Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a support element for flat objects, in particular large-size flat plates, for example made of ceramic material or other materials used in construction, the size of which reaches or exceeds 3000 x 1600 mm.
Background
For transport and storage, the slabs, which are usually packed in a slab set, are positioned horizontally on a support table or crate, wherein a certain number of slab sets are stacked on top of each other or inclined on a wooden rack.
This solution has various drawbacks. Firstly, the number of flat plate groups that can be placed on each support table is limited due to the considerable weight of each flat plate; stacking of a large number of plates is not allowed, since the plates at the bottom of each set of plates run the risk of breakage or damage. Furthermore, the support table has a large planar size, at least equal to the size of the flat plate placed thereon, and is therefore difficult to move. The large size of the support tables and crates and the limited number of slabs that can be placed on each support table makes it impossible to fully utilize the storage space and the transport space, which limits the number of slabs that can be stored or transported per square meter of surface available for storage or transport. Furthermore, the large size of crates and shelves, when empty, also results in high transportation costs for the end user.
The object of the present invention is to provide a support element for flat objects which eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks and which enables an optimized utilization of the space available for storing or transporting flat objects, maximizing the number of objects that can be stored or transported per square metre of surface available for storage or transport.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the invention is achieved by a support element in the following solution: a support element for a plate-shaped object, the support element comprising: a base on which the flat plate-shaped object can be arranged; and a rest element for the flat plate-shaped object, the rest element being arrangeable substantially perpendicular to the base and being detachably coupled to the base; wherein the base comprises a plurality of longitudinal members defining a rest base for the base; wherein the plurality of longitudinal members comprises a first side longitudinal member, a second side longitudinal member, and a central longitudinal member; wherein the plurality of longitudinal members are interconnected by a plurality of cross members, the plurality of cross members including a pair of central cross members and a pair of side cross members; wherein the plurality of cross members are interconnected by a plurality of additional longitudinal members; wherein the plurality of additional longitudinal members comprises a first pair of additional side longitudinal members and a second pair of additional side longitudinal members; wherein the rest element comprises at least two uprights interconnected by at least one further cross-member; wherein the at least one additional cross member comprises an additional upper cross member, at least one additional middle cross member, and at least one additional lower cross member; a lower portion of the first upright and a lower portion of the second upright extend beyond the at least one further lower cross member and are shaped and dimensioned to be insertable into a first space defined between the central cross member and the first pair of further side longitudinal members and a second space defined between the central cross member and the second pair of further side longitudinal members, respectively; the lower portion of the first upright and the lower portion of the second upright are provided with respective appendages shaped and dimensioned to be insertable into respective grooves of a side longitudinal member.
With the support element of the invention, it is possible to maximize the number of plate-shaped elements that can be arranged on the support element without any risk of the objects themselves being damaged by their weight. The number of plate-shaped elements that can be arranged on the support element according to the invention depends only on the size of the support element and the thickness of the plate-shaped elements.
In fact, with the structure of the support element of the invention, it is possible to arrange the plate-shaped objects or groups of plate-shaped objects vertically on the support element, i.e. resting on the support element by its sides, i.e. flanking its edges. This involves that each plate-shaped object is subjected only to its own weight and does not have to support the weight of the other plate-shaped objects, so that the cumulative weight of the plate-shaped objects no longer constitutes a limitation on the number of plate-shaped objects that can be arranged on the support element according to the invention.

The rest element 7 comprises at least one further cross-member 12; 13; 13 a; 13 b; 14; 14 a; 14b at least two uprights 8, 8a connected to each other; 18; the at least one further cross member comprises a further upper cross member 12, at least one further intermediate cross member 13; 13 a; 13b and at least one further lower cross member 14; 14a, 14 b. The lower portion 22 of the first upright 8 and the lower portion 22a of the second upright 8a extend beyond the at least one further lower cross member 14; 14a, 14b and is shaped and dimensioned to be insertable in a first space 16 defined between the central cross member 5 and the first pair of further side longitudinal members 11 and in a second space 17 defined between the central cross member 5 and the second pair of further side longitudinal members 11a, respectively. The lower part 22 of the first upright 8 and the lower part 22a of the second upright 8a are provided with respective appendages 23, 23 a; the appendages 23, 23a are shaped and dimensioned to be insertable in the respective grooves 20, 20a of the side longitudinal members 3, 3 a.
Another embodiment is described below. The pair of side cross members 6 comprises a first cross member 6a and a second cross member 6b, while the pair of central cross members 5 comprises a third cross member 5a and a fourth cross member 5b, the third cross member 5a and the fourth cross member 5b being opposite to each other and arranged between the first cross member 6a and the second cross member 6 b; the pair of side cross members 6 and the pair of center cross members 5 are arranged on the first side longitudinal member 3, the second side longitudinal member 3a, and the center longitudinal member 4; the first pair of further side longitudinal members 11 comprises a first further side longitudinal member 111 and a second further side longitudinal member 112, while the second pair of further side longitudinal members 11a comprises a third further side longitudinal member 111a and a fourth further side longitudinal member 112 a; both the first 111 and the third 111a further side longitudinal members are arranged above the first cross member 6a and above the third cross member 5 a; both the second further side longitudinal member 112 and the fourth further side longitudinal member 112a are arranged above the second cross member 6b and above the fourth cross member 5 b; the first 111 and the second 112 further side longitudinal members are aligned with each other, superimposed on the first side longitudinal member 3 and spaced from each other by a distance D existing between the third 5a and fourth 5b transverse members; the third 111a and fourth 112a further side longitudinal members are aligned with each other, superimposed on the second side longitudinal member 3a and spaced from each other by a distance D existing between the third 5a and fourth 5b transverse members.
Once the resting element 7 is released onto the base 2, any movement in the horizontal plane is prevented by a simple vertical movement of the first upright 8 and the first upright 8, which advantageously determines a detachable coupling between the resting element 7 and the base 2, without the need to use other fastening means, for the following reasons.
The third cross member 5a and the first further side longitudinal member 3 on the one hand and the fourth cross member 5b and the second further side longitudinal member 3a on the other hand prevent movement of the first upright 8 with respect to the first horizontal direction Y, while the groove 20 formed in the first side longitudinal member 3 prevents movement of the first upright 8 with respect to the second horizontal direction X perpendicular to the first horizontal direction Y.
The third cross member 5a and the third further side longitudinal member 111a on the one hand and the fourth cross member 5b and the fourth further side longitudinal member 112a on the other hand prevent movement of the second upright 8a relative to the first horizontal direction Y, while the groove 20a formed in the second side longitudinal member 3a prevents movement of the second upright 8a relative to the second horizontal direction X.
The rest element 7 is then engaged in the base 2, achieving a removable coupling, which prevents any movement of the rest element 7 in the horizontal plane. Only the resting element 7 is allowed to be lifted to detach the resting element 7 from the base 2.
The detachable coupling of the resting element 7 to the base 2 is particularly stable and robust, since the contact surface between the resting element 7 and the base 2 is maximized, which minimizes the force per unit surface transmitted from the resting element 7 to the base 2: in fact, the resting element 7 is inserted along the entire thickness of the base 2, through the appendages 23, 23a and the lower portions 22, 22a of the uprights 8, 8a, thus contacting all the components constituting the layers in the height of the base 2, namely the lateral longitudinal members 3, 3a, the cross members 5, 6 and the further lateral longitudinal members 11, 11 a.
Another embodiment is described below. The third cross member 5a includes a first side surface 50, the fourth cross member 5b includes a second side surface 51, and the third cross member 5a and the fourth cross member 5b are arranged such that the first side surface 50 and the second side surface 51 face each other. The first further side longitudinal member 111 comprises a first end surface 52, the second further side longitudinal member 112 comprises a second end surface 53; the first 111 and the second 112 further side longitudinal members are arranged such that the first 52 and the second 53 end surfaces face each other. The first further side longitudinal member 111 and the third cross member 5a are arranged such that the first end surface 52 and the first side surface 50 are aligned so as to abut the first side 22b of the lower portion 22 of the first upright 8; the second further side longitudinal member 112 and the fourth cross member 5b are arranged such that the second end surface 53 and the second side surface 51 are aligned so as to abut a second side 22c of the lower portion 22 of the first upright 8, wherein the second side 22c is opposite to the first side 22b of the lower portion 22 of the first upright 8.
Another embodiment is described below. The third further side longitudinal member 111a comprises a third end surface 54, the fourth further side longitudinal member 112a comprises a fourth end surface 55; the third 111a and fourth 112a further side longitudinal members are arranged such that the third 54 and fourth 55 end surfaces face each other. Third additional side longitudinal member 111a and third transverse member 5a are arranged such that third end surface 54 and first side surface 50 are aligned so as to abut first side 22d of lower portion 22a of second upright 8 a. Fourth further side longitudinal member 112a and fourth transverse member 5b are arranged such that fourth end surface 55 and second side surface 51 are aligned so as to abut second side 22e of lower portion 22a of second upright 8a, wherein second side 22e is opposite to first side 22d of lower portion 22a of second upright 8 a.
