 112.

The second articulation 118 comprises a fluid distributor 120 via which fluid can be supplied to the distribution space 46 (in each oscillation position of the holding body 40 relative to the tube element 78 with reference to the first oscillation axis 96 and the second oscillation axis 98).
The fluid distributor 120 is configured in particular as a T-piece 122.
The fluid dispenser 120, and in turn the second hinge portion 118, has a dispensing tube 124. The dispensing tube 124 has a longitudinal extension parallel to the width direction 58 and forms the axis of the second hinge 118.
The distribution pipe 124 is mounted rotatably about the second pivot axis 98 on one or more bushings 126. One or more bushings 126 are arranged on the retaining body 40 in the second region 68.
With reference to the mirrored surface 96, the distribution conduits 124 extend to both sides of the mirrored surface 96.
For example, spaced-apart bushings 126 are disposed on either side of the mirrored surface 76.
The fluid distributor 120, which is embodied as a T-piece 122, also comprises a first pipe section 104, which first pipe section 104 is arranged transversely and in particular perpendicularly to the distributor pipe 124 and is oriented parallel to the transverse width direction 64.
The dispensing tube 124 has an opening 128 in the dispensing space 46. In particular, the reference mirror surface 76 is arranged on both sides with at least one opening 128.
The fluid flowing through the pipe element 78 and in this case flowing into the second pipe section 102 then flows into the distributor pipe 124 and is guided from there into the distributor space 46. This occurs in any pivoting position of the retaining body 40 relative to the tube element 78 (about the first pivot axis 96 and about the second pivot axis 98).
The relationship of the T-piece 122 to the second pipe section 102 is arranged in such a way that a fluid communication from the second pipe section 102 into the distribution pipe 124 is just possible, wherein a corresponding flow deflection takes place in the subsequent main flow direction parallel to the width direction 58 and flows out via one or more openings 128 into the distribution space 46.
A second spring device 130 is associated with the second hinge part 118. The second spring device 130 exerts a restoring force on the retaining body 40 in a pivotable manner about the second pivot axis 98, and this restoring force tends to bring the second retaining body 40 in its tiltable manner of mobility into the basic position relative to the tube element 78.
This basic position is shown, for example, in fig. 7 and 3.
In the basic position, the tube element 78 rests, for example, with a partial region 172 (fig. 14) against a counter region 134 on the retaining body 40. From this basic position, a pivotable mobility can thus be achieved exclusively in the pivot direction 136 (fig. 14).
In an embodiment, the basic position refers to the second oscillation axis 98 such that the second oscillation axis 98 is at least approximately parallel to the envelope surface 74.
Starting from this basic position, the tube element 78 can be pivoted about the second pivot axis 98 relative to the retaining body 40 only in this pivot direction 136.
When the pivot angle range in this basic position is associated with the first longitudinal axis 84, the pivot angle range is in particular at least 60 ° (that is to say from 0 ° to at least 60 °), preferably at least 65 °, and preferably at least 70 °, and in particular at least 75 °. This will be described in more detail below.
The second spring means 130 is supported both (directly or indirectly) on the dispensing tube 124 and on the retaining body 40.
In an embodiment, the second spring arrangement 130 comprises one or more torsion springs 138, and in particular comprises exactly one torsion spring 138. The torsion spring 138 is arranged on the arm of the dispensing tube 124 and generates a corresponding torque when the holding body 40 is deflected out of the basic position relative to the tube element 78, and this torque tends to re-establish the basic position by applying a corresponding restoring force as described above.
The holding body 40 has a free space 140, which is in particular designed as a recess. This free space 140 serves for the arrangement and positioning of the joint 94 and is designed in such a way that a corresponding pivotable mobility about the first pivot axis 96 and the second pivot axis 98 can be achieved between the tube element 78 and the holding body 40.
The free space 140 is covered via a cover 142.
The second spring means 130 is supported on the inner side of the cover 142; this support is a support on the retaining body 40.
Fig. 11 shows a view of the floor nozzle 32 from above, wherein the respective basic position is set with respect to the first pivot axis 96 and the corresponding basic position is set with respect to the second pivot axis 98. Fig. 12 is the same view as fig. 11, but with the cover 142 removed.
In another embodiment (fig. 17-19), a tube element 78' is provided. The tube member 78' is of substantially the same construction as the tube member 78 described above.
The tube element 78' has a second tube section 202 attached thereto in a rotationally fixed manner. As described above in connection with the pipe element 78, the second pipe segment 202 is arranged at an angle to the coupling region of the pipe element 78'.
To form the first hinge 200, the second tube section 202 is arranged in the first tube section 204 so as to be rotatable about the first pivot axis 196.
As described above in connection with the fluid distributor 120, the second pipe segment 204 is part of the fluid distributor 220. The fluid distributor 220 is basically of the same design as the fluid distributor 120 and is connected to the holding body 40 so as to be rotatable about the second pivot axis 198. The holding body 40 is thus configured as described above.
A chute element 206 is positioned in the first tube section 204. The link element 206 is connected to the first pipe section 204 in a rotationally fixed manner about the first pivot axis 196. Relative rotation of first pipe section 204 about first pivot axis 196 with respect to second pipe section 202 causes a corresponding identical relative rotation of chute element 206 with respect to first pipe section 202 about first pivot axis 196.
A first spring device 208 is provided, which first spring device 208, after deflection out of the basic position, ensures that the second pipe section 202 is reset relative to the first pipe section 204 when the force responsible for the deflection is removed.
In an embodiment, the first spring arrangement 208 comprises a helical spring 210 supported on a corresponding tongue 212 of the second pipe section 202 and on the chute element 206.
The link element 206 is configured in relation to the first spring device 208 in such a way that, when the second pipe section 202 is rotated relative to the first pipe section 204 out of the basic position about the first pivot axis 196, the helical spring 210 is compressed both in the first pivot direction and in the opposite second pivot direction. This compression exerts a corresponding force that tends to bring the second tube section 202 back into its basic position.
In an embodiment, a counter element 214 for the gate element 206 is formed on the second tube section 202, on which counter element the gate element 206 is supported. The guide element 206 thereby forcibly guides the formation of the gate track on the counter element 214.
The counter element 214 has a counter track 216 for the runner element 206.
The mating rail 216 is here constructed symmetrically with respect to the first pivot axis 296 with respect to the basic position of the second pipe section 202 relative to the first pipe section 204.
The mating track 216 includes, inter alia, a first angled "flat" 218a and a second angled "flat" 218b (fig. 19). These inclined planes have opposite orientations and are symmetrical to each other. The inclined planes 218a and 218b have in particular a curvature adapted to rotate about the first oscillation axis 196.
The slide element 206 is adapted in its outer form to a first inclined plane 218a and a second inclined plane 218b.
The basic position of the second pipe section 202 relative to the first pipe section 204 is shown in fig. 17 and 19. There, the slide element 206 is symmetrical with respect to the mating track 216. The first spring device 208 with the helical spring 210 is designed in such a way that in the basic position no relative torque acts between the second pipe section 202 and the first pipe section 204, or that the torque is so small that it cannot leave the basic position solely due to the force of the first spring device 208.
When a sufficiently large force is applied, which, for example (fig. 19, 20), causes a rotation of the first pipe section 204 relative to the second pipe section 202 (in the illustration according to fig. 19, starting from the basic position, a rotation to the left), the gate element 206 slides with its respective counter track 216 on the first inclined plane 218a or the second inclined plane 218b depending on the direction of oscillation. The spacing of the support region of the link element 206 for the helical spring 210 with respect to the counter element 214 is thereby increased.
This in turn causes the helical spring 210 to contract.
To achieve this state, an external force is required to overcome the force of the first spring means 208.
When the external force that just caused the rotation out of the basic position about the first pivot axis 196 is removed, the force of the helical spring 210 presses the slide element 206 against the counter track 216 and causes the slide element 206 to rotate about the first pivot axis 196 until the basic position is reached. This causes the first pipe section 204 to rotate relative to the second pipe section 202 until the base position is reached.
And then again to the position shown in figures 17 and 18.
The coupling of the fluid dispenser 220 to the retention body 40 is as described above.
The floor nozzle 32 may be constructed to be light. It has in particular a mass of at most 240g, in particular at most 230g, in particular at most 210g, wherein the mass consists of the holding body 40, the tube element 78 (or 78') and the hinge device 94 (without the cleaning cloth 34).
The self-weight of the holding body 40 is irrelevant for establishing the respective basic position of the holding body 40 relative to the pipe element 78 or 78'; the restoring force caused by the first spring arrangement 108 or 208 causes an automatic restoring with reference to the first pivot axis 96 or 196 in the force-free state. The second spring arrangement 130 causes an automatic return with reference to the second pivot axis 98 or 198 in the absence of further forces. The return is independent of the weight of the holding body 40.
When no external forces act, the holding body 40 is then in its basic position relative to the tube element 78 or 78' about the first pivot axis 96 or 196 and about the second pivot axis 98 or 198. Whereby it has a defined fixed positioning relative to the mirrored surface 76.
As will be described in greater detail below, the cleaning cloth 34 can thus be fastened to the holding body 40 or released in a simple manner, or a simple connection to the carpet carrier can be released or established.
The retaining device 52 for releasably retaining the cleaning cloths 34 is arranged on the retaining body 40 and in this case in particular on the edge strip 50. The retaining device 52 is configured in such a way that the cleaning cloth 34 can be releasably secured to the retaining body 40 without significant hanging.
The holding device 52 comprises, in particular, a plurality of holding points 144 (fig. 8). Corresponding holding points 144 on the holding body 40 are assigned corresponding holding points 146 on the cleaning cloths 34 (see, for example, fig. 16). A fixed connection between the mating holding point 146 and the associated holding point 144 can be established. Via these connections, the cleaning wipes 34 are then held (in a releasable manner) on the retaining body 40 via the retaining device 52 in order to carry out the cleaning process.
For example, spaced-apart holding points 144 are arranged on a first partial region 148 of the edge strip 50 on which the front end side 60 is located, and likewise a plurality of spaced-apart holding points 144 are arranged on an opposite second partial region 150 of the edge strip 50 on which the rear end side 62 is located.

In particular, the hook-and-loop fastener of the retaining region 144 is integrated in the edge strip 50 and thus in the retaining body 40 and is connected integrally therewith, for example.
When the cleaning cloth 40 is fastened to the holding device 52, the back side 152 of the cleaning cloth 34 is then loaded with a fluid, in particular steam, via the distribution space 46 during operation of the steam cleaning machine 8. The cover of the dispensing space 46 is formed somewhat downwards towards the surface to be cleaned when the cleaning cloth 34 is fastened to the holding device 52. The front side 154 of the cleaning wipe 34 opposite the back side 152 is used to act upon the surface to be cleaned.
On the retaining body 40, a web element 156 is arranged in the distribution space 46, wherein, in particular, a plurality of spaced-apart web elements 156 are provided (see, for example, fig. 8). The web element 156 is in particular of corrugated design.
The web element serves to distribute the fluid in the distribution space 46 and to uniformly load the cleaning cloth 34 with fluid, in particular steam, on its rear side 152. It is also possible to apply a certain mechanical force to the surface to be cleaned via these web elements, wherein they are covered via the cleaning wipes 34.
The cleaning wipe 34 is provided with tabs 158 (see, e.g., FIG. 16). The tabs 158 extend beyond the retention body 40 when the cleaning wipe 34 is secured to the retention body 40.
In the exemplary embodiment, the tongues project rearward beyond rear end face 62.
For example, the tab 150 may be printed to indicate to the operator the back side 152 as the side having the mating retention location 146 for the retention device 52.
The tabs 158 are used to easily release the cleaning wipes 34 from the retention body 40.
For example, when the cleaning wipe 34 is placed on a surface, the operator may step on the pull tab 158 and remove the mop 24 and the retention body 40 upwardly (indicated by the arrow labeled 60 in FIG. 16). Thereby releasing the connection between the retention location 144 and the mating retention location 146 and thereby peeling the cleaning wipe 34 from the mop 24.
The cleaning cloth 34 is preferably designed in such a way that it projects beyond the ends of the retaining body 40 (transverse ends 54, 56, front ends 60, 62) when it is fastened to the retaining body 40. The corresponding protruding region 162 (see fig. 1) serves as a "crash damper", that is to say as a bumper during cleaning. Hard impacts of the holding body 40 against furniture, walls, doors, etc. can thereby be prevented or at least mitigated.
In an embodiment, the floor nozzle 32 comprises a carpet carriage 164 or such a carpet carriage 164 is assigned to the floor nozzle.
The carpet slide 164 is used to refresh the woven floor via steam.
Carpet carriage 164 includes a basin-like member 166 having one or more openings 168 in its underside. Via the opening or openings 168, the respective fabric side is subjected to steam during the refreshing operation.
The basin-shaped element 166 is designed in such a way that the floor nozzle 32, in particular together with the cleaning cloth 34 arranged thereon, can be inserted.
An insertability from above (indicated in fig. 16 by an arrow labeled with reference numeral 170) is provided here.
The floor nozzle 32 is brought together with the cleaning cloth 34 possibly arranged thereon into the interior 172 of the basin-shaped element 166.
The basin-shaped element 166 has flaps 174, which are arranged in such a way that, when the floor nozzle 32 is inserted, it is blocked from being removed in the direction 160 (upward).
One or more locking elements 176 are also provided, which can be arranged in particular opposite the one or more flaps 174 and which can in particular lock with the retaining body 40. These locking elements also block the upward accessibility in direction 160. A form-fitting fixed arrangement of the holding body 40 in the interior 172 of the pot-shaped element 166 can thus be achieved.
In the exemplary embodiment, a laterally protruding tongue 178 is arranged on the pot-shaped element 166.
The operator can step on the tongue 178 and, with a corresponding expenditure of force on the mop 24, release the locking with the one or more locking elements 176 by pulling upward in the direction 160 and then pull the floor nozzle 32 obliquely out of the basin-shaped element 166.
The mop 24 or floor nozzle 32 operates as follows:
the floor nozzle 32 can be constructed in a lightweight manner and with a small height dimension at least in the first region 66 and the third region 70. Whereby it has a high operational flexibility.
The holder 52 can be constructed with a low weight. The holding portion or portions 144 have a lower mass.
In particular, the cleaning cloth 34 can be fixed to the holding body 40 in the direction 170 by placing the holding body 40 with the holding device 52 on the cleaning cloth 34 which is correspondingly spread apart.
The cleaning cloth 34 can be released in a simple manner by the operator stepping on the tongue 158 and pulling it upward away from the retaining body 40.
The cleaning wipes 34 can be held on the holder 52 without or with only slight overhang, since the fastening is effected over a large length in the width direction 58. The holding portion or holding portions 144 have a large fixed length with respect to their total width as a sum of the individual widths.
Due to the lightweight construction and due to the articulation 94 having the pivot axes 96 and 98 (or 196 and 198), a movable floor nozzle 32 is obtained. The floor nozzle has high operational flexibility. It has a downward height with respect to the furniture body.
The first spring device 108 or 208 and the second spring device 130 are responsible for bringing the holding body 40 into its respective basic position relative to the tube element 78 or 78' in the absence of external force loading. The retaining body 40 does not then have to be under its own weight in order to reach this basic position.
Due to the basic position defined with respect to the first pivot axis 96 or 196 and the second pivot axis 98 or 198, the retaining body 40 can be connected to or released from the cleaning cloth 34 in a simple manner.
The connection of the floor nozzle 32 to the carpet slide 164 can also be established or released in a simple manner.
Mop 24 may be optimally positioned with respect to a surface 180 to be cleaned (see fig. 2) for an operator.
An example of an angled 162 arrangement of the stick 26 relative to its basic position is shown in fig. 2. This angle 182 corresponds to the angle of the first longitudinal axis 84 of the pipe element 78 between the position shown in fig. 2 and the basic position with reference to the second pivot axis 98. The positioning of the first longitudinal axis 84 in this basic position is indicated in fig. 2 by reference numeral 184 (in the basic position 184, an acute angle 90 exists between the first longitudinal axis 84 and the second longitudinal axis 88).
The corresponding basic position with reference to the second pivot axis 98 is shown in fig. 3.

In the position shown in fig. 2, the retaining body 40 with the cleaning cloth 34 arranged thereon remains on the surface 180 to be cleaned when the transition from the basic position according to fig. 3 to the position shown in fig. 2 takes place.
Fig. 4 shows a further pivoted position of the tube element 78 relative to the retaining body 40. The lever 26 is angled 186 with reference to the base position (designated by reference numeral 184). In the exemplary embodiment of the first spring arrangement 208, the helical spring 210 is provided with a gate guide via the gate element 206 and the counter element 214, so that a restoring force is exerted between the second pipe section 202 and the first pipe section 204 with reference to the first pivot axis 196 and tends to guide these pipe sections into their relative basic position with respect to one another.
According to the invention, a floor nozzle 32 is provided, via which the cleaning cloth 34 held can be subjected to a fluid, in particular steam. The floor nozzle 32 has a wide range of mobility via the hinge 94; the tube element 78 or 78' can be flexibly positioned with respect to the holding body 40; thus, the retaining body 40 and the cleaning wipes 34 retained thereon are flexibly positionable with respect to the tube elements 78 or 78'. High operational flexibility is obtained while at the same time obtaining advantageous downstream capabilities etc.
By resetting via the first spring means 108 or 208 and the second spring means 130, the basic position of the holding body 40 relative to the pipe elements 78 and 78' (and thus relative to the bar 26) is achieved in an automatic manner when the respective external force influence is removed.
The floor nozzle 32 can be constructed in a lightweight manner and can be produced with low material expenditure.
A structurally simple construction is obtained. In particular, the tee 122 of the fluid dispenser 120 or 220 forms a hinged portion of the second hinge 118, and in particular, an axis of the second hinge 118.

Claims (67)

1. A floor nozzle for a steam cleaner, the floor nozzle comprising: a holding body (40); a holding device (52) arranged on the holding body (40) and configured for holding a cleaning cloth (34); a tube element (78 '), which is arranged on the holding body (40) via a hinge arrangement (94), wherein the hinge arrangement (94) comprises a first hinge (100) via which the holding body (40) is swingable relative to the tube element (78') about a first swing axis (96, 196), and wherein the hinge arrangement (94) comprises a second hinge (118) via which the holding body (40) is swingable relative to the tube element (78) about a second swing axis (98, 198) transverse to the first swing axis (96); and comprising spring means (108,
