Background
When producing hot rolled strip steel, especially thin hot rolled strip steel, the intermediate blank has long retention time between the roughing mill and the finishing mill, fast temperature drop speed, large head-tail temperature difference and large edge temperature drop. These all affect the strip thickness tolerance accuracy. At present, most iron and steel enterprises use a hot coil box to solve the temperature drop problem of thin-specification strip steel.
The hot coil box is positioned between a rough rolling mill and a finishing mill of a hot rolling production line, and mainly has the main functions of carrying out mandrel-free coiling on a rough rolling intermediate billet, uncoiling the rough rolling intermediate billet to remove the head and the tail of the intermediate billet and the upper and lower surfaces of the intermediate billet, and then feeding the intermediate billet into a finishing mill group for rolling.
The most important characteristics of the hot coil box are that firstly, the temperature of the strip steel is uniform: the heat transfer and the heat radiation are generated after the intermediate blank is coiled, so that the head-tail temperature difference of the strip steel can be reduced, the temperature drop of the edge of the strip steel can be reduced, and the black mark generated by the strip steel in a heating furnace can be reduced; secondly, the scale breaking effect is achieved: the mechanical bending deformation in the coiling and uncoiling process enables the brittle and hard iron scale on the surface of the strip steel to be broken, and the finish rolling and descaling become easier. Thirdly, the metal yield is improved: when thin gauge strip steel is produced, in order to reduce the head-tail temperature difference of the intermediate billet, the temperature of a casting blank in the furnace must be obviously improved. By adopting the hot coil box, the heating temperature does not need to be greatly increased, the oxidation burning loss of the casting blank in the heating furnace is reduced, and the energy consumption is saved.
The use of the hot coil box effectively reduces the temperature drop problem of the hot rolled strip steel, but the bending of the strip steel by the bending roller easily causes surface defects to the strip steel, particularly scratches on the surface of a high-strength hot rolled sheet such as an acid-washed automobile sheet. The bending roller is in contact with the surface of the intermediate blank for a long time, so that the iron scale is adhered to the bending roller, and further the scratch-type iron scale defect is generated on the surface of the intermediate blank. The surface abrasion iron scale defect brought by the hot coil box to the high-strength hot-rolled sheet seriously affects the surface quality of the strip steel, a large amount of manpower and material resources are input for technical attack in each steel mill, and the prior effective method is to adopt a bending roller with surfacing welding and excellent wear resistance and needs to be replaced regularly. The method has obvious effect of controlling the defects of the surface scratch type iron scale, but has high cost.

A high-pressure water descaling device is added at the inlet of the hot rolling box, so that the adhesion of the iron scale of the intermediate billet on a bending roller of the hot rolling box can be effectively reduced; the levelness of the bending roller and the supporting roller of the hot coil box and the roller gap of the bending roller of the hot coil box are controlled, so that the uneven abrasion of a steel coil and the roller surface can be effectively reduced; the bending roller is additionally provided with a roller surface high-pressure water blowing and cooling device, so that the temperature of the bending roller can be effectively reduced, the roller surface iron scale can be effectively removed, and the adhesion of the iron scale on the roller surface can be reduced; after the intermediate billet is coiled for 4-5 circles, the supporting roller is automatically and slowly opened, so that the contact time between the supporting roller and the intermediate billet can be reduced, and the abrasion between the supporting roller and the surface of the strip steel can be reduced; the head of the threading speed of the hot coiling box is 3.0m/s, the speed of the middle and tail parts is 4.0-4.5m/s, the speed raising rate is less than 0.2m/s2, the speed of the intermediate blank is less than the speed of the bending roller and less than the speed of the coil supporting roller during coiling, and the problems of coil loosening and flat coiling after the bending roller is opened can be prevented; after the F1 bites the steel, the roll gap of the pinch roll is automatically lifted, so that the contact time between the intermediate billet and the pinch roll can be effectively reduced, and the abrasion is reduced.
