Description

Sliding rail assembly for furniture
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a sliding rail assembly for furniture, and more particularly to a mechanism for mounting an accessory to a user as desired.
Background
In general, the slide rail assembly is used in a wide variety of applications, such as furniture or electronic equipment rack systems. In furniture, the slide rail assembly includes a fixed rail and a movable rail that are longitudinally displaceable relative to the fixed rail. The fixed rail is usually fixed to a cabinet, and the movable rail can be used to carry a drawer, so that the drawer can move relative to the cabinet through the movable rail.
However, sometimes, due to different market demands, for example, in the first demand, it may be desirable to have the drawer (movable rail) in the same position when being folded relative to the cabinet (fixed rail), or to have a function of reducing noise or buffering when being folded. Alternatively, in the second requirement, based on the tolerance problem, it may be desirable to have a mechanism for adjusting the depth of the drawer (movable rail) and the cabinet (fixed rail) relative to each other, so that the drawer (movable rail) can be at different positions when being folded relative to the cabinet (fixed rail), i.e. at different depth positions.
In the related art, for example, U.S. Pat. No. US 8,424,984B2 discloses a device for releasably connecting a drawer to a drawer slide assembly, wherein the drawer is in contact with a grip portion of the slide through a resilient region when the drawer is in an installed state. The elastic region serves as a buffer (cushien) between the support of the device and the grip of the rail, whereby it is possible to compensate for the length tolerance (length tolerances) of the drawer mounted on the rail. This related patent is incorporated herein by reference.

Detailed Description
As shown in fig. 1 and 2, a slide rail assembly 20 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a first rail 22, a second rail 24, a blocking structure 26, and a base 28. Also included is an accessory that includes a stop 30.
The first rail 22 has a rail 22a, an extending portion 22b and an upright portion 22 c. The extension 22b is connected between the rail 22a and the upright portion 22 c. The blocking structure 26 is disposed on one of the first rail 22 and the second rail 24, and the blocking structure 26 is disposed on the extension portion 22b of the first rail 22. The blocking structure 26 is, for example, a bump or a retaining wall. The first rail 22 has a front portion 23a and a rear portion 23 b. Preferably, the blocking structure 26 is arranged adjacent to the front portion 23a of the first rail 22.
The second rail 24 and the first rail 22 are longitudinally displaceable relative to each other. Preferably, a third rail 32 is movably installed between the second rail 24 and (the rail 22a of) the first rail 22, and the third rail 32 is used for extending the displacement stroke of the second rail 24 relative to the first rail 22. The second rail 24 has a front portion 25a and a rear portion 25 b. As shown in fig. 1, the second rail 24 is in an extended position E relative to the first rail 22.
The base 28 is connected to the other of the first rail 22 and the second rail 24. Here, the base 28 is connected to the second rail 24 as an example. The base 28 can be connected in a fixed manner to the second rail 24; alternatively, the base 28 can be removably connected to the second rail 24, and the base 28 can be considered part of the second rail 24 when the base 28 is connected to the second rail 24. Preferably, the base 28 is connected to the front portion 25a of the adjacent second rail 24. Preferably, the base 28 is longitudinally configured, and the base 28 includes a connection 34 and a plurality of walls, such as a first wall 36a, a second wall 36b, and a third wall 36 c. The connecting portion 34 connects the first wall 36a, and the first wall 36a, the second wall 36b and the third wall 36c are connected to a side portion 38 of the second rail 24 through the connecting portion 34. The first wall 36a, the second wall 36b and the third wall 36c are bent relative to each other and define a space S for the stopper 30 to be installed. Preferably, the first wall 36a, the second wall 36b and the third wall 36c form a non-circular outline and define the space S.
The stopper 30 is removably mounted to the base 28. For example, the stopper 30 includes a first portion 30a capable of being installed in the space S, and preferably, the stopper 30 further includes a second portion 30b connected to the first portion 30a, and the size of the second portion 30b is larger than the size of the first portion 30a and the size of the space S. When the first portion 30a is installed in the space S, the second portion 30b is located outside the space S of the base 28. Preferably, the stopper 30 comprises a non-metallic material, for example, the stopper 30 comprises a plastic or a flexible material.
As shown in fig. 3, the slide rail assembly 20 can be applied to a piece of furniture. The furniture comprises a first furniture part 40, for example a cabinet, and a second furniture part 42, for example a drawer. The second furniture member 42 has a front panel 42 a. Wherein the first rail 22 is fixedly mounted to the first furniture member 40 and may be considered to be part of the first furniture member 40. On the other hand, the second rail 24 is used to carry the bottom of the second furniture piece 42 and can be considered as a part of the second furniture piece 42. When the second rail 24 is in the extended position E relative to the first rail 22, the stopper 30 and the stopping structure 26 are spaced apart from each other.
In a first requirement, as shown in fig. 3 and 4, if the second rail 24 is desired to be folded relative to the first rail 22 to maintain a substantially same position or to have a noise reduction effect, the user can mount the stopper 30 of the accessory to the base 28.
Specifically, when the stopper 30 is mounted to the base 28 and the second rail 24 is retracted (e.g., fully retracted) from the extended position E in one direction D relative to the first rail 22, the stopper 30 (e.g., the second portion 30b) abuts against the blocking structure 26, so that the second rail 24 can be located at the same longitudinal position (the same depth position) relative to the first rail 22. For example, a first longitudinal position P1. In other words, each time the second rail 24 is retracted (e.g., fully retracted) relative to the first rail 22 from the extended position E toward the direction D, the second rail 24 can be substantially located at the first longitudinal position P1 relative to the first rail 22 by the stopper 30 abutting against the blocking structure 26. Since the stopper 30 comprises plastic or flexible material, when the stopper 30 abuts against the blocking structure 26, the impact sound or the buffering effect when the second rail 24 is folded to the first longitudinal position P1 relative to the first rail 22 can be reduced.
As shown in fig. 5 and 6, in a second requirement, if the user wants to provide the furniture or the slide rail assembly 20 with a depth adjustment function; alternatively, where the first rail 22 (or the first furniture member 40) and the second rail 24 (or the second furniture member 42) have tolerance issues and adjustment mechanisms are required to compensate for the tolerance, the fitting may also be an adjustment device 44, and the user may select the adjustment device 44 to be mounted to the base 28.
Specifically, if the stopper 30 is pre-installed on the base 28, the user can detach the stopper 30 from the base 28 and then detachably install the adjusting device 44 on the base 28. In other words, the stopper 30 and the adjusting device 44 can be independently mounted to the base 28 respectively according to the two different requirements of the user, i.e. the stopper 30 and the adjusting device 44 can be mounted at the same position. The adjusting device 44 includes a mounting member 46 and an adjusting member 48. The mounting member 46 and the adjustment member 48 are adjustably coupled relative to each other, for example, the mounting member 46 and the adjustment member 48 are threaded relative to each other. Wherein the mounting member 46 is received and mounted to the space S of the base 28, and the mounting member 46 has a first thread 50. On the other hand, the adjusting member 48 includes a body portion 48a, and preferably, a head portion 48b connected to the body portion 48a, and the size of the head portion 48b is larger than that of the body portion 48 a. When the adjusting member 48 is screwed to the first thread 50 of the mounting member 46 through a second thread 48c of the body portion 48a, the head portion 48b is located outside the space S of the base 28. By adjustably coupling the adjustment member 48 to the mounting member 46, the position of the adjustment member 48 relative to the mounting member 46 can be adjusted so that the length (longitudinal length) of the adjustment device 44 can be adjusted. It should be noted that, since the configuration relationship of other related components of the slide assembly 20 (e.g., the configuration relationship of the first rail 22, the second rail 24, the blocking structure 26 and the base 28) is described above, for brevity, no further description is provided herein.
As shown in fig. 6, the base 28 is connected to the front portion 25a of the adjacent second rail 24. Wherein, when the adjusting member 48 is not adjusted relative to the mounting member 46, the adjusting device 44 extends a first length L1 relative to the base 28. At this time, the adjustment member 48 is in a position relative to the mounting member 46, such as a second longitudinal position P2.
As shown in fig. 7, when the adjustment member 48 is rotated relative to the mounting member 46, for example, in a clockwise direction, the adjustment device 44 is adjusted to extend to a second length L2 relative to the base 28. At this point, the adjustment member 48 is in another position relative to the mounting member 46, such as a third longitudinal position P3.
As shown in fig. 8, when the adjustment member 48 is rotated, for example, counterclockwise, relative to the mounting member 46, the adjustment device 44 is adjusted to extend to a third length L3 relative to the base 28. At this time, the adjustment member 48 is in yet another position relative to the mounting member 46, such as a fourth longitudinal position P4.
The second longitudinal position P2, the third longitudinal position P3 and the fourth longitudinal position P4 are different positions, and the first length L1, the second length L2 and the third length L3 are different lengths.
As shown in fig. 9 and 10, when the adjusting device 44 is mounted to the base 28 and the adjusting member 48 is not adjusted relative to the mounting member 46 or the base 28 (not shown in the drawings, for example, the base 28 may be provided with a thread structure matching with the adjusting member 48) so that the adjusting device 44 has the first length L1, in this state, when the second rail 24 is retracted relative to the first rail 22 from the extended position E toward the direction D (e.g., fully retracted), the head 48b of the adjusting member 48 abuts against the blocking structure 26 (as shown in fig. 10), so that the second rail 24 can be located at a longitudinal position relative to the first rail 22, for example, represented by the second longitudinal position P2.
As shown in fig. 11, when the adjusting member 48 is adjusted relative to the mounting member 46 or the base 28 to make the adjusting device 44 have the second length L2, in this state, when the second rail 24 is folded relative to the first rail 22 from the extended position E toward the direction D (e.g., when fully folded), the head 48b of the adjusting member 48 abuts against the blocking structure 26 to make the second rail 24 be located at another longitudinal position relative to the first rail 22, such as the third longitudinal position P3.
As shown in fig. 12, when the adjusting member 48 is adjusted relative to the mounting member 46 or the base 28 to make the adjusting device 44 have the third length L3, in this state, when the second rail 24 is retracted relative to the first rail 22 from the extended position E toward the direction D (e.g., fully retracted), the head 48b of the adjusting member 48 abuts against the blocking structure 26, so that the second rail 24 can be located at another longitudinal position relative to the first rail 22, such as the fourth longitudinal position P4.
It can be seen that, by adjusting the length of the adjusting device 44 and the adjusting device 44 can abut against the blocking structure 26, it is provided that when the second rail 24 is folded relative to the first rail 22, the second rail 24 can be located at different longitudinal positions (different depth positions), such as the second longitudinal position P2, the third longitudinal position P3 or the fourth longitudinal position P4. It should be noted that, in the second requirement, if the adjusting member 48 of the adjusting device 44 is not adjusted relative to the mounting member 46, so that the adjusting device 44 is kept at a length (for example, the first length L1), and when the second rail 24 is retracted relative to the first rail 22 from the extended position E toward the direction D (for example, fully retracted), the second rail 24 can be at the same longitudinal position relative to the first rail 22, for example, the second longitudinal position P2, by the abutting of the adjusting member 48 to the blocking structure 26. It can be seen that the adjustment member 48 must be adjusted relative to the mounting member 46 so that the second rail 24 is at a different longitudinal position (e.g., the third longitudinal position P3 or the fourth longitudinal position P4) than the second longitudinal position P2 when it is retracted relative to the first rail 22.
From the above description, it can be seen that the enhanced efficacy and advantages of the present invention are:
1. the user can mount the stopper 30 of the accessory to one rail so that the rail can be maintained at substantially the same position when folded relative to another rail or can reduce the impact sound to have a buffering effect; alternatively, the user may choose to mount the adjustment device 44 of the accessory to the track, and in response to adjusting the length of the adjustment device 44, enable the track to be in a different position when retracted relative to another track. Thus, different requirements can be met.
2. In response to the adjustment of the length of the adjustment device 44 and the matching of the adjustment device 44 and the blocking structure 26, the second furniture member 42 (or the second rail 24) of the furniture can be at different longitudinal positions when folded relative to the first furniture member 40 (or the first rail 22), so the structural configuration is simplified to meet the specific operation requirements in the market.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the present specific embodiments, it will be recognized by those skilled in the art that the above embodiments are illustrative only, and various equivalent changes and modifications may be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention, and therefore, it is intended to cover in the appended claims all such changes and modifications as fall within the true spirit of the invention.
