However, the technical solution claimed in the present application can be implemented without these technical details and various changes and modifications based on the following embodiments.
Fig. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view illustrating a stretchable display structure according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 2, the present embodiment provides a stretchable display structure including: a substrate 100; a plurality of rotatable members 101 on the substrate 100, wherein the rotatable members 101 rotate relative to the surface of the substrate 100 during convex stretching or concave stretching of the substrate 100; a plurality of pixel modules 102, and each pixel module 102 is fixed on a rotatable member 101; the conductive wiring 103 of the adjacent pixel module 102 is electrically connected.
The stretchable display structure provided in the present embodiment will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The material of the substrate 100 is a material having elasticity and ductility. The material of the substrate 100 includes Polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), Polystyrene (PS), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyethylene naphthalate (PEN), or Polyimide (PI). The substrate 101 may also be an ultra-thin glass substrate, the thickness of which is less than or equal to 50 μm.
The pixel modules 102 are used to display luminescence as islands in a stretchable display structure; the conductive wiring 103 is used to electrically connect adjacent pixel modules 102 as a bridge in the stretchable display structure. In this embodiment, the plurality of pixel modules 102 are distributed on the substrate 100 in an array, and the plurality of pixel modules 102 include a plurality of rows of pixel modules 102 arranged along an X (not shown) direction and a plurality of columns of pixel modules 102 arranged along a Y (not shown) direction, where the X direction is perpendicular to the Y direction.
Correspondingly, the plurality of rotatable members 101 are also arranged in an array on the substrate 100, and the rotatable members 101 include a plurality of rows of rotatable members 101 arranged in the X direction and a plurality of rows of rotatable members 101 arranged in the Y direction.
It should be noted that, in this embodiment, for convenience of illustration and description, only two pixel modules 102 are shown in fig. 2.
In the process of stretching the substrate 100 in a convex or concave manner, the rotatable component 101 rotates relative to the surface of the substrate 100, so as to drive the pixel module 102 fixed on the rotatable component 101 to rotate relative to the substrate 100, thereby implementing the concave-convex stretching display of the stretchable display structure, that is, enabling the stretchable display structure to implement the spherical stretching purpose.
The surface of the substrate 100 facing the pixel module 102 is the front surface of the substrate 100, and the concave surface stretching refers to a stretching process in which the front surface of the substrate 100 is changed into a concave surface; the convex stretching refers to a stretching process in which the front surface of the substrate 100 becomes convex.
Specifically, during the convex stretching process of the substrate 100, the rotatable member 101 is rotated and turned outwards towards two sides, so as to drive the pixel module 102 to be turned outwards towards two sides correspondingly, thereby realizing the convex display of the stretchable display structure. In addition, as the conductive wiring 103 is arranged between the adjacent pixel modules 102, the conductive wiring 103 can limit the rotation angle of the pixel modules 102 to a certain extent, so that the problem that the outward flip angle of the pixel modules 102 is too large is solved, and the pixel modules 102 are prevented from being turned outwards too much; also, the conductive wiring 103 can reduce the rotation rate of the pixel module 102, so that the inversion rate of the pixel module 102 is moderate during convex stretching. From this, this embodiment is favorable to reducing the tensile in-process display distortion of convex surface, promotes the tensile in-process display visual effect of convex surface.
When the substrate 100 is concavely stretched, the rotatable component 101 rotates and turns inwards, so as to drive the pixel module 101 to correspondingly turn inwards along with the rotatable component 101, thereby realizing the concave display of the stretchable display structure. In addition, as the conductive wiring 103 is arranged between the adjacent pixel modules 102, the conductive wiring 103 can limit the rotation angle of the pixel modules 102 to a certain extent, so that the problem that the inward flip angle of the pixel modules 102 is too large is solved, and the pixel modules 102 are prevented from being gathered too much; also, the conductive wiring 103 can reduce the rotation rate of the pixel module 102, so that the inversion rate of the pixel module 102 is moderate during concave stretching. Therefore, the display distortion in the concave surface stretching process is reduced, and the display visual effect in the concave surface stretching process is improved.
The conductive wiring 103 has a curved shape in a direction parallel to the surface of the substrate 100. The benefits of such an arrangement include: since the conductive wirings 103 are bent, the conductive wirings 103 have a stretchable margin, and thus when the substrate 100 is stretched convexly, the lines of the S-shaped conductive wirings 103 are stretched, thereby effectively avoiding the problem that the conductive wirings 103 are broken in the stretching process, and being beneficial to increasing the distance between the adjacent pixel modules 102 in the stretched state. Note that, for convenience of illustration and explanation, the conductive wirings 103 are illustrated in a straight line shape in fig. 2.
In this embodiment, the conductive wiring 103 has an S-shaped strip shape in a direction parallel to the surface of the substrate 100.
The rotatable member 101 includes a spherical rotating portion 221, the spherical rotating portion 221 is rotatable with respect to the surface of the substrate 100, and the pixel module 102 is fixed on the spherical rotating portion 221. The spherical rotating portion 221 is beneficial to driving the pixel module 102 to turn over in a smooth transition manner when rotating relative to the surface of the substrate 100, so that distortion of a display image is avoided, and user experience is improved.
In this embodiment, the spherical rotating portion 221 is a solid ball, and the stability of the spherical rotating portion 221 of the solid ball is high, which is beneficial to improving the stability of the spherical rotating portion 221 and preventing the deformation problem of the spherical rotating portion 221 caused by the impact after the convex surface stretching or the concave surface stretching for many times. In other embodiments, the spherical rotating portion may also be a hollow sphere.
In this embodiment, a contact point is formed between the pixel module 102 and the spherical rotation portion 221, and a top surface of the pixel module 102 is perpendicular to a radius of the spherical rotation portion 221 passing through the contact point. This has the advantage that the top surface of the pixel module 102 is always perpendicular to the radius of the spherical rotation part 221 passing through the contact point during the convex stretching or concave stretching process, which is beneficial to improve the visual and sensory experience of the user.
The rotatable member 101 is a cardan shaft member; the universal shaft member includes: a fixing base 222 fixed on the surface of the substrate 100, wherein the spherical rotating part 221 is disposed in the fixing base 222. In the universal shaft assembly, the spherical rotating portion 221 can rotate within the fixing base 222 along any angle, so that the pixel module 102 fixed on the spherical rotating portion 222 can rotate along any angle, thereby realizing the concave stretching or convex stretching of the stretchable display structure.
In the convex stretching or concave stretching process of the substrate 100, the rotation angle of the spherical rotating part 221 is greater than the stretching angle of the substrate 100, so that the stretching direction and the stretching size of the pixel module 102 are no longer limited by the stretching direction and the stretching size of the substrate 100, which is beneficial to increasing the maximum stretching amount of the pixel module 102 and increasing the stretching direction of the pixel module 102.
In this embodiment, the shape of the fixing base 222 is an arc, and the shape of the fixing base 222 matches the shape of the spherical rotating portion 221, so as to ensure that the spherical rotating portion 221 can rotate in the fixing base 222, and reduce the resistance from the fixing base 222 to the spherical rotating portion 221 in the rotating process. In other embodiments, the shape of the fixing base may be other shapes, so as to protect the spherical rotating part from rotating relative to the fixing base during the convex stretching or the concave stretching.
In order to prevent the spherical rotation part 221 from falling off from the fixing base 222 during the stretching process, in the present embodiment, the opening area of the fixing base 222 having the arc shape is smaller than the large circular area of the spherical rotation part 221. The great circle means a circle obtained by intersecting a plane passing through the center of the spherical surface of the spherical rotating portion 221 with the spherical surface of the spherical rotating portion 221, and the center of the great circle coincides with the center of the spherical surface of the spherical rotating portion 221.
In this embodiment, the radius of the spherical rotating part 221 is equal to the inner diameter of the fixing base 222. In other embodiments, in order to reduce the resistance of the fixing base to the spherical rotating portion, the radius of the spherical rotating portion may be smaller than the inner diameter of the fixing base.
The ratio of the surface area of the top of the pixel module 102 to the area of the large circle of the spherical rotating part 221 should not be too large or too small. For a stretchable display structure having an equal number and an equal size of spherical rotation sections 221, if the ratio is too small, the pixel density in the stretchable display structure is too small; if the ratio is too large, the area of the corresponding single pixel module 102 is large, and the rotatable range of the pixel module 102 is easily limited. For this reason, in the present embodiment, the ratio between the area of the top surface of the pixel module 102 and the area of the large circle of the spherical rotation portion 221 is greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to 1.5, and within this ratio range, the pixel module 102 is ensured to have a larger rotatable range while ensuring that the stretchable display structure has a larger pixel density.
In the universal shaft component, the shape and the structure of the spherical rotating part 221 are simple, and the rotating direction of the spherical rotating part 221 can timely follow the stretching degree of the response substrate 100 in the stretching process, so that the matching degree between the rotating angle of the pixel module 102 and the stretching degree of the substrate 100 is improved. In this embodiment, the fixing base 222 is partially embedded in the substrate 100, and when the substrate 100 is stretched by a certain angle, it is beneficial to maximize the rotation angle of the spherical rotating portion 221 located in the fixing base 222 under the influence of the substrate 100, that is, to maximize the change value of the stretching angle of the pixel module 102 under the influence of the substrate 100, so that even if the substrate 100 is stretched by a small angle, the stretching angle of the pixel module 102 is relatively large, thereby further reducing the influence of the limitation of the stretching angle and direction of the pixel module 102 on the stretching angle and direction of the substrate 100.
Moreover, compared with the case that the conductive wires 103 between the adjacent pixel modules 102 have a fixed length, the scheme that the fixing base 222 is partially embedded into the substrate 100 is beneficial to maximizing the variation of the stretching angle of the pixel modules 102 capable of convex stretching or concave stretching, so that the stretching angle of spherical stretching is maximized without increasing the length of the conductive wires 103, the RC delay effect is reduced, and the display uniformity of the stretchable display structure is improved.
It should be noted that, in other embodiments, the fixing base can also be disposed on the surface of the substrate.
Fig. 3 is a schematic structural view of the stretchable display structure in fig. 2 implementing convex stretching, and fig. 4 is a schematic structural view of the stretchable display structure in fig. 2 implementing concave stretching.
Referring to fig. 3, during the convex stretching process of the substrate 100, the front surface of the substrate 100 becomes convex, the spherical rotation part 221 in the rotatable part 101 rotates along the direction AA1, so as to drive the adjacent pixel modules 102 to turn outwards, and the lines of the conductive wirings 103 are stretched, thereby realizing the convex stretching of the stretchable display structure. In addition, in the process that the pixel module 102 is turned outwards towards two sides, the conductive wiring 103 has a certain tensile force effect on the pixel module 102, so that the turning-outwards angle of the pixel module 102 can be prevented from being too large, the turning-outwards rate of the pixel module 102 towards two sides can be reduced, the display distortion is reduced, and the visual and sensory experience in the convex stretching process can be improved.
In addition, in the process that the pixel module 102 is turned outwards, the pixel module 102 is always located on the tangential plane of the spherical rotating part 221, which is beneficial to further improving the visual and sensory experience.
Referring to fig. 4, during the concave stretching process of the substrate 100, the front surface of the substrate 100 becomes concave, the spherical rotation part 221 in the rotatable component 101 rotates along the direction BB1, so as to drive the adjacent pixel modules 102 to turn inwards, and the lines of the conductive wiring 103 are compressed, thereby realizing the concave stretching of the stretchable display structure. In addition, in the process of turning the pixel module 102 to the inside, the conductive wiring 103 has a certain thrust effect on the pixel module 102, so that the pixel module 102 can be prevented from being turned to the inside by an excessively large angle, the rate of turning the pixel module 102 to the inside can be reduced, and the display distortion can be reduced, so that the visual and sensory experience can be improved in the concave stretching process.
In addition, in the process of turning the pixel module 102 inward, the pixel module 102 is always located on the tangent plane of the spherical rotating portion 221, which is beneficial to further improving the visual and sensory experience.
The pixel module 102 includes at least one light emitting pixel unit and at least one pixel driving circuit unit electrically connected to the light emitting pixel unit, and the conductive wires 103 are electrically connected to the pixel driving circuit unit to provide driving signals to the pixel driving circuit unit to make the light emitting pixel unit in different operating states, where the driving signals may be at least one of data signals or scanning signals, and accordingly, the conductive wires 103 include at least one of data lines or scanning lines.
In the present embodiment, taking the plurality of conductive wirings 103 including data lines and scan lines as an example, the conductive wirings 103 include: first conductive wirings electrically connected to each row of adjacent pixel modules 102, the first conductive wirings serving as scan lines for providing scan signals to the pixel driving circuit units; and the second conductive wirings of each column of adjacent pixel modules 102 are electrically connected and used as data lines to provide data signals for the pixel driving circuit units.
It should be noted that, in other embodiments, the conductive wirings may also be only data lines, or only scan lines.
In this embodiment, the pixel module 102 is an OLED pixel module, and correspondingly, the light-emitting pixel unit is an OLED light-emitting pixel unit.
It should be noted that, in other embodiments, the pixel module may also be a Micro LED pixel module, and the corresponding light-emitting pixel unit is a Micro LED light-emitting pixel unit, or the pixel module may also be an LCD pixel module, and the corresponding light-emitting pixel unit is an LCD light-emitting pixel unit.
