背景技术
本发明涉及润滑组合物,其包含基础油和挥发性降低添加剂,特别用于内燃机的曲轴箱,特别是用于客车或轻型货车的内燃机。
实际上,已知各种用于曲轴箱发动机的润滑组合物。低粘度曲轴箱发动机油的缺点在于它们可能具有不期望的高挥发性,特别是通过ASTM D5800B NOACK挥发性测试测量。

令人惊讶地发现,通过在润滑配制物中包括某些润滑剂添加剂,可以降低NOACK挥发性。
发明内容
根据本发明,提供一种润滑组合物,其包含:

具体实施方式
用于本发明的基础油可以方便地包含一种或多种矿物油和/或一种或多种合成油的混合物;因此,根据本发明,术语“基础油”可以指含有超过一种基础油的混合物。矿物油包括液体石油和溶剂处理或酸处理的链烷烃、环烷烃或混合链烷烃/环烷烃类的矿物润滑油,其可以通过加氢精制方法和/或脱蜡进一步精制。
适用于本发明的润滑油组合物的基础油包括第III组矿物基础油、第IV组聚α-烯烃(PAO)、第III组费-托衍生基础油和其混合物。
本发明中的“第III组”和“第IV组”基础油意指根据美国石油协会(AmericanPetroleum Institute,API)的类别III和IV定义的润滑油基础油。这些API类别定义于2002年4月的API出版物1509第15版附录E中。
费-托衍生的基础油在本领域中是已知的。术语“费-托衍生”是指基础油是或者衍生自费-托法的合成产物。费-托衍生的基础油也可称为气-液(Gas-To-Liquids,GTL)基础油。可以方便地用作本发明润滑组合物中的基础油的合适的费-托衍生的基础油是例如EP0 776 959、EP 0 668 342、WO 97/21788、WO 00/15736、WO 00/14188、WO 00/14187、WO 00/14183、WO 00/14179、WO 00/08115、WO 99/41332、EP 1 029 029、WO 01/18156和WO 01/57166中公开的那些。

根据本发明,基础油(或基础油掺合物)优选在100℃下的运动粘度为至少3.0cSt(根据ASTM D445),优选在3.0与4.0cSt之间。
本发明的润滑组合物进一步包含挥发性降低添加剂。如本文所用,术语“挥发性降低添加剂”涉及以低含量(通常1%或更低)加入润滑组合物中的任何化合物,其赋予NOACK挥发性降低。合适的挥发性降低添加剂的一些实例包括但不必限于胺类抗氧化剂、钼类摩擦改进剂以及其组合。
挥发性降低添加剂可以单独存在于润滑组合物中或作为添加剂包的一部分存在。相对于润滑组合物的总重量,挥发性降低添加剂优选以在0.5重量%至5重量%范围内、优选在0.5重量%至2重量%范围内的量存在于润滑组合物中。
如上所述,根据本发明的润滑组合物满足-35℃下的低温曲柄粘度、100℃下的运动粘度和NOACK挥发性的某些特定要求。通常,润滑组合物在-35℃下的低温曲柄粘度(根据ASTM D5293)为至多6200cP。
通常,润滑组合物在100℃下的运动粘度(根据ASTM D445)为至多16.3cSt,优选3.8至16.3cSt,且更优选3.8至9.3cSt。
通常,润滑组合物的高温、高剪切粘度(“HTHS”)(根据ASTM D4683)在1.7至3.7mPa.s的范围内,优选在1.7至2.6mPa.s的范围内。
通常,润滑组合物的NOACK挥发性(根据ASTM D5800B)为15.0重量%或更低,优选12.5重量%或更低,甚至更优选10.0重量%或更低。
根据本发明的润滑组合物可任选地进一步包含一种或多种添加剂,例如抗氧化剂、抗磨添加剂、分散剂、清净剂、高碱性清净剂、极压添加剂、摩擦改进剂、粘度指数改进剂、倾点下降剂、金属钝化剂、腐蚀抑制剂、破乳剂、消泡剂、密封相容剂和添加剂稀释剂基础油等。

优选地,润滑组合物含有至少0.1重量%的倾点下降剂。例如,烷基化萘和酚聚合物、聚甲基丙烯酸酯、马来酸酯/富马酸酯共聚物酯可以方便地用作有效的倾点下降剂。优选使用不超过0.5重量%的倾点下降剂。
此外,例如链烯基琥珀酸或其酯部分、苯并三唑类化合物和噻二唑类化合物的化合物可以方便地用作润滑组合物中的腐蚀抑制剂。
可方便地用于本发明润滑组合物中作为密封固定剂或密封相容剂的化合物包括例如市售芳香族酯。
本发明的润滑油组合物可以通过将挥发性降低添加剂和任何任选的添加剂与基础油混合而方便地制备。
以润滑组合物的总重量计,上述添加剂通常以在0.01至35.0重量%范围内的量存在,以润滑组合物的总重量计,优选以在0.05至25.0重量%范围内、更优选在1.0至20.0重量%范围内的量存在。
优选地,润滑组合物含有10重量%至15重量%的添加剂包,所述添加剂包包含添加剂的组合,所述添加剂包括抗氧化剂、锌类抗磨添加剂、无灰分散剂、高碱性清净剂混合物以及有机硅类消泡剂。
在另一方面,本发明提供挥发性降低添加剂的用途,其用于降低润滑组合物的NOACK挥发性,特别是其中润滑组合物包含费-托衍生的基础油。
此外,本发明提供一种改善NOACK挥发性的方法,所述方法包含用根据本发明的润滑组合物润滑发动机、特别是客车发动机的曲轴箱。
本发明在下文参考以下实例进行描述,以下实例并非旨在以任何方式限制本发明的范围。
实例
润滑油组合物
配制用于曲轴箱发动机的各种发动机油。表1指示所用基础油的性质。

表2指示所测试的完全配制的发动机油配制物的组成和特性;组分的量是以完全配制的配制物的总重量计,以重量%给出。
所有测试的配制物均含有基础油和添加剂的组合,其中每种情况下的基础油是GTL4。
“基础油1”是费-托衍生的基础油(“GTL4”),其在100℃下的运动粘度(ASTM D445)为约4cSt(mm2s-1)。这种基础油可以通过例如WO-A-02/070631(其教导以引用的方式并入本文中)中描述的方法方便地制造。
“添加剂A”是分散剂,Infineum C9280,其可从润英联(Infineum)商购获得。
“添加剂B”是胺类抗氧化剂,Infineum C9452,其可从润英联商购获得。
“添加剂C”是钼类摩擦改进剂,Infineum C9455,其可从润英联商购获得。
实例1至3和比较实例1和2的组合物通过使用常规的润滑剂掺合程序将基础油与添加剂(如果存在)混合而获得。通过ASTM D5800B进行的NOACK挥发性测试的结果显示在表2中。

讨论
从表2中可以了解到,与不含挥发性降低添加剂的比较实例1和2相比,含有挥发性降低添加剂的实例1-3的NOACK挥发性值显著更低。这些结果特别令人惊讶,因为实例1-3中所示的配制物中包括的每种添加剂包含浓缩物,其中添加剂已经在基础油中稀释,其NOACK挥发性通过ASTM D5800B测量大于12.5%,因此期望在实例1-3中添加添加剂会增加NOACK挥发性而不是使其降低。
本发明的一个重要益处是,对于未来的低粘度发动机油,例如0W-16(根据SAEJ300发动机油粘度等级表)和更低粘度(0W-12、0W-8等),严格的NOACK挥发性可以通过较少或不需要使用(相对昂贵的)聚α-烯烃(PAO)基础油来满足要求。
鉴于这些发现,预计许多其它化学品可以在降低NOACK挥发性方面提供类似的益处,例如已知的润滑剂添加剂化学品(抗磨剂、抗氧化剂、粘度指数改进剂、摩擦改进剂、清净剂、分散剂、倾点下降剂等)和与油-空气界面强烈相互作用以降低蒸发速率的任何其它化学物种,包括但不限于表面活性剂、官能化聚合物、离子液体、纳米颗粒等。

Claims (2)

1.挥发性降低添加剂用于降低润滑组合物的NOACK挥发性的用途,所述润滑组合物包含基础油,其中所述基础油包含以所述基础油的重量计80%或更多的一种或多种费-托衍生的基础油;且
其中所述组合物在100℃下的运动粘度(根据ASTM D445)为16.3mm2/s或更低,在-35℃下的低温曲柄粘度为至多6200cP(ASTM D5293),并且NOACK挥发性根据ASTM D5800B为至多15%,并且其中所述挥发性降低添加剂选自钼类摩擦改进剂、胺类抗氧化剂及其组合。
2.根据权利要求1所述的用途,其中所述组合物的NOACK挥发性根据ASTM D5800B为至多12.5%。
