Abstract
The invention discloses a method and a device for acquiring a license key, which record the license key with corresponding characteristics in the middle plate information of a storage system cabinet, the state information of a storage system and the backup file of the storage system, wherein the method comprises the following steps: when the storage system is recovered, inquiring a license key with corresponding characteristics from the middle plate information of the storage system cabinet; if the license key with the corresponding characteristic is not inquired from the middle plate information of the storage system cabinet, acquiring the license key with the corresponding characteristic from the state information of the storage system; and if the license key corresponding to the characteristic is not acquired from the state information of the storage system, acquiring the license key corresponding to the characteristic from the backup file of the storage system. When the storage system has software failure or hardware failure, even if the key file is damaged, the license key can be recovered from the board information, the state information or the backup file in the cabinet of the storage system. Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of storage system technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for acquiring a license key. The invention also relates to a storage system.
Background
In the storage system, a license is adopted to manage and use the characteristics of the storage system, the characteristics of the storage system refer to a preset function independent of the basic storage function of the storage system, and a user activates corresponding characteristics by purchasing a license key corresponding to the characteristics; and the storage system decrypts the license of the corresponding characteristic according to the license key input by the user, and removes the use restriction of the corresponding characteristic when the decryption is successful, so that the user can use the characteristic. In the prior art, a license key is recorded in a key file, and corresponding characteristics are activated by reading key data from the key file, but when a storage system fails and the key file is damaged, the characteristics cannot be used, and working data finished by using the characteristics by a user is lost.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above, the present invention provides a license key acquisition method and apparatus, which can recover the license key when a software failure or a hardware failure occurs in a storage system, and can continue to use the features. The invention also provides a storage system.

The state information of the storage system refers to state data recorded by monitoring the operation condition of the storage system by software operated by the storage system, and the state information records various state data of the storage system in the operation process. A license key storing the system characteristics is recorded in the state information, and the license key of the characteristics is saved from the software level.
The backup file of the storage system refers to a backup file of the operating software of the storage system, and the storage system can be restored by using the backup file after the operating software of the storage system is damaged. Therefore, the license key obtaining apparatus of this embodiment records the license key corresponding to the characteristic in the midplane information of the storage system cabinet, the state information of the storage system, and the backup file of the storage system, and when the storage system has a software failure or a hardware failure, even if the key file is damaged, the license key can be recovered from the midplane information, the state information, or the backup file of the storage system cabinet, thereby solving the problems in the prior art.
