Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications, and in particular, to a method, a base station, a terminal, and a readable medium for recovering an RRC connection.
Background
In a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system R13, a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection suspend/resume function is supported. When the RRC connection is released, the base station may request a User Equipment (UE) to store Access Stratum (AS) context (context) information, and the base station may also store AS context information of the UE, which is called RRC connection suspend. Thereafter, when the UE transitions from the RRC _ IDLE state to the RRC _ CONNECTED state, the UE and the base station may resume the RRC connection using the previously saved AS context information, i.e., RRC connection resume. When the UE suspends RRC connection in a certain base station, the UE may perform RRC connection restoration in the same base station, or may move to another base station to perform RRC connection restoration.
In LTE R15, in order to meet the needs of wireless communication services, the maximum number of Data Radio Bearers (DRBs) that a single UE can support is extended from 8 to 15. In consideration of different implementation versions of base stations, in practical applications, there may be scenarios in which some base stations support up to 8 DRBs for a single UE, and some base stations support more than 8 DRBs for a single UE. For simplicity, a base station supporting more than 8 DRBs for a single UE is simply described herein as a base station supporting more than 8 DRBs.
According to the prior art, when a UE establishes RRC connections of more than 8 DRBs for a base station that supports more than 8 DRBs for a single UE (i.e., the base station that serves the UE last before suspension) and suspends the RRC connections, and then the UE moves to a base station (new base station) that does not support more than 8 DRBs for RRC connection recovery, the new base station does not support the RRC connections of more than 8 DRBs, so that the RRC connections cannot be recovered normally, and the new base station may send an RRC connection establishment message to instruct the UE to perform connection establishment, which increases unnecessary signaling overhead and increases time for entering an RRC connection state.

Compared with the prior art, the technical scheme of the embodiment of the invention has the following beneficial effects:

Further, according to a preset criterion, part of the DRBs included in the AS context information is deleted, so that the base station and the UE can delete part of the DRBs included in the AS context information based on the same criterion, thereby avoiding carrying corresponding indication information through RRC recovery signaling, and saving overhead of RRC signaling.
Further, the AS context information containing the DRB number not greater than the preset threshold is sent to other service base stations, so that the other service base stations can normally recover the RRC connection corresponding to the UE.
Further, when the number of DRBs included in the stored AS context information is greater than a preset threshold and it is determined that the number of DRBs supported by the base station is not greater than the preset threshold, deleting a part of DRBs included in the AS context information until the number of DRBs included in the AS context information is not greater than the preset threshold, so that the UE and the base station can recover the RRC connection based on the same AS context information, thereby improving the success rate of RRC connection recovery.

Detailed Description
In the prior art, when the UE establishes RRC connections of more than 8 DRBs in a base station supporting more than 8 DRBs (i.e., the base station that last served the UE before suspension) and suspends the RRC connections, and then the UE moves to a base station (new base station) that does not support more than 8 DRBs to resume the RRC connections, the new base station does not support the RRC connections of more than 8 DRBs, which results in that the RRC connections cannot be normally resumed, and thus the new base station needs to send an RRC connection establishment message to instruct the UE to perform connection establishment, which increases unnecessary signaling overhead and increases time for entering an RRC connection state.
In the embodiment of the invention, for the scene that the number of the supported DRBs is not more than the preset threshold, AS context information containing the DRBs of which the number is not more than the preset threshold is obtained, and the RRC connection corresponding to the UE is recovered based on the AS context information. Because the number of DRBs included in the AS context information is not greater than the preset threshold, when the UE reselects to a base station that supports DRBs whose number is not greater than the preset threshold (i.e., a single UE does not support a base station that is greater than the preset threshold DRBs), and performs RRC recovery, the RRC connection can be recovered normally, thereby avoiding unnecessary signaling overhead caused by failure of RRC connection recovery, and improving the success rate of RRC connection recovery.
In order to make the aforementioned objects, features and advantages of the present invention comprehensible, embodiments accompanied with figures are described in detail below.
Referring to fig. 1, an embodiment of the present invention provides a method for recovering an RRC connection, which may include the following steps:
step S101, receiving RRC connection recovery request message sent by UE.
In an implementation, when the UE desires to resume the previously suspended RRC connection, the UE first sends an RRC connection resume request message to the base station, so the base station first needs to receive the RRC connection resume request message sent by the UE. The base station can acquire the identity of the UE and the identity of the base station that last served the UE before the RRC connection is suspended (i.e., the last serving base station) through the RRC connection resume request sent by the UE.
Step S102, when the number of DRBs supported by a single UE is not greater than a preset threshold, obtaining AS context information corresponding to the UE, wherein the number of DRBs contained in the AS context information is not greater than the preset threshold.
In specific implementation, when the UE reselects from a cell served by a last serving base station corresponding to the UE to a cell served by a new serving base station, where the number of DRBs supported by the last serving base station is greater than the preset threshold, and the number of DRBs supported by the new serving base station is not greater than the preset threshold, since the number of DRBs supported by the new serving base station is not greater than the preset threshold, and the number of DRBs in the previously stored AS context information may be greater than the preset threshold, the RRC connection cannot be normally recovered, so that the normal recovery of the RRC connection can be ensured by obtaining the AS context information including the number of DRBs that is not greater than the preset threshold.
In a specific implementation, the preset threshold may be 8, or may be another value, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
For example, when the UE moves from a cell governed by the last serving base station supporting more than 8 DRBs to a cell governed by a serving base station (new base station) not supporting more than 8 DRBs to perform RRC connection recovery, the new base station does not support RRC connection of more than 8 DRBs, which results in that the RRC connection cannot be recovered normally, and the RRC connection recovery fails, so that in the embodiment of the present invention, before the RRC connection of the UE is recovered, AS context information of which the number of DRBs is not more than 8 needs to be acquired.
In a specific implementation, when the UE moves to a new base station to perform RRC connection recovery, the new base station may send a request message to a last serving base station corresponding to the UE through an X2 interface, so AS to obtain AS context information corresponding to the UE.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the obtaining of the AS context information corresponding to the UE includes: sending an AS context request message to a last serving base station corresponding to the UE; the AS context request message contains an identity of the UE; and receiving and acquiring the AS context information from the last serving base station corresponding to the UE.
In a specific implementation, after receiving the AS context request message, the last serving base station may directly send the AS context information corresponding to the UE to the new base station, or may delete redundant DRBs in the AS context information according to the number of DRBs supported by the new base station, so AS to ensure that the number of DRBs included in the AS context information received by the new base station is not greater than the number of DRBs supported by the new base station.
In a specific implementation, the last serving base station may determine, according to the version information of the new base station, for example, a version number (Release), whether the DRBs supported by the new base station are greater than the preset threshold, or may obtain, through the AS context request message, indication information that the number of DRBs supported by the new base station is not greater than the preset threshold.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the AS context request message includes: and indicating information that the number of DRBs supported by a single UE is not greater than the preset threshold.
For example, the UE moves to a new base station, and the new base station does not support more than 8 DRBs, and sends an RRC connection recovery request message to the new base station; after receiving the RRC connection recovery request message, the new base station sends a request message to the last service base station corresponding to the UE through an X2 interface to acquire an AS context; and the last service base station learns that the new base station does not support more than 8 DRBs based on the version number of the new base station or the indication information contained in the request message, removes redundant DRBs in the AS context information corresponding to the UE, only reserves 8 DRBs, and then sends the AS context information corresponding to the UE to the new base station.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the number of DRBs included in the received AS context information is not greater than the preset threshold.
In a specific implementation, after receiving the AS context request message, the last serving base station may directly send the AS context information corresponding to the UE to the new base station, and the new base station may delete the DRB included in the AS context information corresponding to the UE.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the obtaining of the AS context information corresponding to the UE further includes: judging whether the number of DRBs contained in the received AS context information is greater than the preset threshold or not; and when the number of the DRBs contained in the received AS context information is larger than the preset threshold, deleting part of the DRBs contained in the received AS context information according to a preset criterion until the number of the DRBs contained in the received AS context information is not larger than the preset threshold.
In a specific implementation, whether it is a new serving base station or a last serving base station, a part of DRBs included in the AS context information may be deleted according to a preset criterion. For example, the first N DRBs in the AS context information are retained, and the following DRBs are deleted; or the last N DRBs in the AS context information may be retained, and the previous DRBs are deleted, or the first N DRBs with the higher priority may be retained according to the priority of the DRBs, and the remaining DRBs are deleted, where N is the preset threshold.
In specific implementation, the preset criterion may be constrained by a 3GPP standard protocol, or may be constrained by other manners, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
According to the preset criterion, the partial DRB contained in the AS context information is deleted, so that the base station and the UE can delete the partial DRB contained in the AS context information based on the same criterion, corresponding indication information is not required to be carried through RRC recovery signaling, and the overhead of RRC signaling is saved.
Step S103, based on the AS context information, recovering the RRC connection corresponding to the UE.
In a specific implementation, when the number of DRBs included in the stored AS context information is greater than the preset threshold and the number of DRBs supported by the new base station is not greater than the preset threshold, the new base station or the last serving base station deletes the number of DRBs included in the AS context information, so that, in order to ensure correct recovery of RRC connection, the UE also needs to delete the number of DRBs included in the AS context information to ensure that the new base station and the UE recover RRC connection based on the same AS context information.
In a specific implementation, the base station may notify the UE through an RRC connection recovery message: and the number of the supported DRBs is not more than the preset threshold, so that the UE deletes the DRBs contained in the stored AS context information.
In a specific implementation, the base station may also add, in the system message, indication information (or flag information) that the number of DRBs supported by the base station is greater than the preset threshold, and when the number of DRBs supported by the base station is not greater than the preset threshold, the indication information is not carried, so that when the system message received by the UE does not include a flag that the number of DRBs supported by the base station is greater than the preset threshold, it may be determined that the number of DRBs supported by the base station is not greater than the preset threshold.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the recovering the RRC connection corresponding to the UE includes: sending an RRC connection recovery message to the UE; the RRC connection recovery message includes: and indicating information that the number of the supported DRBs is not more than the preset threshold.
In another embodiment of the present invention, before the receiving the RRC connection recovery request message sent by the UE, the method further includes: sending a system message to the UE; when the number of the supported DRBs is greater than the preset threshold, the system message includes: indication information that the number of the supported DRBs is larger than the preset threshold; when the number of the supported DRBs is not greater than the preset threshold, the system message does not include: and indicating information that the number of the supported DRBs is larger than the preset threshold.
By applying the scheme, when the number of the supported DRBs is not more than the preset threshold, AS context information containing DRBs of which the number is not more than the preset threshold is acquired, and the RRC connection corresponding to the UE is recovered based on the AS context information. Because the number of DRBs contained in the AS context information is not greater than the preset threshold, when the UE reselects to the base station supporting the DRBs of which the number is not greater than the preset threshold and performs RRC recovery, the RRC connection can be recovered normally, unnecessary signaling overhead caused by the failure of the RRC connection recovery is avoided, and the success rate of the RRC connection recovery is improved.
In order to make those skilled in the art better understand and implement the present invention, another RRC connection recovery method is provided in the embodiments of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 2, the method for recovering the RRC connection may include the steps of:
step S201, receiving an AS context request message sent by another serving base station, where the AS context request message is used to request AS context information corresponding to the UE.
In a specific implementation, when the UE moves to a new serving base station (i.e., another serving base station) to perform RRC connection recovery, the another serving base station may send an AS context request message to the last serving base station through an X2 interface to obtain AS context information corresponding to the UE, so that the AS context request message sent by the another serving base station needs to be received first.
Step S202, the number of the DRBs supported by the other service base stations is judged to be not more than a preset threshold.
In a specific implementation, when the number of DRBs supported by the other serving base stations is not greater than the preset threshold, the number of DRBs included in the stored AS context information needs to be determined and deleted, so that the number of DRBs included in the AS context information corresponding to the UE is not greater than the preset threshold, and therefore it needs to be determined that the number of DRBs supported by the other serving base stations is not greater than the preset threshold.
In a specific implementation, it may be determined, according to the version number of the other base station, that the number of DRBs supported by the other serving base station is not greater than the preset threshold, or it may be determined, through the AS context request message sent by the other serving base station, that the number of DRBs supported by the other serving base station is not greater than the preset threshold.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the determining that the number of DRBs supported by the other serving base station is not greater than a preset threshold includes: and based on the version information of the other service base stations, judging that the number of the DRBs supported by the other service base stations is not more than the preset threshold.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the determining that the number of DRBs supported by the other serving base station is not greater than a preset threshold includes: determining, based on the AS context request message, that the number of DRBs supported by the other serving base stations is not greater than the preset threshold, wherein the AS context request message includes: and the indication information that the number of DRBs supported by the other base stations for the single UE is not more than the preset threshold.
Step S203, sending the AS context information corresponding to the UE to the other serving base stations, so that the other serving base stations are used to recover the RRC connection corresponding to the UE, where the number of DRBs included in the AS context information corresponding to the UE is not greater than the preset threshold.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the sending the AS context information corresponding to the UE to the other serving base station includes: judging whether the number of DRBs contained in the stored AS context information corresponding to the UE is greater than the preset threshold or not; when the number of DRBs contained in the AS context information corresponding to the UE is greater than the preset threshold, deleting part of DRBs contained in the AS context information corresponding to the UE according to a preset criterion until the number of DRBs contained in the AS context information corresponding to the UE is not greater than the preset threshold; and sending the AS context information corresponding to the UE to the other service base stations.
By applying the above scheme, the AS context information containing the DRB number not greater than the preset threshold is sent to other service base stations, so that the other service base stations can normally recover the RRC connection corresponding to the UE.
In order to make those skilled in the art better understand and implement the present invention, another RRC connection recovery method is further provided in the embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 3.
Referring to fig. 3, the method for recovering the RRC connection may include the steps of:
step S301 receives an RRC connection resume message sent by the base station.
In a specific implementation, when the UE needs to resume the previously suspended RRC connection, the UE first sends an RRC connection resume request message to the base station, and then receives an RRC connection resume message sent by the base station to resume the RRC connection.
Step S302, when the number of DRBs included in the stored AS context information is greater than a preset threshold and it is determined that the number of DRBs supported by the base station is not greater than the preset threshold, deleting a part of DRBs included in the AS context information according to a preset criterion until the number of DRBs included in the AS context information is not greater than the preset threshold.
In a specific implementation, when the UE reselects from the last serving base station to a new serving base station, where the number of DRBs supported by the last serving base station is greater than the preset threshold, and the number of DRBs supported by the new serving base station is not greater than the preset threshold, since the number of DRBs supported by the new serving base station is not greater than the preset threshold, and the number of DRBs included in the previously stored AS context information may be greater than the preset threshold, part of DRBs included in the AS context information needs to be deleted until the number of DRBs included in the AS context information is not greater than the preset threshold.
In a specific implementation, a part of DRBs included in the AS context information may be deleted according to a preset criterion that is the same AS that of the base station. For example, the first N DRBs in the AS context information are retained, the following DRBs are deleted, the last N DRBs in the AS context information are retained, the preceding DRBs are deleted, or the first N DRBs with high priority are retained according to the priority of the DRBs, and the remaining DRBs are deleted, where N is the preset threshold.
In a specific implementation, the UE may determine, through an RRC connection recovery message, that the number of DRBs supported by the base station is not greater than the preset threshold, or may determine, through a system message, that the number of DRBs supported by the base station is not greater than the preset threshold.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the determining that the number of DRBs supported by the base station is not greater than the preset threshold includes: determining, based on an RRC connection recovery message, that the number of DRBs supported by the base station is not greater than the preset threshold, where the RRC connection recovery message includes: and indicating information that the number of the supported DRBs is not more than the preset threshold.
In another embodiment of the present invention, before receiving the RRC connection recovery message sent by the base station, the method further includes: receiving a system message sent by a base station, wherein the system message comprises: indication information that the number of the supported DRBs is larger than the preset threshold; the determining that the number of DRBs supported by the base station is not greater than the preset threshold includes: and judging that the number of the DRBs supported by the base station is not greater than the preset threshold based on the system message.
In a specific implementation, the base station adds the indication information that the number of the supported DRBs is greater than the preset threshold in the system message, and when the number of the DRBs supported by the base station is not greater than the preset threshold, the base station does not carry the indication information, so that when the system message received by the UE does not include the flag that the number of the supported DRBs is greater than the preset threshold, it can be determined that the number of the DRBs supported by the base station is not greater than the preset threshold.
Step S303, resume RRC connection based on the AS context.
By applying the scheme, when the number of the DRBs supported by the base station is not greater than the preset threshold, the UE deletes the DRBs contained in the AS context information, so that the UE and the base station can recover the RRC connection based on the same AS context information, and the success rate of RRC connection recovery is improved.
