本发明提供了一种像素补偿电路、显示装置和像素补偿电路的驱动方法,包括:积分模块、比较模块、计时模块和处理器;所述积分模块被配置为对所述像素电路的驱动电流进行积分后输出第一电压;所述比较模块被配置为接收所述第一电压,并将所述第一电压与第一参考电压进行比较后,输出第一逻辑控制信号;所述计时模块被配置为获取第一工作时长;所述处理器,被配置为获取所述第一工作时长,根据预先获得的工作时长与像素电流的对应关系,得到所述第一工作时长对应的像素电路的第一驱动电流,并根据所述驱动电流得到补偿参数。本发明实施例提供的像素补偿电路采用电流型外部补偿方式,避免了电压信号在走线过程中容易受到干扰的问题。

技术领域
本发明涉及显示装置技术领域,特别是涉及一种像素补偿电路、显示装置以及像素补偿电路的驱动方法。
背景技术
AMDOLED(有源矩阵发光二极管或主动矩阵有机发光二极管)是一种应用于显示装置中的显示技术。AMOLED由于具有超轻薄、高色域、高对比度、宽视角、快速响应等诸多优点,已被应用于高端电势和移动设备产品中。
AMOLED是主动式驱动,其中包含驱动管TFT,由于TFT工艺的偏差,各驱动管的阈值电压和电子迁移率等参数可能不完全一致,会造成较严重的显示非均匀性,同时Panel上的IR Drop(红外线压降)以及AMOLED驱动电压的非均匀性均会影响到显示均匀性。综上所示,在基于AMOLED的像素设计中,需要采用补偿技术去弥补工艺上的非理想特性。
从90年代首次提出AMOLED补偿概念至今,针对AMOLED的补偿技术不断推陈出新。传统的方法一般采用内部补偿,所谓内部补偿是指在像素内部利用TFT构建子电路,但是内部补偿的像素结构和驱动方式都较为复杂,且仅对TFT阈值电压非均匀性和IR有补偿效果,并不能解决残像等问题。同时,在大尺寸高分辨率的显示应用中,内部补偿的方式会造成开口率低、驱动速度慢的问题,而外部补偿具有驱动速度块和补偿效果好的优点,因此外部补偿被认为是较佳的补偿方式。
目前采用的外部补偿大都是电压型外部补偿,即通过某种方式将像素的OLED电压抽取出来,并转化为数字信号进行处理,从而实现补偿。但电压型外部补偿方式容易受到干扰,此外随着尺寸增大分辨率提高,面板的寄生电容越来越大,固定时间内的sense电压值变低,对后续其它处理器的精度要求越来越高。
发明内容
本发明提供一种像素补偿电路、显示装置以及像素补偿电路的驱动方法,以解决现有的电压型外部补偿方式容易收到干扰,此外随着尺寸增大分辨率提高,面板的寄生电容越来越大,固定时间内的sense电压值变低,而对ADC(模数转换器)精度要求越来越高的技术问题。
为了解决上述问题,本发明公开了一种像素补偿电路,包括:积分模块、比较模块、计时模块和处理器;
所述积分模块一端与待补偿的像素电路耦接,另一端与第一节点耦接,被配置为对所述像素电路的驱动电流进行积分后输出第一电压;
所述比较模块一端与所述第一节点连接,另一端与所述计时模块耦接,被配置为接收所述第一电压,并将所述第一电压与第一参考电压进行比较,在所述第一电压与第一参考电压满足第一关系的情况下,输出第一逻辑控制信号;
所述计时模块还分别与所述处理器及启动信号输入端耦接,被配置为在接收到启动信号时,开始计时,在接收到所述第一逻辑信号时,停止计时,得到第一工作时长;
所述处理器,被配置为获取所述第一工作时长,根据预先获得的工作时长与像素电流的对应关系,得到所述第一工作时长对应的像素电路的第一驱动电流,并根据所述驱动电流得到补偿参数。
可选地,所述积分模块包括运算放大器、第一电容、第一开关、第二开关和第三开关;
其中,所述运算放大器的反相输入端与第二节点耦接,正相输入端与第二参考电压输入端耦接,输出端通过第三开关与所述第一节点耦接;所述第二节点通过第一开关与所述像素电路耦接;
所述第一电容的第一端与所述第二节点耦接,第二端通过第二开关与所述第一节点耦接。

实施例一
参照图1,示出了本发明实施例一的像素补偿电路;
本发明实施例的像素补偿10包括:积分模块101、比较模块102、计时模块103和处理器104;
所述积分模块一端与待补偿的像素电路耦接,另一端与第一节点耦接,被配置为对所述像素电路的驱动电流进行积分后输出第一电压;
所述比较模块一端与所述第一节点连接,另一端与所述计时模块耦接,被配置为接收所述第一电压,并将所述第一电压与第一参考电压进行比较,在所述第一电压与第一参考电压满足第一关系的情况下,输出第一逻辑控制信号;
所述计时模块还分别与所述处理器及启动信号输入端耦接,被配置为在接收到启动信号时,开始计时,在接收到所述第一逻辑信号时,停止计时,得到第一工作时长;
所述处理器,被配置为获取所述第一工作时长,根据预先获得的工作时长与像素电流的对应关系,得到所述第一工作时长对应的像素电路的第一驱动电流,并根据所述驱动电流得到补偿参数。
本发明实施例中,参考图2,所述待补偿的像素电路为传统的2T1C像素电路,包括两个薄膜晶体管和一个电容,晶体管T1用于在行扫描开关S1的控制下传递图像数据Vdata或参考电压Vref,被称为开关管、晶体管T2用于控制OLED D1的工作状态,被称为驱动管,所述电容C1用于保持所述驱动管上的选通极电压,其中,所述开关管T1的栅极连接扫描开关S1,其源极连接数据线Data,其漏极连接驱动管的栅极;驱动管的源极连接电源电压ELVDD,漏极连接OLED的阳极;OLED的阴极接低电平ELVSS;电容器C1并联在驱动管的栅极和漏极之间。所述种像素电路的驱动电流也就是所述OLED D1的工作电流可以表示为IOLED=K(VGS+Vth)2,其中VGS为驱动管的源极和栅极之间的电压,Vth为驱动晶体管的阈值电压(Thresholdvoltage),K为系数。
参考图2,所述像素电路中D1的阳极一端具有连接点N2,所述N2为补偿电路的接入点,其中,所述驱动电路利用该接入点与像素电路相连接,本实施例所述的外部补偿电路采用电流型外部补偿方式,获取OLED的驱动电流,避免了电压信号在走线过程中容易收到干扰的问题。所述外部电路在补偿TFT特性漂移时,所述驱动电路通过感测像素的驱动电流,利用不同电流对电容充放电到一定电压时间不一样,获得表示所述时间的数字信号,将所述数字信号送至处理器,继而微调Vdata,从而实现TFT的补偿。
具体的,所述积分模块与所述像素电路耦接,对所述像素电路的驱动电流进行积分后,输出第一电压,所述第一电压随着时间的推移逐渐下降,当所述第一电压下降到小于所述比较模块中的第一参考电压时,所述比较模块输出第一逻辑控制信号,控制所述计时模块停止计时,所述计时模块在接收到启动信号时,开始计时,所述计时模块得到第一工作时长,所述第一工作时长为数字信号或者时钟信号。所述处理器在接收到所述第一工作时长后,根据预先获得的工作时长与像素电流的对应关系,得到所述第一工作时长对应的像素电路的第一驱动电流。具体的,所述工作时长与像素电流的对应关系可以为:在所述驱动电路的电源电压为12V时,在所述工作时长为13.14μs时,对应的像素驱动电流为100nA;在所述工作时长为3.39μs时,对应的像素电流为1μA;在所述工作时长为1.9μs时,对应的像素电流为3μA。在所述驱动电路的电源电压为16V时,在所述工作时长为12.19μs时,对应的像素电流为100nA;在所述工作时长为3.39μs时,对应的像素驱动电流为1μA;在所述工作时长为1.92μs时,对应的像素驱动电流为3μA。在所述驱动电路的电源电压为18V时,在所述工作时长为12.78μs时,对应的像素驱动电流为100nA;在所述工作时长为3.38μs时,对应的像素电流时1μA;在所述工作时长为1.92μs时,对应的像素驱动电流为3μA。以上,可以看出,工作时长与所述驱动电流成反比关系,也就是说,所述像素电路的驱动电流在积分模块充放电到一定电压所获得的第一工作时长越短,所对应的像素电路的第一驱动电流就越大。所述处理器对所述第一驱动电流得到所述像素电路的补偿参数,具体的,所述补偿参数为TFT补偿参数。
在一个具体的实施例中,参考图3,所述积分模块包括运算放大器、第一电容、第一开关、第二开关和第三开关;
其中,所述运算放大器的反相输入端与第二节点N3耦接,正相输入端与第二参考电压输入端(Vref2)耦接,输出端通过第三开关与所述第一节点耦接;所述第二节点通过第一开关与所述像素电路耦接;
所述第一电容的第一端与所述第二节点耦接,第二端通过第二开关与所述第一节点耦接。
所述比较模块包括比较器,所述比较器的负相输入端与所述第一节点耦接,正相输入端与第一参考电压输入端耦接,输出端连接计时模块。
所述计时模块包括计时器,所述计时器第一端连接比较模块,第二端与启动信号输入端耦接,第三端与处理器耦接。
所述处理器的第一端通过第六开关与第一节点耦接,通过第六开关和第七开关与第二节点耦接,第二端与计时器耦接,第三端为输出端。
本发明实施例中,在所述补偿电路对所述像素电路进行TFT补偿前,闭合第一开关SW1、第二开关SW2、第三开关SW3和第七开关SW7,向所述运算放大器的EN端输入高电平,运放工作,运放负端接第二参考电压源,所述第二参考电压源的第二参考电压为Vref2(低于Voled+ELVSS,保证OLED不发光),由于负反馈,运放输出电压为Vref2。
参考图4,示出了所述补偿电路对所述像素电路进行TFT补偿时的原理图,此时,T1通过S1打开,传递一个Vref值使T2开启,之同时,SW7断开,start给定一个脉冲信号,计时器开始计时。由于第一电容C3的存在,电流对电容C3充电,使第一节点N5的输出电压由Vref2开始下降,电流越大,节点N5电压下降的越快,当电压下降到Vref1(低于Vref2)时,比较器翻转,计时器停止工作,记录N5电压从Vref2到Vref1需要的时间,送到处理器进行处理,进而算出像素电流大小,并进一步根据公式IOLED=K(VGS+Vth)2算出TFT的特性漂移(k值和Vth),通过微调Vdata,在下一帧发光时电流达到预期值,从而实现TFT的补偿。
可选地,所述积分模块还包括参考电流源、第四开关和第五开关;
所述参考电流源通过所述第四开关与所述第二节点耦接,所述第一电容的第二端还通过所述第五开关接地;
所述处理器通过第六开关和第七开关与所述第二节点耦接。
所述处理器还被配置为,获取所述第一电容的参数,并利用所述第一电容的参数与标准电容参数计算第一电容的误差参数,在获得所述补偿参数后,根据所述误差参数调整所述补偿参数。
本发明实施例中,对于像素电路中每一个点都进行补偿是需要一定的时间的,例如4K的分辨率,每一行上2160个点,在有限的blanking time内,逐一对这些点进行补偿往往时间上不允许,因此需要并行处理,比如需要多个积分电容器,或者多个芯片同时工作,这就涉及到精度的问题,尤其是电容的精度问题,由于工艺特点,集成电路制造过程中的无源器件(电阻、电容)波动较大,而电容的精度在积分器中直接影响电流充电时间的快慢,所以有必要在开机前进行校准操作。
校准期间(参考图5),第四开关、第五开关、第六开关和第七开关闭合,其余开关断开,运算放大器、比较器、计时器不工作,参考电流源对所用第一电容C3以相同的电流充电,待第二节点N3电压稳定后,记录第二节点N3点的电压并送到处理器,处理器记录并算出各电容与标准电容的误差系数,并在计算K值和Vth时予以考量。
在一个具体的实施例中,所述第一节点与所述第二节点之间通过第七开关耦接。
所述比较模块,还被配置为在所述像素电路进入工作状态时,比较像素电路中施加在发光元件上的驱动电压与第三参考电压,在比较结果满足第二关系时,输出第二逻辑控制信号,在比较关系满足第三关系时,输出第三逻辑控制信号;
所述计时模块,还被配置为在接收到第二逻辑控制信号后,开始计时;在接收到所述第三逻辑信号后,结束计时,获得第二工作时长;
所述处理器,还被配置为在多个连续的所述第二工作时长的累加时长达到预设时长的情况下,在所述像素电路下次进入工作状态时,对所述像素电路进行老化补偿;并对所述累加时长进行清零。
本发明实施例中,对于OLED老化,目前一些做法是测量OLED阳极电压,并由此估算OLED发光效率,事先在查找表记录不同电压时OLED发光效率,例如效率相比初始值降低10%,则需要将电流提高10%,由此实现OLED老化补偿,此举在一定程度能改善残像问题,提高均匀性问题,但是存在一些问题,比如OLED阳极电压与发光效率关系没有特别明确牢固的关系,只能大致拟合趋势。其次,查找表获取不便,需要多次感测OLED的阳极电压,同记录测光仪记录对应的发光效率。只有记录的电压越密集,拟合的曲线才更接近真实值。而且不同批次的OLED的电压与效率变化的曲线也不一致,没有复用性。
相较于OLED阳极电压,OLED发光时间与其发光效率关系更为密切(参考图6)。大量的研究表明,在同一电流下,OLED亮度随时间衰减,且体现了指数规律,
其中t为发光时间,L(t)为在时间t时的亮度值,L(0)为L(t)的初始亮度值,a为常数,n为参考因子。在a和n为为定值的情况下,发光时间决定了OLED的亮度,因此精确的感知OLED发光时间是一种较实用的评估OLED发光亮度的方式。
本实施例通过检测OLED阳极电压判断OLED是否发光,从而触发发光计时。具体为:参考图7,运放通过EN关闭(EN是英语enable的简写表示使能,就是使每个模块或电路能够工作),第一开关SW1,第七开关SW7闭合,其余开关断开,比较器正端接参考电压Vref3(此电压略低与OLED发光所需的电压),一旦N5点电压高于Vref3,则判定进入发光状态,计时器计时,直至OLED阳极电压低于Vref3,停止计时,得到第二工作时长,并送到处理器。处理器存储之前的多个第二工作时长,并将所述多个第二工作时长进行累加,得到累加时长,累加时长达到预设时长的情况下,在所述像素电路下次进入工作状态时,对所述像素电路进行老化补偿;并对所述累加时长进行清零。由于OLED老化是一个较漫长的过程,因此一般无需实时补偿,可以定义每个固定时间进行补偿,例如:每隔10天补偿一次,及累计计时达到10天的整数倍时,则在下开机时进行一次OLED老化补偿。
实施例二
本发明实施例二公开了一种显示装置,其特征在于,包括所述的像素补偿电路。所述像素电路包括:积分模块、比较模块、计时模块和处理器;
所述积分模块一端与待补偿的像素电路耦接,另一端与第一节点耦接,被配置为对所述像素电路的驱动电流进行积分后输出第一电压;
所述比较模块一端与所述第一节点连接,另一端与所述计时模块耦接,被配置为接收所述第一电压,并将所述第一电压与第一参考电压进行比较,在所述第一电压与第一参考电压满足第一关系的情况下,输出第一逻辑控制信号;
所述计时模块还分别与所述处理器及启动信号输入端耦接,被配置为在接收到启动信号时,开始计时,在接收到所述第一逻辑信号时停止计时,得到第一工作时长;
所述处理器,被配置为获取所述第一工作时长,根据预先获得的工作时长与像素电流的对应关系,得到所述第一工作时长对应的像素电路的第一像素电流,并根据所述像素电流得到补偿参数,根据所述补偿参数对所述像素电路进行参数补偿。

实施例三
参考图8,本发明实施例三公开了一种像素补偿电路的驱动方法,所述驱动方法包括:
步骤801,在待补偿的像素电路工作异常时,获得所述像素电路的驱动电流;
步骤802,根据所述像素电路的驱动电流,获得所述像素电路的补偿参数,其中,获得所述补偿参数包括:根据启动信号开始计时;对像素电路电流进行积分获得第一电压并将所述第一电压与第一参考电压进行比较,在所述第一电压与第一参考电压满足第一关系的情况下,输出第一逻辑控制信号;在获得所述第一逻辑信号时停止计时,得到第一工作时长;根据预先获得的工作时长与像素电流的对应关系,得到所述第一工作时长对应的像素电路的第一像素电流,并根据所述像素电流得到补偿参数。
本发明实施例中,测量所述像素电路中OLED的阳极电压,当所述阳极电压小于预设电压时,对所述像素电路进行TFT补偿,具体为:根据启动信号开始计时;具体的,所述启动信号在获取到所述阳极电压小于预设电压时输出,对像素电路的驱动电流进行积分获得第一电压并将所述第一电压与第一参考电压进行比较,在所述第一电压与第一参考电压满足第一关系的情况下,输出第一逻辑控制信号;在获得所述第一逻辑信号时停止计时,得到第一工作时长;根据预先获得的工作时长与像素电流的对应关系,得到所述第一工作时长对应的像素电路的第一像素电流,并根据所述像素电流得到补偿参数。
在一个具体的实施例中,参考图9,所述获取所述像素电路的补偿参数包括:
步骤8011,闭合第一开关、第二开关和第三开关,向所述计时器输入启动信号,向所述运算放大器的正相输入端输入第二参考电压,向所述比较器的正相输入端输入第一参考电压。
本发明实施例中,向所述运算放大器的EN端输入高电平,运放工作,运放负端接第二参考电压源,所述第二参考电压源的第二参考电压为Vref2(低于Voled+ELVSS,保证OLED不发光),由于负反馈,运放输出电压为Vref2。此时,T1通过S1打开,传递一个Vref值使T2开启,之同时,start给定一个脉冲信号,计时器开始计时。由于第一电容C3的存在,电流对电容C3充电,使第一节点N5的输出电压由Vref2开始下降,电流越大,节点N5电压下降的越快,当电压下降到Vref1(低于Vref2)时,比较器翻转,计时器停止工作,记录N5电压从Vref2到Vref1需要的时间,送到处理器进行处理,进而算出像素电流大小,并进一步根据公式IOLED=K(VGS+Vth)2算出TFT的特性漂移(k值和Vth),通过微调Vdata,在下一帧发光时电流达到预期值,从而实现TFT的补偿。
在一个具体的实施例中,参考图10,获取所述像素电路的补偿参数之前,还包括:步骤9011,闭合第四开关、第五开关、第六开关和第七开关;
步骤9012,所述参考电流源输出恒定电流,向所述第一电容充电;
步骤9013,所述处理器获取所述第二节点的电压,所述处理器根据所述第二节点的电压计算第一电容的参数,并根据所述第一电容的参数与标准电容参数计算第一电容的误差参数;
步骤9014,在得到补偿参数后,根据所述误差参数,对所述像素电路的补偿参数进行调整。
在本发明实施例中,校准期间,第四开关、第五开关、第六开关和第七开关闭合,其余开关断开,运算放大器、比较器、计时器不工作,参考电流源对所用第一电容以相同的电流充电,待第二节点N3电压稳定后,记录第二节点N3点的电压并送到处理器,处理器记录并算出各电容与标准电容的误差系数,并在计算K值和Vth时予以考量。
在一个具体的实施例中,参考图11,所述方法还包括:
步骤804.在所述像素电路正常工作状态下,闭合第一开关,第七开关,向所述比较器的正相输入端输入第三参考电压;
步骤805,所述比较器将所述像素电路中的驱动电压与所述第三参考电压进行比较,当所述驱动电压与第三参考电压满足第二关系时,输出第二逻辑控制信号至计时器;当所述驱动电压与第三参考电压满足第三关系时,输出第三逻辑控制信号至计时器;

在本发明实施例中,本实施例通过检测OLED阳极电压判断OLED是否发光,从而触发发光计时。具体为:运放通过EN关闭(EN是英语enable的简写表示使能,就是使每个模块或电路能够工作),第一开关SW1,第七开关SW7闭合,其余开关断开,比较器正端接参考电压Vref3(此电压略低与OLED发光所需的电压),一旦N5点电压高于Vref3,则判定进入发光状态,计时器计时,直至OLED阳极电压低于Vref3,停止计时,得到第二工作时长,并送到处理器。处理器存储之前的多个第二工作时长,并将所述多个第二工作时长进行累加,得到累加时长,累加时长达到预设时长的情况下,在所述像素电路下次进入工作状态时,对所述像素电路进行老化补偿;并对所述累加时长进行清零。由于OLED老化是一个较漫长的过程,因此一般无需实时补偿,可以定义每个固定时间进行补偿,例如:每隔10天补偿一次,及累计计时达到10天的整数倍时,则在下开机时进行一次OLED老化补偿。

所述积分模块一端与待补偿的像素电路耦接,另一端与第一节点耦接,被配置为对所述像素电路的驱动电流进行积分后输出第一电压;
所述比较模块一端与所述第一节点连接,另一端与所述计时模块耦接,被配置为接收所述第一电压,并将所述第一电压与第一参考电压进行比较,在所述第一电压与第一参考电压满足第一关系的情况下,输出第一逻辑控制信号;
所述计时模块还分别与所述处理器及启动信号输入端耦接,被配置为在接收到启动信号时,开始计时,在接收到所述第一逻辑信号时,停止计时,得到第一工作时长;

根据所述像素电路驱动电流,获得所述像素电路的补偿参数,其中,获得所述像素电路的补偿参数包括:根据启动信号开始计时,对像素电路电流进行积分获得第一电压并将所述第一电压与第一参考电压进行比较,在所述第一电压与第一参考电压满足第一关系的情况下,输出第一逻辑控制信号;在获得所述第一逻辑信号时停止计时,得到第一工作时长;根据预先获得的工作时长与像素电流的对应关系,得到所述第一工作时长对应的像素电路的第一像素电流,并根据所述像素电流得到补偿参数;
所述获取所述像素电路的补偿参数包括:
闭合第一开关、第二开关和第三开关,向所述计时器输入启动信号,向所述运算放大器的正相输入端输入第二参考电压,向所述比较器的正相输入端输入第一参考电压;
在所述获取所述像素电路的补偿参数之前,还包括:闭合第四开关、第五开关、第六开关和第七开关,以及断开第二开关和第三开关;
所述参考电流源输出恒定电流,向所述第一电容充电;
所述处理器获取所述第二节点的电压,所述处理器根据所述第二节点的电压计算第一电容的参数,并根据所述第一电容的参数与标准电容参数计算第一电容的误差参数;
在得到补偿参数后,根据所述误差参数,对所述像素电路的补偿参数进行调整;
所述方法还包括:
在所述像素电路正常工作状态下,闭合第一开关,第七开关,向所述比较器的正相输入端输入第三参考电压;所述第三参考电压低于所述发光元件的额定电压;
所述比较器将所述像素电路中的驱动电压与所述第三参考电压进行比较,当所述驱动电压与第三参考电压满足第二关系时,输出第二逻辑控制信号至计时器;当所述驱动电压与第三参考电压满足第三关系时,输出第三逻辑控制信号至计时器;
所述计时器在接收到第二逻辑控制信号后,开始计时;在接收到所述第三逻辑信号后,结束计时,获得第二工作时长;
所述处理器将多次连续接收到的所述第二工作时长累加获得累加时长在所述累加时长达到预设时长的情况下,所述处理器在所述像素电路下次进入工作状态时,对所述像素电路进行老化补偿;并对所述累加时长进行清零。
