Detailed Description
As shown in fig. 3 and 4, a sliding rail mechanism according to an embodiment of the invention has a first side S1 and a second side S2. Preferably, the first side S1 and the second side S2 are opposite sides (opposite sides).
The slide mechanism comprises a first rail 22 and a bracket device 24, and herein, the slide mechanism further comprises a bracket 26 and a second rail 27 as an example.
The first rail 22 has a first end 28a and a second end 28b, such as, but not limited to, a front end and a rear end. On the other hand, the second rail 27 can be displaced relative to the first rail 22 to be in a retracted position or an extended position. Here, the second rail 27 is arranged on the front surface of the first rail 22 as an example.
The bracket 26 is connected adjacent the second end 28b of the first rail 22. The carriage means 24, on the other hand, is attached to the first rail 22. Preferably, the bracket device 24 is connected to the first end 28a of the adjacent first rail 22 by a reinforcing cover 30 on the back of the first rail 22. The reinforcing cover 30 and the first rail 22 can be integrated, for example, the reinforcing cover 30 is fixedly connected to the back of the first rail 22 and can be regarded as a part of the first rail 22. Preferably, the reinforcing cover 30 includes a first wall 33a, a second wall 33b and a sidewall 34 connected between the first wall 33a and the second wall 33b, wherein the first wall 33a, the second wall 33b and the sidewall 34 define a space 36.
One of the carriage assembly 24 and the first rail 22 includes a structural feature 38 for communicating the first side S1 and the second side S2 of the slide rail mechanism. Here, the bracket device 24 is exemplified to include the structural feature 38. Preferably, the feature 38 is a cable opening, but is not limited in implementation. Further, the bracket device 24 includes a first wall 40a, a second wall 40b and a side wall 42 connected between the first wall 40a and the second wall 40b of the bracket device 24, wherein the first wall 40a, the second wall 40b and the side wall 42 define a space 44. The sidewall 42 of the bracket device 24 is mounted to the first rail 22 through the reinforcing cover 30, and herein, the sidewall 42 of the bracket device 24 can move relative to the first rail 22 through the space 36 of the reinforcing cover 30, and the sidewall 42 is provided with the cable opening as an example. Preferably, a mounting member 46 is attached adjacent an end of the side wall 42 of the bracket assembly 24.
Preferably, the slide rail mechanism further includes a reinforcing member 48 received in the space 44 of the bracket device 24. The reinforcing member 48 includes a first supporting wall 50a, a second supporting wall 50b and a middle wall 52 connected between the first supporting wall 50a and the second supporting wall 50 b. The first support wall 50a, the second support wall 50b and the middle wall 52 are respectively corresponding to the first wall 40a, the second wall 40b and the side wall 42 of the bracket device 24 and are capable of supporting relative to each other, and the middle wall 52 includes a corresponding feature 54 adjacent to the structural feature 38. In this embodiment, the corresponding feature 54 is a support hole and the support hole is located corresponding to the structural feature 38.
Preferably, the first supporting wall 50a and the first wall 40a are bent portions that can be supported relative to each other, and the second supporting wall 50b and the second wall 40b are bent portions that can be supported relative to each other. Accordingly, the support strength of the slide rail mechanism is facilitated.
Preferably, the reinforcing member 48 further includes a first engaging portion 56 for engaging with a second engaging portion 58 of the sidewall 42 of the bracket assembly 24. For example, the first latching portion 56 and the second latching portion 58 are configured to be protruded and recessed (or holes), such that one of the features allows the reinforcement member 48 to be detachably connected to the bracket device 24.
Preferably, the stiffener 48 further includes a first abutment 60 for cooperating with a second abutment 62 of the sidewall 42 of the bracket assembly 24. For example, the first abutting portion 60 and the second abutting portion 62 can abut against each other to help the strength and/or reliability of the installation of the stiffener 48 on the sidewall 42.
As shown in fig. 5, the slide rail mechanism is adapted to mount an electronic device 64 to a frame 66. Specifically, the electronic device 64 is, for example, a server, a hard disk, a power distribution unit, or the like, but is not limited to the embodiment. The frame 66 includes a first mast 66a and a second mast 66b, and the masts 66a, 66b each have a plurality of mounting holes 68 (the mounting holes of the second mast 66b are not shown due to the perspective).
Further, the first rail 22 of the slide rail mechanism is mounted to the first mast 66a via the bracket 26, and the first rail 22 is mounted to the second mast 66b via (the mounting member 46 of) the bracket device 24. Since this part is within the technical scope that can be understood by a person skilled in the art, it is not described herein for the sake of brevity.
The electronic device 64 is arranged on the first side S1 of the slide rail mechanism. The electronic device 64 can be disposed on one of the first rail 22 and the second rail 27 for carrying the electronic device 64, and here, for example, the electronic device 64 is disposed on the second rail 27, so that the electronic device 64 can be moved from the inside of the rack 66 to the outside of the rack 66 through the second rail 27 or pushed into the rack 66 from the outside of the rack 66.
The structural feature 38 communicates the first side S1 and the second side S2 of the slide rail mechanism. Specifically, the structural feature 38 is used for a cable 70 of the electronic device 64 to pass through. For example, the cable 70 may be threaded from the first side S1 of the track mechanism to the structural feature 38 (and the corresponding feature 54 of the stiffener 48), and thus, the cable 70 may be exposed to the second side S2, or threaded out to the second side S2. According to this configuration, the cable 70 can be easily accessed by the maintenance personnel directly from the side of the slide rail mechanism or the rack 66 (e.g., the second side S2), thereby improving the convenience of the maintenance operation.
As shown in fig. 6, the electronic device 64 is mounted to two pairs of first 66a and second 66b posts of the rack 66 by a pair of slide rail mechanisms. One of the pair of track mechanisms has the structural feature 38, and through the structural feature 38, the maintenance personnel can directly access the cable 70 at the side edge (e.g., the second side S2) of the track mechanism or the rack 66, thereby providing convenience in operation. In other words, according to this configuration, it is possible to solve the problem that the maintenance person needs to walk to an end position (e.g., the rear position B) of the slide rail mechanism or the frame 66 to obtain the cable 70.
From the above description, it can be seen that the enhanced efficacy and advantages of the present invention are:
a. the track mechanism has a first side S1 and a second side S2, and one of the carriage assembly 24 and the first track 22 includes the structural feature 38 communicating with the first side S1 and the second side S2 of the track mechanism. When the electronic device 64 is disposed on the first side of the track mechanism S1, the cable 70 of the electronic device 64 is accessible to maintenance personnel on the second side of the track mechanism S2.
b. The reinforcement 48 and the bracket device 24 can be supported relative to each other for added structural strength, and the reinforcement 48 has a corresponding feature 54 adjacent the structural feature 38 to facilitate a track mechanism supporting the cable 70.
c. The stiffening member 48 is removably attached to the bracket assembly 24 and thus may be added as desired.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the present specific embodiments, it will be recognized by those skilled in the art that the above embodiments are illustrative only, and various equivalent changes and modifications may be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention, and therefore, it is intended to cover in the appended claims all such changes and modifications as fall within the true spirit of the invention.
