Detailed Description
To make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the exemplary embodiments of the present application clearer, the technical solutions in the exemplary embodiments of the present application will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the exemplary embodiments of the present application, and it is obvious that the described exemplary embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present application, but not all the embodiments.
The terminal for specific use in some industries, such as a medical care terminal, cannot access an external network through a local area network due to the limitation of the use environment and the management requirement, and therefore cannot be upgraded in an OTA mode. And by adopting a local upgrading mode, the terminals need to be upgraded manually one by one, and the upgrading operation is complex.
In order to solve the above problem, embodiments of the present application provide a terminal upgrade management method and a terminal upgrade management device that can implement the method. In the embodiment of the application, an independent upgrade server does not need to be erected in the local area network where the terminal is located, the portable device is used as the terminal upgrade management device to access the local area network, and the terminal in the local area network is upgraded and managed, so that the terminal which cannot be upgraded in an OTA mode is upgraded.
The embodiments of the present application will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 illustrates an application scenario in the embodiment of the present application.
The network architecture shown in fig. 1 includes a local area network 101 to which the terminals (102a, 102b, 102c) access and to which the terminal upgrade management device 103 also accesses. The terminals (102a, 102b, 102c) and the terminal upgrade management device 103 can perform information interaction and data transmission through the local area network 101. In the figure, 3 terminals are taken as an example for description, and the number of the terminals is not limited in practical application.
The terminals (102a, 102b, 102c) may be medical care terminals, or other terminals with similar use environment and management requirement limitation, that is, terminals that cannot be connected to outside through a local area network and cannot be upgraded in an OTA manner.
The terminal upgrade management device 103 is installed with a client program for implementing the terminal upgrade management function provided in the embodiment of the present application. Alternatively, the terminal upgrade management device 103 may be a portable device such as a portable computer (notebook computer).
In the above-mentioned architecture, after the terminal upgrade management device 103 accesses the local area network 101, a device discovery process is initiated to obtain a list of terminals accessing the local area network (referred to as a discovered terminal list in this embodiment), and a terminal to be upgraded is selected from the list, and a communication connection is established with the terminals, and an upgrade packet is sent to the terminal to be upgraded through the communication connection.
Based on the scenario shown in fig. 1, fig. 2 exemplarily shows a flowchart of the terminal upgrade management provided in the embodiment of the present application. As shown, the process may include:
s201: and the terminal upgrading management equipment accessed to the local area network sends the discovery message in the local area network.
In this step, after the terminal upgrade management device accesses the local area network, a device discovery process may be initiated. In the device discovery process, the terminal upgrade management device may send a discovery message through the accessed local area network, where the discovery message carries information such as an address (e.g., an IP address) of the terminal upgrade management device.
Alternatively, the discovery message may be transmitted in a broadcast manner. When the broadcast mode is adopted for sending, the destination address in the discovery message is the broadcast address, and the terminal can monitor the discovery message of which the destination address is the broadcast address.
Alternatively, the discovery message may be sent in a multicast mode, where the multicast mode belongs to a point-to-multipoint communication mode. When the multicast mode is adopted for sending, the destination address in the discovery message is a multicast address. All or part of the terminals in the local area network can be configured as multicast group members, so that the multicast group members can monitor and receive the discovery message with the destination address as the corresponding multicast address.
Alternatively, a plurality of multicast groups may be configured, and the terminals in the local area network may be configured in the corresponding multicast group according to the terminal type, location, and other information. The terminal upgrade management device can respectively perform device discovery and upgrade management for members in different multicast groups.
Optionally, the requirement on the transmission reliability of the discovery message is not high, so the discovery message sent in the multicast mode may be a User Datagram Protocol (UDP) message.
S202: and the terminal upgrading management equipment receives a response message returned by the terminal in the local area network based on the received discovery message to obtain a discovered terminal list.
In this step, the terminal that receives the discovery message may send a response message to the terminal upgrade management device according to the address of the terminal upgrade management device carried in the discovery message. Alternatively, the terminal may transmit the response message in a unicast manner.
The terminal address carried in the response message may be an IP address or a Media Access Control (MAC) address.
Optionally, the terminal upgrade management device may generate the discovered terminal list after receiving the response message returned by the terminal. And a graphical interface can be used for displaying the list, so that a user can conveniently view and inquire the relevant information of the discovered terminal through the interface.
S203: and the terminal upgrading management equipment selects a terminal to be upgraded from the discovered terminal list.
S204: and the terminal upgrading management equipment establishes communication connection with the terminal to be upgraded according to the address of the terminal to be upgraded and sends an upgrading packet to the terminal to be upgraded through the communication connection.
Alternatively, in S203, the terminal upgrade management device may select all terminals from the discovered terminal list, and initiate connection establishment procedures to the terminals, respectively, in S204. In S203, the terminal upgrade management device may also select a part of terminals from the discovered terminal list, and initiate connection establishment procedures to these terminals, respectively, in S204. In the flow shown in fig. 2, taking the terminal upgrade management device to select the terminal 102a and the terminal 102b in S203 as an example for description, in S204, the terminal upgrade management device initiates a connection establishment process to the terminal 102a and the terminal 102b, respectively, and sends upgrade packages to the terminal 102a and the terminal 102b through the established communication connection, respectively.
The terminal can receive the upgrade package sent by the terminal upgrade management device through the communication connection with the terminal upgrade management device. If the data volume of the upgrade package is large, the terminal upgrade management device can split the upgrade package and divide the upgrade package into a plurality of upgrade packages to send to the terminal. And after receiving all the upgrade packages, the terminal can automatically complete the upgrade.
And after the terminal is automatically upgraded, the terminal may need to be restarted, and under the condition, the terminal can be disconnected from the communication connection with the terminal upgrading management equipment.
Optionally, in order to check whether the terminal is upgraded successfully, the terminal upgrade management device may resend the multicast message, so that the terminal returns a response message carrying a version number after receiving the multicast message, and the terminal upgrade management device may determine whether the terminal is upgraded successfully according to the version number, thereby implementing the confirmation of the upgrade result.
In the above embodiment of the present application, after the terminal upgrade management device accesses the local area network, a discovery message is sent in the local area network, a response message sent by the terminal in the local area network based on the discovery message is received, a discovered terminal list is obtained, a terminal to be upgraded is selected from the discovered terminal list, according to an address of the terminal to be upgraded, a communication connection is established with the terminal to be upgraded, and an upgrade packet is sent to the terminal to be upgraded through the communication connection, so that upgrade management is performed on the terminal which cannot be upgraded through an OTA method.
Furthermore, the terminal upgrading management device can be a portable device, so that the terminal can be upgraded by one portable device, and the version condition of the terminal can be managed and counted.
Optionally, in some embodiments, the response message sent by the terminal may also carry terminal type information, such as a terminal model. Different types (different models) of terminals may be used to implement different functions, that is, application programs or firmware that need to be upgraded may be different, so that the terminal carries the type information of the terminal in the returned response message, and the terminal upgrade management device can select an upgrade package matched with the type of the terminal according to the type of the terminal.
Optionally, in some embodiments, the response message sent by the terminal may further carry terminal power information, such as remaining power of a terminal battery. Accordingly, the terminal upgrade management device may determine, as terminals to be upgraded, terminals whose remaining power is greater than or equal to a set threshold according to the power information of the terminals in the discovered terminal list, thereby establishing communication connections with the terminals and transmitting upgrade packages to the terminals. The value of the threshold may be set according to a situation, such as the size of an upgrade package or the overhead of upgrade operation, and the overhead of electric power for maintaining the basic functions of the terminal, for example, the value of the threshold may be 30%. By the scheme, the terminal with low electric quantity is not upgraded, and upgrading failure or incapability of realizing basic functions of the terminal caused by over-low electric quantity or exhausted electric quantity can be prevented.
In practical applications, the firmware versions of the terminal may include multiple versions, and it is not necessary to upgrade the firmware of each version, for example, if the version number is 2.0 and the firmware above supports a new function, only the terminal firmware with the version number less than 2.0 needs to be upgraded. For this situation, optionally, in some embodiments, the response message sent by the terminal may also carry terminal firmware version information, such as a firmware version number. Accordingly, the terminal upgrade management device may determine, as terminals to be upgraded, terminals whose firmware versions are set versions or terminals whose firmware versions are lower than the set versions, according to the firmware version information of the terminals in the discovered terminal list, thereby establishing communication connections with the terminals and transmitting upgrade packages to the terminals.
Optionally, in some embodiments of the present application, a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connection may be established between the terminal upgrade management device and the terminal to be upgraded, so as to ensure the reliability of the connection and stably transmit the upgrade package to the terminal.
Fig. 3 exemplarily shows a TCP connection establishment procedure in an embodiment of the present application. As shown, the process may include:
s301-302: after receiving a response message returned by the terminal based on the discovery message, the terminal upgrade management device proceeds to S303 if the IP address and the port number of the terminal can be obtained from the response message, otherwise, continues to receive the response message returned by the terminal;
s303: the terminal upgrading management equipment adds the terminal into a discovered terminal list;
s304: the terminal upgrading management equipment selects a terminal to be upgraded from the discovered terminal list and selects an upgrading packet for the terminal to be upgraded;
s305-306: the terminal upgrading management equipment initiates a TCP connection establishment process to the terminal to be upgraded, if the TCP connection is successfully established, the process goes to S307, otherwise, the process goes to S308;
s307: and the terminal upgrading management equipment sends the upgrading packet selected for the terminal to be upgraded of the opposite terminal through the TCP connection.
S308: the terminal upgrading management equipment checks the network connectivity, can further initiate a TCP connection establishment process to the terminal again according to the check result, and sends an upgrading packet selected for the terminal to be upgraded through the TCP connection if the connection establishment is successful.
Optionally, if the connection establishment fails after the TCP connection establishment process is initiated again, the terminal is abandoned from being upgraded. Or, the maximum number of attempts for connection establishment may be preset, and if the number of times that a certain terminal continuously initiates a TCP connection establishment procedure reaches the maximum number of attempts and a TCP connection cannot be established with the terminal, the terminal is abandoned from being upgraded.
In practical applications, if the terminal is in a sleep state or a deep sleep state, the upgrade operation may not be completed. For this reason, in some embodiments of the present application, the upgrade package sent by the terminal upgrade management device may carry indication information to indicate that the terminal does not enter the sleep state before the upgrade is completed. Specifically, the terminal upgrade management device can carry indication information at the head of the sent upgrade package, and after the terminal receives the upgrade packages, the indication information can be identified, and the terminal is guaranteed not to enter a dormant state or a deep dormant state in the downloading and upgrading processes, so that the running of foreground and background programs is guaranteed, and the upgrade failure caused by system dormancy is avoided.
Specifically, after receiving a first upgrade package sent by the terminal upgrade management device, the terminal locks the CPU of the terminal according to the indication information carried in the first upgrade package to prevent the terminal from entering a deep sleep state and continuously waiting for other upgrade packages. And after the terminal receives and finishes all the upgrading packets, starting an upgrading program for upgrading.
Optionally, if the terminal does not receive all the upgrade packages within a set long time, the network connectivity may be checked, and the TCP connection process may be re-initiated to the terminal upgrade management device according to the check result.
Optionally, the terminal may return a reception confirmation message to the terminal upgrade management device after receiving the upgrade package sent by the terminal upgrade management device, and if the terminal upgrade management device determines that the terminal fails to receive the upgrade package successfully (for example, the reception confirmation message returned by the terminal is not received within a set long time), the terminal may retransmit the upgrade package. Further, if the retransmission times reach the set times, the terminal upgrade management device checks the network connectivity, and may initiate a TCP connection establishment process to the terminal again according to the check result.
