Description

用于复合材料夹层板的芯
本发明涉及用于复合材料夹层板的芯,该复合材料夹层板包含纤维增强基质树脂复合材料的外层。本发明还涉及制造用于复合材料夹层板的芯,特别是包含纤维增强基质树脂复合材料外层的夹层板的芯的方法。
在结构复合材料领域中众所周知的是采用木材如轻木(以下也称为“轻木”)作为包含纤维增强基质树脂复合材料外层的夹层板的芯的材料。夹层板通常通过在轻木的相对表面上设置相应的纤维层,然后在真空辅助树脂传递模塑步骤中将可固化树脂注入所述纤维层并抵靠所述相对表面来制造。然后将树脂固化以形成所述夹层板。
软木具有高的抗压强度和剪切强度,这可相应地为夹层板的芯提供高的抗压强度和剪切强度。然而,轻木是天然材料,并且因此具有不是特别均匀的结构和性能。特别地,轻木的密度不同,并且因此难以生产具有高度均匀和可预测的工程性能的轻木芯。
需要提供一种用于复合材料夹层板的芯,其包括木材如轻木,并且能够表现出比典型的木材(例如轻木)样品块中存在的机械性能更均匀的机械性能,特别是更均匀的密度。
可商购获得的、用于制造结构产品的轻木具有130-160kg/m3的相对高的密度,其比用于工程应用,特别是用作夹层芯的许多结构聚合物泡沫更重。例如,本申请人的市售的苯乙烯丙烯腈(SAN)结构泡沫以及目前的PVC和PET结构泡沫可以具有在60-110kg/m3的范围内的密度,尽管这些泡沫的更高密度的变例也是可商购的。尽管可以在比当前的5年最低收获树龄更早地从轻木树收获更低密度的轻木,但这并不经济,因为来自树木的轻木的收率太低。
需要提供一种用于复合材料夹层板的芯,其包括木材如轻木且能够在比已知的轻木芯低的芯密度下表现出高质量的机械性能,例如抗压强度和剪切强度。
为了提供具有高剪切强度的芯,已知将轻木树切成条。通常,所述条的长度为1-1.5m,横截面大约为50×50mm,条的长度与树干方向对齐。这些条被在压力机中粘合在一起以形成轻木块,该轻木块通常为1至1.5米高、1.2宽和0.7米深,具有与树干方向对齐的纵向方向。然后所述块被切成片材,所述片材的主要平面切割表面基本上横向于轻木树的高度方向。所述切割表面暴露了导管的末端,导管的直径通常为0.2至0.4mm,它们是形成轻木树水输送系统的主要部分的针状细胞。在用于制造芯的切割片材中,所述导管部分在片材的主要平面切割表面之间延伸。直径通常为0.02至0.04mm的轴向薄壁组织细胞以及纤维也在所述片材的主要平面切割表面之间延伸。然而,通过暴露导管的末端和轴向薄壁组织细胞的末端,这种横向表面倾向于吸收大量的在真空辅助树脂传递模塑步骤中被注入纤维增强材料中的树脂。芯中吸收的树脂显著增加夹层板的重量,而不增加夹层板的机械性能,这是不希望的。而且,树脂吸收到轻木芯中会增加制造过程中的原材料成本。
当在真空辅助树脂传递模塑步骤中将树脂注入到表面上时,轻木芯的相对表面倾向于通过将树脂吸收到相对表面中而具有吸收可固化树脂的倾向。轻木的这种细胞结构导致轻木在加工以形成夹层板的芯的过程中吸收大体积和重量的树脂。通常,轻木在加工以形成夹层板的芯的过程中吸收高达2.5kg/m3的树脂。
因此,还需要使包含木材如轻木的芯的树脂吸收最小化,所述树脂吸收增加了夹层板的不希望的重量和成本。
轻木是刚性的,并且不能被包模成型(draped)以形成紧靠由模具限定的三维表面的三维形状。已知将轻木片切成块并将所述块组装到柔性稀洋纱上,例如如US-A-4568585中所公开的,以使得到的芯能够被包模成型到模具的三维表面上。然而,所述组装件在相邻的轻木块之间提供了间隙,这在加工以形成夹层板的芯的过程中导致额外的寄生树脂吸收树脂。
因此,还需要增加包含木材如轻木的芯的柔韧性,这样的芯可以更容易地三维成形。
当使用轻木供应来制造用于复合材料夹层板的轻木芯时,为了尝试获得与典型的轻木树中存在的相比更均匀的机械性能,特别是更均匀的密度,来自树木的一些轻木不能使用。换句话说,由于来自给定树木或收获的一批树木的轻木的可变性能,降低了用于工程应用(例如夹层芯制造)的有用轻木的收率。US-A-2003/0049428公开了提供由通过树脂粘合在一起的加工的洋麻、轻木或其他纤维素茎构成的芯,该方法允许制造“塑料木”产品,但是这样的产品不会表现出一些工程芯所要求的均匀的机械性能,特别是低密度。
总体来说,需要结合有芯的夹层板,该芯包含木材如轻木以展现出高机械性能的组合,包括高均匀性、低密度和低树脂吸收,并且其可以高效、容易和便宜地制造。
使用用于复合材料夹层板的芯生产风力涡轮机叶片是众所周知的。这样的风力涡轮机叶片通常具有大于50米的长度,具有大的表面积以捕获空气动力载荷并通过结构梁将它们传递到发电机的轮轴以产生旋转。由于叶片的大表面积,叶片表皮需要具有足够的劲度以防止面板弯曲,并且为了以尽可能低的重量产生该面板劲度,使用夹层板结构。
虽然已知轻木用作风力涡轮机叶片用夹层板中的芯材料,但仍需要包含木材如轻木的芯材料,其与已知的高密度轻木芯相比具有减少的每立方米芯的重量。还需要减少木材如轻木的树脂吸收。还需要增加机械性能的均匀性,以提供具有与已知的轻木芯相比在机械性能方面更一致和可预测的机械性能的工程芯。还希望避免在木材如轻木上使用柔性稀洋纱,当稀洋纱与3D表面吻合时其在各个木块之间产生间隙,导致大量树脂吸收到间隙中的问题。需要提供一种包含木材如轻木的芯,其能够使木材顺从3D表面而不会遇到大量树脂吸收到芯中木材中的问题。
本发明旨在至少部分地满足这些需要中的一个或多个。
因此,本发明提供了用于复合材料夹层板的芯,该芯包含在聚合物泡沫连续基质中的、由轻木组成的多个对齐的细长元件的规则阵列,所述聚合物泡沫连续基质已经模制在所述元件周围,其中每个元件具有多边形横截面,所述基质填充相邻元件之间的空隙并将所述元件粘合在一起以形成整体,其中所述阵列是具有第一和第二正交方向的矩形阵列,阵列中的元件在所述第一正交方向上形成多条平行线,每条平行线包含一系列元件,并且每条平行线中的元件在第一正交方向上相对于在第二正交方向上相邻的平行线中的元件偏移,其中所述芯具有各自相对的主表面,所述元件阵列在所述相对的主表面之间在芯的厚度方向上延伸,并且其中所述元件的木材纹理在厚度方向上延伸。

本发明还提供了制造本发明的用于复合材料夹层板的芯的方法,该方法包括以下步骤:(a)在模具中提供由木材组成的多个对齐的细长元件的阵列;和(b)在所述模具内围绕所述阵列形成聚合物泡沫基质以形成模制的芯,所述基质填充相邻元件之间的空隙并将所述元件粘合在一起以形成整体。
本发明还提供了复合材料夹层板,其包含夹在相对的纤维增强基质树脂材料外层之间的本发明的芯。

尽管本发明的优选实施方案采用轻木作为形成芯中元件的木材,但除了轻木之外本发明还可以使用任何其他木材,取决于所述元件和所得芯的密度和结构性能,特别是压缩模量和剪切模量。此外,所述元件可以任选地由多于一种木材组成,其中每个元件由单独的木材形成且多个元件具有不同的木材,和/或各个元件由多种不同的木材形成。
本发明的优选实施方案提供了工程轻木芯,其能够利用轻木的高机械性能,特别是高压缩模量和剪切模量,然而由于提供了轻木和低密度聚合物泡沫的工程芯结构而具有降低的芯密度。可以减小每平方米芯的重量,而不会显著损害许多应用(特别是在风力涡轮机叶片中的结构夹层部件的根部和/或叶片部分中的应用)所要求的芯的机械性能。降低芯中高密度轻木的比例而增加低密度聚合物泡沫的比例将降低芯的总密度。而且,泡沫表面在加工过程中倾向于比轻木吸收更少的树脂,并且因此由于在加工以形成结构夹层部件过程中减少了芯的树脂吸收,工程芯的重量进一步减少。
在工程芯中具有基本上均匀的性能,特别是密度的聚合物泡沫的使用增加了所述芯的机械性能的均匀性,与仅包含轻木的芯相比。与仅包含轻木的芯相比,所得到的工程芯具有更一致和可预测的机械性质和性能。
每立方米聚合物泡沫(特别是可以以典型地约20至80kg/m3的低密度制造的聚氨酯泡沫)的成本低于每立方米轻木的成本。因此,所述工程芯的生产成本可以低于仅包含轻木的芯的生产成本。
本发明的优选实施方案提供了工程轻木芯,其弹性模量(E)可以低于单独轻木的弹性模量(E)。因此,所述工程轻木芯比仅包含轻木的芯更柔韧,并且没有必要在芯中形成将增加芯的不希望的树脂吸收的狭长切口。此外,由于聚合物泡沫可以通过加热软化,从而具有较低的机械性能并且可以模塑,因此所述工程轻木芯可以通过热成型而被三维成形。
本发明的优选实施方案提供了工程轻木芯,其可以为整个芯提供高剪切模量(G),该高剪切模量足以提供风力涡轮机叶片应用所要求的剪切性能。
本发明的优选实施方案提供了工程轻木芯,其可以使用与仅包含轻木的芯能够使用的轻木元件相比具有更多变化的机械性能的轻木元件,因为所述工程芯由于含聚合物泡沫的混合结构而具有比单独的轻木更均匀的性能。
本发明的优选实施方案提供了工程轻木芯,其关于在聚合物泡沫的连续基质中的轻木元件阵列具有特定的“全丁砖砌合法”横截面。已经发现所述“全丁砖砌合法”横截面为结合有芯的夹层板的表层层压物提供了结构支撑,这避免了在所述芯的平面中施加的载荷(其代表了施加到风力涡轮机叶片中的夹层板的轴向载荷)下表层起皱或表层翘曲。逐渐变小横截面的轻木元件的使用倾向于减少表层起皱的问题。

参见图1和2,图1显示了根据本发明一个实施方案的芯2,图2显示了结合到复合材料夹层板中的所述芯2。在这些图中,为了清楚图解说明的目的,夸大了一些尺寸。如上所述,本发明的优选实施方案采用轻木作为形成芯中元件的木材,但是本发明可以另外使用任何其他木材。因此,在以下描述中,在任何实施方案或实施例中使用的轻木可以部分地由任何其他合适的木材代替。
所述芯2用于形成复合材料夹层板。芯2包含在聚合物泡沫的连续基质8中的多个对齐的细长轻木元件6的阵列4。聚合物泡沫的基质8已经模制在元件6周围,所述基质填充相邻元件6之间的空隙7并将元件6结合在一起以形成整体9。芯2具有各自相对的主表面10,12。轻木元件6的阵列4在相对的主表面10,12之间在芯2的厚度方向上延伸。轻木元件6的木材纹理、导管和轴向薄壁组织细胞在所述厚度方向上延伸。
所述轻木元件6具有15至100mm,任选地具有相同的横截面形状和尺寸(其为15至100mm),沿在厚度方向上延伸的轻木元件6的长度任选地是均匀的。在替代的实施例中,所述轻木元件6可以具有不同的横截面形状和/或尺寸。
阵列4是规则阵列,并且聚合物泡沫的基质8将阵列4中的每个轻木元件6与阵列4中的相邻轻木元件6分开。通常,阵列4中的每个轻木元件6与阵列4中的相邻轻木元件6被厚度为3至50mm,任选地3至25mm,进一步任选地3至15mm的聚合物泡沫分开,和/或聚合物泡沫的厚度为相应轻木元件6的最大宽度的25至75%。相对的主表面10,12各自具有的表面积包含40至60%的轻木和60至40%的聚合物泡沫,例如40至小于50%的轻木和大于50至最高60%的聚合物泡沫。

在优选的实施方案中,轻木元件6具有多边形横截面,具有多个在芯2的厚度方向沿所述轻木元件6纵向延伸的细长的平面侧面。所述多边形横截面可以具有任何规则的多边形形状,例如三角形、五边形、六边形等,但是优选地所述多边形横截面是矩形或正方形。
在优选的实施方案中,所述多边形横截面的最大宽度尺寸为15至100mm,任选地为15至50mm,并且优选地最小宽度尺寸为15至100mm,任选地为15至50mm。通常,所述多边形横截面是矩形或正方形,最大宽度尺寸为15至50mm,任选地为15至30mm,最小宽度尺寸为15至50mm,任选地为15至30mm。例如,轻木元件6具有正方形横截面,其长度和宽度尺寸为20mm。通常,阵列4中的每个轻木元件6具有基本上相同的横截面形状和尺寸。
在优选的实施方案中,所述聚合物泡沫是闭孔泡沫。优选地,所述聚合物泡沫是聚氨酯泡沫。通常,聚合物泡沫的密度为20至150kg/m3,例如20至100kg/m3,通常为20至65kg/m3。所述芯2包含相对高密度的轻木和相对低密度的聚合物泡沫的结构排列物,其中轻木和聚合物泡沫之间的体积关系使得所述芯2的密度在轻木和聚合物泡沫的密度值之间。
当如上所述相对的主表面10,12各自具有包含40至60%轻木和60至40%聚合物泡沫如40至小于50%轻木和大于50至最高60%聚合物泡沫的表面积时,存在相应的轻木和聚合物泡沫体积关系,因为所述芯具有直的平行侧面并且所述元件具有直的侧面。该体积关系相应地决定了芯2相对于轻木和聚合物泡沫的密度值的密度。
如上所述,轻木是刚性的,并且因此具有高的弹性模量(E)。选择聚合物泡沫以具有比轻木低的弹性模量(E)。因此,在芯2中,在聚合物泡沫的连续基质8中的轻木元件6的结构组装物为整个芯2提供了比单独的轻木低的弹性模量(E)。而且,如上所述,轻木具有高的剪切强度和高的剪切模量(G)。聚合物泡沫具有比轻木低的剪切模量(G),但是在聚合物泡沫的连续基质8中的轻木元件6的结构组装物仍然为整个芯2提供了高的剪切模量(G)。此外,优选地轻木和聚合物泡沫的泊松比基本上相同,使得所述芯在轻木和聚合物泡沫二者的区域中基本上均匀地压缩。
在优选的实施方案中,根据ISO 844 B测量,聚合物泡沫的压缩弹性模量(E)为5至150MPa,任选地5至100MPa,进一步任选地5至35MPa;根据ASTM C273测量,聚合物泡沫的剪切模量(G)为3至60MPa,任选地3至40MPa,进一步任选地3至10MPa;和/或聚合物泡沫的泊松比为0.25至0.5。
在优选的实施方案中,根据ISO 845 2006在木材经过24小时调节以达到基于木材的总重量计10-14wt%的水分含量后测量,木材(优选轻木)具有80至230kg/m3,任选地100至210kg/m3,进一步任选地120至190kg/m3的密度;根据ISO 844 B测量,木材(优选轻木)的压缩弹性模量(E)为1000至6000MPa;和/或根据ASTM C273测量,木材(优选轻木)的剪切模量(G)为80至250MPa。
在优选的实施方案中,轻木和聚合物泡沫的密度之间的比例在1.5至12:1的范围内;轻木和聚合物泡沫的弹性模量(E)之间的比例在6至1200:1的范围内;和/或轻木和聚合物泡沫的剪切模量(G)之间的比例在2至85:1的范围内。
通常,芯2的密度为60至150kg/m3,任选地为60至120kg/m3,进一步任选地为60至100kg/m3
芯2优选呈块16的形式,其具有在轻木元件6的长度方向上延伸的100到50mm的高度。通常,所述块16具有与所述高度正交并且彼此正交的长度和宽度,所述长度和宽度各自在500至3000mm的范围内。所述块16可以具有提供250,000至1,500,000mm2的块16横截面积的长度和宽度。
图3中示出了所述芯的横截面的一种替代结构。该结构在轻木元件26和形成聚合物泡沫基质30的层28之间形成“棋盘”关系,所述基质是不连续的。轻木元件26和层28是方形的(但可以是矩形的),具有相同的形状和尺寸,并且在两个正交方向上交替排列以提供棋盘结构。每个轻木元件26的每个角部对角线地接触相邻轻木元件26的角部,并且相应地每个层28的每个角部对角线地接触相邻层28的角部。
图4中示出了用于芯的横截面的另一替代结构。该结构在轻木元件32和形成聚合物泡沫基质36的层34之间形成“荷兰式砌合法”关系,所述基质是不连续的。轻木元件32和层34是矩形的,并且轻木元件32的尺寸在长度和宽度上都大于层34。所述“荷兰式砌合法”规定,轻木元件32在一个正交方向上在四个角中的每个角处与相邻线中的其他轻木元件32重叠,并且轻木元件32和层34在两个正交方向上都交替排列以提供“荷兰式砌合法”结构。该结构使轻木元件32彼此接触以形成由多个单独的轻木元件的阵列构成的、轻木的连续体38以及聚合物泡沫的层34,该层34构成在轻木的连续体38内的、泡沫的隔离区域或“岛”的规则图案。
轻木元件6通常按照以下方法制造。首先,提供一块实心轻木,其可以具有在300至1500mm的范围内的高度,并且通常具有1.2米的高度,并且可以具有在0.6至1.2米的范围内的长度和宽度,通常具有1200毫米的长度和600毫米的宽度。从该块状物切割轻木元件,通常为20mm×20mm正方形并具有相同的高度。
如图5中所示,在制造芯2的方法中,对齐的细长轻木元件6的阵列4是在模具50中所提供的元件。所述元件可以具有前一段中所描述的尺寸。阵列4通过夹具52暂时保持就位。然后在模具50内的阵列4周围形成聚合物泡沫基质,以形成模制的芯2。基质8通过将预发泡的聚氨酯泵送到模具50中或通过将包含聚氨酯树脂和本领域已知的发泡剂的可发泡聚氨酯泵送到模具50中使得聚合物泡沫膨胀且在模具50内原位形成而形成。在两者中任一情况下,所述聚合物泡沫直接粘合到所述细长轻木元件6的边缘表面上。在形成芯2之后,所述芯的高度、长度和宽度可以被切割成任何所需的尺寸。或者,可以模制所述芯以形成所述芯的预设高度、长度和宽度。通常,所述模制方法形成木质元件和泡沫基质的整体模制块,其高度为300至1500mm(高度在图5的细长元件6的纵向方向上测量),长度为600至1200mm,并且宽度为600至1200mm,然后在垂直于高度的方向上切割所述块状物以形成多个单独的芯,每个芯具有10至50mm的高度。
如图2中所示,本发明还提供了复合材料夹层板24,其中芯2夹在纤维增强基质树脂材料的相对的外层18,20之间,如图2中所示。纤维增强基质树脂材料的外层18,20优选包含玻璃纤维和碳纤维中的至少一种和固化的热固性树脂基质,例如环氧树脂基质。可以使用其它树脂,例如乙烯基酯树脂,其已知用于制造夹层板。所述固化的热固性树脂通过包含固化的粘合树脂的涂层22粘合到所述芯的相对的主表面10,12上。
固化的粘合树脂最初作为可固化树脂组合物施加到所述相对的主表面10,12上,所述可固化树脂组合物例如包含至少一种可聚合的不饱和单体,优选至少一种丙烯酸酯或甲基丙烯酸酯单体,和作为弹性体的至少一种聚氨酯丙烯酸酯单体,以及用于聚合所述至少一种可聚合单体的固化剂。然而,可以使用其他可固化树脂组合物。可固化树脂组合物优选包括弹性体组分,使得固化的树脂层具有柔韧性,并且当所得到的夹层板受到弯折应力时不会倾向于从芯或层压树脂开裂或脱粘。
固化可以通过热辐射热、紫外线辐射、电子束辐射或能够快速固化所述树脂组合物的任何其它合适的电磁辐射进行。优选地,使用紫外线辐射,在这种情况下固化剂包含通过紫外线辐射引发的光引发剂。因此在涂覆树脂之后快速进行固化,以使在其间未固化树脂能够流入轻木导管的时间段最小化,并且快速地基本上完全固化整个树脂涂层,从而确保在快速固化后基本上没有进一步的树脂渗透。
本发明提供了工程轻木芯,其中通过聚合物泡沫而不是轻木元件的端面提供与相对的结构层结合的芯表面的高比例表面积。因此,控制并最小化了树脂渗透到轻木中,从而最小化了树脂吸收到轻木中。
所述复合材料夹层板可以被结合到结构元件如风力涡轮机叶片或船舶部件或船舶中。
参考以下非限制性实施例进一步举例说明本发明。
实施例1
提供了具有如图1中所示的横截面的轻木芯。轻木元件具有20mm x 20mm的正方形横截面。所述轻木元件被形成连续的泡沫基质的10mm的泡沫层分离。所述泡沫包含密度为62kg/m3的聚氨酯泡沫。该泡沫的弹性模量(E)为17MPa,剪切模量(G)为6.3MPa,泊松比为0.35。
当用于制造风力涡轮机叶片—其具有由两个相对的、单层1200gsm玻璃纤维环氧树脂复合材料的外表层覆盖的、由40mm厚度的芯形成的主叶片部分—时,在施加的轴向载荷下的屈曲性能通过有限元分析(FEA)确定并量化为1的相对屈曲性能(RBP)。
相比之下,由本申请人以商品名“PVC 60”销售的、密度为60kg/m3的商业PVC结构泡沫也具有1的相对屈曲性能(RBP),但具有比实施例1的混合工程轻木芯高的生产成本。尽管与PVC 60相比实施例1的混合工程轻木芯会表现出一些增加的重量,但是实施例1的混合工程轻木芯允许以较低的成本实现基本上相似的结构性能。
而且,相比之下,与传统的仅轻木的芯相比,实施例1的混合工程轻木芯将表现出减轻的重量和降低的成本。
实施例2
提供了具有如图3中所示的横截面的轻木芯。轻木元件具有20mm x 20mm的正方形横截面。所述轻木元件被形成不连续的泡沫基质的、具有20×20mm的正方形区域的泡沫层分离。所述泡沫包含密度为62kg/m3的聚氨酯泡沫。该泡沫的弹性模量(E)为17MPa,剪切模量(G)为6.3MPa,泊松比为0.35。
当用于制造风力涡轮机叶片—其具有由两个相对的、单层1200gsm玻璃纤维环氧树脂复合材料的外表层覆盖的、由40mm厚度的芯形成的主叶片部分—时,在施加的轴向载荷下的屈曲性能通过有限元分析(FEA)确定并量化为1.2的相对屈曲性能(RBP)。该实施例提供了与实施例1类似的轴向屈曲性能,但实施例2的棋盘结构具有比实施例1的全丁砖砌合法结构低的泡沫比例,并且因此与实施例I相比具有更高的重量和成本。
实施例3
提供了具有如图4中所示的横截面的轻木芯。轻木元件具有30mm宽×60mm长的矩形横截面,并且泡沫区域是矩形的,具有30宽×40mm长的横截面,形成不连续的泡沫基质。所述泡沫包含密度为62kg/m3的聚氨酯泡沫。该泡沫的弹性模量(E)为17MPa,剪切模量(G)为6.3MPa,泊松比为0.35。
当用于制造风力涡轮机叶片—其具有由两个相对的、三层1200gsm玻璃纤维环氧树脂复合材料的外表层覆盖的、由25mm厚度的芯形成的叶片根部—时,在施加的横向载荷下的屈曲性能通过有限元分析(FEA)确定并量化为3.0的相对屈曲性能(RBP)。
相比之下,由本申请人以商品名“PVC 60”销售的、密度为60kg/m3的商业PVC结构泡沫具有仅1.0的相对屈曲性能(RBP)。本实施例能够提供比PVC 60泡沫高的结构性能,其成本和重量低于用于芯制造的100%典型轻木。

Claims (38)

1.用于复合材料夹层板的芯,该芯包含在聚合物泡沫连续基质中的、由轻木组成的多个对齐的细长元件的规则阵列,所述聚合物泡沫连续基质已经模制在所述元件周围,其中每个元件具有多边形横截面,所述基质填充相邻元件之间的空隙并将所述元件粘合在一起以形成整体,其中所述阵列是具有第一和第二正交方向的矩形阵列,在所述第一正交方向上阵列中的元件形成多条平行线,每条平行线包含一系列元件,并且在每条平行线中的元件在第一正交方向上相对于在第二正交方向上相邻的平行线中的元件偏移,其中所述芯具有各自相对的主表面,所述元件阵列在所述相对的主表面之间在芯的厚度方向上延伸,并且其中所述元件的木材纹理在厚度方向上延伸。
2.权利要求1所述的芯,其中所述元件具有基本上相同的横截面形状和尺寸。
3.权利要求2所述的芯,其中所述元件的横截面形状和尺寸沿所述元件的长度是基本上均匀的。
4.权利要求1-3中任一项所述的芯,其中所述聚合物泡沫基质将所述阵列中的每个元件与所述阵列中的相邻元件分开。
5.权利要求4所述的芯,其中所述阵列中的每个元件与所述阵列中的相邻元件被厚度为3-50mm,任选地3-25mm,进一步任选地3-15mm的聚合物泡沫分开。
6.权利要求4或权利要求5所述的芯,其中所述阵列中的每个元件与所述阵列中的相邻元件被厚度为相应元件的最大宽度的25-75%的聚合物泡沫分开。
7.权利要求1-6中任一项所述的芯,其中所述相对的主表面各自具有包含40-60%木材和60-40%聚合物泡沫的表面积。
8.权利要求7所述的芯,其中所述相对的主表面各自具有包含40%至小于50%木材和大于50%至最高60%聚合物泡沫的表面积。
9.权利要求1-8中任一项所述的芯,其中在每条平行线中的元件在第一正交方向上相对于在相邻平行线中的元件偏移的偏移距离为在第一正交方向上所述元件的宽度的25-85%。
10.权利要求9所述的芯,其中所述偏移距离为所述元件和在所述元件一侧上的相邻聚合物泡沫层在第一正交方向上的总宽度的25-75%。
11.权利要求10所述的芯,其中所述偏移距离为所述元件和在所述元件一侧上的相邻聚合物泡沫层在第一正交方向上的总宽度的45-55%。
12.权利要求1-11中任一项所述的芯,其中在第二正交方向上,在每条平行线中的元件是偏移的,使得对于任意四条相邻的平行线,在第一和第三平行线中的元件沿所述第二正交方向相互对齐且在所述第一正交方向上相对于在第二和第四平行线中的元件是偏移的,在第二和第四平行线中的元件沿所述第二正交方向相互对齐。
13.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述多边形横截面是矩形或正方形。
14.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述多边形横截面具有15-100mm,任选地15-50mm的最大宽度尺寸。
15.权利要求14所述的芯,其中所述多边形横截面具有15-100mm,任选地15-50mm的最小宽度尺寸。
16.权利要求15所述的芯,其中所述多边形横截面是矩形或正方形,其最大宽度尺寸为15-50mm,任选地为15-30mm,并且最小宽度尺寸为15-50mm,任选地为15-30mm。
17.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述阵列中的每个元件具有基本上相同的横截面形状和尺寸。
18.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述聚合物泡沫是闭孔泡沫。
19.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述聚合物泡沫是聚氨酯泡沫。
20.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述聚合物泡沫的密度为20-150kg/m3,任选地为20-100kg/m3,进一步任选地为20-65kg/m3
21.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述聚合物泡沫的压缩弹性模量(E)为5-150MPa,任选地为5-100MPa,进一步任选地为5-35MPa,根据ISO 844 B测量。
22.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述聚合物泡沫的剪切模量(G)为3至60MPa,任选地为3至40MPa,进一步任选地为3至10MPa,根据ASTM C273测量。
23.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述聚合物泡沫的泊松比为0.25-0.5。
24.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述轻木具有80至230kg/m3,任选地100至210kg/m3,进一步任选地120至190kg/m3的密度,根据ISO 845 2006在木材已经调节24小时以达到基于木材的总重量计10-14wt%的水分含量后测量。
25.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述轻木的压缩弹性模量(E)为1000至6000MPa,根据ISO 844 B测量。
26.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述轻木的剪切模量(G)为80至250MPa,根据ASTM C273测量。
27.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述轻木和所述聚合物泡沫的密度之间的比率在1.5至12:1的范围内。
28.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述轻木和所述聚合物泡沫的弹性模量(E)之间的比率在6至1200:1的范围内。
29.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述轻木和所述聚合物泡沫的剪切模量(G)之间的比率在2至85:1的范围内。
30.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其中所述芯的密度为60至160kg/m3,任选地为60至120kg/m3,进一步任选地为60至100kg/m3
31.任一前述权利要求所述的芯,其呈块状物的形式,具有10至50mm的在所述元件的长度方向上延伸的高度。
32.权利要求31所述的芯,其中所述块状物的长度和宽度各自在500至3000mm的范围内。
33.权利要求31或权利要求32所述的芯,其中所述块状物具有提供250,000至1,500,000mm2的块状物横截面积的长度和宽度。
34.制造任一前述权利要求所述的用于复合材料夹层板的芯的方法,该方法包括以下步骤:
(a)在模具中提供由轻木组成的多个对齐的细长元件的阵列;和
(b)在所述模具内围绕所述阵列形成聚合物泡沫的基质以形成模制的芯,该基质填充相邻元件之间的空隙并将所述元件粘合在一起以形成整体。
35.复合材料夹层板,其包含权利要求1-33中任一项所述的芯或通过权利要求34所述的方法制造的芯,该芯夹在纤维增强基质树脂材料的对向外层之间。
36.权利要求35所述的复合材料夹层板,其中所述纤维增强基质树脂材料的外层包含玻璃纤维和碳纤维中的至少一种和固化的热固性树脂基质,该固化的热固性树脂粘合到所述芯的相对的主表面上。
37.结合有权利要求35或权利要求36的复合材料夹层板的结构元件。
38.结合有权利要求37所述的结构元件的风力涡轮机叶片或者船舶部件或船舶。
